Thank you! It's such a small thing but the little highlight at the tip of their noses is actually one of my favorite details to draw ´v`

It doesn't do anything per se (besides making their snouts look a bit moist I guess) but it's usually the last thing I add when drawing their faces and it's such a satisfying final touch.

I drew a skink as a gift for my teacher who had a death in the family. She's really nice, and she has a pet skink (not this kind of skink though). I only used pens for this. No pencil for sketching or anything, i just started with a light blue pen and kept going from there.

THIS. We need more independent options too, like jungle gyms. Also in school we have units on sports like Basketball or football for example, and for me they're agonizing. Being forced to play football for an hour a day early in the morning is incredibly boring, but I can't zone out because if i do i will get hit in the face. Generally sports that involve shit flying at your face are incredibly nerve-wracking and I hate them. We need more actually fun sports without overly complex rules (i wouldn't mind a normal game of catch, but catch becomes way less fun once you add invisible lines and unclear, unnecessary rules and shit like that).

Honestly my favorite memories from gym were "reindeer games" from elementary school- aka basically just a fun obstacle course.

I agree with this but to play devil's advocate, it could also mean that clan life honors blind loyalty and will slander those who aren't blindly loyal as well as their family. They associate tigerkit with his traitor father in a bad way because of clan culture, and that negative association rubs off on tiger. So tiger is the way he is because his father left in a way, but really it is the fault of clan culture because in a different culture Pine leaving wouldn't have been such a big deal.

TigerClaw would not have "turned out fine" if PineStar didn't leave, not just because it implies that the mother has failed her child if she doesn't have her husband with her, but also implies that the problem isn't that Clan life honors blind loyalty and aggression under the facade that you are being loyal to your Clan and Starclan. ThistleClaw is a product of extreme Clan beliefs and TigerClaw is as well

Y'all, a repost is when you copy/download the work and create a new post using the work making it seem as if it's yours. A reblog is you using a site provided feature to share the creator's post directly from the creator so that it's still credited to them and they still get all of the traction/notes from the work.

Actually, in response to the #"I refuse to believe borzoi were bred for wolf hunts", Borzoi were actually not bred to hunt wolves solo. They more often hunted foxes, bunnies, and stuff like that. When they did hunt wolves, it was usually a special occasion (if i remember correctly, but i am fairly certain that wolf-hunts weren't as common as hunting for basically anything else). Borzoi were bred to chase down the wolves, but the finding of the wolves and driving them out of hiding was done by scenthounds (specifically foxhounds). Once the wolf was on the run, 2-3 borzoi would catch it. Then, the wolf would often be kept alive to train other younger dogs. If you're looking for dogs bred for hunting wolves alone, after doing some research, there are none. Not hunting dogs anyway.

The first dog that came to my mind was Irish wolfhound, which are much larger than the borzoi (they can get up to 7ft on their hind legs). However there isn't really any reliable sources on how/if they hunt alone other than the fact that they have amazing speed and endurance and take down large game like large deer, bears and of course wolves. This probably has to do with the fact that the breed almost went extinct after the last wolf was killed in Ireland, and the modern version has other breeds mixed in like deerhounds and great Danes. The modern version looks the part and can still hunt really well (though they're rarely used), but they're not quite the same breed as the dogs which exterminated wolves from Ireland.

There are dogs that can probably fight/kill wolves, those dogs being livestock guardian dogs like Anatolian shepherds for example. But even then, they don't usually work with only one dog (at least I don't think so), and the goal of Livestock guardian dogs is that the predators will generally steer clear due to the smell of a large dog, and the LGD will generally chase away predators rather than kill them.

So yea, i didn't mean for this post to be so long but the more ya know. Personally I find it kind of funny that a sighthound is the breed in this warrior cats clan AU because they are probably the number one WORST type of dog to have with cats. Being bred to chase and kill small fuzzy things, they're known for... Well... Chasing down and killing small fuzzy things. Like cats. Just out of instinct. If i had one, I would never trust it alone with my cats, and whenever I left it would 100% be crated/left in its own room or left with a dog sitter. So the fact that this hypothetical borzoi is thriving in a clan of cats and not randomly killing any of them because they triggered its prey drive is nothing short of a miracle.

I for one think bignose should be a medcat bc as funny as the idea of there being a borzoi on the battlefield is, I think it’s so much funnier for him to not want to fight and a new cat joins the clan then goes to the medcat den and goes all “WTFFF!!!! WHY IS THERE A DOG HERE!??!?” And everyone is just like, “oh yeah that’s bignose and we live him”

Ok this is really cute, but I also love the idea of him being banned from battle (he is simplytoo powerful) and just being an epic hunter. Like thats literally what borzoi were originally bred for, he brings home the best rabbits, pheasants and fish!

He could also be a good camp guard, imagine breaking into a rival camp only to find the dog equivalent of the slenderman staring you down
