BTS as Greek Deities

@forksofwisdom​ ‘s own Twilight Characters Cast as Greek Deities - pictures + explanations gave me the idea for this one. As she wrote, I am only doing personalities on this one.

I had trouble with most of them, as they have vast personalities, however, Namjoon fit more into the Zeus/Athena archetype, so I chose Zeus instead. He was able to outsmart his own father in order to get his siblings out of his stomach so they can win the war against the Titans. And just like Zeus, Namjoon is a natural-born leader, with (what the members told us in older interviews) a taste for. . . sexual things. 

With Jin, I was having trouble between Hestia and Hera but chose Hestia as his character. Hestia was the goddess of the hearth and family, while Hera was the goddess of marriage. Seokjin is declared as the ‘mother’ of BTS by Armys alike, so, instead of making him the goddess of marriage, I made him the goddess of family.

Yoongi was the one I had the most trouble with. He has such a unique personality that is sometimes hard to capture into words. So, I based his off things the members said. They have said that he is the one to fix the things Namjoon breaks, and it fits perfectly into Hephaestus, the god of blacksmiths. However, Yoongi does not have Hephaestus’ deformed outer appearance mentioned in the myths.

All of the members have a touch of Apollo in them, but Hoseok embodies the sun the most. Apollo is depicted as an almost happy-go-lucky person in pop culture (looking at you, Rick Riordan), which fits into Hoseok’s personality. Have you seen the English translated versions of his songs? Poetry.

Jimin, on stage, has an almost sexual appearance, depending on the outfit he wears. Eros is also the god of love, and Jimin has a lot of love to give around. I mean this boy always wants a hug from his friends. (Have you seen the video of him running up to Namjoon, arms raised, going “Namjoon!” He’s Namjoon’s baby). 

Taehyung is beauty, he is (somewhat) grace, he is the nation’s baby boy. He wears Gucci, he is said to be the babiest baby of the group, and he can still switch it up, going from tiny baby™ to Dom™ onstage in almost a second. This boy is nothing but beauty, and you can’t tell me otherwise. 

Jungkook is the Energizer bunny on CRACK and you can’t tell me otherwise, okay? This boy loves to workout from what we can tell, and even Yoongi declined to arm wrestle him. Jungkook is the embodiment of Hermes, who was told he should be the messenger of the gods because he ran the fastest. Not only is Hermes the messenger of the gods, but he is also the god of trickery and sports, two of which are Jungkook’s favorite things (most of the time he watches as tricks happen, and sometimes he doesn’t know the trick is on him).

↳ the goddess of war, freyja, is put onto kattegat to aid the lothbroks during their future raids. both the seer and aslaug have seen her coming, and the queen welcomes her with open arms. catching the eye of hvitserk lothbrok, she treats him as no one has done before; as an equal, instead of a dog.

gimme that ! (^ * )  shortly after the apocalypse happens, survivors go into hiding in outposts that are set up around the world. outpost 3, however, doesn’t realize that three of the people that have taken up residence in their walls are vampires, feeding on the others whilst they are asleep. all they know is that they are finding bite marks on them, and have little to no recollection as to how they are getting them. when michael langdon makes his way into outpost 3, the vampires are keen on making him the fourth in the relationship. masterlist
