Been trying to teach myself how to do lithography using polyester plates. It’s been an adventure because my only experience with other kinds of lithography has been from watching other people do it. I went so far as to get an old laser printer for making plates. However, I finally printed what I would consider to be a successful print, so I’m pretty chuffed. That is, until I realized that I had made the plate the wrong way around. Oh well. It’s all an education.

Original (which broke when I pulled it out of the mold), mold, and a painted prototype. I’m going to make blanks of these available for purchase if anyone is interested in them.

Demo piece in clay for my 3d students. It’s going to be turned into a real work. I’m thinking I’ll make a mold of it and cast multiples.
