Blue isn't your colour. - Joe Sugg Imagine #5
Hey guys, a short imagine that popped into my head while scrolling through Instagram. I hope you like it! Love, Kat .xx
Pairing: Joe Sugg x Reader Word count: I don’t have a clue. —————————————–
I didn’t want to be here. The music was too loud, the people were too drunk and the air too thick. On top of that I was getting a terrible headache. I didn’t even wanted to come but my best friend and truth be told only friend convinced me. She’d always do that. Telling me it would be the best party ever, telling me there would be loads of got people, telling me she’d be by my side the whole time. But then we would get to the party and off she went to some guy or some friends and I would be alone. I was feeling very homesick. Since I moved to London I hadn’t be able to meet people who I actually liked apart from Sarah, said friend. I sighed as I looked through the room occasionally making eye contact with somebody but quickly looking away. I wanted to go home. Home to where my friends were, were my family was, were my happiness was. I sighed as I felt tears rising in the back of my throat. I didn’t want to cry. Not here. But I couldn’t stop myself from feeling lonely. I decided to go in the garden to hide myself from all the people who could possibly see my miserable state. I grabbed my beer from the table and made my way to the door. The cold air was cooling my face down and stopped the tears from falling. I leaned against the hard brick wall and looked up to the stars above me. “Please.” I prayed. “Please let me be happy again. I am so lonely. I don’t know what I can do anymore. I want to go home so badly but my parents would be so disappointed. I couldn’t do that to them. Please send me a sign. Something to hold on to.” I didn’t really believe in God but I was so desperate. I sometimes wished to be like Sarah who was literally friends with everyone. She was funny, cute and easy to be around. I wasn’t. Especially when I was down. “Why are you at a party if you’re sad?” I looked down at the person who just talked to me. He was looking at me questioningly, his blue eyes sparkling in the lights of the night. “I’m not sad. Just tired.” I tried to hide my true feelings. “Okay, then why aren’t you just leaving?” He came closer, I could smell his cologne. It was the same my father used to wear. “My friend which I came with has met her Boytoy of the night. So I probably just wait till she’s had enough of him and grab a cab with her.” “Boytoy?” He laughed but it wasn’t at me. It was with me. I smiled. “Yeah. She’s got a lot of them. Maybe you could apply. I mean you would be her type.” He laughed even louder. “No, I think I’m good. Can I apply to be your Boytoy though? I would give it a go.” Now I was the one laughing. “No, I’m not like that.” “That’s sad. I’m Joe by the way.” “Y/N.” We shook hands and the way his eyes crinkled as he smiled at me made my heart race. He was cute with his lopsided smile, wide eyes and blonde hair. He was not only Sarah’s type but mine too. “So, Y/N, how are you planning to spend your night? Standing here, looking at the stars and wishing you weren’t here or grabbing a drink with me and telling me more about yourself?” He actually did it. He made me feel good. I smiled at him looking down at the lukewarm beer in my hand. “Well, I think I need a new drink, so…” “That’s the answer I was hoping for. Come on, I’m gonna introduce you to my friends.” And with that he grabbed my hand and interlaced our fingers. I let it happen, silently sending a big thank you to God. Joe was the sign I needed to not lose my hope. It was literally the best party I’ve been to all year. Joes friends greeted me with warm smiles and friendly hugs and finally I felt like I wasn’t alone anymore. I ended up sitting in a quieter corner and telling Joe why I was sad in the first place. He listened with serious eyes and his hand found mine again. “You know if I hadn’t met you tonight I’d probably spend my night feeling sorry for myself and missing my friends so… Thanks? I guess.” He smiled at me rubbing his thumb along the back of my hand. “I have to admit something. I’m pretty close friends with Sarah and she told me about you. The last time you were at a party with Sarah it was actually my party. I saw you and you were the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen. But your eyes were so sad and you looked so distant that I couldn’t talk to you. I was afraid I’d make it even worse. But I couldn’t stay away from you any longer. I couldn’t stop thinking about the look in your eyes, skimming through the crowd looking for something you didn’t seem to find. I wanted to be the one you were trying to find. I wanted to be the one you’d be smiling at while making your way through the crowd to me. So I begged Sarah to drag you along. And there you are. Looking as beautiful as the first time but looking equally as sad.” I shook my head in disbelief. Why would someone who seemed to be the life of the party even notice someone like me? “I- I don’t know what to say, I mean…” “You don’t have to say anything. Just listen. If you want I would like to make you smile everyday you let me. If you want I want to learn every single fact and quirk about you. If you want we can start to make this something special. Because I don’t know about you but I would love to be someone for you.” I blushed at that. No one had ever been that honest about their feelings with me. But I knew I wanted that. I needed that. I needed him. So I nodded and grinned. “You applied and got the job.” Referring to our first conversation. He laughed and led me to the dance floor for our first but definitely not last dance.
