think of flirty alhaitham and how it could work with his personality
The thing about alhaitham is that he knows what he wants. It isn't to say that he flirts with anyone, only with people he genuinely likes and could be in a relationship with. So if he ever finds out that he has feelings for you, he won't hesitate to test if he can develop something between you two.
It starts off casually. If you were just strangers/acquaintances, he'd start to pay more attention to you. Don't be surprised if he suddenly helps you carry a stack of books in the library, or sits on your table when there are other nearby tables available.
He introduces himself,
"Alhaitham. I don't believe we've officially met before, but I've seen you around."
He knows how to make small talk– a language scholar like him is all too familiar with conversation cues and how to use them to his favor. It helps that he has a basic idea of you; maybe your latest thesis, or what he heard you do for work, or the places you frequent.
In my opinion, Alhaitham is straightforward.
"Would you like to go to Puspa Café after this? I'd like to continue the conversation. Consider it my treat."
"What, like as a date?" You joke. After all, how could the stoic scribe suddenly ask you out? He probably found your thesis interesting, or he wanted to be well-acquainted for networking.
"If you don't mind." He says and your mouth falls open, momentarily stunned.
"M-me?" You stutter.
"Yes."
"You're asking me out on a. . . date date?" You emphasize twice, trying to make sure he doesn't mean a study date or a business meeting.
"Is it so surprising that I'm hitting on you? I wouldn't have sat on your table or start a conversation if I didn't like you."
"Ah." You say, speechless.
"So. . . Puspa Café? Or would you rather we set a time for tomorrow, somewhere nicer."
~
Alternatively, think of an early, casual confession. The kind where you're both just hanging around and he suddenly goes;
"You do know I like you, right? More than just a friend."
And he's not waiting for you to respond or anything, he just wants to get it off his chest because he's not the type to hesitate on his feelings. You don't have to outright reject him or confess your own feelings, he just continues doing whatever.
how genshin men react when you fall asleep in lecture
childe will definitely laugh, and then freeze because it came out a little too loudly. you’re still fast asleep though, so he snaps a picture and lets you doze off as the teacher rambles. he thinks you’re cute like this, even if your face is slightly smushed into your notebook—and is that a hint of drool coming out of your mouth? definitely fuel for more teasing later. he will also make a couple jokes when you come to, and should you use his phone in the coming days, you’ll see he changed his background to your sleeping face (did he have to use the picture with drool though?)
zhongli will wake you up. he’s very gentle about it. will coo awake under his breath so the teacher doesn’t hear it, and should you whine that you’re so very tired, he’ll bribe you with promises there’s only thirty minutes left, you can both get food after this, or take a nap together. unfortunately for you, he’s persistent and won’t give up—and he doesn’t feel any shame either, that small smile of his not leaving his face, not even with you give him a pout. oh well. better luck next time.
alhaitham won’t notice that you’ve fallen asleep until at least ten minutes into your nap. he’s just so focused on whatever the lecturer is talking about that he doesn’t notice you’re sleeping form until you’ve slumped over onto his shoulder. he might shrug you off at first, but the effort is lacking and ultimately futile as you snuggle right back up next to him. he’ll let you stay, but just know he’s making a sacrifice, because there’s no way he’s gonna be able to pay attention to the rest of lecture when you’re looking so damn cute next him.
neuvillette won’t let you fall asleep. protest all you want, he’s not going to hear it. perceptive as he is, neuvillette will recognize the telltale signs of you about to fall asleep—the drooping eyelids, steadier breathing, head knocking forwards and back. he’ll nudge you when he feels you getting close to falling asleep, distract you with random questions about the lecture material or if he can borrow your pencils, stuff like that. sometimes it’s a surprise kiss on the cheek and then you’re wide awake. he’s a good-intentioned pain.
wriothesley props up a book in front of you and lets you sleep. you’re a good student, you’ve been working hard, you deserve this nap, even if it’s only five minutes into your hour long lecture. it’s sweet, he’s sweet, except that now he’s starting to feel sleepy. suddenly the teacher’s words are starting to fade into the background, he’s yawned several times in the past minute, and your so comfortable that he might just lean in…. you both wake up about an hour after the lecture with a “see me!” note from the teacher (totally worth it though).
wanderer flicks your forehead and tells you to stop sleeping, this is why you’re near failing the class. you stay awake mostly out of indignation after that one, but if you really can’t make it through lecture without a “quick” power nap, he’ll roll his eyes and fork over his sweatshirt as a pillow. he’ll take good notes for you while you’re in the realm of unconsciousness and wake you a couple minutes before class ends. his face is almost wide with admiration until he turns into a smirk, before he inquires how was your nap and if he should call you sleeping beauty.
I HATE the new Spotify update so much 😭😭😭. Having songs represented by a green tick is the worst thing they could have done. Okay well, it's not the worst thing.
The worst thing is that your liked songs are no longer represented by hearts. You can't even tell which songs you've liked in your playlist. And let me tell it's ACTUALLY THE WORST who approved of this? They need to change it back to the way it was before cuz it's just horrible and I hate the change.
Meeting the family
Damian Wayne x Male! Reader.
don't normally write romantically abt Damian cus He's 14 and Its weird but I owed this to anon. Just keep that in mind!
there's a small misgendering part but it's more of a "I wrongly assumed my brother was straight" way than transphobic.
“I believe Master Damian has something to say,” Alfred interrupted the conversation, after seeing the doubtful eyes of the young man. The entire table stopped and looked directly at Damian, who was trying to remain calm.
“Yes. Thank you, Alfred,” said the boy, his voice cracking slightly and hands shaking. He truly hated not being in control of his emotions and was thankful no one had teased him about his demeanor yet. If they did, he would have lied and pretended they were crazy for implying Someone Like Him could ever feel nervous at a gathering. “I would like to introduce you all to the person I’m involved with next week,” he confessed finally.
Everyone was too surprised to speak, and for a few seconds, Damian regretted even thinking about the possibility of his partner meeting his family.
The first one to react was Dick, who, with a smile and thumbs-up, agreed to be there and let Barbara know, too. In front of him, Cass shot him a warm smile, one they both knew was comfort. Tim kept eating his meal, surprise in his eyes, while Stephanie was giggling. Duke’s hand touched his shoulder in support for a second.
Jason exploded in laughs, “Little man got himself a girlfriend? I gotta see this.”
Damian wanted to correct his brother but words weren’t able to come out: there was one last person who needed to react to the petition and he was the one the boy was more nervous about.
Bruce Wayne, who sat at the head of the table, had said nothing since Alfred’s comment. His gaze was lost somewhere, deep in thought and frowning.
Sweating off a need for approval and with yet another crack of his voice, he spoke. “What do you think, father?”
After being spoken to by his youngest son, Bruce turned to him and grinned. “Of course, son. I would love to meet her.”
...
“So you didn’t tell him,” he said with a hint of a smile. He wasn’t angry. He knew how hard it was for Damian to do this, and how much he was worried about his family’s approval.
“I’m sorry, beloved. Words just wouldn’t come out..”
“I get it, corazón,” he reassured. “They’ll love you forever, you know that, yes?”
“My father is pretty strict,” Damian spoke, hands shaking and breath quickening.
“Well, if he accepted Timothy and Cassandra, why wouldn’t he accept you?”
“They’re not like me. I’m supposed to be-“
“Legacy, yes,” the boy interrupted his wrecking boyfriend. “You’re more than that, though. I believe they will be okay if you’re not everything they expect you to be.”
“What if they’re not? What if I’m not?”
“Then I’ll be here,” Y/N whispered before leaving a kiss on his boyfriend’s cheek and locking their hands together. “Let’s do this?”
Damian nodded and, without letting his partner’s hand go, he knocked on the door. Alfred opened immediately. Of course, he had seen them get there on the front camera. He had been waiting close to the door to get it once you two were ready. The butler greeted the guest with a smile that was reciprocated.
“It’s very nice to meet you, Mr. Pennyworth. Now I know who to thank for the best reheated meals I’ve ever stolen,” the boy spoke first, making the man laugh.
“My pleasure, Mr…,” he left room for the young man to answer.
“His name is Y/N,” Damian answered.
“Mr. Y/N, you may call me Alfred. You are part of the family now,” the man turned around and started walking, signaling the kids to follow him. “Come now, everyone is expecting you.”
Alfred pretended not to hear when Y/N whispered, “See? that wasn’t so bad.”
The dining room was as loud as ever, giggles coming from the younger side of the table while the older ones talked between them about unimportant stuff, all waiting for the youngest among them to show up. And just like last time, Alfred cleared his throat, making everyone look at him in silence. Right behind, following, they saw Damian Wayne and an unknown boy holding hands. The unfamiliar nervousness coming from the boy all of them had always known as the most confident was perplexing and, for some of them, even funny.
The new boy held up his free hand, waving. Dick quickly got up from his seat and walked to them, holding both boys in a firm embrace once close. With a big smile, he introduced himself and stole Damian’s boyfriend from his hands, holding him by the shoulders and leading him to the assigned seat between Dick and Barbara and in front of Damian.
Everyone introduced themselves politely, even Jason, who looked a bit confused and embarrassed. However, he was still a victim to the judgmental eyes of Cassandra Cain, who was trying to decipher the boy’s intentions. He knew this was going to happen, Damian had warned him. He shot her a smile.
Dinner was far from normal, Y/N quickly learned the family was too chaotic for its own good. Stephanie and Duke tried to start a food fight more than once, despite being shot a disapproving look from Bruce every time.. Dick and Barbara couldn’t stop talking about their new dog, Dick had taken out his wallet which had only two bills and several pictures of Hailey. He had placed them all on the table while Barbara told the boy what was happening when each of them was taken.
At some point in the night, Tim and Jason had started fighting and kicking each other under the table. Cassandra got up and walked to each of them to punch them in their arms, signaling to stop. The only silent people at the table were Alfred, Kate, Bruce, and Damian, who had taken his time to eat.
After desert and all the fighting, everyone moved to the living where some more serious talk took place. Everyone wanted to know more about Y/N, asking him about his family and relationship with Damian.
“Damian,” Bruce said softly, standing beside him in a corner of the room. He was looking at you from there, leaving you to meet the family on your own. “Can we talk in my office?”
The boy agreed, walking before his father to the room in question. Inside, he sat on the sofa in front of the desk while his father sat on the desk, looking down at him.
“Is everything alright, Father?”
“Why didn’t you tell me?” he asked.
“I’m sorry, father,” Damian whispered. “I just wanted to be sure you wouldn’t..”
Bruce quickly understood. “I’m not like that, Son. You know that.”
He nodded, avoiding his father’s eyes. Bruce stood up, his hand traveled to Damian’s shoulder. “I’m proud of you, whoever you want to be.”
The youngest Wayne’s eyes quickly got up from the floor to look at the oldest, a new shine on them. He stood up just like his father had done seconds ago and, with a hopeful tone, he asked, “So it is fine?” Bruce smiled for the first time in the night. “I trust your judgment, son. If this boy is who you want to be with, then yes, it is fine with me.”
Damian returned the smile. Surprising Bruce, he threw himself onto the man’s body, wrapping his arms around him tightly.

SUMMARY: You had two childhood friends; Kazuha and Tomo. Now, it's just you. CONTENT WARNINGS: Inazuma Archon quest spoilers, character death, grief. NOTES: Platonic, angst, childhood friends!Kazuha and Tomo, gn!reader, 1.5k words. A/N: This is one of the first things I've written and has been sitting completed in my drafts for SO LONG because I didn't like how it turned out, but I can't keep re-editing it. Enjoy!

It’s easy making friends when you’re a kid. Your parents are close to other parents, and you eventually get shoved towards their kids to give you something to do. For you, that came in the form of Kaedehara Kazuha.
He was a quiet child. The kind who would cry when flowers got trampled, or bugs skittered away from his hands. But he was an easy, comfortable presence, and one that found its place by your side.
It was inevitable that you made friends with Tomo after that, with him and Kazuha practically attached at the hip, and it didn’t take long for him to declare you both his best friends.
Whether it be playing adventures in the forest, hide-and-seek around Kazuha’s estate, or just wandering the city of Inazuma, the three of you were scarcely seen without one or both others by your sides.
And you couldn’t be happier.
“Kazu, come on!” You called out after the boy trailing behind.
“Just give me… a minute,” Kazuha murmured. He continued to crouch on the edge of the river, poking at the ground with a stick.
“Are you still frog-hunting?” Tomo asked with amusement in his voice. Kazuha shook his head.
“No, I found something better,” Kazuha suddenly dove forward, scooping something up in his hands. He looked up triumphantly, holding up the animal in his hands, a large purple beetle that wriggled and crawled over his palms.
“An onikabuto!”
“Let me see!” Tomo demanded, leaning over his shoulder. The creature turned around, settling neatly in Kazuha’s hands. “That’s so cool! I wonder if I can catch one too.”
“It is cool,” You admit. “But we should hurry. We don’t have many hours of daylight left.”
Tomo gasps, looking up at the sky. “You are absolutely right. Hurry up, Kazuha! Adventure awaits us!”
“Okay, okay.” Kazuha chuckled, before letting the little onikabuto go. You held your hand forward to help him up, and he grasped it gratefully.
“Onwards!” Tomo announced, marching ahead through to the forest. His voice grew quieter as he strode further through the trees, almost out of your sight.
“We’d better go on before he gets himself lost.” Kazuha said, brushing the dirt off his clothes.
You held out your hand, and Kazuha took it in his.
You were always told that friends don’t last forever, that these innocent childhood memories would make way for new ones. But the three of you didn’t grow apart; you grew together, like flowers that bloomed within the same patch of dirt. It was hard to imagine a life without them—the two constants in your life.
Tomo began to get bolder in his words. What started as child prone to disobedience quickly turned into a fiercely loyal man who was willing to die for his ideals. He spoke openly in criticism against whatever he found fault in (which just so happened to be the Shogunate), picking apart the frayed edges of their society until it was little more than lose thread in his hands.
But while Tomo grew louder, Kazuha grew quieter. He didn’t cry anymore; his emotions began to smooth themselves out into a perfect balance of calmness. He leaned into his love of poetry, and his already flowery vocabulary became nothing short of lyrical.
Things were changing. You didn’t mind though, because you knew that you would change together.
“Have you heard?” The whispers say. They seem to come from every direction, from the Shogun’s guards stationed around Inazuma, to the lips of shopkeepers hidden behind their hands. “They say he challenged the Shogun herself to a duel!”
“Can you imagine?” The whispers answer. Their voices grate on your ears and send shivers down your spine. Something was wrong, that much you knew for certain.
“It’s such a shame. He was such a lovely boy, too.”
You feel a spike of sympathy for whoever they were talking about. Everyone in Inazuma knew that the moment someone challenges the Shogun, their fate is already bound. It was no wonder they were speaking of him as though he was already gone.
“I feel bad for those friends of his. What will they do without him?”
Did he have friends he was close to, as well?
“Is that… them?”
Something was… most definitely wrong. As you walk across the street, you feel eyes piercing the back of your skull, like the entire city was looking at you. Your steps grow faster, trying to outrun the sounds of their voices. If only Tomo hadn’t left his house early this morning, then there would be no need to go searching for him.
“Do you see…”
“I wonder…”
“Has anyone told…”
“(Name)?” You look up at the sound of your name, to see the shopkeeper from Tsukumomono Groceries staring at you with unhidden shock. “What are you doing here? Aren’t you going to the Tenshukaku?”
“The Tenshukaku? Why?”
“Um… the duel?”
“Why would I want to watch that?” You say with disgust in your tone. “I don’t want to watch some random person’s execution.”
“I—I figured the circumstances were different.” She looked deeply uncomfortable, eyes darting between the crowds of people. “I mean… considering who it is.”
“Who it is? Do I know them?”
“You don’t know,” The shopkeeper reels back, like she had been slapped. Her nervous expression fell away to look horrified at the implication. “No one told you—you don’t know.”
Something was wrong.
A sick, twisted feeling appears in your stomach. “Who is it?”
“I—”
“Tell me!” Your voice cracks in the middle of your words, until there were tears pricking the corner of your eyes. You couldn’t imagine why; it wasn’t as if it’s—
“Tomo,” She whispers. “It’s Tomo.”
In one night, you lost both of the people you loved.
One was dead. The other vanished without a trace.
You tried to get on as normal—or as normal as you could—but everywhere was a reminder of what you had lost. The memories were scattered across Inazuma, waiting for the moment they slipped your mind to bring you reeling back into the past.
Autumn leaves fell, surrounding your head like a halo. A white cat lingered around the Tenshukaku, waiting for its owner. Signs were pinned on the noticeboards, conversations penned from hands that were unable to continue them.
There were so many relics of the past that you could almost pretend it wasn’t true; that if you waited in your old meeting spot, the two of them would appear and greet you with open arms.
You could imagine Tomo, with his wide grins and bold words, loudly explaining the true meaning of eternity while strangers gave him odd looks.
You could imagine Kazuha quietly beside you, shoulders barely touching, silence only broken by the occasional haiku he had composed in his mind.
You could imagine them both, walking in step with you as you did your daily errands, warding away the crushing loneliness that threatened to destroy you.
Everyone met you with pity, even those who would get annoyed with your antics as children. They offered nothing but condolences for Tomo, and well-wishes for Kazuha. Some offered an ear to listen to your troubles, but you politely decline.
(It wasn’t as if they would ever understand how it felt to lose two thirds of your life.)
The constant eyes were tiring, so the beach became your safe haven. It was free from people, aside from the occasional couple looking to sneak off, or soldier patrolling the perimeter.
Kazuha always loved this spot. It was, in his words, a paradise of solitude, where nature could sit down and breathe.
Tomo wasn’t too fond of it, complaining about the uneven rocks and sand getting all in his clothes. Still, he would linger there with you both, watching the sky until the sun slipped out of your vision.
When the moonlight hits the water, you can lean back with closed eyes and almost hear Kazuha musing various verses about the way the light reflects the sky, while Tomo chuckles beside you, and it almost feels like nothing changed.
That's the funny thing about loss; it isn't made up of absence. You can still feel their presence as lucidly as you used to, it has just shifted from something tangible into something limited in the confines of your mind, and the fleeting moments of joy before you realize they're not there.
And as long as the sound of their laughter still lingers in the back of your mind, maybe you can forget that they're gone.
