It's a quiet evening at the AVALANCHE hideout, the group gathered in the dimly lit bar, their weary bodies finally finding some respite after a grueling day of battles and reconnaissance.
You sits off to the side, nursing a drink and observing your companions with a pensive gaze.
Suddenly, Aerith appears at your side, a knowing smile playing on her lips.
"Can I join you?" she asks, her voice soft and melodic.
You nods, gesturing to the empty seat beside you.
"Of course," you replies, your own expression tinged with a hint of curiosity.
As Aerith settles in, her eyes drift across the room, landing on the solitary figure of Cloud Strife, who stands apart from the others, his gaze fixed on the far wall.
"Have you noticed how Cloud looks at you?" Aerith asks, her tone conspiratorial.
You blinks, your brow furrowing in confusion.
"What do you mean?" You asks, following Aerith's gaze to the blond-haired SOLDIER.
Aerith chuckles softly, her eyes sparkling with a knowing gleam.
"Oh, my dear," she murmurs, "you really haven't seen the way his eyes soften whenever he looks at you, have you?"
You feels a sudden flutter in your chest, your heart rate quickening as you processes Aerith's words.
"I... I don't know what you're talking about," you stammers, the gaze darting back to Cloud's distant form.
Aerith reaches out, giving your hand a gentle squeeze.
"Trust me, he cares for you more than he lets on," she says, her voice laced with a hint of wistfulness.
"He may act cold and distant with the rest of us, but with you, he's different. More open, more... attentive."
Your eyes widen, your mind racing as you recalls the subtle shifts in Cloud's demeanor whenever you two interacted.
The way his shoulders would relax, the faint trace of a smile tugging at the corners of his lips - you'd always chalked it up to your imagination, never daring to believe that the stoic SOLDIER could harbor such tender feelings.
"I... I had no idea," you murmurs, your voice barely above a whisper.
Aerith nods, her expression softening.
"He's a complex man, our Cloud," she says, her gaze drifting back to the blond-haired warrior.
"But I think, deep down, he's searching for a connection, a sense of belonging that he's been denied for so long."
Your heart swells with a mixture of emotions - a flicker of hope, a touch of trepidation, and a deep, overwhelming desire to reach out and bridge the chasm that seems to separate Cloud from the rest of the world.
As if sensing your gaze, Cloud's eyes suddenly meet yours, and you’re struck by the raw vulnerability you sees there, a fleeting glimpse of the man beneath the stoic facade.
In that moment, you knows - there is something between you two, a bond that transcends the boundaries of your group, a connection that both terrifies and enthralls you.
You feel a sudden warmth rise to your cheeks as Aerith's words sink in. Cloud, the stoic and aloof SOLDIER, harboring tender feelings for you? It’s almost too much to fathom.
Instinctively, your gaze drift back to Cloud, and your breath get caught in your throat as your eyes meet across the dimly lit bar.
There, in the depths of his piercing blue irises, you glimpse a vulnerability you had never seen before - a raw, almost desperate longing that send a shiver down your spine.
Flustered, you quickly avert your eyes, turning her attention back to Aerith.
"I-I don't know what you're talking about," you stammers, your voice betraying your uncertainty.
"Cloud is just... Cloud. He's always been distant, even with me."
Aerith look at you with a knowing smile, her eyes sparkling with a hint of mischief.
"Oh, y/n," she say, her voice soft and soothing.
"You may think you know Cloud, but I've seen the way he looks at you. There's a softness in his gaze, a warmth that he reserves only for you."
You shake your head, your brow furrowed in a mix of disbelief and frustration.
"No, you must be mistaken," you insist, your fingers drumming nervously against the worn wooden table.
"Cloud is... well, he's Cloud. He's not the type to harbor any kind of... feelings."
Aerith chuckle, her hand giving yours another gentle squeeze.
"Believe me, I know what I'm talking about," she say, her expression growing more serious .
"Cloud may seem like an impenetrable fortress, but even the strongest walls can crumble in the face of true connection."
You feel a flutter of hope and trepidation in your chest, your gaze once again draw to Cloud's distant form.
Could it be true? Could the man you had come to admire and respect, the one who had always seemed so untouchable, truly harbor such tender feelings for you ?
The thought both thrill and terrifie you, and you find yourself at a loss for words, your mind racing with a whirlwind of emotions she had never before experienced.

Traveling Witch (Adrien Tepes x witch!reader) part 2

Rated: Mature
Warnings: language, description of the dead, just that, typical things that happen in the show basically.
Part 1
“It’s not safe out there.” He said as he got up from his seat. “I’m guessing where you’re from there’s no night creatures there.” He lead you back to the front of the castle and towards a body of a monster on a stake. He pulled it out of the ground and threw it a foot in front of your feet. You took a step back “what the fuck is that?!?!” You gasped and covered your nose and mouth as the stench of the body came rushing at you.
You gagged as you turned your whole body away, “a warning next time! You practically attacked me with this things smell!” You held back the bile of vomit that was trying to come out. You had a pretty strong sense of smell. This things decaying body was doing a number on your poor nose. Adrian chuckled quietly as he came up to you “my apologies,” he gestured to the body, “this is a ghoul. One of many night creatures that my father has unleashed here.” He turned his eyes up at you. You looked over your shoulders still covering half of your face as you looked at it and then to him. “Yea no we don’t have those in my time..thank god.” You gagged as you smelled it again and moved towards the castle.
“Can we please go inside? Any more of that smell and I’m going to throw up whatever I ate and I’m gonna beat you for it.” You pointed your finger at him and walked inside. You could hear him behind you as you walked back to kitchen and sat at the table.
“These things only come out at night right?” You eyed him as he walked towards the counter that was in front of you and nodded.
“Then I should be fine as long as I don’t stay out too long.” You said. He held your eye contact for a moment and then looked towards the counter. He hummed as if to confirm what you said was true. Adrian wanted to say no but he also didn’t want your present here in his estate. It’s cruel on his part but he didn’t want another mistake to happen. This way he isn’t taking another human life, indirectly, but still no blood on his hands. He also was a little afraid of you. He never had someone yell at him and cursed at him all on the same breath as you did. You were scary.
“I suppose you are right. If you leave right now and leave to your timeline before the sunsets you should be fine.” He reached into the cabinets above and prepared some tea.
“Ha, knew it. Over here trying to make me scared when I could just go by my logic.” You poked your head as you smiled and mouth ‘big brain’ to his back. You got up with a big huff and threw your bag over yourself.
“Well, it was nice seeing you Adrian. Kind of. I mean we got off on the wrong foot, more you than me. But it was nice finally meeting you and seeing you and all.” You scanned his body as he was still turned away from you. “Real nice,” you sweetly said on a soft huff. “Maybe if you’re still alive or live long enough to reach my year you’ll come and visit me in (country).” You said as you walked towards the door.
“Hmm” was all Adrian said as he kept his back to you as he walked around making his tea. Your smile dropped and you frowned at him as you pumped your fist at him.
“Asshole” you mumbled as you exit the room.
—
The forest was pretty thick and dark as you made your way deeper into it. The only light you had was the one being emitted from your hand as you has a small ball of flame was in it.
“It’s so dark and creepy” you whispered to yourself. It was quiet in the forest. The birds that were singing once at the start of the forest have stopped as you kept going into the dark. The quiet scared you a bit but you didn’t want to turn back now and give the pleasure of that MAN knowing that he was right. Besides you could take on one of those things Adrian had thrown at your feet. Didn’t look that bad. It was ugly and big and scary looking but you could take it on…no problem…nope…………………….you really wish you were home now.
The further you went into the forest the more unsettled you felt. It didn’t feel safe and it most certainly wasn’t a good idea for you to continue. Yea you’re gonna turn back around and hang around the outside of the castle. Adrian probably has to go places and when he’s gonna you can go back in and find a spot he doesn’t go in. Yea that’s a good plan, brilliant y/n you so smart.
*snap*
“Aha, yea I’m gonna ignore that and just continue.”
*growl*
“….that was just my stomach. Yup, nothing else.” You picked up speed. You weren’t scared. Nah, there wasn’t anything to be scared of. Nothing! Sure there was something, like three something’s, but you can handle it. Piece of cake. You’d totally handle your shit right now but like you’re tired and definitely didn’t want-
You tripped over a tree root and fell to the ground. Cursing yourself for being in your mind instead of what was going on. Now here you are on your hands and knees. Praying to whoever that if you turned there wouldn’t be three big ugly ghouls lookin at you. You counted to three in your head and turned to sit on your butt.
“Fuck my life” there stood the big three ugly ghouls. You gagged as you smelled the stench radiating off of them. You wanted to put your hand up to your face so bad but you know if you move they will too.
“I told you it wasn’t safe for you” came Adrian’s voice. It echoed in the dark and the ghouls looked around for the source.
“Yea, well, it’s not like I went looking for it. YOU could have told me that they live in here!” You corrected him. Adrian didn’t answer you. In an instant the three ghouls that stood in front of you were taken out with the sword that Adrian had. Quick and simple. Once they were dead he appeared from the dark where they stood. He looked at you from his stance and held out his hand. You pouted up at him but took his hand.
“Thanks…” you dusted yourself off and turned back in the direction of the castle.
“I thought you were going to go find your rocks” Adrian said. You could hear a hint of amusement in his voice but you ignored it.
—
“You are more then welcome to stay here and go back out there to look for your rocks-”
“Trovants”
“Right….”
You sat at the kitchen table once again as you stared out the window. You were upset, more or less a little embarrassed since you had Adrian come and rescue you after telling him you could handle it all on your own especially since you were able to put him down but here you are…in the castle…again…. at his table. Talk about looking like an ass, huh?
“Well thanks for letting me stay here. I swear I’ll leave as soon as I can and we can be free of each other.” You turned to look up at him as he held a plate of food to you. It wasn’t much, just some bread, meats, and cheese. You couldn’t really eat much anyways so this was enough for you.
“Thank you” you placed the plate on the table and started to eat.
“Mm” he said as he sat down at the table and watched you. You made eye contact with him and then looked away. He still watched you. It made you uneasy and you finally looked at him.
“It’s rude to stare, you know?”
Adrian blinked once, “…did you draw on yourself?” He asked as he looked at the arm that was close to him. Your sleeve was rolled up to your elbow and he could see the tattoo you had. Curved lines and dots were scattered around your forearm. You looked at your arm, “this is a tattoo” you said as you swallowed the food in your mouth.
“It’s abstract design. It’s pretty right?” You moved your arm over to him as you reached for the cup of water. He traced the lines on yours.
“This is common in your time?”
“Mhm”
“It’s pretty”
“Thanks had a friend do it for me. Didn’t have to pay much for it. I have others but you’d have to take me out for dinner first” you winked at him as you rolled your sleeve down. Adrian scoffed as he got up from the table and took your plate.
You laughed as you got up and took your bag with you.
“So my room is where?”
—
You came out of the bathroom that was attached to your room. Drying your hair you sat down on your bed and looked around the room. It was nice and clean, there were huge windows that looked over the land that the castle stood on. The moon shone bright and clear. The room was bathed in a dim warm light from the candles that sat beside the bed. Everything just screamed old age and you loved it. You were more amazed the castle had indoor plumbing.
You weren’t even here for a full day but you were bone tired. You threw the towel you used for your hair to a chair that was a couple feet away and pulled on a nightgown you had pulled from one of the closets.
“Oh I hope the bed is as comfortable as it looks” you whined as you pulled the covers back. Climbing in you felt the plush of the mattress as you laid right in the middle of the bed. You brought one of the three pillows to lay in your arms as you laid your head on the other and snuggled it.
“This is good….so good…”you sleepily said and closed your eyes. Sighing one last time you started to fell sleep take over. Slowly you felt your body start to relax. Until the creak of the floorboard woke you and you snapped your eyes open. You held your hand out in front of you and a ball of fire ready. There stood Adrian a bit startled as he looked at your hand and then your eyes.
“Are you really starting this again??”
“No! I wanted- I had thought-”
“Do you ever get tired of like assuming? Like imagine what you’re gonna look like. You gonna have wrinkles and like bad skin. Gross”
“I doubt I can have wrinkles”
“You don’t know. You might be the first half vampire that gets wrinkles cause he can’t fucking relax for like a minute. Imagine wrinkles” you shivered as you thought about it. “You wouldn’t look as pretty as you do now. Actually doesn’t your dad have wrinkles? Like on his forehead from frowning. Yea he does! You want to look like him?!? Everyone is gonna think you’re just like him! You want that?”
“…..”
“I’ll take that as no you don’t. So calm down and for the last time. IM NOT GOING TO ATTACK YOU! Now get out of my room and let me sleep. Some of us need it cause we weren’t blessed by the gods with your looks” you nodded and threw yourself down on the pillows and got comfortable.
“Goodnight Adrian. I know you’re still there.” You said with your eyes closed from under the covers. Adrian huffed and placed the article of clothing on the edge of the bed.
“Goodnight y/n” he said as he closed the door behind him and went to his room.
Asmo: okay so, mommy issues or daddy issues?

“Overheard.”

— in which you practice your confession to him, and he hears.

“Satoru... I like you.”
Falling in love is hard.
You throw your head back in exasperation, a sigh pushing past your lips and into the emptiness of your room.
“Satoru,” You begin again, glaring at your reflection, “I think if the Earth exploded tommorow I would- No that’s pathetic!”
But falling in love with an enigma such as Satoru Gojo is harder.
Especially when he was your Co-Worker and friend, and not one for blind vulnerability in any capacity.
Something you were devastated by perfectly ok with!
You place your thumb in your mouth and chew on the nail, frustrated at your lack of articulation.
Your lingering stares, and pathetic attempts to subtly flirt with him, appeared to backfire in a mirage of deflection from the sorcerer.
Leading you to the bitter conclusion that your feelings were entirely unrequited.
And that’s fine.
Everything is fine.
You would be fine.
…
You turn back to the mirror, lifting your head up and throwing on a smile.
“Gojo- No- Satoru, me and you? What about it? You in?”
God. You sound insane.
Even worse you sound desperate.
You thought your feelings for Gojo would dissipate with time, that you would realise that they stemmed purely from admiration and would vanish as fast as they first appeared.
But as you grew closer to Gojo, your feelings grew too.
Culminating into him, holding your hand to reassure you after a mission went askew.
Holding it.
With no barriers. No infinity.
His hand was warm, the palm soft with years of fighting without touch.
“Don’t worry ‘bout it ‘kay?” He had said, cooing at you as you furiously wiped frustrated tears from your eyes.
“Just focus on getting stronger, yea? You’ll be fine.”
And now you were fantasising your confession to the man, like you were 16 years old again, pouting about an unreturned crush.
One touch and you’re helpless to your own feelings, your own heart.
How childish…
You shake your head.
What did it matter anyway? You were never going to say it to him, you can let yourself have your own, embarrassing fun.
You grin, and resume your position before the mirror.
“Satoru, I really, really like you.”
You tilt your head.
“No that sounds wrong..uh…Gojo I like you..like a lot- But you don’t need to say anything I just wanted you to know.”
Placing your hands on your hips, you assess out loud; “I wonder which one would sound better..”
“I liked the first one best.”
You nod, lost in thought, “Me too, sounds more person-”
.
.
.
Oh God.
Oh please God no.
Slowly, you move your eyes from your face in the reflection to the door, where Gojo stands, leaning against the frame, a smug look on his face.
Your face flushes and you almost trip over your heel as you spin to face him, eyes wide and mouth parted.
“G-Gojo!” You force out, your heart racing in your chest, your hands trembling against your sides.
He gestures, his sunglasses sliding down his nose ever so slightly with his movements.
“You not gonna continue?” He asks, like he didn’t almost just cause you heart palpitations, like it’s the simplest thing in the world.
Your words fail you, and you’re left gaping at him, wishing the building would collapse and crush you beneath it, away from his stupidly pretty eyes.
He laughs, his face lighting up as he watches you flounder for a response, a reason, anything to justify your absurdism.
When you resort to turning back around, unable to face him, hoping he would just vanish from the room, he shakes his head and walks towards you.
“Hey.” Gojo says gently, pinching the skin of your shoulder lightly, trying to coax you into turning around.
“Y/N c’mon, Iook at me.”
You want to die.
You actually think you might just drop dead.
This was never the plan- You were never supposed to-
Gojo isn’t patient.
You remember this when you’re spun around to face him, nearly jumping at how close he is to you.
You find your voice amongst your apologies, and they fall out of you like water collecting rain.
“I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to say any of that, I was being stupid- Oh my God I’m so sorry.”
You hang your head in childish shame, refusing to meet his eyes.
Gojo finds himself frowning.
And your chin is raised back to his gaze by his fingers, an usually serious look in his eyes as he observes you.
“What are you apologising for hm?” He sticks out his tongue, “For falling for me?”
You push his chest, your face burning.
“Don’t say it like that.”
“What? It’s not true?”
“It’s not.”
Gojo blinks at you from over the top of his sunglasses, before taking his hand and patting your head.
“So if I ask you to join me for lunch…You’d say no?”
“What? No of course not!”
Your response is too fast, too desperate, and you freeze as he laughs, humiliated.
“I thought as much.” Gojo replies, leaning down to look you in your eyes.
And he’s so pretty up close, so earnestly perfect that you can barely stand it.
“Say it again yea?” He all but whispers, his voice devoid of cockiness, you’re almost certain he sounds as desperate as you.
You refuse to think too much.
“What?” You reply, dumbly.
“Your practice, I want to hear it again.”
“Gojo I-”
“Satoru.” He corrects, his eyes crinkling with his grin, you can feel his breath on your face and you hold yourself back from leaning towards him.
You’re silent for a moment, before he tilts his head, nodding at you to continue.
It’s ok.
“Satoru,” You start, breaking eye contact with him as you look down at your fidgeting hands, “I like you.”
And you feel so unbelievably childish, at your nerves.
You feel weak to his never failing gaze.
Until he pokes your nose softly with his finger, and leans down to reply, too close, he’s far too close.
“Yea?” He echoes, “You like me?”
You nod, helpless, “So much Satoru.”
And then you feel it.
His lips on yours.
Oh.
And it’s wonderful, it’s all consuming and it’s him.
And you kiss back, feeling his hands on your face, and encasing you, holding you.
Gojo tilts your head up, and you can’t help but gasp, letting him devour you.
He tastes of cherries and sugar, his mouth as warm as his grasp, as he brings you closer.
“God baby.” He mumbles into your mouth, “You have no idea.”
He sounds frantic you think.
You pull away to look at him, and giggle when he follows you, trying to recapture your lips with his, pouting, tracing the sides of your temples with a finger.
You’re both breathless.
And you take the opportunity to be bold.
You press a kiss to his jaw, ignoring the racing of your poor heart.
Gojo smirks, a dumb elated expression on his face as he pulls you into his chest, resting his chin on the top of yours. Blocking your view of his face as he whispers.
“Think it goes without saying.” You hear him say, slowly, “But I like you too Y/N.” He mocks, his voice soft.
And you cling to his shirt, and press your fingers into his back as a response, trying to mark him as yours instantaneously.
He laughs again, before pulling away to hold you at an arms length, looking down at you, his face beautiful, and yours.
“Lunch then? So we can talk about this properly?”
“I’d like that.” You say, your eyes in hearts.
He winks at you, and pulls you to walk with him, leading you out of the room.
You lean against him allowing yourself a moment of vindicated clarity.
He’s warm.
So, so warm.
