A. True. True.
A. True. True.
B. listen forget the lift to the airport; everyone knows damn well that for Zim that shrimp would dive onto a freaking grenade & Zim would also absolutely ask him to dive onto a freaking grenade. But he would not accept that ride.

In other Q&A notes, at one point Jhonen described Skoodge as "the kind of guy who would drive you to an airport" and I've never heard a better description for Skoodge's entire personality

[Read the Holy Book]
You open to a random page:
"The boy came to a clearing, where a great bloated tick wallowed in a shallow pond, and he found that he could not speak, for She had filled his mouth with leeches as he was running through the swamp..."
You open to a random page:
"You will know you have come to the kingdom of the Hierophant, for the roaches will have the teeth of men, and the wasps will have not stingers but tongues, and the worms will twist themselves into knots until they are torn and bleeding..."

"Her mother, whose head was full of the Tattered King's perverted songs, shut the girl in the attic, where blood dripped from between the teeth of the mad-eyed rocking horse and the spiders laughed like murderers..."
You open to a random page:
"The Priestess sank into the mud, which whispered to her as it filled her ears, and she felt His oils and secrets slide across the wrinkled flesh of her brain, and she shivered, and the knife burrowed under her ribs..."

"And She waited there, beneath the soil and the loam, fed with meals of consecrated blood, and the teeth and sinew and seed grew within her belly as she moaned and prepared to birth a coven of new daughters..."
The actual worst part for me was looking closer and realizing how much of the bulk of this entire wreck is the frozen mass of old, dead rotcysts. A snapshot reminder of just how disfigured the structure already was even before the collapse. You’re not walking through a ruin. You’re walking through a carcass preserved in the frost, disease and all. Something that went from a purposed chimera of the mechanical and organic, to something more horrifically, sickeningly organic than not, to something resembling closer a desolate scrapyard than a thing that was ever fit for any form of life.
I can’t help but wonder what on earth will the next civilization will think to conclude when they eventually discover this grave. If there’s anything they even could make of it by then. If we found the literal bones of a being truly so alien, incomprehensible, borderline divine compared to us, would we even be able to tell?

CL_H02 is one of those really great rooms in Silent Construct that at first appears completely foreign but, upon looking just a little harder, becomes hauntingly familiar
Grandmother’s Garden level loading/area transition screens hit in that some different kinda way I tell you, especially on replays, for their foreshadowing-

Bloodbells gather on their steel arms
scaled feet tacky with old blood
presaging some violence, calamity
taking their seats to wait for
the show to start

if you put your hands to the ground
and go real still, you can feel them
thumping down beneath the dirt
angry
suffocating forever, being drained

It feels like a coat made of leather leaves
it throbs and whispers
vital but not warm
you can feel fluid moving around inside of it

Somewhere there are places where
grass catches water from the sky
and if you run outside with no shoes or socks the ground is gentle and sweet
and nothing is buried there that can’t be talked about

She likes the song of crickets
And the swirling of the flies
And the way the scarlet locusts
Seem to hunger for her eyes

There’s blood beneath her fingernails
And bile on her boots
And a stirring in her stomach
From the singing of the roots

She shares her bed with insects
She sleeps away the light
Pretty soon her skin will blossom
So her veins can drink the night

Stay inside honey
watch your cartoons
you don't need to see what i'm doing out here
