BoJack, come home. I can’t. I don’t belong there, I don’t belong anywhere. But that’s the thing, everybody belongs in Los Angeles. There’s, like, no barrier for entry. Oh, God, that’s true. They do let in just anybody.

Love didn’t just happen to us. We built it slowly over the years, stone by stone.

Bookai 2k18 || Day 3: Trick or Treat (day late but hey)

“Sooo,” Kai starts, taking careful steps toward her. He easily eats the magic out of the wards, and licks his lips in delight as he sidles closer. She eyes him like a cornered animal, a part of her ready to let the thing inside her out to relieve the world of his existence if he so much as makes a wrong move.

He crouches before her, cool eyes locking with her feverish ones, “I hear you are in dire need of a siphon?”

just a little something for the bookai thingy - this is unbeta-ed . all mistakes are mine. post series finale. i havent watched that show since s6 so i’m not sure about Abby’s condition (vampire, not vampire no more) and i’m kinda too lazy to check so please bear with me.

xxxxxx

The tremor almost rips out her spine. Her mouth opens wide, as she’s ready to vomit the thing inside her, but the black parasite only clings its claws further down her throat and pushes her stomach lower. It burns and Bonnie buckles down to her knees.

Breathe in and breathe out. Just breathe, she reminds herself. Expression snickers in her ear, nature bound magic pleads for her not to give in, suffusing cold warmth to the dark thing recoiling inside her, feasting on her Bennett essence.

She shuts her eyes and turns her senses inward, summoning whatever strength remaining to appease the thing, she needs a hold on herself, just for this little while. Especially for this little while.

Just let me out.

“No” croaks out of her lips and she swallows hard enough to let her intentions be known. After what feels like half a lifetime, Bonnie manages to curl herself into a tight ball in the furthest corner of the Lockwood cellars. Her eyes dart around the dank cells, settling on the claw marks and rust coated chains lying in wait for another forsaken soul to be bound to. Her wards hiss against the whispers of bloody memories and Bonnie shivers.

It’s the safest place she’s found to contain the bursts of expression infected with that thing eating its way out of her, feeding off of her will, her thoughts, her moods to materialize their ravenous destructive ways. And she thought expression had been chaos. This thing is much more potent. Expression can be wielded, can be cajoled into a weapon. This just infects and feeds and feeds and burns. Anything, everything.

The reason why she absolutely refused to allow Josie and Lizzie to siphon it out of her. She can still see Caroline’s horrified eyes when she stumbled into her home, panting in Abby’s arms, as she was being fed on from the inside.

She’s tried everything, Abby contacted everyone, but nothing helped. Every spell seemed to make it grow. She feels its teeth get sharper day by day, raking the flesh as it thanks her for its sustenance, she is the perfect vessel for it. All that power. Her Bennett heritage honed into its full potential after years of travelling and learning the craft.

Bonnie grits her teeth when another wave chafes at her insides, fiery claws score her skin, seeking to carve her open, for it to finally be set free.

The clang of metal cuts through the whispers filling her ears and she turns to see Abby open her cell.

“He’s here.”

Bonnie inhales strength into her, schools her features into an inscrutable mask and presses her bent legs onto her chest. When she feels she has enough of a hold on herself, as tentative as may be, she locks eyes with her mother’s and nods.

“Wow, they weren’t lying. You really don’t look so good.”

Bonnie doesn’t reply, she only offers a poison filled stare to the foe that fate seems intent to tie her to. Her eyes slant back to Abby.

“You can go now”

“I am not leaving you alone with him-“

“Abby, please go,” Bonnie heaves a tired sigh. “Whether it works or not, I am not sure my wards will be enough to contain whatever happens. I don’t want you to get hurt.”

“I can take care of mysel-”

“Abby,” and her voice is cold steel. “Please. Go.”

There is a long silence and Bonnie stifles a wince. This seals it as Abby turns toward an unusually silent Malachai Parker.

“If you so much as hurt her-“

“Oh but I will hurt her, it’s the the only way to help her,” Kai crows before raising placating hands to Abby’s descending fangs. “You’re the one who called for help, and I’m here. Last time I checked, little Bonnie over there left me to rot in a prison cell. Which still hurts my feelings, Bon.”

“Abby, go. I can handle him.”

A few heartbeats pass but Abby eventually wooshes out, leaving a heavy silence drape over the cellars.

Bonnie inhales another breath, tightening her arms around her knees, her back presses further into the wall behind her, bone knocking against stone.

She would think this an hallucination, a retread of the nightmares that plagued her some years ago when she dragged herself bleeding and broken out of his prison world. Kai, babyfaced, evil pinocchio smiling down at a weakened Bonnie, once again at his mercy. She wishes it was, but the pain searing her reminds her that, no, this is as real as can be, that, yes, he found a way out of his cell, yet again.

Her eyes sharpen and she almost wills Expression free when he lifts a tentative hand toward her face.

“Relax,” he whispers and her magic pays heed. “I just want to know what we are dealing with.”

She shivers when the searing, hungry graze of his siphoning purrs against the parasite clambering up inside her to sniff the seemingly intrusive force.

She watches as Kai scrunches his nose in disgust. “Where the hell did you get that thing?”

Bonnie finally speaks. “New Orleans. Seems like the last hurricane unearthed something that was buried there for centuries.”

“And where anyone would steer clear, you go check it for yourself. Tsk, tsk, still no sense of preservation I see”

“Just shut up and take it out of me-”

“You better ask nicely then.”

All traces of giddiness flit his features, and she sees the same face that stared at her in the cave after she thwarted his plans to escape and sent her bear back instead. He watches her with the same mix of warning, anger and anticipation and Bonnie glares right back, not willing to give an inch despite her predicament.

“If you can’t help, then you can get the hell out,” she spits and his eyes narrow but she doesn’t have time to see them blaze in anger when she is wracked by another tremor that makes her head fall onto her knees and leaves her panting for air.

Bonnie hears Kai heave a sigh, his presence way too close, familiar and still as overwhelming. She welcomes it however as it makes her not think of the thing scaring her. She counts to ten and lifts her head to meet his seemingly blank stare. But Bonnie’s learned to decipher him as well as he does her. The Kai that became after his merge can no longer hide from her. Where his eyes used to be empty pools of nothingness, sole warning before he would strike, now they are marred with traces of concern and frustration.

“This will hurt. Really bad,” he finally concedes against her stony silence.

“Tell me something I don’t know”

“Ok. This will hurt way more than when I siphoned you back then. Like a thousand times worse.”

Bonnie juts her chin, staring right back at him. “I can take it.”

Kai chuckles, shaking his head. “No, you can’t. I get that you and pain are true BFFs. But this is something else. It is going to fight me, and hurt you in the process, it doesn’t care what you are, it will fight back. And it will hurt like hell.”

Bonnie shrugs. “Noted.” Kai narrows his eyes and her mind is too foggy, anger he wheedles out of her too bright, to rein in her snickering words. ”Why the long face? You should be happy. You can get back at me and have me owe you one at the same time. Win win for you, right?”

And she regrets her taunts when his features falter before settling into their familiar mask, his mouth twisting into the cruel smile she’s come to know so well. “Fine. Be that way,” is the only warning he offers before he takes her wrists into his hands and starts eating the magical fungus infecting her.

Pain, visceral and lacerating, paints everything red and Bonnie screams. Air evades her lungs and she yanks her wrists away from Kai’s burning hands, flaying her skin raw to tear the parasite out of her. He lets go when she jerks away from him, fury making the walls shudder, Expression sharp and ready to stab through him.

“Do you believe me now?” he asks, out of breath, swallowing the little he could eat out of her.

“You fucking piece of shit,” she spits at him

“The piece of shit that’s willing to help, thank you very much.”

“You call this helping?” she rasps, still trying to even her breathing. “I can’t,” she shakes her head, panic filling her as the sensory echo of that unbearable pain clings to her mind. “I won’t make it, not like that.”

“You can … if you do not focus on it,” Kai kneels before her, muscles taut, eyes hungry.

Bonnie’s senses alert her to the shift in the air, Kai’s tone too careful not to set off alarm bells within her. She can feels the dizzy frenzy coating his aura. And her heart stutters, as she remembers. Where she only equated siphoning with pain, it inversely translated into the purest form of pleasure for the one doing the taking. The flash of Kai’s sated sigh after he tore magic out of her when they were stuck in his world fills her mind and Bonnie recoils as much as she can into the wall.

“Bonnie?” He knows that she’s cottoned into his thoughts, and it scares her now to realize how much of a mark he has left in her.

She hates him right now, so much that she wants to make him bleed, paint the cellars with his blood and feel that sweet thrill that had coursed within her when she heard him beg for her, call out her name in desperation through space and time, as she abandoned him in a prison of her own making.

She’s not stupid and is aware of what he’s suggesting.

“And how do I not focus on the pain?” she still asks.

To her surprise, where victorious taunting is expected, she is met with a wary, uncertain Kai.

“Um, well, how to say this?” Bonnie coolly watches as he evades her eyes, scratching the back of his neck before squaring his shoulders and settling dark pupils filled with barely contained want. “Pleasure has always been a good antidote to pain. Well, at least, a pretty good distraction. You know, ying yang and all that jazz…”

“You’ve got to be kidding me.”

“I wish I was”

“Stop fucking lying”

“I’m not. I swear. Look, I have imagined this to happen in a lot of different ways, a lot, trust me on this. And most of them have you actually jumping my bones, or at least not hating my guts while doing it.”

“I’m not fucking you Kai.”

“Oh I know and I didn’t say that,” he chuckles, but it feels despondent and empty. “What I’m suggesting is distracting you, for your sake, not necessarily mine.”

At her narrowed eyes, Kai huffs an annoyed breath. “Come on Bon, do you really want me to spell it out for you?”

Bonnie searches his eyes for any trace of double, hell, triple entendre, backstabbing being as easy as breathing for him. Lies form on his tongue and leave his mouth in tune with every breath he takes and she promised herself not to see any trace of sincerity in his words.

She can feel unfurl the familiar coil of want that grows every time he conjures that irrational hatred toward him, and she is loath to admit that he is right. It does serve as a distraction, it makes her mind wiggle out of the embrace of the pain searing her insides to flit between all the instances she imagined she would let him touch her. Because she too has seen it happen in a lot of different ways, and in most of them, she still completely hated his guts. But that is not for him to know. It is just for her to answer that annoying question that springs about every time he looks at her as a delectable treat he is eager to taste, to slake the whims of her body she has been trying to bury for too long.

Bonnie lets the silence stretch, then meets Kai’s darkened eyes. They turn alive when she nods.

                                                       *********

Whimpers tumble out of her lips, slipping through her gritted teeth, her body burning, exorcised of demons, new and long born alike. Bonnie nestles her head in the crook of Kai’s neck, her free arm snaking his back to cling to him for dear life.

Kai has her sitting on his lap, trapped in his embrace. One arm circles her trembling form, his hand clutching her wrist, where dark lines spread from her skin and crawl into his veins. His other hand is nestled between her half bared thighs, her jeans pushed down to her knees. His fingers move in and out of her wet folds, each slow thrust sending a delicious thrill that cocoons her mind in a sweet haze and soothes the jolts of pain out from his siphoning.

It hurts and it feels so good and she burns, her heart pressing against her ribcage, lungs achingly filling with the dank stench of the underground cells, the smell of Kai’s sweat and the scent of both of their arousal, hers, coating his nimble fingers that slowly, painstakingly draw a painful climax out of her, and his, hard and stiff pressing against his jeans and her thighs.

Kai’s choked pants tickle her ears, his chopped breath fans over her cheeks, as she feels his eyes fastened to her hidden face, silently urging her to look at him. She won’t give him that satisfaction however, not when her eyes are glued to his fingers going in and out of her vagina, stretching her inner walls, threads of magic following their path and tracing gentle urgent circles against her clitoris until she is wracked with a sweet wave of liquid heat spreading to her toes. It makes her parasite a present yet distant memory. Bonnie closes her eyes shut and bites her lower lip, trapping a moan inside her throat.

Kai clutches her more into him and she opens her eyes to see over his head, the chains and rocks levitate in the air, the metal door of the cell twisting, ready to snap. A dark mist is clouding over them, but she cannot make sense of it. Her eyes droop, half closed, her heart races, beating faster against her ribcage, as her vagina tightens around Kai’s fingers, her body readying for her climax. She can feel the remnants of the thing infecting her, fighting Kai’s greedy hunger as it claws to her stomach, rebelling against the siphoning teeth tearing it out of her skin.

“Fuck… me…” Kai croaks out as his head lolls back and rests against the wall, stopping his ministrations and her body almost cries in askance. Bonnie can see through the fog of her mind his face contort, mouth open in a silent moan, while dark veins converge from his throat to spill their poison into his tongue. And the mist grows heavier over them, turning everything else cold. She hisses when his siphoning burns even more intensely, his lips turning black when he swallows the last of her parasite. His pants soak with his release as he lets out a trembling breath. She tries to wrangle her wrist out of his iron grip but it only makes him hold onto it even more as he seems to reclaim his bearings. Kai looks down onto her and her heart stutters when he locks white pupils with hers.

He offers a lazy smile and whispers, “there you are,” before resuming to work on the bundle of nerves between her thighs, fingers stroking that fragile mound, teasing the lips of her core before pumping lazily into her, making Bonnie surrender to intoxicating adrenaline fraying her nerve endings. She closes her eyes shut and lets her head fall backwards as sweet pressure builds anew, pleasure blooming and taking root between her inner folds, harvested by Kai’s fingers that stretch her aching core and rub her clitoris. She feels her Expression crawl out of her, set free, she sees red, fire, something squiggling as it burns, changing forms while it decays into golden ash.

One deep thrust and Bonnie keens, eyes peeling up to see dark grey staring back at her again, pupils wild as if in a trance. Behind him something burns, twists against the shackles of flames. Kai’s breath mingles with hers and she can feel his lips ghost over hers. Bonnie swallows another moan and turns her face to evade his coming kiss. He has had enough of her for now. Instead she clings to him, riding out his hand. The cellars door finally snaps in two when she comes fast and hard. She sinks her teeth into his neck, coiling onto his chest until the last shudder fizzles out of her body.

Their heavy pants are muffled by the hullabaloo of chains and rocks falling back to the ground, the cellars coming alive again after the temporary stillness that trapped all in its confines.

Bonnie doesn’t look at Kai when she grips his hand still half-lodged inside her and eases him out. A heavy sigh is his only response when she quickly stands and pushes her soaked panties up, grimacing against the stickiness and buttons her jeans. Her eyes land onto a dark circle lined with ashes seared into the soil, where she had seen flames before.

She can finally breathe, her body light, nature shrouding her into its familiar, safe embrace. The relief is almost as exalting as the orgasm Kai siphoned out of her. Goosebumps litter her arms, and she shivers from the cold and the graze of his presence gently pressing against her own. Bonnie inhales a calming breath, before turning to face him.

“Thank you, for – for helping out,” she blurts out, any sign of composure out of the window when Kai’s gaze still burns her, a dazed smile, coated with half sated desire, twisting his lips.

He stares up at her for a few moments that seem like an eternity, hunger coating his pupils, and Bonnie’s heart skips a beat. She glares at him, taking a step back. This pulls Kai out of his trance, his Adam’s apple bobbing when he swallows hard.

Kai eventually nods, standing up, “Anytime. Always up to lend a helping hand.”

Bonnie lets his innuendo slide, glancing at his hands and wrists, bare of any trace of the dark thing he tore out of her and ate.

“Are you going to be alright,” and at Kai’s surprised smile, she quickly amends ”With the parasite I mean. Are you sure it won’t latch onto you like it did to me? It seems I burned some of it but we never know with these things.”

This tampers his initial reaction, replaced by something dangerously akin to disappointment that Bonnie chooses not to entertain. “Yeah, I didn’t digest any of it. Seems like it got out of me as I was swallowing it. Nasty little shit though. Tasted like a bad taco-“

“A simple yes would have been enough”

Kai barks out a laugh and Bonnie feels it in her bones.

He takes a tentative step forward. “So, are we even?”

Her silence feels heavy, as if nature holds its breath, bearing witness. If there is ever a time for flight, it is now.

Bonnie shrugs and does just that. She flees from him without looking back. A part of her sighs in relief when he doesn’t give chase.

TVD/Book!TVD Crossover AU

On the eve of Klaus’ hybrid transformation, Bonnie and her comrades are interrupted by an unexpected guest.

I’ve been sitting on this idea for a while (after rereading the books again) and I was like screw it Nafeesah, you gotta write this out. So here we are. This oneshot is set during 2x21 and Bonnie’s an Obeah practitioner in this. Fyi my spanish is crap but to be fair I used three different translators so please bear with me.
