Aisha was trying to remove Seungcheol’s memories which were hurting her, never did she think that she would be hurting because of him, that he would hurt her.

Aisha looked at the mirror, a little nervous. She heard a knock on her door, “Are you done?” Aisha turned to look at him, “Yes, I am done and ready”

Jeonghan walked towards her and held her shoulder, “Are you nervous?” Aisha nodded, “don’t worry, and you look pretty” getting compliments and appreciation from Jeonghan was getting normal

“Come to think of it, I never really met your family, not even your sister.” Aisha looked at him and smiled, “But now you’re meeting”

“Are they really okay with me?” he nodded, “They are, trust me, they will love you. You’re lovely” he didn’t lie, she looked pretty in his eyes, he adored her a lot. When Jeonghan broke the news of his marriage, to his family, first they were surprised because no one expected this out of the blue. He tried his best to convince them about being together with Aisha, because when it comes to Yoon Jeonghan, he can convince everyone.

Jeonghan told them about Aisha being pregnant because he wanted this to be clear with his family, he didn’t mention anything about Seungcheol when they asked about him, he replied to them vaguely.

“It’s going to be okay.” Jeonghan wanted her to feel less anxious, knowing that her anxiety can take a toll on her.

Soon, they left.

They reached Jeonghan’s house, he was holding Aisha’s hand because she was nervous and he knew she needed his support without even asking. It was Jeonghan’s idea to call Aisha’s parents over to his house and finalize everything about their marriage. Meeting parents and then deciding everything was a need. Considering the fact, Jeonghan’s parents were happy. Aisha already informed everything and sent her the address, and her parents arrived before them. They were waiting for Jeonghan and Aisha.

Jeonghan rang the bell, “It’s going to be okay” he whispered and resisted giving a quick kiss on Aisha’s forehead, she felt safe with him. Soon, Jeonghan’s sister opened the door.

“Jeonghan!!” Ari, his sister practically jumped on him and hugged him tight; he was taken aback and left Aisha’s hand for a second and hugged his sister back. Looking at them, Aisha felt happy; Aisha was the only daughter, and that’s why she always adored sibling relationships. “I missed you” Aisha smiled at his sister when she got down.

“Hi” she looked at Aisha and was about to hug her tight, but Jeonghan stopped her resulting in her pouting, “Only you can hug your girlfriend or what?”

“It’s not like that, you can hug her but don’t squeeze the air out of her, it’d been three months” Ari nodded at Jeonghan’s words. She gave a hug carefully to Aisha and Aisha hugged back, she felt warm and welcomed.

“Do you plan to keep us here and not let us enter my house?” Jeonghan gave her a look and earned a slight hit on his elbow. Aisha smiled at them. “Let’s go, everyone’s waiting for you both” Ari, led the way, Jeonghan held Aisha’s hand and she looked at him in surprise. Jeonghan smiled at him assuring everything’s going to be fine. Jeonghan’s smile would be the new way of assuring Aisha about everything.

They saw, their parents smiling and laughing, it looked like they were enjoying the company. Both of them bowed to eachother, and Jeonghan went to hug his mom. “Finally you’re back after so many days”

“Blame my company mom” she kissed his cheeks. Aisha was standing beside Jeonghan, Jeonghan’s mom looked at Aisha and gave her a hug, she caressed her cheeks “You are so pretty”

“Thank you” Aisha didn’t feel like an outsider, she felt warm and loved. “Take a seat, and we can talk”

Both nodded and took a seat, Ari went to sit beside her mom. “So, Jeonghan and Aisha… how long have you two been dating or being together?” Aisha, tried to calm her down, she met Jeonghan almost four years ago, after she started dating Seungcheol five years ago, before she could reply Jeonghan did. “a little more than four years ago. I knew her because of our mutual friend and I knew her, but I officially met her four years ago and got together” the whole time Jeonghan was speaking, he was holding her hand, he didn’t care if anyone saw them holding hands or anything, Aisha was the only thought in his mind right now.

“I didn’t know my son was dating such a pretty girl”

“Mom!”

“what? Am I wrong? I should’ve been the first to know about her, she looks so pretty” Jeonghan was about to say but was cut off by his dad, “Jeonghan, I trust you a lot and I know whatever decision you take, you always take the right decision for yourself. And I hope you made all the decisions after thinking about everything. And I respect all your decisions.” He took a pause and then again continued “That’s what I was talking with Aisha’s parents, about everything, why didn’t you tell us? We are your parents. Dating was optional but the moment Aisha got pregnant, you could’ve told us, we are your parents, and the same goes for Aisha. Aisha, this is the happiest news ever, you are going to be a mother, imagine the happiness your mom and dad would feel” Aisha was feeling guilty, the grip of Jeonghan’s hand on her got tighter, and she was trying not to react. “I was the one who stopped Aisha from telling you all because I hadn’t decided the rings and everything yet, Aisha did tell her parents about me but then I got a little busy with work and then they happened to come visit Aisha. But here we are now discussing everything with you all”

“When were you planning to tell us exactly?” The fact Jeonghan was trying his best to convince and cover up everything, he needed to speak up for Aisha because he could feel, she was starting to feel pressurizing and guilt was getting her.

“The next day” he took a pause, “the day Aisha’s parents visited us, just the day after that”

“Perfect then” Aisha’s mom spoke, and everyone looked at her. “Because we already talked about that day, because it felt like Aisha wasn’t ready to share this news with us”

“Mom, it wasn’t like that,” Aisha had to support whatever Jeonghan was saying, “as Jeonghan said, we were planning for the next day.”

“But tell me one thing” It was Aisha’s dad, someone whom she respected a lot and loved a lot. “doesn’t matter how much both you grow, you will be kids for us because you’re our kids. So, tell me one thing, are you happy? I’m asking both of you. Are you ready for the hardships you’re going to face? marriage is a sacred bond. Marriage is a pure bond which ties two people with love, marriage brings two souls closer with love, even if you don’t love eachother, you’ll fall in love, that kind of bond it is.” Everything Aisha’s father was saying, Aisha was trying to hold back her tears, each word was making her realize, which step she was going to take and she was tying Jeonghan with herself in this pure bond, probably without love but for Jeonghan Aisha’s father words were which were making him realize a lot of things.

“We are happy together” It was unexpected but both said in unison and Jeonghan’s hands were still holding Aisha’s hands.

Jeonghan was calm and composed, but Aisha, looked at Jeonghan. She wanted to talk to him, ask him so many things, wanted to ask him, ‘what are we doing here right now Jeonghan?’ everyone looked so happy.

“That’s great. I’m happy that you are happy” Everyone smiled at them as if their smile was enough to give the blessings to them. “Looks like we need to hurry up and prepare for the wedding soon” Ari walked towards her brother and teased him.

“Sure, we were thinking if we could get married next week because Aisha would be entering her fourth month of pregnancy.”

“Jeonghan-

Aisha never talked about her pregnancy openly till now and she was taken aback.

“There’s nothing to be embarrassed by Aisha, we should know as well, why would it be only your soon-to-be husband?” Jeonghan’s mother smiled at her.

“So, next week it is” Ari hugged her brother.

“I’m excited to have a sister-in-law” Ari hugged Aisha and she hugged back.

Days passed by, Jia came back after two weeks and insisted to spend her weekends with her. Even if Jia wanted to stay with Aisha, she couldn’t because of her work she felt guilty but at the same time she was happy because of Jeonghan, he was still staying over with her. He was taking care of her and he takes her out occasionally and he even accompanies her to the doctor’s appointments. The only thing which was in Aisha’s regret was Seungcheol.

She was marking days, in her journal, today it completed her 13th week of pregnancy and she was excited but somewhere still wanted seungcheol back, it was almost a month ever since Jeonghan started staying with her.

“Do you need anything?” she shook her head, watching some random vidoes, she didn’t forget to check her dms of Seungcheol, how she sent him messages three days ago, asking how he is doing and she misses him. Suddenly she receives a message from Jia, saying she will be crashing tonight. She was happy and heard the doorbell ring, she wondered did Jeonghan come so quickly.

She went to open the door, without even checking in the peephole. “You are- her words stopped midway, her steps halted.

“Aisha” her mom and dad were standing infront of her, she remembers telling them she would get married to her boyfriend soon, and will arrange a formal meeting soon but after that, she never updated them about anything. Her mom came to hug her but Aisha was scared her mom will get to know about her pregnancy since she didn’t tell her mom.

“Aisha” she felt something in her words as soon as she let go of her. They entered the room, after her parents settled down in the living room, Aisha mom’s looked at her, “I think we need to talk” and she could guess what was coming. “Mom wait, let me give you a glass of water”

She gave them glasses of water and looked at them, she did miss them, but she couldn’t just bring herself to tell them what was going on in her life, she wasn’t sure how would they react, “why didn’t you tell me, that you were coming?”

“Aisha we need to talk” her mom was firm with her words, she didn’t even let her dad say a thing and got up from the sofa and dragged Aisha to her room.

“Aisha” she looked at her daughter, emotions couldn’t describe what was she feeling, “is this a joke?”

“Mom”

“when are you getting married? Call your damn boyfriend first.”

“Mom”

“I realized the moment you hugged me, how many months already Aisha?!” her mom raised her voice, “I need to go and talk to your dad” Aisha held her mom’s hand, “Mom, please listen to me” she was tearing up

Her mom went out of the room and spotted Aisha’s dad, Aisha came out of her room, “your daughter-

“Aisha why is the door-” Jeonghan’s words were cut off the moment he spotted her parents, and Aisha was tearing up. He was blank for a second, he couldn’t understand what was happening. He couldn’t even speak a single word nor Aisha, “so you’re her boyfriend.”

“Mom” Aisha tries to stop her mom, “what’s going on?” it was Aisha’s dad who spoke, “Aisha, you’re living with your boyfriend?” she shook her head in denial.

“Aisha is pregnant.” Aisha’s mom looked like she would lose her temper anytime, “and here you are living with him, when are you two getting married? Or do you want to spend your whole life like this?”

“Mom, it’s not like that”

It was total chaos, “You need to get married, I am not letting you do this. You can’t have a baby while being unmarried.” She turned her head to look at Jeonghan, “You got her pregnant and you need to take responsibility, when are you getting married to her? I need the answer” Aisha was about to say, it’s not him but Jeonghan was quick to hold her hand and shut her off, she looked desperate but he had a very calm expression. “Shut up Aisha, you’re not a kid, you’re a grown-up” her mom’s words weren’t helping her as well.

Jeonghan’s mind wasn’t in the right state but he also didn’t want Aisha to tell them about Seungcheol because if she did, we don’t know what will happen next, things might get dirty. Aisha never mentioned Seungcheol’s name and they don’t know Jeonghan’s name.

“Soon.” That one word was enough to panic Aisha, she thought he would deny everything and leave her alone in a time like this but never in this whole world, she expected him to reply to her parents who were demanding for married.

“Jeonghan!” she didn’t even try to listen to her parents and dragged Jeonghan to her room.

“Jeonghan” she held his arms, “why would you do that” Her legs gave up and she was on the floor with Jeonghan, “why would you do that?” she was shaking Jeonghan’s arms and started crying.

“then what would've happened? You tell them about Seungcheol and things get messy, you stress, you cry, you try to contact him again, you fall sick?” she was looking at him, this whole month while staying with Aisha, and he understood why Seungcheol fell for her in the first place, his soft corner was always there for her but all the interactions that were cute for Jeonghan were telling him something else. He deeply cared for her and the fact he didn’t regret saying ‘soon’ to her parents. In fast few weeks Aisha’s presence made him realize he can never leave her alone in this situation not after she was getting better slowly.

“You can’t do that Jeonghan, you can’t”

“Then what are you thinking to do? Never tell your parents about the dad and be a single mom? Go and ask Seungcheol to take care of you? Did you realize it’s been more than a month Aisha??” he took a deep breath before looking at her, she was crying again, she was hurt, she never wanted things to turn like this, at this point she regrets telling her parents about having a boyfriend and wanting to marry him.

“You know it’s hard, and it’s going to be harder. Marry me.”

“I can’t marry you Jeonghan, understand that” Aisha was arguing with him

“And I ain’t letting you do this alone, either go to that Seungcheol and get this shit inside his head that he needs to marry you and take your responsibility or let me just take care of you like this. You’re one of my closest friends, whom I consider really precious and I can’t let you go through this alone at any cost.”

“I can’t ruin your life Jeonghan. You’ve a life”

“And so do you Aisha” he took a deep breath and wiped her tears, “who said you’re ruining my life? I would be happy to if I get to see your baby” her tears were making his fingers wet, “Aisha… don’t cry. I’m here.”

“Why would he not believe me and not even ask about me even once?”

“Aisha…” he let out a sigh, it was hard for him to believe this about his own bestfriend, “Let’s get married, we will go choose the rings and then talk to our parents in the next two days and if possible we can keep the wedding date next week. It might get hard for you in the upcoming days, it’s been more than three months, and it’s been more than a month for Seungcheol… let him go”

“How can I let him go when I never ended things with him, it hurts so much Jeonghan, it hurts.” He pulled her into a hug. “let out and cry for now, I am here” he was caressing her back slowly.

Jeonghan went to choose rings for their wedding after Aisha’s parents left, Jia saved everything that night, she didn’t say anything about Seungcheol but when her parents asked about Jeonghan to Jia, she agreed to everything. Somewhere Jia wanted Jeonghan to be with Aisha because that’s what she felt. That night Jeonghan went back to his apartment, which felt lonely because Aisha wasn’t there to talk with him after dinner, she wasn’t there in their bickering.

‘Aisha, if Jeonghan said that, give him a chance and talk to Seungcheol one last time’

Jia just left for her work and her parents left after staying overnight, she heard the door bell ring, it cannot be Jeonghan, that’s what she thought because she got familiar with his office timings, all this time. She looked through the peep hole and her heart dropped on the floor. She couldn’t understand what was happening, did Seungcheol finally come to visit her?

Did he finally decide to talk to her? Did he finally believe her?

After all this?

She opened it with the brightest smile and her tears, she was about to hug him but he stopped her.

“Seungcheol?” she looked puzzled and he entered without even saying a single word. Aisha just closed the door. Aisha couldn’t describe what she felt when she saw Seungcheol, she was happy, hurt, feeling comforted and she was sure this would be the chance to tell him everything and he will understand everything.

“I thought to give you a chance”

“Chance?” Aisha was taken aback, no hug, no greeting no asking, ‘how are you love’ and he jumped to chance. She was doubting everything, after giving her silence treatment when it wasn’t even her fault, he suddenly comes to visit her but he is talking about a chance? 

“What chance?” she was unsure what should she ask next, because it felt like the person she was looking at right now, didn’t feel like the Seungcheol she knew before, it felt like he changed, or was he always like that?

“Leave Jeonghan’s baby with him and come to me” She couldn’t believe what he said just now, “tell me you’re kidding me right now Seungcheol??”

“Do I look like?” his voice was stern, he felt so sure about everything. “This baby is ours and you’re the father. Do you know how I have been spending my days? Did you even know how hard it is, specially like this?” Aisha was waiting for a confrontation with Seungcheol, holding back, she was done yesterday when she broke down in Jeonghan’s arms. She couldn’t hold it anymore, she had to get up and tell him everything she’s had been thinking till now. “Do you know how tired I was to deal with the nightmares almost everyday, everything felt so dark, and I wanted you by my side. I wanted to hear your voice. I wanted to tell you, that I’m tired and I don’t know what am I going to do?!” she raised her voice, it was the first time Aisha raised her voice. “Seungcheol-

“Go and tell this to someone who cares. I don’t care about you and this baby who isn’t mine, I was barely giving you a chance.” His words felt like inch by inch, a dragger pierced through her chest, “You know what Seungcheol? I was wrong the entire time, I was wrong, this whole time I thought I will meet with you and tell you everything so it will clear up the misunderstanding. But looks like you’re not even ready to believe the truth. Fine then, watch me walk on the aisle and get married to someone else, because I cannot let my baby suffer because of you. ” she caressed her tummy with all the love. “I am getting married soon,” Seungcheol was surprised, “If you ever cared about me even a bit then you would understand how I feel right now” Aisha was telling herself not to cry, with each word she was letting out.

“how do you know I never cared about you, we were about to get married and you destroyed everything AISHA, YOU DID. YOU RUINED EVERYTHING.” He was blaming her for everything again, this was her limit, either she tells him to leave right now or else everything would get messier, which she didn’t want to, all these days, she tried so hard to be okay, to get better but his blame have the power to turn everything upside down. “SEUNGCHEOL LEAVE” she raised her voice, and was surprised because Seungcheol never saw her raising her voice at him, he wasn’t ready to leave, he still believed that Aisha was the one who ruined everything. “LEAVE RIGHT NOW”

“you have no right over this baby, and remember it wasn’t me who ruined everything, it was YOU” she said and pushed him towards the door, “LEAVE. I SAID.” She shut the door on his face and broke down on the floor.

She didn’t expect her encounter with Seungcheol would be this bad, never she expected he would actually say those words to her. She didn’t cry anymore, everything felt so hollow, everything felt so empty as if there’s nothing left anymore.

She didn’t realize the time, until she heard the doorbell ring, she opened the door and looked at Jeonghan. Jeonghan saw her face and got worried, about thinking what possibly would've gone wrong. Aisha was tearing up, looking at him, he took a look at her and hugged her.

Aisha didn’t speak a single word, it was just Jeonghan’s hug that was calming her down. “I’m here. it’s fine” he knew she needed time and he never pushed Aisha to her limits for anything. He was hugging her until her breathing went to normal.

“It’s over.”
