29. 7. 2020 - We are out of town to visit my sister for her birthday :). She still has to go to work though, so I get to work on my schoolwork in the mornings.

19. 7. 2020 - Time flies way too fast!

I didn't even realize it's already been like a month since my last post. 😅 I passed two of my finals and am having the rest at the end of summer. My uni lowkey saved my ass by stretching the finals period all the way into September, since mental health and social distancing really hit me like a ton of bricks and for some of my courses I haven't studied or read any of our material yet. 😓

Now I'm back home and I decided to clear out my room and change the layout. It's been the same for my eight years of highschool depression, so getting a fresh space seemed like a good idea. 🙂

9. 6. 2020 - I continue to do things 😊

My blog is getting so much activity these past days and honwstly guys I don't deserve all this love from you 😅 I think the idea of a studyblr is to be in some way helpful and I'm not that, I don't think.

But I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I hope something about me and my posts manages to inspire or reassure you. ❤

8. 6. 2020 - I actually did a thing! 🥰

So my information science final is next week and I looked at all of our lecture material and took notes only today. Did anyone else spend the entirety of quarantine just mentally and physically wasting away?

Better late than never but knowing me I will still feel bad about it untill the end of time.

12. 5. 2020 - I haven't posted anything in a while, because I haven't really done anything in a while 😅 Any other students out there that just completely lost any sort of routine. ~We're all in this together 🎶

Thankfully my uni will have an extended finals period from June to September, so I'll be taking my exams as I finish things.

If anyone out there is following me on this 'changing my major journey', the entrance exams got pushed back to late June, which is a bummer but I understand ✌

22. 4. 2020 - I'm an idiot sandwich

I blinked and now the semester is mostly passed and I didn't have one whole unit done for any of my subjects. 🙃 It's so difficult to get myself to do it, since most of it won't count once I change majors, but I guess now is about time to wake up. 😅

14. 4. 2020 - After procrastinating heavily for seven weeks I guess I am not in a place to be questioning the time when I get a sudden urge to be productive 😅 Promise to not make it a thing ✌ Goodnight everyone~

Hello :) Haven’t posted for a week again, but I had an assignment to create some sort of infographic and it turned out pretty good. I used Canva and am hoping it’s okay to share my creation like this, since it’s not commercial :D

Anyone else a complete mess while having to stay indoors? My sister is going through a beautiful journey of selfcare and selfdiscovery and then I'm in the next room underneath my table going through depression 🙃

27. 3. 2020 - Has life been serving too much depresso to anyone else? I've done literally nothing since my last post but today I've been summoned from the dead to do an assignment that's due by midnight. I've never before even handed something in the day off (always a few days in advance) let alone less than an hour before the 'homework vault' closes :( But it's still on time so I should be happy about that!

Sorry all of my photos are so low quality lately, as I usually get things done later into the evening when the lighting sucks. To be fair my blog is literally named my mediocre studyblr, so this is what you signed up for :D

17. 3. 2020 - 1/30 days of productivity

So I'm doing slightly better and trying to motivate myself to make the best of this uni close down.

Since I had hit a wall in my studying even before all this covid-19 mess happened and now I can't go to the library for a pick me up/change of space, I was procrastinating this whole time.

Not sure if this can apply to anyone else but for me the most daunting thing is getting started with a task, and the easiest to put off. So today a bit the pill and started a lot of things, as in this anxious headspace I'm more likely to do tasks that are already started and just need to get finished.

I'm hesitant to share my personal 'tips' here, since at least seeing my classmates and the tips going around this community, I feel I'm maybe an odd person so my tips wouldn't be helpful to others. Let me know if you are interested in me sharing what I'm trying to get slowly more productive over the next month, what worked, what didn't - that kind of thing :)

And remember that every bit of progress adds up, you deserve breaks and snacks and if you get too into your own head and need a distraction, my Reading Homer's Odyssey professor reccomends Boccaccio's Decameron :D

12. 3. 2020 Sorry for not posting...

...my life was kind of a mess to begin with and then schools in my country (among other institutions) got closed down as a preventive measure against the coronavirus. At first I thought: oh, no problem, we'll just get materials and presentations from our professors and we'll do it at home at our own pace. No stress, wash my hands and not leave the house if I don't have to. And then most of my professors got the idea that we would have lectures and tests via the internet, which is my ultimate nightmare, and my parents and classmates started panicking about the current events.

And so then there's my already anxious prone to panick attacks ass in the middle of it like: 'great, I live in hell now.'

I'll be sure to come back at you with some motivational positive energy as soon as I have any 😅

27. 2. 2020 Visited the school library for the first time this semester

We interrupt this successful start to the spring semester for nearly a week of completely unnecessary panic and depression 😐 But I think it's better now and I'm slowly getting back on track 🙂 And to be fair not that much has happened in school, it's only been the first week.

18. 2. 2020 - my 2nd semester starts :)

I know I haven't posted in more than two weeks. I ended up spending my semester break meeting friends, so I didn't do much I could post. But now I'm back in university and getting off to a pretty good start. How are you guys doing? ♡

30. 1. 2020 My first finals are over!

Today was my last exam in this semester and it went waaaaay better than I could have dreamed of. I feel really proud of myself on this day, so I'm just having a quiet afternoon to myself reading Robert Louis Stevenson's The Suicide Club.

I know some places people have to annotate books for school but we don't really teach literature like that here in the Czech Republic. It's just something I'd started doing for fun, because I really enjoy it. Some books just fill me with many thoughts :D

Now I will have two weeks off before the spring semester starts :) I'll see what I get up to and if I'll have something to post for you ♡

27. 1. 2020: I have no photo from my study, so have an unoriginal meme :D Yeah, today wasn't too fun for me. Because the finals I have left are both oral exams, I'm mostly just talking to myself out loud in my room these days and I probably won't post untill all my finals are done on Thursday. I'm so tired and done with everything :') but I'm motivated to push through and be satisfied with the lowest grade if it means going home for a little break ♡ Best of luck to anyone else studying for exams!

23. 1. 2020 What I've been up to :)

I haven't posted in a while, but I passed another final, went to Ikea and finished another essay. Right now I have just two finals left and their both oral - from English and literature. Today I prepared my English presentation! The topic I chose is Creative and cultural industries: What is the value of culture and does it contribute to the economy? :)

20. 1. 2020 Another final

Today I had my exam for Literary life at medieval universities. I think it went pretty well, the way the questions were formulated was very comparable to history tests I took in highschool. I'll keep you updated :)

18. 1. 2019 Still deep in finals :D

I haven't posted in a few days, because I'm so all over the place at the moment. But for the most part I'm studying for my final in medieval universities that's on Monday :) Wish me luck ♡

15. 1. 2020 Started an essay that's due next week :)

I have another this upcoming Monday and figured four days is enough time to study for it, so instead of doing that I started writing an essay. It's due next weekend, but I want to submit it early, because I need next week to prepare for my last finals.

So far my first finals season is going really smoothly, since I was able to leave a lot of time between all my exams :D I will definitely keep doing it like this if I can. I find it's better for me to have my stress evenly distributed over time, rather than having it all at once♡

Unrelated to anything: Overrated by Three Days Grace is the ultimate gen z/millenial anthem and I dream it would one day be recognized as such.

14|1|20 finally stopped procrastinating :')

So after my finals on Friday I decided to take a day of, because I was so tired from studying, and then that break turned into procrastination. But I'm back to my senses now :D and I finished lecture notes for a course about medieval universities and literature that I didn't get to during the semester. I also took a test on my computer at home for one of my courses :).

I got final test results on those two Friday exams and I passed both of them! And I somehow got an A on the one I was dreading the most!

I'm so happy about it♡ Although I don't care about grades this year, since I will be going somewhere else next school year, it still feels damn nice to do well :D I suppose I might be an overachiever sometimes.
