he can't help rolling his eyes and sighing at the attempt at buttering him up, but he knows when venti is toying with him, and this time doesn't seem to be the case.

he sighs and steps closer to venti. cupping the bard's cheeks, he guides the shorter male as he leans down, pressing their lips together in a slow but meaningful kiss.

he pulls back moments later, giving venti's cheeks a gentle stroke of his thumbs before he finally breaks away entirely.

The bard tilted his head slightly and offered him a small smile. What else could he possibly say to the confrontation? His cheeks were burning, but he could do nothing about it now. He owned up to it, though he wasn't  sure about how Diluc would react. Would he take this as some joke or  would he realize Venti meant every word.

he holds the other over his shoulder as he slows his escape to the winery, "don't want that menace to society to ruin you." he tells him. not to mention, he knows full well venti's habit of stealing everyone's son and gifting them anemo visions, and nope, he will not stand for this. nico is his son.

WOULD THIS COUNT AS A KIDNAPPING — maybe not, considering Diluc was his legal guardian ( father in most definitions of the word, really ) but that didn't cause any less confusion at being picked up ( quite literally ) considering there was no reason for it to be necessary. He would have followed if he'd been asked to. ❝What is this about?❞ Nothing was wrong, surely, or at least he hoped not.

it's an honest observation, one that many tend to make, but diluc can't help but snort. he covers his mouth as he regains his composure, then he clears his throat.

"not to be arrogant, but believe me, barbatos doesn't bless the wine." 'he just drinks it all' he mutters under his breath. it's a sweet sentiment from those who look up to the anemo god, but diluc knows very well that 'barbatos' isn't responsible for the wines' fame.

      "They say the wine within Mondstadt is one of the best within Teyvat as it's favoured and even potentially blessed by their own 'God'." Favoured? Something he knew. Barbatos always did love to have a drink or ten. But blessing the wine? Highly unlikely.
