Feel free to give input, maybe share your thoughts, or give creative criticism. I'm still trying to get the personalities of the characters right. Plus it's only 2 paragraphs long. 🥺🥹🥲

A world where 80% of the human population has quirks and the other remaining 20% doesn’t have quirks. Amongst the human race live a new species called pokemon. These strange creatures lived in harmony with humanity, helping them in any way possible. Some live wild far from the cities, others live in lakes and ponds, or back alleyways and sewage just to keep away from humanity and some were house pets keeping the elderly company. A small group of children decided to venture in the woods in search of these creatures. Our favorite adorable green haired cinnamon roll was apart from that group, following behind the other three and the leader of said group was a red eyed ash blonde haired boy.

Chanting his theme for his agency as they cross a log, our shy green bean aimlessly looked around in hopes of finding the creatures dubbed as pokemon. Once crossing onto the other side of the river they continued their search when they came to a clearing. All four children were excited, they all broke off in different directions. The ash blonde peaked around bushes and shrubs. The winged heavy set one looked in trees and tree knot holes. The one who can elongate his fingers looked through thick blades of grass and under rocks.

All the while the plain looking greenette boy looked around the pound aligned with cattails and lily pads. When he spotted a frog looking creature sitting on a rock basking in the sunlight with a calm demeanor as it sat there. Staring in awe our green curly haired cinnamon roll slowly patted his pocket for a small booklet that had Info on pokèmon. Flipping through the pages he comes across the page he was looking for.

National number: 453

Croagunk the toxic mouth pokèmon.

A poison and fighting type.

Its cheeks hold poison sacs. It tries to catch foes off guard to jab them with toxic fingers. Inflating its poison sacs, it makes an eerie blubbering sound for intimidation. It rarely fights fairly, but that is strictly to ensure survival.

Smiling wide, the precious bean gleamed with excitement tucking the booklet back in his pocket. This was his first encounter with a pokèmon slowly stepping forward, careful not to make a sound. Not wanting to scare off the pokèmon unaware that another pokèmon had shown up and was right behind him. Izuku was too focused on the frog looking pokèmon ahead of him till it was a little too late. Freezing in his spot when he noticed a looming shadow over him, scared out of his wits the poor bean had tears in the corner of his eyes.

"Tox icroak." The looming figure croaked.

Shivering in fright, Izuku shankly turned around to face whatever or whoever was behind him. Wide eyed the smol child is now face to face with a wild pokèmon and without a pokèmon he's unable to protect himself.

National Number: 454

Toxicroak the mouth pokèmon

A poison and fighting type

Its knuckle claws secrete a toxin so vile that even a scratch could prove fatal. The toxin made in its poison sacs is pumped to the knuckle claws through tubes down its arms. It has a poison sac at its throat. When it croaks, the stored poison is churned for greater potency.

The poor boy nearly fainted at how close it was, just mere inches away from him. Izuku's little legs gave out and he fell landing on his butt. Glaring at him; toxicroak ready itself to attack when a shadowy outline of another pokemon struck it in the face. Stunned, Toxicroak stumbled backwards and shook it off, now glaring even more pissed than it was before.

"Croa croa croa gunk."

The two were at a standoff staring intensely at the other. The tension was thick, suffocating even, the murderous intent they had. Izuku shivered at the very malice intense atmosphere. When toxicroak's pre-evolution made the first move and sent multiple punches in the apposing pokèmon’s stomach. Though the move wasn't really effective it still managed to hold off toxicroak.

And that moment was imprinted in Izuku's mind; he'll never forget it. He noticed how different this croagunk looks from the picture in his book, quietly muttering to himself trying to figure out why it looked so different. To which annoyed the frog pokèmon that was fighting toxicroak. Then the larger pokèmon went to attack Izuku only for croagunk to immediately headbutt it's evolved from. Stunning toxicroak and gave it a warning croak.

Soon toxicroak left angry and injured. croagunk on the other hand fell on its back exhausted from the fight that had occurred. Izuku stopped his muttering and took out an oran berry giving it to croagunk.

"Here this is to help regain your energy." Taking the berry from Izuku; croagunk took the berry that was offered to it and ate it.

The greenette beamed with happiness. He excitedly jumped and a pokèball fell out of his pocket. Rolling towards croagunk the trigger button light taps on it and into the pokèball croagunk went. It shook about three times when it clicked signaling a successful capture.

In awe Izuku picked up the pokèball and tossed it into the air, “Go, y/n.”

Croagunk now named y/n pops out of the ball sparkling and shimmering, y/n was still eating on the berry that was given to him. Izuku grinned excitedly this was his first ever pokèmon caught all by himself giggling and laughing. Bakugo and the others heard the excited boy and quickly came over.

“Kacchan! Guess what I caught a croagunk and his name is y/n!”

This made the ash blonde boy angry. Izuku caught a pokèmon before him. Y/n was chillin after finishing the berry. It’s relaxed posture shifted slightly seeing the angered blond glaring at Izuku. The jealous and angry blonde was about to hit Izuku when y/n jabbed him in the stomach. Their froggy fingers had a white color to it. Katsuki held his stomach and hunched over in pain slightly glaring at the frog. And from that day Izuku’s froggy companion despised that little brat Katsuki.

Present day location Aldera Junior High

Now here we are years later in a classroom with around twenty students. It’s their final year of junior high and the teacher was at his desk addressing them. Izuku sat at his desk with his head down and y/n sat in Izuku’s backpack happily munching on pokèpuffs. The teacher tossed the papers in the air as the students showed off their quirks and Izuku just raised his hand. Katsuki being the cocky shit he is just had to speak up.

“Hey, teach, don't lump me in with this bunch of losers. I’m the real deal. These guys would be lucky enough to end up as sidekicks at some busted D-lister, hah.”

And that comment didn’t settle well with his fellow classmates as they all spoke at once. When the teacher spoke back up. “Bakugo, you did score the highest on your tests, maybe you could get into U.A.”

The whole class was stunned and shocked now knowing that he was applying for the national school for future heroes. Poor Izuku shrank into his seat wanting to hide knowing what’s gonna happen next. He was instantly put in the spotlight when their teacher called him out.

“Oh, Midroriya. You applied for U.A as well.” That made the whole class bursts into an uproar of laughter. Katsuki on the other hand was frozen and then launched himself at Izuku blowing up his desk. The poor teen shrieked in fear and backed up against the wall. Before saying a word a familiar croak was heard.

There sat the frog pokèmon staring beady eyed at Katsuki like it was daring him to even try. The angered blonde stared back. Y/n held up his hand ready to fight Bakugo. Both were still locked in an intense staring contest. Finally Bakugo moved away from Midoriya and went back to his seat. The school day passed on as normal and now school had just ended for the day.

Izuku was looking at his phone while y/n chilled on the desk next to him. The greenette smiled and patted him on the head which earned him a closed eyed smile. Izuku gathered his stuff and y/n jumped onto his shoulder when Katsuki and his little group walked in. Oh boy this was surely not gonna end well.

To be continued…

Subject 8190

There sat a man in the middle of a padded cell. Eyes glued to the floor, his hair matted and knotted. The disgruntled man furrowed his brows as if he was in deep thought. When the door to his cell opened with a creak do to old age and rust. Shifting his gaze from the floor to a sharply dressed figure narrowing his eyes into a venomous glare. The well sharply dressed person wasn’t fazed at all use to the glares and death threats. They quirked a brow and stared at the disgruntled man before them.

His matted hair fanning his face as the well dressed person approaches him. The leather glove they wear grabs him by the jaw. Behind those yellow eyes anger and rage burned brightly. His aged body shook with unspoken anger and hatred. “Mr. Suzuki, Sir?” a meek and timid voice spoke from behind the sharply well dressed man.

“Yes, Ms. Kato? What is it?” the sharply well dressed man now known as Mr. Suzuki crones.

She took a hesitant step forward before replying, “Going through the notes and information that was provided. Subject 8190…”

“Drayden.” Croaked the disheveled man sitting in front of Mr. Suzuki. “My name… is Drayden.”

Mr. Suzuki gave a small glare and spoke, “Lab rats don’t speak nor interrupt someone when they’re speaking.” Giving Drayden a shove. Before turning to Ms. Kato giving her a nod to continue.

“As I was saying, Mr. Suzuki. Subject 8190 other wise known as shifting Kaiju. Can shift in and out of his Kaiju form back to human. Blood type B negative. Height 6’1. Age is irrelevant. Though it seems they haven’t gave him a field test. To see how he could handle other kaijus.” Adjusting her glasses as she skimmed through the file.

“The KDF is rather secretive when it comes to their latest passion projects… but this one is well forgotten…” Mr. Suzuki grinned darkly. “And right for the taking.”

Ms. Kato looked at her boss in complete shock, “But, Mr. Suzuki, sir. You surely aren’t thinking about stealing from the KDF are you, sir?”

Mr. Suzuki stood to his full height and fixed his tie, “Now, Ms. Kato, stealing is such a strong word I’m simply… borrowing him for awhile. If you will, Ms. Kato, radio our pilot and have the team to bring the transport containment pod. We found what we were looking for.”

With a sigh Ms. Kato radios the pilot as Mr. Suzuki looks back at Drayden. His yellow eyes seems to glow as his face twists with rage. ‘Damn these restraints.’ He cursed inwardly to himself. The two then left as four combat dressed men entered while one rolled in the transport containment pod. Drayden fought against his restraints trying hard to escape.

The four combat foot soldiers held him down as he fights the restraints and the four combat foot soldiers. The stress of the situation wasn’t helping as his body slowly began to change. He gave a deep growl as the restraints started to tear and snap. One soldier had a sedative and tried injecting it into Drayden’s neck only for it to be dropped. Struggling against the soldiers Drayden managed to fight them off and brake free from the restraints.

Charging past the soldiers and bolted out of the cell. ‘Fucking finally freedom!’ Drayden’s freedom was short lived as he crumbles to the floor. Mr. Suzuki had shot Drayden five times with a sedative pistol he had carried on his person. Mr. Suzuki glare disapprovingly at his men, “Useless all of you. Now get him in that transport containment pod! We wasted enough time!” His men hurriedly put Drayden into the transport containment pod and quickly followed their boss.

Rolling the transport containment pod out of the cell with an unconscious Drayden inside. Mr. Suzuki glanced at the camera with a smug grin and gave a wink. Knowing full well that the head of KDF would be watching the security feed. Now on the rooftop of KDF headquarters. His men had loaded up the transport containment pod onto the cargo plane. “Ms. Kato.” His voice stern and cold. “Call my chief scientist and get them caught up to speed.”

“Yes, sir.” She was quick to respond and whipped out her phone dialing the number.

Mr. Suzuki was playing the long game carefully watching and waiting. “Sato… you bastard. I’ll never forgive you for what you did. It’s my turn now.” He stares at the city. With Mrs. Sato out of the way momentarily. Mr. Suzuki could do whatever he pleases but one man… one hero prevented that from happening. “Ultraman.” He growled.

Chapter Two: Hello Old Friend

It's been a whole week since the incident and Mac is trying his best to adjust into the city. But the loud noises are making it quite difficult for him. Having six ears is no joke, they're highly sensitive especially when it comes to loud noises. With a sigh he throws off the covers and slides off his bed. Macaque shivered once his feet touched the cold floor. Walking towards the window seeing that it is a clear night. He opens up the window and climbs out, macaque closes it back once he is outside.

He jumped on a nearby window seal and scaled the apartment. Macaque reached the rooftop, lifting himself up onto the ledge. Letting his feet dangle off the edge, he stared up at the sky. Macaque felt a sense of security as he gazed at the stars; the tranquility of the night was always so calming. With a sigh, macaque thinks back to that day just a week prior and it still angers him. Narrowing his eyes at the mere thought of it shaking his head to rid himself of the thought.

Maybe tomorrow he could visit Mk at pigsy's noodles. He grinned at that remembering all the trouble they got into. "Ah, good times." The dark-furred monkey stayed a little longer before deciding to go back inside and try to get some sleep. Completely unaware that a certain stone monkey now has him under their radar. “So, you finally came out of hiding, huh…. Liu er.” Once back inside, macaque covers himself and drifts off to sleep.

Dream/Memory

Two monkeys played and chased the other around in blissful ignorance completely unaware of their destined future. The two young monkeys now rested under a tree enjoying the coolness that the shade provided from the hot sun. “Hey, peaches?” The white furred monkey spoke up. The other monkey now dubbed as peaches hms in response. “Do you think we’ll still be friends when we get older.” Peaches scoffed at the question, “Duh! We’ll be friends for the rest of our lives, mango! And there’s no one who can separate us!”

Mango lightly laughed, “Yeah, you're right, peaches. No one can.” Both monkeys watched as the clouds rolled by making funny shapes, some were bunnies, others looked like dragons. The white furred monkey's tail curled around the other's tail soft purrs came from him as he leaned against his friend.

Oh how wrong they were back then.

Dream/Memory Ends

Macaque slowly stirred awake from his slumber. Yawning as he stretched, waking himself up, “Another day and another year to suffer.” Though the dream he had last night… Who were they and why did the other monkey seem familiar? He shrugged it off and pulled the covers off, sliding off the bed, stretching once more to fully wake himself. Grinning cheekily today he was gonna pester pigsy, “He’s gonna hate me but I don’t care.” He puts on his everyday clothes and heads down the stairs. The apartment was quieter than usual. His father must be at work already.

He quickly makes his way out the door and being the monkey that he is fuck the stairs as they say. And slides down the railing once in the small living space, macaque grabs a piece of fruit and heads out the door. The young monkey walked down the streets while playing a mobile game. ‘‘Maybe I can hang out with Mk if he's not busy, that is.” He thought out loud to himself. Looking up from his phone an all too familiar sign was in front of him.

Grinning, he quickly walked inside, “WHAT’S UP FUCKERS!” His sudden entrance startled Tang, causing him to drop a bowl of noodles he was eating and coughing since he choked on some of the broth. “Damn it kid! How many times have I told you not to do that!” Pigsy’s grumpy voice sounded from the kitchen. The cheeky little shit that he is only laughed. “Admit it you’d be lost without me.” The older male grumbled and sat a bowl of ramen down on the counter. Pigsy wouldn’t dare admit to anyone he did actually care for the young simian much like Mk he did see mac as a kid of his own.

Macaque sat on the stool and grabbed the bowl, “See and you knew my favorite ramen too.” He happily ate the noodles. Pigsy returned to his work focusing on making the customers orders. A little later Mk shows up… late like always. “Mk your late!” Burnett haired boy just awkwardly grinned and scratched at his neck. Liu er shook his head amused by this and continued eating. “Sorry, pigsy, my alarm didn’t go off, so I overslept.” Mac shook his head. Classic Mk oversleeping like usual.

“There’s no time for slacking, it's time to get to work, Mk.” Pigsy spoke. Nodding Mk quickly left and gave a quick apology to Liu’er. The pig demon sighed and continued his work. After a while Mk came back from his deliveries. “Hey, Mac, I wanna introduce you to someone but we’d have to use my staff to get there.” Lui’ Er thought for a moment before replying, “Yeah sure, why not.” The energetic boy grinned and grabbed macaque’s arm, “Alright! Lego!”

Mk used his staff to reach FFM. “And where we are! Flower fruit mountain!” Macaque blinked as he processed what Mk had just said. “Hold up a sec… Did you just say Flower Fruit Mountain? Like the FLOWER FRUIT MOUNTAIN that’s the home of THE sun wukong?!” Mk nodded excitedly before Liu’er exclaimed, “Oh hell nah! Take me the fuck back!” Frowning at the panicked simian, Mk shook his head. “It’s too late, you're gonna meet him.”

Mac groaned, annoyed as his friend dragged him. Passing underneath a waterfall they entered a large cavern and up a head was a small house. “Monkey king! I’ve brought a friend I’d like for you to meet!” Mk shouted with excitement. Macaque felt dread wash over him. Maybe this wasn’t a great idea. As if by magic the great sage had appeared in front of them. “Mk! Ready for training?”

“I am. But firstly, meet my friend Liu’er!” Mk gestures towards the dark furred simian. Wukong’s grin turned sour at hearing that name and he glanced at the young boy. He was hauntingly similar to the late Lui’er Mihou. Macaque shook underneath sun wukong’s stare. This was his first time ever meeting him but it felt like he had known Wukong all his life. “Mk… I really wanna go back to Pigsy’s.” Macaque mutters under his breath.

“Mk, let’s go and chat for a sec.” Nodding at his mentor’s words he followed him. Macaque stood by himself lost in his own thoughts and picking at the sleeve of his shirt. Moments later Mk came back and he looked very upset. “Come on, we're leaving.” Mac looked surprised at Mk, “But what about your training?” He scoffed at macaque’s question. Liu’er then looked back at Wukong, who sent him a glare.

Shivering at that he could only assume that their conversation wasn’t a pleasing one. Macaque knew better than to ask Mk what had concurred between them. Frowning, he felt horrible that Mk didn’t get to train today. Wukong watched them leave and he lightly growled, “What’s your plan, macaque? I swear if you ever hurt Mk. I’d kill you.”

Chapter One: New Year Disaster

Standing there as everything burns. What went wrong? This once peaceful town is now a blazing inferno: cars on fire, buildings destroyed, homes, and business are nothing but charred remains. The streets were littered with debris and corpses. The only sounds that could be heard are the crying of children and the wailing sirens from emergency vehicles. This place is like a war zone. Everything is gone, black smoke obscures the sky with the setting sun’s rays giving it a hellish glow. A dark-furred monkey stood in the streets as the EMS rushed past him.

His golden eyes pooled with unshaded tears, scrunching his nose in disgust at the horrid smell. His lips formed a scowl as he growled. The town he grew up in was no more, this safe haven was now hell. Who had done this? And why this town, his home, his neighbors, friends, and the children. Both of his hands curled into a fist. He shouldn’t have left to go into the city, his body shook with rage the townspeople had done nothing to deserve this. They were good people; both humans and demons lived in peace.

“I will find whoever did this and when I do… I’ll kill them.” The dark-furred monkey growled. A hand placed itself on his shoulder making him look back. Seeing his father with a broken expression hurt him. Mac hasn’t seen that look ever since his mother passed away.

“I know, son. I’m just as angry as you are.” They both looked back at the scene before them with a grim expression. Today of all days. Just why? It's the lunar new year and this had to have happened.

...Hours prior...

Our scene is set in a small town on the outskirts of the city. The sun is over the horizon as an edgy monkey laid in bed. A groan came from him as he tiredly glanced at the bedside clock. His fuzzy vision focused on the time it was barely even… wait a minute it’s almost…eight! Oh shit! Throwing off the covers he scrambled to get dressed and bolted out of the room whilst grabbing his bag. A yellow, red, and black colored bag with a devilish grinning money logo on the side. Running down the steps almost tripping luckily he balanced himself and if the stairs didn't kill him first, his grandfather would.

Rushing to the door a voice called out, “Whoa, there champ. Why the rush?” His father sat at the table reading the newspaper and had a cup of coffee in hand. “I called your grandfather ahead of time and told him that you overslept. Now your lunch is on the table by the door. Have a good day, Mac. Also be back before 1800.”

Snatching it off the table, stuffing it into his bag. He waved at his father, calling out a quick love you and ran like hell towards the city. Dodging people left and right, ducking under and jumping over things, all the while getting shouted at. Waving them off with a cheeky grin and continuing on his way to his grandfather’s dojo. Now, Mac is no stranger when it comes to showing off and boy does he love doing parkour just to get others attention. Rather it be jumping from car to car, or lamppost to lamppost you name it he's done it.

Turning a corner, Macaque slowed his pace to walk. Breathing heavily he took a moment to steady his breathing in and out, inhale and exhale. Relaxing the mind and body. Now with a steady breathing, Mac continued his way to the dojo. The jet black-furred monkey had finally made it to his grandfather’s dojo. Macaque had opened the door… THWACK. He was met with a staff to the head.

“ACK! Geez, you old monkey! The hell was that for?!” Macaque exclaimed while rubbing his throbbing head. The elder monkey cheekily grinned and then laughed. “Oh ho, my dear grandson, this is the last year of having you as my student. It’s a must.”

Glaring at the elderly still rubbing the now sore spot, he marched right past and grumbled. “Yeah, it’s a must, my ass.” Which resulted in another hit to his backside. “Gah! Oh that tears it! You lost your staff privileges.” Grabbing it away from his grandfather, Mac tossed it up on to a high self and out of the old monkey’s reach.

“My grandson! Why must you treat me this way?! Do you want me not to get back off the floor if I were to fall!?” He scoffed at the dramatic monkey and went about his business. Placing his bag by the coffee table making his way to boxes of new year’s decorations. It’s like this every year, that old monkey waits till the last minute to set up for the new year.

Some time passes and the dojo is all decorated. Macaque is sprawled out on the couch napping. With one arm on his chest and right leg propped on the arm of the coach as the other arm and leg dangle off the side. A shack lunch bag sitting on the table with an empty bowl and half eaten mooncake sat to the side. The six eared monkey murmuring in his sleep scratches an itch on the side of his face.

“Mmm pha~ so sleepy.” He stretched, waking his tired bones and himself. Lazily setting up, macaque still with a sleep dazed expression looking at the wall clock which read 1800… fuck was all he could think without bedding his grandfather good bye, Mac grabbed his bag and bolted for the door and barreled down the streets.

‘Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, oh shit. OH SHIT! I’m late, I'm late, I'm late! Dad’s gonna kill me!!’ He inwardly cried. Macaque wasn’t paying any attention until fire trucks, ambulances, and police cars drove by causing him to jump back. Something wasn’t right you usually don’t see that many emergency responders unless… oh god no… please no! No! Don’t let it be the town he called home all his life. Running faster, dodging, jumping, and zipping by people not caring for the shouts. Macaque just had to get home. He has to know, just has to. Mac can’t lose another parent; he can't! His mother is already gone. He’s not ready to lose his father.

Arriving home, Mac was horrified by the state that everything was in. The town was gone, nothing remained where it once was. Everything and I mean everything was burning. The firemen were busy putting out the fires, policemen set up blockades, and the EMS were checking up on people and loading up the injured.

His mind raced and his body shook with rage. One question popped into his thoughts. Who did this?

Present Moment

Both father and son stare at the sight. This once was their home; the lively town is just... hell. A heavy silence fell between them. Neither one dared to speak, the somber cries filled their ears. The six-eared monkey regretted going into the city when he should've stayed to help the townspeople. The older male patted his son's shoulder in comfort.

"It'll be alright, Mac. We can get through this just like before. A monkey troop of two! We're warriors, remember that my boy." His worn face bore a wide grin. So optimistic the man was.

Mac huffed a laugh and nodded, "Yeah, just like before."

Before… back when his mother was killed. That moment haunts him. The blood pooling around her body; the scared expression ever frozen on her face.

"Macaque, son… I know I miss her too." Pulling him into a much needed hug. "She'll always love you. You're her little shadow warrior."

"Guess, grandpa is gonna have guests for new years after all." Macaque spoke. The pain in his voice was a dead give away.

The father nods, "Come now, son, let's go and spend the new year with Huizhong."
