Did You Know I've Been Serialising A Story In My Newsletter For Nearly A Year?
Did you know I've been serialising a story in my newsletter for nearly a year?
A Net Too Wide To Break His Fall is about Callum, who is invisible and inaudible and essentially nonexistent to anyone he hasn't been introduced to.
You might think that wouldn't be too big an issue but the boy is also extremely bad at maintaining close relationships with the people he knows (ie the ones capable of introducing him to new people)
Basically imagine if letting your friendships and family relationships lapse led to you functionally becoming a ghost.
Callum's solution to this is to get involved in organised crime and then almost immediately decide to turn coat, which has led to the situation he's currently in.
Latest chapter in the reblog, all previous chapters collected here:
Ready: The first renewables course
It's the latest Ready edition of the Foggy Outline newsletter, Ready & Waiting! With:
💨 A brand new Udemy course with answers to common questions about renewables, like "are they actually unreliable?" and "why should some countries have to rely on renewables when others built themselves on fossil fuels?"

What do you MEAN there isn't a London Tide album. Not a cast recording not PJ Harvey sings the songs album. What do you MEAN I can't even find evidence of a PLAN to make or release one. What do you MEAN my fragile already-degrading memory of those songs is all I'll have of them. I want to rotate those songs until I can bridge the gulfs of those intervals with my mind. They were surely not written to be heard just the once.

Can any world survive a benevolent god?
Coming Summer 2024 from @foggyoutline and @wirelesstheatre:

In this upcoming audio drama podcast, each episode is a prayer, some prayers are granted, and a granted prayer can upend the world.
For fans of

Each episode of I Need A Miracle is a short monologue. A new character every episode. Never the same character twice. Always addressing a plea to a listening deity – which never makes a sound.
Play god
You, the listener, stand in for a silently listening god. Hear brazen demands for divine intervention and vulnerable, secret pleas for deliverance. Whose requests would you grant and why? Does anyone deserve a miracle?
Play detective
Which pleas are granted? How does the listening being decide? What are the Upheavals that regularly wrack this world? What threatens to rise from the Depths? And can any being with ultimate power truly be benevolent?
Play the heartstrings
I Need A Miracle is all about the many kinds of wanting, and the many ways of asking for help. How would you make your case to an omnipotent being who grants some miracles but not others, based on ineffable criteria?

Hi I just made this new account to review podcasts.
I listen to them when I’m at work so I go through a lot of content. I like fiction podcasts mostly horror, comedy, or sci-fi. I like educational podcasts but I don’t like true crime or dnd.
I only recently became interested in writing and media analysis, someday I want to get into voice acting but I’m not sure where to start.
My top fav currently active (as of 6/8/24) podcasts right now are Midnight burger, silt verses, magnus protocols, and philosophize this. I’m going to make a tier list of every podcast I’ve listened to. Follow me if you want to hear me yap about podcasts.
