Make 'em Swoon
make 'em swoon
eyes meeting from across the room
reaching out, grabbing their hand
a subtle wink
licking their lips
a hug that gets deeper
"hi" *raspy voice*
falling asleep on each other
coming back for another kiss
pressing their foreheads together
smile that makes their eyes soften
brushing away their hair
putting their hand on the other's neck
holding them close by their hips
pulling them on their lap
smirking in a way that suggests more
drawing with their fingertips on their skin
hugging them from behind
a kiss pressed to the neck
lips brushing against their ear
whispering to them like they're alone in the world

WIP Intro - Realms of Loss

Tag - # wip realms of loss

Status - Outlining, Work In Progress
Themes - war, revenge, loyalty, duty vs honor, the impact of cruelty, politics, lies, survival, betrayal, love and family, choosing one's destiny, fate vs will, prophecy, siblings, oppression, inequality and neglect, valor, forgotten histories, and sacrifice.
Synopsis -
A land forsaken by the gods, abandoned to a fate immersed in strife and forgotten magic, divided between warlords fighting for power and conquest in the remains of a ruthless and scarce world. Two kingdoms stained by the past of a bloody betrayal, trapped in an age-old feud, as chaos and war grow ever stronger outside their walls.
Life is perilous in this world, where only the strongest survive. Some are lucky enough to reside in the still-blessed inner cities of Sarythea, or Avillore, where the massive stone walls keep the encroaching darkness and war at bay, idyllic oasis in the midst of a wasteland. Most, however, are not so lucky. To those born in the ruthless and forgotten outer cities, life is a matter of who can strike first, and strike the fastest - hesitation means death.
When an ancient cursed prophecy and an army thought to have long since fallen tip the scales of this fragile stalemate, destruction seems imminent - if not inevitable - for this gods-forsaken realm.
Among many points of view, however, there might yet be a spark in the midst of this overwhelming night. A prince, born of the last blood of the gods. But with the fate of everything hanging in the balance and his life tied to a curse, will this spark be what brings back light, or the wildfire that'll bring the realms' final ruin? He will do anything to fight against his dark destiny, to bring back hope to his beloved late brother's kingdom in the midst of the growing chaos and encroaching enemies - if he can first survive those who want to see him murdered, or turned into a weapon. To do this, he'll need allies, and when the entire world is against you, beggars can't be choosers - a group of outlaws just might be his only chance.
This is the other WIP I'll be working on during the Winter Nano event!!!

What type of fungi best represents your oc?
Ooh this is a tough question! I never really thought about this, so I had to do some research, and I think I came up with a pretty cool answer.
This time, I'm going with a villain OC from one of my WIPs (Realms of Loss), her Lady General Yrsa, commander of the Last Army.
After some research, I decided that the fungi that best represents her is the mushroom Deadly Webcap (Cortinarius Rubellus), a fungi that - despite its unremarkable apperance - is highly poisonous, containing a mycotoxin that leads to kidney failure and potential death.
I think this fits Yrsa's character in that book perfectly. She is a very tough woman, having mastered the art of being unseen by the world - so much her army and her own existence were vastly considered by the populace as mere myth - while being capable of incredible destruction in the continent she is in, influencing the royal clans to her favor. Hence my choice of a common-looking mushroom that happens to be highly poisonous!
I hope this is a good answer (:
OC vs A Cockroach
Oh! Now THIS is fun! Thank you for the tag, @mysticstarlightduck!

For this one, I'll be using characters from Woes and Whimsy. Since it's still relatively small, I'll just use every named character (minus the big bad).
Percival Elpida, the Swordless Swordsman - 10/10 He can sense the roach's movement from a mile away and crush it before it can even get close to him. It's just that he doesn't really care. He has a revenge plot that he needs to finish.
Agori - 10???/10 The kid would just. Befriend it. No problem. It wouldn't even take that long before they start having tea parties together. Go to the park. Ride the swings. Go on the merry go round. All until the cockroach suddenly dies, where he would hold a funeral by himself.
Fysi Agapaei Se - 4/10 She's a friend of nature, but still, that doesn't make it easier for her to deal with the cockroach. She'll try to politely ask it to leave her alone, but since it's an insect, she'll probably end up accidentally waterboarding it.
Fanos Agapaei Se - 9/10 On the other hand, he wouldn't really mind. He'll just pick it up with his bare hands and set the dude free.
Nothrotita III - 3/10 BURN IT, BURN IT AWAY. OH GOD. OH GOD OH FUCK OH SHIT OH FUCK
Orgi II - 5/10 Burns it immediately. If it even dares to touch his skin he will spend the next 17 hours bathing it away.
Lagneia - 4/10 Similarly to Orgi, except she doesn't have fire magic, so she'll either waterboard it or spend at least 10 minutes trying to crush it with her flails.
Yeperifaneia - 11/10 Give him 2 seconds. It's like the cockroach never existed.

OC vs. Cockroach
Tagged by @mysticstarlightduck here! I had to do this one right away because it was too funny to imagine and I need a break from writing…

For the Tomb of Light cast:
Hettie: 9/10 Hettie loves bugs and little crawly creatures (snails are her fave thing ever). She has seen a lot of roaches in her life and while she doesn’t mind them, she recognizes they are pests. Lavender is a natural insect repellent and she would have plenty of that on hand to harmlessly deter them from coming back.
Oliver: 0/10 Hates nature, hates bugs. He has spent the majority of his life indoors and doesn’t like things that live outside. Including people. He would see the roach and scream for dear life until it was removed from sight.
Adrin: 10/10 He spent his childhood outdoors being bitten and swarmed by everything nearby. He thought it was hilarious to sneak roaches and spiders into his house to scare his mother. He would help Oliver out, mostly to shut him up, but also because he doesn’t mind touching them.
Mara: ??? She knows a good source of protein when she sees one.
