Mine too. I joke about it being shiny and shallow; being all about pretty, middle-aged, emotionally-constipated, fictional men and their silly stories, but it's so much more important than that to have a fun and stress-free space in our lives - so important that we don't homogenize our life spaces to the point where we can't take a step back, a step outside the anger and horrors, to rest and regain perspective and energy for doing the stuff that matters. Mental code-switching. Giving our adrenal gland a few hours to calm the eff down.

Eat. Sleep. Relax. Recharge. Enjoy what there is to enjoy about life. Then get up and fight the good fights as well, using the energy, perspective, ideas, and mental clarity re/gained while doing the other stuff.

The most Real Life this blog ever gets is when a fellow fan needs a Real Life helping hand. We're good at that.

I am actually begging some people to just let some spaces exist untouched by real-world issues and horrors.

Like I've lost count of the amount of times peaceful game or fandom servers have been ruined by people stampeding in with political rants, bitching about world issues, demanding internal activism, demanding vent channels so they can whine about their shitty parents, ect.

Like. Respectfully. Not every single space has to be inclusive of and welcoming of outside topics. The real world sucks. We don't needed to be reminded of that absolutely everywhere.
