I’m not sure how I feel with how crying-shadow-Karkat looks but I really like how he looks on the bottom bit lol

And Teddy Bear screams this to me for some reason lol

I gotta figure out how to draw hugging better 🥲

Also I have decided I will be giving these boys BEAUTIFUL EYELASHES FROM NOW ON BECAUSE HOW COULD I NOT!!

And Alphabet Boy gives me the Gamzee vibes, crazy little scrunkly boy he is my son

Let me just add i listen to the live performance recording of Hadestown, I do not care for the Broadway Cast recording. Epic III in the Live recording has much better lyrics and storytelling, very beautiful and poetic and is also just top tier everything lol

Listening to Epic III from Hadestown and thinking of the Grand HighBlood with the Signless. A young GHB and young Signless meeting before their respective roles needed to be filled. Star crossed, fate touched, never to be. Something about this song feels fitting about them.

In doodling for the song Training Wheels and I have a cute scenario I like.

Gamzee and Karkat meeting when they’re young, little Gamzee hurt with a scarped knee and Karkat out and about for some reason or another wondering why this young Purpleblood is even out here or crying at all. What a sad and pitiful sight. He comes back and instantly begins tending to Gamzees little scratches, the poor little guy. Karkat is obviously saying he’s silly for crying over a little scratch, you must be so clumsy how have you survived this long-

They had recently learned about quadrants in their schoolfeeding. Gamzee is insantly enthralled with this shouty little boy, who has such a harsh tongue and yet is treating him so tenderly, is obviously full of too many sharp little edges for someone young as them and wants to smooth them out. Karkat instantly feels a gut reaction, that this poor purpleblood boy lost in the woods, with sad eyes and ragged clothes, needs someone who can take care of him. A pale crush forms and they are so new to learning of quadrants and they tiptoe around eachother then for sweeps until finally they obviously become moirails.

BAM!!! Childhood Friends to Lovers trope. I really hope that makes sense, that feels like it was everywhere and idk if I’m getting my idea across 🥲
