something about how chip casted shape water while thinking of how gillion does it, not knowing it was his own power and not destiny's blade
something about how you can hear the fondness in gillion's voice when he realises chip can cast spells
something about how the spell chip is trying to cast changes to burning hands now that gillion is back
something about how chip and gillion are opposites of each other, just like fire and water

chip wanting to drop felipe off on an island (with money) so that gillion wouldn't get stabbed every night is true love
in this essay i will -
i recently finished the ep where jay has a call with grandma ferin, and i've had thoughts ever since (spoilers ahead):
jay's always been the one with a little more smarts, a little more common sense out of the albatrio. she's usually the one trying to keep chip and gillion out of trouble, and more often than not, she's solo-ing the big evil boss while chip and gillion are stuck doing some bit.
chip and gillion have fondly said "jay's the smartest" and "jay's the smart one here" countless times.
she didn't feel so smart hyperventilating into the conch shell with her grandmother on the other end.
she didn't feel so smart when she froze up the moment she heard her grandma's voice, unable to form a single intelligible sentence to even remotely try to pretend she was still undercover and working for the navy.
after she had retreated to the captain's quarters, chip and gillion had come to the conclusion that they didn't really know how to help her, and that jay had probably already figured it out anyways.
but she didn't.
so much for being the smart one, huh?
and if not for aslana's sudden visit, she would have probably spiralled in her thoughts all night. she would have probably stayed up replaying the conversation over and over, each time ending the same.
because she was the smart one in all things except when it came to the ferins.
do you ever think about the fact that it’s possible drey ferin and caspian are the same/similar age.
do you ever think about the fact drey was only in his early twenties at the time of the hole in the sea.
do you ever think about the fact that he finally tasted freedom on his breath, he finally felt a hint of that acceptance and that love he never got from his family. the fact that he was finally loved not for how well he followed rules, but for being himself. the fact that he finally found his place w the black rose pirates.
do you ever think about the fact that he lost ten years of himself to the hole in the sea. ten years of his mind. ten years of his life. of the people he loved. jay was still in school playing with dolls, and by the time he saw her again, his niece had grown into a whole adult.
do you ever think about the fact that chip now is nearly the same age that drey was in the oneshot. how do you think he feels knowing chip, in the end, fell to the same thing he did; the black sea.
do you ever think about drey ferin being. yknow. a ferin. the sureshot of the ship. and not being able to use his arms anymore.
do you think about how he was SO FUCKING YOUNG DURING THE EVENTS OF THE HOLE IN THE SEA LIKE I DONT THINK YOU ARE HEARING ME HE WAS YOUNG. HE BARELY MADE IT PAST BEING A TEENAGER. HE IS NOT AN OLD MAN HES HARDLY IN HIS 30S

chip jrwi has been dead for 1 slutty slutty year. congrats king

Hey can we talk about Jayson telling Gillion "your gods are dead"? Cuz ummmm.
That wasn't a fucking lie. Clearly they can kill leviathans. And it's probably more than one.
We know that they haven't gotten to all of them, as Pelagus is still around, or a least very recently still around. And there's probably a few leviathans that are sleeping/growing at the bottom of the ocean, like how Dugon is.
Pelagus is probably being chased, seeing as it seems like one of the more trackable leviathans, what with the storm following it. But the storm probably also helps it, as it generally makes it much harder to sail in.
But like, either way, the navy are killing what are considered as gods. Using them to artificially design leviathans.
What about Gillion? He's presumably a leviathan (a very young one at that). He's a very powerful leviathan.
One that they cloned. Might I say.
However, it is was made clear that DoppelGilly is not divine. Like, at all.
I know Gillion radiates divinity, due to the prophecy. But surely it's also because he is literally a leviathan's kid.
DoppelGilly didn't radiate any divinity. Meaning that the navy probably couldn't replicate that amount of power and godliness. Sure, he got enough to do magic and shit like that. But nothing divine.
But they still have the ability to clone Gillion. Surely they wouldn't limit themselves to one clone. What if they die? What if they're found out? What if they're faulty? They'll need a replacement.
So if the can continue to clone Gillion. The might be able to get closer and closer to true divinity.
And they'll continue killing leviathans until Gillion is the only true leviathan left.
(Or I'm completely wrong. Y'know, could be the case)
