Instead of standing by the snuffed-out fire, he’d moved forward. But that made him the only thing standing between a Faellyn petrified by fear and a ravenous shadow-hound. He scoffed, softly, at the situation they were in. “That has to be one of our worst.”

This is a snippet from my WIP (still very work in progress/workshopping), called Realms of Loss, which I've been working on for a while now. This was the last thing I worked on recently solely because of the fact I was scared to work on The Last Wrath or Tales of Wilted Flowers while traveling/unfocused lmao.

Archyvel wasn't trying to convince her - he was trying to convince himself. "I will not be afraid." Nesryn tilted her head, eyes softening. "But you are."

Here's my version of your incorrect quote!

(This gives me strong Rylisan & Caladin banter vibes, because Rylisan Fenrith is such an awkward, uptight, and serious guy who had difficulty grasping human sense of humor, especially at the beginning of the series, and Caladin not only used to take nearly nothing seriously when they first met but he adored making Rylisan nearly lose his mind at him. This quote is legit something he could actually say, I'm not even joking LMAO)

Rylisan: Caladin, you shouldn't call for help unless you genuinely need it. I'm happy to answer questions, as long as they are relevant to what we're doing.

Caladin: Alight, Sir. Oh! I have another question, now - what is a pie, in mathematics?

Rylisan: Uh-

Caladin: Like, this sheet asks you to give your answer in terms of a pie, and I have no clue what that is…

Rylisan: Not "a pie," Caladin. Pi. It's a constant. We've been over this...

Caladin: How many kinds of Pi are there?

Rylisan: What?

Caladin: My mum makes the best Pi. She does a great apple Pi, chicken Pi, shepherd's Pi… (sigh) God. I miss her. I miss her Pi…

From my WIP Realms of Loss - (I refuse to give context to this quote LMAO, figure it out!)

Person A - ... And that's how I almost burned down the entire castle when I was 12 after my attempt at the kitchen rafters to sneak a plate of cupcakes nearly toppled three torches onto the oak floors!

Person B - (blinks, silent, reconsidering his entire list of life choices up to this point) ...

Person A - Aw, c'mon, how come that doesn't make you smile even a little?

Person B - (drags hands over face with a groan) The only thing I got from this two-hour-long conversation is that you're a feral maniac with no regard for safety.

(there's an awkward silence and the conversation shifts to other matters. After a while, Person B hums, curiosity winning over, before genuinely asking, slightly confused.)

Person A - ...

Person B - ...

Person B - Though there's the one thing I would like to know ... what are cupcakes?

Person A - How do you not...? Oh you're going to love this concept.

What if I made a Writeblr tag game where we turn lines of dialogue from our own stories into an incorrect quote for the next person to insert their characters into. Is that anything
