Clockwise from top left: 1. timetable spread inspired by Amanda Rach Lee, + test tracker which helps me track my progress on studying and doing tests. 2. expenses log + bullet journal spread for last week, inspired by @j-christabel 3. essentials for bullet journalling last week. not a lot, but enough. p.s. that’s actually a warm yellow mildliner (idk looks orange??)
hope y'all have a great week! good luck for the first day of school (if any of you haven’t started yet). september printables and wallpapers 90% ready, so look out for them 🌼

Decemer 2019
A little late, but this is my December spread for 2019! ✨
It’s okay if you’re not an artistic studyblr
If the concept of doing calligraphy makes you cry a little on the inside.
If the idea of putting together a cohesive theme makes you dread bulletjournaling.
If you look at your spreads and your notes and wonder why they’re not as pretty as the ones you see on your dash.
This community is built around a shared love of academia and bettering ourselves in our studies. Even if it sometimes feels like people only get notes if all their original posts look pretty and flawless and artsy, know that there’s a significant chunk of the community who cannot feasibly do that (Myself included).
So here are some bujo/notes ideas for the people like me who’s abilities extend to wielding a ruler to draw straight lines and (attempting) to write in cursive.
A minimalistic spread. Get an idea of what elements you want in your spread and just get the spacing down- No ruler necessary for straight lines! (It’s easiest to do this with a gridded journal).
A monochrome spread. If the thought of putting together a theme makes your head hurt, simply using a black pen and a pen and highlighter that are around the same color will still give you an aesthetic-y look. You can use your colored pen for headings, words you’d like to emphasize (Like vobabulary) or especially significant tasks.
Not a doodler or an artist? That’s okay! Fill in the blank space around your items with quotes that you really like or movies that you want to watch that you’ve heard or learned about over the week. If you pick a different color for each (Red for quotes, orange for movies, yellow for songs etc.) And if you make a lil key you’ll have a little organization system without dedicating entire pages of your bujo to lists of movies to watch and books to read.
Your bulletjournal can double as a scrapbook. You went to see the moves that week? Tape your ticket stub into some blank space and use the colors on the ticket to guide your theme. The same applies for pretty much anything- candy wrappers, movie and concert tickets, flyers. If you want- tape that sucker in and use it as a theme guide. Or just tape it in because it looks cool.
Of course, if you’re somebody who wants to get better at calligraphy and banners and such, I only have one thing to say to you and you’ve probably heard it a million times before: Practice. Practice hard. Know that you’re not going to be a master overnight but with some practice and maybe a little bit of tracing, you’ll be golden. I believe in you friend.
So that’s about all I have to say. Most of this was in regards to bulletjournal, but I think I got my point across. I would just really appreciate a little more support in the community for people who aren’t visual artists or very talented in that scope. I hope everybody has a nice day!
