Happy STS! What's a smell that reminds your OC of home? Are these good or bad memories? @catharticallysarcastic
@catharticallysarcastic ahhh yes happy sts! c: sorry for the late replies, I'm catching up and trying to reply (slowly but surely) I REPLIED ON A SATURDAY, FINALLY
a smell that reminds Hyeri of home is the lavender scent that her grandma always uses. because the apartment where her grandparents live is pretty small (though, her grandmother never fails to invite the whole family still knowing this), the scent is the first thing that hits her when she usually walks in.
mostly associated with good memories, since she's been close with her grandparents! though, i don't know how she'll react to that smell knowing that her grandfather only has a few months to live now...

I picked up "save the cat: writes a novel" and tried to use it as some loose structure for myself, and so far, it's getting most of the ideas going for me! I do understand the acts and kind of the "formula" of a story better, and am trying to get a foundation for it right now.
Still, I'm tamping down the urge to write haha, and trying to work on Destination Seoul if I actually want to draft. Have to keep myself occupied somehow... and being creative DOES TAKE YOUR ENERGY
YOU CAN DO IT (probably better than I can too lmao)
after this WIP I'll plot so extensively the word "pantsing" won't even be in my vocabulary anymore
or so I say-
Writing a prologue after ignoring all the writing advice that says prologues are unnecessary is something that can be so personal
when writing a novel:
beginning: excited
end: excited
middle: there's a plot? and character development?
Iām getting back into fantasy again (slowly but surely) so if anyone has some good book recs please let me know! š
š¹ write a vague blurb about your WIP, for example, "a rude elf and a dumbass dwarf find out they're actually related and must stop a big problem"
apologizing how this took literally a month to get a reply back, but here it is (whoops):
for my current fantasy wip which i hate to plot in the month of june: a sarcastic teen who should've died 18 years ago and a nine-tailed fox that devoured 99 spirits but one find out that they need to pass the 10 hell gates in order to be reincarnated
for destination seoul / my contemporary wip which i desperately need to finish: to avoid third-wheeling at her aunt's wedding and to prove to herself that korea shouldn't be as daunting as it seems, hyeri employs kim taeyoung as her fake date
