Iterators

I was going off my memory so I forgot a) their headsets b) moon's eye colour

I started with pebbles and then thought it would be funny to make a way better looking moon

I have been so excited about this project!! 3D printed a pair of iterator antennae headphone attachments :D

The size is measured to my Philips TAH4205 headphones so they clip on without any glue or tape, .STL files and .UFP files (formatted for Ultimaker S3 printers through Cura) are included here!

These are fresh off the 3D printer, I plan to paint them silver tonight to seem more metallic >:]

UPDATE!! THEY ARE NOW PAINTED!!!!

It took a bit of sanding but everything is acrylic paint and gloss sealant! The gloss texture helps them seem shiny + there's a bit of glitter in the silver paint I used :]

These have a black base coat to darken the thin silver paint I had and to add some scratched up/aged texture to them

Haven't been feeling good about some of my art recently...

I had a thought regarding Saint being capable of ascending iterators.

For something to ascend, it must be part of the cycle, right? Were the iterators, created to search for an escape from the cycle for an eternity, trapped in the same endless spiral too? Did they, one cycle, die only to wake back up- connected to and a part of a system perhaps previously incomprehensible, told to find the solution to a problem perhaps unsolvable?

Was there an ancient that died, only to come back as the thing created to solve a problem they conceived? What a shame that must be. Not even allowed to go search for the void sea for a way out or live out a new life. No longer bound to a spiral, but anchored in place. Not bound, yet unable to leave.

Trapped in one spot, watching the world pass by for all of an eternity.

This could very much be incorrect, but it's still a thought I had.

Its an iterator that after years and years and years of being left alone to deal with the great problem, had a breakdown and decided that ascension is bullshit and that its gonna live life and do whatever the fuck ix wants. Which happen to involve experimenting with purposed organisms a lot.

Which eventually gave an idea to ACTR, that ze should modify hir own puppet, to cast aside the image opposed on it by the ancients and to maybe even escape hir own can. So it did, albeit having to break some encoded taboos regarding iterators not being able to modify itself, which may or may not have the side effect of severely mutating some organic bits mainly the puppet itself when xe got it removed but its fiiinnnneee. After all ve can fix that!

So many a genetic modfication later designed to make ACTRs puppet more "cool," it now looks like this and can leave its can whenever ix wants to have adventures with xir purposed kids. Fuck yeaa!!!!

I made an iterator OC for Rain World. :3 AND BEFORE ANYONE SAYS ANYTHING, YES, I USED LTTM's PICTURE AS A BASE!!! I've never drawn robots much before, so I wanted to be safe and have something as an outline first.

This, is Eight Waves Upon A Rocky Shore. This iterator controls a completely different region from the ones in the game, one that I'll flesh out more, but it's home to a beautiful crystalline cavern region, a suburban Ancient development, and an overgrown fungal forest. I'm ass at drawing environments, so it might be awhile before you get to see that.

Anyways, Eight Waves isn't fully fleshed out, but I have the idea of a generally sassy iterator that's into astronomy and the stars that gets bored inside their can and somehow figures out a way to free their puppet to go exploring the world around them while their superstructure operates on an automated plan. Maybe some conflict in her story could come from the inherent danger of separating their interface from their 'body' of sorts, or noticing how her mission will soon become null once the last Ancients die out. Probably not the most original idea, but tbf this OC only popped into my head like, yesterday, and I loved the idea of an iterator getting lonely and literally breaking loose to go explore.

Regarding design, I tried to be funny with wires on their head to look more like braids rather than just long hair in itself. She also wears a black cloak and has a golden glow from the orb on the forehead. Eight Waves was originally going to be pearl white, but blue just looked better to me.

I also think that if I had to place my oc in the timeline, I'd put her right as the last few Ancients were ascending and effectively going extinct, so maybe I'll try to have an encounter between Eight Waves and an Ancient, or an Echo at least.

But other than that, this is all I have for Eight Waves. I might also make a Slugcat OC of my own. I'll also draw better, NOT TRACED art of Eight Waves once I have a solid grasp of their design.
