It Has Recently Come To My Attention Via The Carowinds Website That Carowinds Calls The Drop That Goes
It has recently come to my attention via the Carowinds website that Carowinds calls the drop that goes under the pedestrian bridge after the horseshoe turn the "HIVE DIVE," and if anything, I feel like this adds onto my point that more theme parks should give random ride elements fun nicknames lol
Random thought of the day: If Kings Island can nickname the helix on Orion the "Orion's belt" element, then I think that they should call the helix before the splashdown on Diamondback "the coil"

Here's some pictures from the queue of Diamondback from opening day! This coaster's one of 2 at Kings Island that never fails to make me nervous while I'm queuing for it, the other being Orion. There's just something about B&M hyper coasters that apparently freaks me out XD
Jokes aside, I'd say this (which was my 4th ride on it) was my best ride yet on Diamondback. My first time, I didn't really like it too much, but I've found the more chances I give it (& by proxy, the more I go on it), the more I learn to appreciate it & the more fun I seem to have had by the time I get off. Plus, the entire track's been fully repainted! Last season it was only part-way done, and you could see where they'd stopped painting it from the spot where the train passes next to it. Now it looks all nice and pretty with its new completed fresh coat!
That being said, am I the only one who feels like Diamondback's ride feels longer than The Beast's? No? Just me? Alright then-

I sucked it up and drew another one
This is Nicholas Sarin, my Nemesis Reborn OC! He's a proud worshipper of Nemesis who's stuck with having to juggle being a member of the Phalanx whilst also being deemed the "Prophet of Nemesis," able to communicate with and use magic granted to him by Nemesis herself. As you can imagine, the whole "Nemesis Reborn" thing has been putting him through a fair amount of stress as of recent. He's probably been pushing a lot of the Seek the Truth stuff from the inside just to spite what the Phalanx have been doing to Nemesis ngl.
Yes, the Phalanx know that he's a Nemesite. No, they don't really care so long as he doesn't tell anybody and/or sacrifice anyone to his space crab goddess. He's seemingly proven his loyalty to them, and that's all they really care about. That being said, he's kept on a relatively short leash.
Here's some other info (most of it about his design) because this is a pencil drawing and there's obviously no colors lol:
- His hair is blonde. He actually dyed a streak of it bright red in honor of Nemesis Reborn's opening year
- His eyes used to be a strikingly bright green, but as of recent, they've turned a vibrant shade of red...wonder why that is...
- The veins on his neck & face should be a practically glowing bright red as well. These veins pretty much cover his whole body. The glow is due to the magic that resides in his blood.
- The gas mask isn't a necessity for his design, but he's been wearing it more frequently since Nemesis Reborn has been open to the public. Underneath that mask, he's got some notably sharp canines and a couple of claw marks on his left side of his jawline.
- He prefers to keep his nails on the longer side. On that note, the skin around his nails isn't pretty. He bites them when he's particularly nervous or bored.
- When in the Phalanx uniform, he wears a pair of black fingerless gloves.
- Would probably unironically growl at you if you pissed him off enough.
Let me know if there's anything you want to know about him! I love talking about my characters & I have a decent amount of OC lore for my Alton Towers characters that I may share some day if I find the motivation to lol
