Just beat the Spearmaster campaign and

1. ｡ﾟ(ﾟ´Д｀ﾟ)ﾟ｡ oh my godddd

2. Very interesting spice on the mechanics in this run! I was very intrigued with the changes made to the world and how the increase of enemy spawns along with Sm’s unique way of eating basically forced me to start adjusting to the most aggressive and no-bullshit playstyle yet.

4. This is my favorite commentary so far from a non-playing friend I’ve been filling in on the whole journey:

If I had a nickel for every time an ostensibly non-horror puzzle game gobsmacked me in the face by taking a fearsome AI/sentient superstructure with unimaginable power, a capricious mechanical god-like who began the story looming over me with disdain,

and then for their sins, humbled them down into a state of terrified helplessness, their mind-body slowly eaten away bit by bit, left with barely a shred of life in the ruins of their own crumbling facility, using what little energy they had left comforting themselves with a melody that left me chilled through with dread and pity,

I would have two nickels, which isn’t a lot of nickels, but you probably know how the saying goes.

Iterator POV:

The actual worst part for me was looking closer and realizing how much of the bulk of this entire wreck is the frozen mass of old, dead rotcysts. A snapshot reminder of just how disfigured the structure already was even before the collapse. You’re not walking through a ruin. You’re walking through a carcass preserved in the frost, disease and all. Something that went from a purposed chimera of the mechanical and organic, to something more horrifically, sickeningly organic than not, to something resembling closer a desolate scrapyard than a thing that was ever fit for any form of life.

I can’t help but wonder what on earth will the next civilization will think to conclude when they eventually discover this grave. If there’s anything they even could make of it by then. If we found the literal bones of a being truly so alien, incomprehensible, borderline divine compared to us, would we even be able to tell?

CL_H02 is one of those really great rooms in Silent Construct that at first appears completely foreign but, upon looking just a little harder, becomes hauntingly familiar
