Nick Cave chioma nera, viso emaciato, sguardo tetro e profondo. HA le caratteristiche fisiche del poeta maledetto. E' il cantautore più significativo degli anni Novanta, perché rispetto ai suoi colleghi riesce ad andare più a fondo. Sa esplorare gli abissi della mente, ai confini con (e spesso oltre) la follia. Sa terrorizzare e illuminare, sconcertare e commuovere. Il suo vasto repertorio non è da meno: disperazione, orrore e morte si inseguono in canzoni malate, ossessive, ma sempre pervase da un'ansia di redenzione!
