this was SUCH a great read. the world-building is amazing! i was able to visualize what was happening and feel like i was really there witnessing everything unfold. i cant believe this story is free to read??? the characterization! amazing. i must say bast is my favorite character lol i’ve read this so many times and each read gets better and better. thank you, @junghelioseok for sharing your beautiful writing with us. below are some of my fave scenes~
i love the funeral scene. it showcased oc and hoseok’s relationship. although it was taboo, hoseok still wanted oc there, which leads me to assume how deeply he needs her. it really set the tone.
my heart really broke for oc when hoseok told her about the arranged marriage. despite being hurt, she still kept her cool.
omg but the way oc was still so nice to nayeon in the shop even though she was high-key annoying wow but bast’s comments!! hahahaha they were literally perfect! it made me laugh so hard
the double date scene was written so well. i felt the awkwardness of dinner, but seokjin’s character was so perfect. the way he made oc comfortable during dinner with his calm demeanor and light conversation made my heart melt to pieces
I was screaming!!! at the part where hoseok mentioned seokjin and oc being together. it was an honest mistake to assume they were together. you can hear hoseok’s hesitation to mention that they made sense. the amount of times my heart hurt for them :(

but a part of me felt like all was right in the world when hoseok told her to leave when oc came to his rescue. yes hoseok!! you tell her!!! the smut was so hot ahhh. the desperation and neediness was soo hot omg we love dom hoseok in this house

this!!!! story!!! it was one of the first fics i read. i easily go back to it when i want a good read. it has a great storyline and all the characters have their unique personality. it’s not a secret that elle is an amazing writer, so i’ll dive into my favorite parts!!! i’m so sorry it’s long.
episode one:
immediately the introductory scene of hyeri and jiyeon - the way the conversation in the car already sets the tone. like i’m already hooked and want to know what about hot stepbrother yoongi??? it feels like a dirty secret and i am squealing with excitement
“I don’t think you’re a little freak for wanting to screw your step brother’s brains out!
THAT LINE!! i laughed so loud. the sarcasm is perfectly laced with reassurance
taehyung’s lil stunt on the lift was the type of chaotic good that oc and hoseok needed to get closer and i'm all for it.
i really liked how after hoseok and oc’s scene in the lift, you get yoongi’s perspective of it. the transition in perspective really allowed me to get both hoseok and yoongi’s side without breaking my engagement of the story.
again, taehyung’s unintentional chaotic good that forced oc to stay in the same room as yoongi. beautifully written! he really is the star of this episode
phew, who knew fingering could be so hot. and how yoongi suggests to jerk himself off makes it seem like he was really doing it for her pleasure. a gentlemen.
episode two:
omg the bathroom scene. so so so hot. hills!hoseok really is gods (elles) gift to us. and when he mentions the being friends part, i really lost it.
but the second-hand embarrassment i felt when they came out and all their friends heard them!!!! i felt red and it’s not even me experiencing it!
Finally, he blurts out, “Also! FUN FACT! Lots of movement inside the gondola has 34.9% chance of detaching the gondola from the wires! I know it doesn’t sound like a high percent chance but anything could happen! Please be safe!”

& then yoongi mentions the summer incident!! second-hand embarrassment #2. but when he mentions it, it almost feels like the intention changes from ‘are you sure’ to ‘wait are you waiting for’ and i’m living for it. the smut is so dirty, so good. it tiptoes the line of danger and primal at the same time. idk how oc got through it without cumming sooner.
elle takes smut to another level by including the video call with hoseok. again, how did oc not cum sooner?! the domineering aura yoongi has is so hot.. and how hoseok lowkey liked it? wow ok. *jac.exe has stopped working*
episode three:
the fact that hoseok gave oc this limited edition book without any conditions, but simply because he felt like she deserved it, really showcase how genuine his feelings for her are. you get an insight into the history of their relationship and how complex it is.
but that threesome was unexpected and entirely welcomed. no thoughts, head empty.
at the beginning of the smut, hoseok and yoongi clearly showed their disdain for each other. but towards the end, it was like they were working together to give oc the best experience. i really like how that turned out. at the end of the day, the purpose of the threesome was really to please her.
yoongi’s gift to her :( my heart really broke with how thoughtful it was. hoseok and yoongi both really care for oc.
the ending though!!!!!!!!! i screamed!!! oc’s luck, huh

I read this a while back and have not been able to stop thinking about it since!! This is such a well-written story, with a unique twist on the arranged marriage hybrid-esque trope (the author does not identify the story as such). I really felt empathetic to Y/N and the choices she made. There were times I was like, ‘yeah I totally would’ve done the same thing’. Especially in the beginning when she pointed out how manipulative Elder Choi was being. She logically thought it through and used the situation to her advantage. I love how realistic and raw her emotions were portrayed throughout the story.
I squealed so fucking loud at how CUTE they were being when they were finding salve material for Y/N’s blisters. Like, the interaction seemed so subtle, but I found it to be so perfect. What a cute ice breaker moment for them. It really helped set the tone for the smut on the second day.
The built-up sexual tension made the copulation ceremony that much more special. It was perfect!! I love how they were saving the penetration for the ceremony. The scene was writing as if there was so much euphoria happening. It was like a perfect ending to their story. I’m a complete sucker for happy endings and this was so perfect.

I am in awe of how this was written. I won’t spoil it, but firstly, I enjoyed how it was sectioned. In some ways, it really added character to the slow burn of the story. Like, it was enticing to read bc I felt like I was on the ride with them. Within each section, I loved how the difference between real life and movie-like dating was mentioned bc dating irl is soooo much more than just let’s go on a perfect date and bone afterward. Then how he wanted her to also experience the cliches of dating made me really bust a fat uwu, like the hanging up the phone thing. Not only does this fic portray honest communication between them, but has a hot smut scene. There’s something so hot about how careful he was with oc, i.e. the constant praises and the ‘let-me-teach-you’ moments.
In conclusion, thank you for writing this piece and blessing us in the process.
