how to learn new content and never forget it
save this for your next academic year and finals, and it’ll save your grades and time.
1. whenever you read a paragraph with new content, close the book/look away and ask yourself: “what have i just learned?” explaining the concept to yourself right away and asking follow-up questions will change the way you retain new material forever.
2. at first, it’ll be daunting, and it’ll be pretty hard to actually bring yourself to do this. trust me, it’ll be worth it - as this is scientifically proven one of the most effective study techniques.
3. to try this out, set yourself a timer for how long you estimate learning a concept might take. now take away 20% from that estimate. you won’t be able to reach this goal with basic highlighting and re-reading techniques - but with active recall, you will.
4. once you’ve understood the concept, use spaced repetition systems like anki flashcards to force yourself to retrieve this information in a set period of time. this way, your brain will always be reminded of this concept before it could possibly forget it.
5. teach it to others as much as you can. as with the old wisdom “see one, do one, teach one”, one of the only guarantees you’ve really gotten something is when you can effectively teach it.

Today I went to the library, and I met the kindest old man in my live. I was drinking coffee and doing notes, and this man sit next to me and start talking about Gustav Jung, which his book I was reading. I love this kind of people <3

I woke up with feeling "Why I'm doing this, it's 4:40 AM, am I serious?". But, I had to go, 'cause today I had one hour of philosophy, two hours of humanities and one hour of history, so it's my favourite day at school.
When I came back, I was studying, doing my homework and reading. In the evening I was listening Nirvana's album and tiding up in room.
I'm a little stress about tomorrow 'cause we'll have important meeting about our play in Saturday, and I'm pretty nervous about it. But, I can do this, it's not that bad.
Now I'm going to sleep, 'cause I have to wake up 4:40 again, but this time the first lesson is science and chemistry... :((

I don't like being ill. Really, it's sucks.
I wasn't know what to do with me, so I started doing my history project about Jewish community in our city. Sounds interesting, but it's not that easy as I thought. But quite fun thing if you don't know what to do with yourself.
I was watching documentary about Jeffery Dahmer, reading "Talking with psychopaths" by Christopher Berry Dee, and just sleeping. If I weren't drink coffee today, I would probably fall asleep for all day (coffee my personal Jesus ☕)

20.09.2023 I know, big break, sorry for that. I hope that now I'll post regularly. Quick note, 'cause it's almost midninght. Busy day, early woke up, get ready, bought coffee on my was, and first we had philosophy. I had a few classes today, and after that me and my friend went to the Jewish cementary to take notes and pictures for a school project. I picked up my sister from school, and when we were back at home, I was studying for a chemistry test tomorrow (I'm scared). That's it. Love you guys as always, take care <3

Why is it September and today the weather was the same as in July? I want rain, cloudy sky and leaves on the roads :(( A quiet morning, I bought coffee on the way, I had a chemistry test (I'm praying I get a good grade on it), after school I was sitting in the library doing my homework. When I came back home, I took care of my sister and we watched anime with her. Then I did my homework and got ready for tomorrow Now I'm reading "Hamlet" and I'm about to fall asleep. Good night, sweet dreams <3

I was studying geography and reading "VÄKI", listening playlist on Spotify and Nirvana on CD. Sleeping, working in art project (I'm afraid that I can't finish it on time, even when deadline is 19 October... It's hard to do)

Tell me one thing guys. It's November. Why, just, why I see Christmas stuff EVERYWHERE? It's literally autumn
Chill day. I was in a bookshop with my dad in the morning (bought three books, and my dad was laughing and he was like "just three? Wow, how it could be possible with you") and we ate a breakfast in nearest bakery (croissant with avocado, tomatos, feta and spinach - the best thing in the world).
I went to my grandma for a lunch, I was studying and doodling, also reading and just doing nothing. In the evening I was cooking with my step mother, and when it was dark, we went to the cemetery. It's beautiful view, dark sky and light from candles✨
My art competition went well, I've got third place. It's not that bad I guess. Our play is coming in Friday, and I'm stressed so much. Also so much of studying and just feeling exhausted sometimes after all (coffee is my personal Jesus) But, it'll be okay soon💕💕
