the whole concept is great but beside it I really appreciate levels of surreal.

Yeah (not) listening to existential crisis

One thing I find hilarious about NSBU is that everyone seems to have forgotten Dave was with them when they got transported to Action World, which means he's probably wandering aimlessly around, incredibly confused about his situation, while nobody's looking for him

So ummm...

We got Annette Badland. I got her to say silly fantasy things like "the Lectors of the Divine Benevolence"

@merelymatt says, what can I say about Annette Badland? A legend; a pro; we're so lucky to have her. Her first take was prepared and flawless, then director Rob gave her a different direction to try, and her second take was as flawless as if she'd known what he'd suggest and rehearsed that too. She just flipped a switch and immediately became this alternative version of the character, without a stumble. It's all the team could talk about for the rest of the day.

He hunted on his hands and knees among the shattered remains of the chair for more bits he could improvise into lockpicks.
