I picked up "save the cat: writes a novel" and tried to use it as some loose structure for myself, and so far, it's getting most of the ideas going for me! I do understand the acts and kind of the "formula" of a story better, and am trying to get a foundation for it right now.

Still, I'm tamping down the urge to write haha, and trying to work on Destination Seoul if I actually want to draft. Have to keep myself occupied somehow... and being creative DOES TAKE YOUR ENERGY

after this WIP I'll plot so extensively the word "pantsing" won't even be in my vocabulary anymore

I will never not be soft for two characters looking at something and then character A saying 'It's beautiful' and character B softly going 'Yeah' but they're not looking at the thing but character A, like take my heart

I’m getting back into fantasy again (slowly but surely) so if anyone has some good book recs please let me know! 💗

Gosh… such a long time ago since I read fantasy haha. I loved These Violent Delights, Caraval, Percy Jackson, Heartless, An Ember In the Ashes, etc.?

I’m hoping to find some more POC fantasy though, possibly myths from other cultures and stuff, since that’s the genre I kind of want to branch out in. But any fantasy is nice too! 💗

romance wise, you have to try any mariana zapata book. I love Kulti and From Lukov with Love. ya wise, fantasy there's These Violent Delights, XOXO from Axie Oh (if you like kpop/korean drama soft vibes), and You've Reached Sam (though this one will make you cry).

Also, imagine having only one wip. I wish I had the dedication... I now have several that need my attention, and it's driving me insane (mostly in a good way).

It’s complicated.

You’d think I’d be more excited, coming to Korea over summer break. But this is a mandatory family roasting session in the guise of a meeting. Trying not to topple over while dragging the luggage bag from the taxi’s trunk, I glance up at the 11-story apartment. It’s quiet. No hands sticking out through the nets, no voice shrieking our names.

I don’t know whether to be worried or relieved.
