diluc's mother, esperanza (witch of the moon), was one of the members of the hexenzirkel and close friends with alice. she studied magic at the age of fifteen and was inducted into the circle when she moved from natlan to mondstadt, long before she met crepus. diluc is not fully aware of her ties.

fashion / beauty headcanons —

wears ribbons and bows around his ponytails, usually in black

has wildly curly hair so he has to have a high rigorous maintenance routine it

loads his hair with products to keep it from floofing out

washes and braids his hair before bed so it's not a tangled mess in the morning

will let the klee braid his hair if she asked

hairstyles: ponytails (high & low), pigtails (low, resting on shoulders), buns, braids, half ponytails

wears dresses around the winery (sundresses) for particularly warm days. will sometimes wear fancy cocktail dresses to events

doesn't wear makeup but will put on lipbalm, cream and occasionally sunscreen when he's working out in the winery for the day

showers every night, some for hygiene, some just to relax from a long day

will take a bath if he's too stressed

uses products with coconut oil (hair) and aloe (skin) to lock in moisture

doesn't wear much jewelry beyond his vision and his cravat

when kaeya was a kid his most exacerbated reaction to getting hurt was a very pointed "ow" and one tear at most. meanwhile when diluc got hurt he would wail and sob and sniffle around all day afterwards. and yknow what i think that their essence hasn't changed now that they're adults. kaeya who says "this doesn't.. look good.." when he dies in game and diluc who says "my flame.....has been..extinguished....." like okay. we still know who's the most dramatic out of the two

🌙 — cyno telling a joke in the angel's share, and it's dead quiet until you hear a snort and chuckle. everyone turning to see diluc snickering to himself because the way cyno delivers his jokes tickled something in diluc's brain. diluc realizing this, diverts everyone's attention and then disappears out of embarrassment for another 4 years the next day

🌙 — finally meeting scaramouche for the first time and noticing the delusions look identical to visions, thinking about how crepus' delusion was on a glove which leads me to believe that the reason they look so different now is because he had a prototype, which explains why it not only backfired on him but also that he's a harbinger like I've been theorizing because why would the fatui hand out prototypes to the public. no one else had delusions but the fatui.

this is just a long-winded way of me saying crepus on this blog was the mysterious tenth harbinger but went on hiatus when he started a family.

a pro and a con ^_^

pro:

diluc's love language is gifts and acts of service. he wants his lover to feel appreciated and even spoiled. granted he won't simply drop thousands of mora on his partner, but he'll give gifts that comes from the heart or things that his partner likes and wanted. he's very observant so he knows everything about his significant other, so he likes to surprise them.

con:

he's a very a busy person. not to say he'll ignore his lover or spend time with them, but there are times where he can't predict if he'll have a hectic schedule, and he'll be swept away with matters involving the winery, or his vigilante duties, so there's a good chance he won't be around often

diluc was terrified of the dark as a child. literally couldn't go to bed in complete darkness or silence

because he's part phoenix, his bird-like tendencies leak through. so he will feel compelled to snatch up anything that's shiny

no surprise to anyone but he has beef with tartaglia regardless of whether or not he's a harbinger himself. he finds him lowkey obnoxious, not to mention, tartaglia is hydro so his displeasure also hinges on that. he does admire tartaglia's fighting skills, but he just can't stand his attitude

diluc essentially takes over his father's spot as the tenth harbinger
