A Few Days Ago I Wrote A Sentence With The Phrase You To Be And Google Tried To Correct It To Youtube
A few days ago I wrote a sentence with the phrase “you to be” and google tried to correct it to youtube lol. It’s so dumb

Was re-reminded recently of this ridiculousness from google docs. For context, my character is climbing down a cliff.

My sentence: “I diagree.”
Your sentence: “That’s great news!”
Daron: “I do not believe that is quite correct.”
Catalina: “How about we think about this a different way.”
Aria: “You’re wrong. And stupid.”
Naomi: *cries because she hates confrontation*
Character Voice Tag
@amaiguri tagged me in this, thank you! it looks fun! [their post]
Rules: Write a specific sentence in several characters' voices; you can also use a single action line to help, but the focus is on syntax!
My sentence is, "This morning, breakfast was bad."
Guri brought up context so I thought the context here would be the characters on the vessel in space*. It also limits the cast, since there are so many of them in my series.
Loke: "Limited food options here, huh?"
Jake: "Food this morning, what was that? I've never tasted anything like it before."
Adina: "Breakfast was shit."
Lucy: "May I inquire if the breakfast offered this morning is supposed to have that texture? I see."
Kari: "Breaking fast with food like that makes me understand why the humans are so meek."
Spacy: Throwing their hands in the air, unable to taste it, they don't concern themselves with this matter.

Your sentence is: Close the window.
Earlier this week one of my students told me there’s a book fair at her school so I told her how much I miss book fairs. So she told me she’d buy me a chapter book. Of course, I told her that I have plenty of chapter books and she should save her money for herself.
I come to work today and she actually gives me a book. Here it is:

I love this girl.
Find The Word Tag
Thanks @owlsandwich for tagging me! Turns out that I have never written the word freeze, so I had to take some liberties.
My words are: wisdom, freeze, and expect
The new words are: red, sun, and calm
Wisdom
Her equally dark eyes held a type of wisdom that I knew then that would never be able to fathom.
Freeze
All of the lounge chairs were lined up to the millimeter and the water was so clear and still it appeared frozen.
Expect
"That’s the problem with you Spiritwalkers–-you set all these dumb rules and expect the whole world to go by them."
I'm tagging @missionsparrow @marz-writes-shit @sophielovesbooks as always, no pressure
I have to read Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott for a class and one thing I liked is she wrote characters should be based on you or someone you know. So that got me thinking where my characters came from.
And I genuinely can’t remember.
These people just popped into my head one day and erased any trace of where they came from. I only remember my inspiration for Cassidy and Kelsee because Cassidy is me and Kelsee is me if I was a bully.
Night Flight
Written for @flashfictionfridayofficial prompt 242, soaring above.
I only have one character who can fly, Naomi. So I wrote this about her finding her inner-strength.

Naomi had always been weak. She never minded much that she couldn’t hold an illusion for long or levitate high because she never needed those abilities growing up. Instead, she was book-smart; enough to get into the most prestigious academy in Serenta. It was her pride. But now, surrounded by friends who were so strong, she couldn’t help but feel like she was weighing them down.
She couldn’t bear it anymore the night her friend group was attacked. Everyone sprung into action, chasing the assassin, examining the weapon, making sure the others were alright. Everyone but her, who froze in fear even though she wasn’t the target.Â
Shame followed her to sleep then stuck by her side the next day. Shame kept her from meeting her friends’ eyes, despite them telling her she wasn’t a burden. Shame told her she needed to do something.
She waited a week until the moon was full, and her powers were at their strongest. She knew she couldn’t try something little and call it a day. So she climbed up staircase upon staircase until she stood on the edge of the dormitory roof. Oh, this was such a bad idea. Getting hurt wouldn’t help her friends in any way. She looked up at the full moon. It twinkled and winked, promising to not let her fall. Naomi took a deep breath and leaped.
She levitated, hundreds of feet above the school grounds. For a moment, all she could do was stare at the courtyard below her, not quite trusting herself to move. But then she became angry at herself. She was always stuck when she needed to take action.
Naomi slowly propelled herself forward, away from the ledge’s safety. As she became more comfortable, she tried twirling. A laugh bubbled up from her throat as she spun as weightlessly as a leaf in the breeze. She couldn’t believe she never tried anything like this before. It felt so right.
Naomi soared over the whole courtyard and the garden, dotted with glowing nocturnal flowers, before she felt an ache in her muscles and sweat beading across her brow. She slowly lowered herself to just above the treeline, but couldn’t sustain her powers and plummeted the last few feet directly into a bush. She brushed leaves from her hair with scratched hands, steeling her resolve to become stronger.
She climbed back up to the roof the next night, but without the full moon, she couldn’t stay in the air for as long. She tried again every night, and little by little, her powers grew.
She perfected gliding on her back as if she was swimming through a pool of starlight. She built up her endurance enough that during the next full moon, she managed to fly all the way to the neighboring town. She saw the outline of the mountains in the distance, the gateway to her clan’s territory. Her heart swelled at the sight, the sudden surge of feeling nearly knocking her out of the air.
But Naomi safely planted herself back outside the dormitory. She was sweaty and windblown, but she had never felt better.
