Director: OKAY, CUT! We shoot the next scene in five!

Carter: *In a confused nervous tone* ...Wow, this is going great.

Sadie: *In the same tone* ...Perfect.

Director: I know right! I can't believe we're actually doing this! I gotta thank you for bringing this idea to the studio.

Carter: *Cheerful again* Oh, it was no problem. We always wanted to see our-I mean, Carter & Sadie's adventures in a movie.

Director: Well, it was a good idea, taking a not-so-popular fictional series and making it a big budget movie.

Carter: Uh...heh heh, fictional, sure.

Director: Anyways, enjoy your break.

*The two walk off, only to be pulled behind the back of a building by Percy & Annabeth*

Carter: What are you guys doing here?!?

Annabeth: We came to stop you!

Sadie: I'm sorry, what now?!

Percy: Look, you can't go through with this movie! It will ruin you & your adventures and everyone will associate the movie with you guys!

Carter: Or, it will be awesome & make us as popular as you guys!

Annabeth: I saw the scenes you guys just did! You know something's up! You know how none of this is accurate!

Percy: Plus, why would you wanna be as popular as us! Have you seen our lives! We're literally at the center of every apocalypse!

Sadie: Sorry, loves, but it's finally time for the Kanes to be in the spotlight for once! We're going to do this and it will be awesome!

Carter: *In a Schwarzenegger voice* Hasta la vista!

Sadie: Don't be a nerd, Carter. *The two walk off*

*Annabeth pulls out a walkie-talkie*

Annabeth: Well, that failed.

Guy over the walkie-talkie: What now? We can't let them go down like this!

Annabeth: Grover, get the others. It's time for plan B.

Wrote a silly epilogue comic of the Samurai Jack finale. SPOILER WARNING

Last week I read the anthology Love Is Love, published by DC Comics and IDW, an homage to the victims and survivors of the Orlando shooting.

I didn’t dare asking to participate when Marc Andreyko made an open call for creators. But after reading it, and seeing the DC characters there (which I didn’t expect), I kept thinking what would I have done, and I was inspired to do this short story. Couldn’t help myself actually. It falls utterly and unashamedly under the category of fan fiction. My first ever.

And to expand on the meta commentary, given the hostile world we live in, as a queer author and activist I think mainstream comics still could use higher profile queer superheroes, tied to their most visible franchises, that are queer super activists alongside the ones that do add to minority representation but sometimes just “happen to be queer”. Of course, as a Wonderfan I think one tied to the Wonder Woman franchise would be just perfect.

If the world was ruled by Rick Riordan’s characters

Percy would make sure that whomever throws trash in the sea will have to pay/ be banned from going to the beach or on a ship or any place with a small pond or lake.

He’d also make sure that animals in aquariums would be treated properly. if they weren’t, the aquarium would be closed and the animals sent back to the sea.

He’d ask his sea friend to stay on patrol to watch out for people who might drown while swimming.

Blue food.

The word “not my type” is a sin.

Annabeth would work to improve the architecture of buildings.

She’d also plan buildings for orphans, homeless poor people, and escaping demigods.

Annabeth and Carter would increase the number of libraries in the world. Annabeth would design the building so that it would be sufficient for all the books and also look inviting. Ella would help them gather good books.

She’d raise debates about banned books and also encourage children to read. 

Grover would ban people who trash the nature from visiting forests, parks, or gardens for a short amount of time, would have to pay for it, and receive an educational seminar about the dangers our nature is exposed to. (Not to mention that they’d receive punishment from tree nymphs).

He’d work with nymphs and spirits to plant more trees and flowers and plants.

He’d also regulate the rate of tree cutting.

Tyson would make sure that carpenters, blacksmiths, etc. work in good environments and have good working conditions.

Peanut butter.

Reyna and Zia would improve armies and develop new fighting techniques.

They’d join Thalia and the Hunters of Artemis educating women about how they can protect themselves from violence and abuse and teaching them self-defense techniques.

Jason would help Reyna by improving air forces and putting volunteering eagles on patrols to protect the land from assaults from enemies.

Piper would teach people about the true standards of love and give good love advice.

She’d also develop her own fashion line for all types of people (casual, feminine, sporty, masculine, fancy, etc.) She’s also joined by Hazel and Blitzen. (Jason would be one of her models, but after girls began getting attached to him, she canceled the idea).

Getting experience from her father, she’d encourage children with acting or singing and use charmspeak to calm them down if they feel nervous or panicky.

Frank would create natural reserves for endangered animals. He’d use his transformation powers to communicate with the animals and tell them about the reserve; he’d also comfort young animals whose parents were killed or something.

He’d also reduce the rate of animal hunting.

Hazel would use her jewelry as donations for any charity project. She also joins Piper as she develops her fashion line using the gems for decorations and accessories.

She asks Frank to let her take care of the horses’ natural reserves (Percy helps too).

Leo would help Tyson in his project of helping workers do their jobs in better conditions, especially because he doesn’t want to see anybody related to these workers suffer if an accident happens at the workplace–just like what happened to him with his mother.

He tries to create electronic devices that won’t attract monsters for demigods.

He also opens a small company with Calypso to teach and help those without a job and reduce the levels of unemployment. Gradually, the company grows and begins to have many branches, helping lots of people who can’t get a job or don’t have enough money to get a better education, also giving those people with families a chance to let their children have what they couldn’t.

Nico and Anubis/Walt would collaborate to fix funerals and teach people about the correct rituals. With the help of Hazel and the Valkyries, they try to help ghosts who are confused between Greek, Roman, Norse, Egyptian, etc. afterlives. They teach people to respect the dead and not mistreat them.

With the help of Annabeth, Will starts a clinic to help those who are hurt due to racism, sexism, rape, homophobes, transphobes, xenophobes, and so on. He uses his healing powers to help them, and also hires therapists and stuff. Sometimes, if the patient was young, Will would sing a soothing song or play an instrument or something to comfort them (and sometimes Nico would hunt down those who harmed Will’s patients for the sake of Will).

Magnus helps Annabeth by looking for homeless kids whenever he is free, since he’s an expert at this type of thing (it’d also keep him sane if he’s going to live for centuries).

Hearth goes on trips and gathers people to teach them ASL. He also helps deaf kids to gain confidence and believe in themselves, so that they wouldn’t end up like him when he was a child.

He also assists Magnus in searching for the homeless kids, in hopes that they’ll also find their family of empty cups.

In her free time, Samirah looks for muslims who are being harassed and defends them.

She’d also probably destroy ISIS.

So in conclusion the world will be a better place for mortals, demigods, animals, and everything.
