First self-indulgent rant in a while, but I really really really really hate antis’ aphobia and fetishization of asexuality whenever they chant that “Sessh is ace” just so they can shit on SessRin.

Asexual people have sex, news fucking flash. Stop using asexuality, an identity you don’t even fucking understand, and fetishize it to mean ‘uwu ace people don’t have sex’ just so you can say your headcanoning Sessh asexual makes him ‘uwu pure he’d never have sex uwu’ (all of this just to say he wouldn’t have sex with Rin of course, because the second it’s about a different character paired with him, that shit flies out the window anyway). Fuck you. Asexuality is a spectrum, all who identify as asexual experience asexuality differently and also interact with sex very differently. People can have sex for the sake of their partners, they may be sex repulsed, or they may not, they may have sex for fun, or they may not. Having sex (or not) is a choice, experiencing sexual attraction is not.

Asexuality is about sexual attraction and the lack of it thereof, but the presence or absence of sexual attraction and the act itself of having sex and the motivation behind it are two different fucking things. To begin with, Sess IS on the ace spectrum (demisexual at that btw), BUT he sure as fuck didn’t even need to be sexually attracted to Rin to (be able to) love her and want a family with her, because that’s not what asexuality is fucking about. There are other types of attraction too fyi, not just sexual attraction. And again, having sex is a choice, aces can choose to have sex irrespective of whether they experience sexual attraction or not. I absolutely hate these ignorant people who just trivialize and put everything and everyone in a box just for fucking fake activism over some lines on paper.
