Behold the soup that is my brain! Big nerd, I love D&D and I paint warhammer figures too. Usually I post miniatures I’ve been working on. She/Them

It Begins!
It begins!
A quick update. I’ll be expanding the Slaanesh cult quite a bit. Do I really need 19 more cultists? No, but is it in the spirit of excess to add 19 more cultists to my already quite large gang? Hell yes it is!

I’ve been sitting on a box of Cawdor for a while and waiting until i felt i could comfortably order some Unmade for some kitbashing

My progress so far with some Redemptionist bits thrown in for good measure. I still need to mess around with the heads in blender a bit so I can start printing.
I’ve remade my old gang leader as i thought he deserved a bit of a glow up. The stilts and even beefier chain glaive really help make him proper menacing.

Finished this guy a couple weeks ago but haven’t gotten around to taking any decent pictures until now.
I got him as a birthday present and simply had to get started as soon as possible.

This model has been a real test of my skill and patience but I’m happy with how he turned out. I didn’t realise quite how huge he is before I’d put him together.

Non metallic Lion El’Jonson was truly an undertaking. The sheer amount of complex gold caught me off guard and getting the green armour right took some time.

I had some struggles figuring out what i wanted to do with his sword but i landed on a vibrant green as I like power weapons nice and colourful.

A closer look at his plasma pistol. Over all he’s been a fun project even though the size and complexity of this figure made the process a little more taxing than usual.
I already have a bunch of first born marines that have been gathering dust for far too long and it’s about time i got around to them.

Here are the tactical marines that are ripped off their old 25mm bases and ready for some paint and new 32 mm bases but I have a bunch more that I need to paint strip.
Most of my old space marines are from two assault on black reach boxes and two dark vengeance boxes. So lots of monopose marines and lots of air brush work to be done.
Another spawn of chaos joins the fray
I had some spare bits from my redemptionists so i figured it would be a nice way to tie this guy to the rest of the cult.

I figured the daemon head didn’t quite fit what i was going for so i sculpted a ring of teeth there instead.
I wanted the mutations to be a different colour than the guy they burst out of and figured that a flayed look would pop well

The base was a bit of an obstacle as i don’t have any neceomunda bases in this size so i had to make my own. I took one of the 40mm bases from the accursed cultists box and went to town with a knife, plasticard and a couple greeblies.

Chaos spawn provide a fantastic canvas for conversions as they’re very forgiving when it comes to messy sculpting and wonky proportions.

Some friends and I were playing an RPG over discord and i felt like doodling. I got out the pens and pencils and once I started I couldn’t stop. Pretty happy with how it turned out.
The party is going around on a spell jammer, doing mercenary work. All the characters are absolute weirdos and it’s wonderful.
I’m playing as a magical ooze inhabiting a diving suit.

It’s having a snack :)
I mentioned this gang in a previous post I and figured it was time to show them off. They're a Cawdor gang turned to the worship of Slaanesh.
Formerly devout followers of the emperor and proud members of the Redemptionist cult, now screeching the praises of a new master.
Seeking atonement for their sins through purifying fire, their prayers were answered but not by the emperor. Something in the flames spoke to them, it spoke of the lies told to them by preachers and propagandists.

Maddened by their experience and turned from the imperial creed, they set out into the underhive to spread their faith. They believe that pain will liberate them from the limits of their mortal bodies and souls and are only happy to share the suffering that others may see the truth.
Members of the cult leave their old identities behind by burning themselves beyond recognition, donning heavy iron masks to be their new faces and adopting new names.

This gang has been in the works on and off for a while now. most of the models are just Cawdor and Redemptionists with a head swap and sometimes a little bit of sculpting. the heads are from Reptilian Overlords Miniatures.
I find that Necromunda's relatively low model count means that you can put quite a bit more time in every model while still keeping it manageable.
It's already a sizeable gang but i do have plans to expand it further. plans include The Unmade from warcry as well as another Cawdor kit to make some of the more deranged members of the cult. I’m also working on a stig shambler I’m building from some spare bits as well as two more spawns made from accursed cultists in the works to represent the higher tiers of chaos spawn
I couldn’t wait to paint this one. This is the new model for my necromunda gang leader. Converted from a blissful one, I’m really happy with how he’s turned out.
Not the best light for taking pictures but ill get some better ones once I’m done with the rest of the heretics.

His name is Lakalom the pilgrim, he is not the first to bear the name nor will he be the last. It is said that those who take on the name will begin to act more like him for every day that passes and even claiming to be the very one who crossed the ash wastes on foot in search of the gifts offered by the great pyre.

I had this idea of making some of the new heretics partially flayed as they take the redemptionist beleif in purification through pain and twisted it to perfection through pain.

I absolutely love the designs of the unmade and knew early on that I had to do something with them for this project. Had to change his pose a bit in order to even get him to fit on a 32mm base

He’s probably my favourite conversion so far. All the pieces came together without much struggle and painting him was really fun.

Here he is next to his old model. The old one was already too tall for some of the terrain we use and this glow up sure ain’t helping.
