So!!!! What do we know about this prison? It’s nearly impossible to escape from given the incredibly complex system (we appreciate Sam in this house) that it’s apart of. We’re talking:

Teleporting guards

A card system 

A sole portal exit/entrance 

Miner fatigued obsidian blocks 

And probably even more

It’s been said that this prison was made for someone really capable, which has led a lot of people to think it could be for Techno, Philza, or even Dream himself. 

But, thinking about it, what has been Dream’s priority lately?  Tommy. 

Making sure he has control over Tommy.  Tommy’s been in exile for a bit more than a week now and undoubtedly the person who’s kept him company the most would be Dream, and it shows. Tommy’s aggressive, confident exterior has sort of melted away since Dream’s been there. He went from adamantly fighting back against Dream burning his things to willingly giving his armor to him before even being asked.  When Tommy was saying he didn’t have any friends left, Dream popped in saying how he was still there.  When Tommy had his beach party, Dream was the only person to show up, making Tommy even trust him even more.  But why put in all the effort?

okay is no one gonna talk about the “my fate is already decided” line from their mcc streams at the end????? like not only is that SUPER CONCERNING FOR THE STORY LINE, but it might be a reveal of what’s going to happen next?

his fate is decided in death according to his words, but he continues to say he doesn’t have much time left, that he doesn’t have long before he dies. c!tommy knows he’s going to die, and he knows how, but it’s unclear if he wants to continue to be the hero of the story and die like one (haha techno), or end his pain and become a martyr for lmanburg to fight back against what dream had done to tommy.

both tommy and tubbo declared in their mcc streams today that it was going to be their last one together for a WHILE. and personally i think this is concerning because the minute wilbur died and became a ghost, his perspective was lost to us (he hasn’t streamed on the smp since his last canonical death). it was like his eyes of the situation didn’t matter anymore because he would never be directly affected by it. if tommy dies, we don’t know if the same thing will happen to him. will his ghost be able to still share his perspective, or are we going to end up in the same situation with wilbur?

his death according to him is already declared, but i’m very curious to see how he’ll decide to go out. will he stick to his morals and save someone, or will he not be strong enough to continue and become a martyr? i’m really excited to find out (not in a weird way the arc is vv serious) what happens next, and how he’ll deal further in the situation :)

i don’t think it’s really about the run being taken down tbh (like come ON. 14th place? not worth).

if i were called a cheater and then with no warning from the mods of the discord to be prepared for any backlash, have a 30 page potentially biased paper (purely from their usage of pronouns like we, you, us, etc that is frowned upon for statistical analysis papers they claimed it was, i can’t do math so i’m looking purely on the written side of things) and a video posted about me, i would be pissed as well.

the entire conduct of the mod and verifier teams throughout this ordeal has been questionable, but both sides have been increasingly childish and need to behave like the adults i assume they are

i don’t think dream has a motive to cheat because he has a huge standing in social media and is basically minecraft king right now, so i’m siding with him for now because there is no undeniable proof of the cheating despite the fact he literally live-streamed the run, but i’m subject to change my opinion if further evidence comes about :)

I was specifically referring to the post you made saying that you're in the speedrunning Discord and the people there don't like Dream. I'm in it as well (I don't talk there though) and I very much agree that they don't like him. Tbh I don't have a super super solid opinion yet, but I lean towards defending him because I don't think there is enough info to concretely say he cheated. Kinda an innocent until proven guilty thing I guess.

i agree! i think people jumped on the information way too quick. the evidence looks damning because of the numbers, but those numbers were put forward by the opposite “side” to dream (calling them sides purely based on the clear division between groups).

i think it’s important to wait for whatever dream puts out because he’ll either prove himself right and the mods wrong, or vice versa. i can’t say anything in the actual math because i’m shit at math, but i definitely know that we shouldn’t only be considering data from one source, and should wait to see what other data will surface with dream’s rebuttal.

the numbers by the mods could be completely right or wrong, the thing is that we don’t know, and everyone just assumed the numbers were absolutely and irrevocably correct.

math can be wrong sometimes, (this next part is not including the mods and verifiers who worked on the investigation, obviously they know the statistics and math, but mistakes can happen which is why we always check and take from more than one source!) but the people saying it’s right often don’t know the math going behind stats and are simply agreeing because stats hold such a high damnability to a situation.

we need to sit on this one because we don’t actually know, but innocent until proven guilty is very important, and when i only have one side of the story, i cannot make an informed and objective choice in the debate :)

yeah sure, i don’t mind!! which post exactly are you referring to? i like having proper discussions about things, and i’m not decided on the situation yet because there’s still info to be taken. so if you have things to add or just want to vent about it that’s completely fine :)
