Here me out somebody needs to make the Sexy Fish meme like the one Irunaki did with Sirenelope but with Athena and the Siren >:)

Someone feed me more Athena X Siren lady content because honestly it may just persuade me to make it canon. It's getting there... I'm adoring the sillies people have thought for it so far, I never gave them too much thought but seeing people do so is giving me so much inspiration :3!!!

SLAMS ON TABLE I HAVE MORE OF THE SILLIES! TAKE IT! This is just a quick lil doodle I did of these two. I imagine Ody is somewhere nearby and when he realizes what's happening he'll probably try to shoo off the siren lol

Now, please. I beg of you! MAKE THEM CANON! I NEED TO SEE MORE OF THE SILLIES! THE SILLIES GIVE ME LIFE! (Also I just want to draw more sirens and Athena and this gives me a huge reason too)

oh, don't mind me. Just thinking about how Percy canonically used nature magic even though that shouldn't have been possible for a normal demigod. (in the lightning thief on gabe, I swear)

oh don't mind me, i'm just thinking about how Sally seems to get younger when she's near the sea and her eyes change colors as well.

oh don't mind me, i'm just thinking about how Percy described the sea nymph his father sent to talk to him as looking exactly like his mother.

oh don't mind me, i'm just thinking about how Percy is part sea nymph and nobody fucking noticed.

EDIT: no I don't think sally is a full blooded sea nymph I still think she is more human than mythological creature. I just think it might explain a few things

I have some very specific thoughts about the Wisdom Saga to share:

On the very first listen I was like "hm idk about this, it's different and idk how I feel about it yet" bc quite frankly it's not just new, it's modern. The addition of video game mechanics in Little Wolf, the use of the words "tramp" and "champ" in Legendary, "Splendid" in We'll be Fine- it's all closer to the way we speak than Odysseus.

But here's why I think this choice is so interesting; there was a study I read about people who leave their home country and live somewhere that doesn't speak their home language. The results showed that for those people, their language and vocabulary is sort of stuck in the time that they left. They don't develop variations, or the new slang that gets incorporated, and so people who move home after many years away are then seen as speaking sort of archaically.

This means that Odysseus for the past TWENTY YEARS has only had the same linguistic patterns between him and his men, whereas Telemachus has been developing his language along with his country his whole life. Twenty years is a long time, especially where technology and language is concerned (video game mechanics and "that is so sick!") which is why it felt so different on the first listen.

I love this so much been working non-stop since yesterday on an OC!

2K followers on tumblr and 30K subscribers on YouTube! In celebration, here’s my story. Not a rewrite. This is all a work in progress and subject to change.

Being a HEMA fencer, I’ve wanted a story semi-based on actual swordsmanship and actual fencing techniques.. but fantasy.

It’s a story like… Spiderverse meets Steven Universe meets Owl House meets She-Ra.

It’s called

The Knight’s Handbook

——————

It’s modern Earth but there are supernatural people who protect it like guardian angels called Knights: Humans who’ve died via sacrificing themselves for someone else, and have been revived (not by choice). They protect humans from things as small as tripping over to protecting them from demons, dragons and other dangerous entities.

A Knight can pull their weapon from a magical, glowing scar called their Mortal Wound, the injury they acquired and a sign of the end of their mortality, like how SU Gems can pull their weapons from their gems. A Knight’s weapon can be anything including guns and crossbows, but these shoot magic/energy bullets or arrows.

Knights have their own realm to go to just for each other, (Gallantia) but can live on Earth hiding as normal humans if they wish (so long as they hide the magic scar!)

They function a bit like bees in that there is a Queen, chosen instantly when someone dies by sacrifice according to ‘qualifications of their soul’ (So not completely random like other Knights). Of course, this only happens when the former Queen is killed. Never have there been two Queen Knights at once, so written history goes. Like bees, that would create a huge issue!

Here is the main character and the main antagonist. For the first time apparently ever, there are Two Queen Knights. A mistake of nature, perhaps?

Sidra Saiffudeen

Our main enby is Sidra, she/they. A normal teen turned Queen Knight chosen right after her death, impaled through the chest (where you can see her Mortal Wound symbol) by saving her father. Her design is based on a bee! Not all Knights’ designs are, but I thought I’d lean into Queen Bee stuff.

2K Followers On Tumblr And 30K Subscribers On YouTube! In Celebration, Heres My Story. Not A Rewrite.

She’s the ‘Acknowledged’ Queen. Most Knights, ones in support of the past Queen who just died (it’s a mournful period), back Sidra, but think she’s a bit immature. Sidra adores her new people though and vows to be a good Queen. Knight Queens don’t just sit back like Earth Royalty, they’re the most powerful and therefore in battle a lot. The past Queens tended to be adults (The Captain of the Royal Guard was in love with the past Queen (sapphics >:) ) and so having Sidra around is painful but they do their best to teach her.

2K Followers On Tumblr And 30K Subscribers On YouTube! In Celebration, Heres My Story. Not A Rewrite.

Then there’s Juliana Fontana, always called Jules. She… is also a Queen Knight. You can tell this because a Queen’s mortal wound symbol is always the same as the Knight Symbol, a sword. Some Knights went traitor to back Jules rather than Sidra. Jules is a very very tired and sneaky girl, but more academically intelligent than Sidra. She’d be a very different Queen, and that’s why the Knights that took her side did so! She hasn’t figured out how to access her weapon or knight form.

The twist? They haven’t seen each other for a long long time… but Sidra and Jules know each other.

Info on Weapons, Mortal Wounds and Knight Forms.

Lastly, The Title’s “The Knight’s Handbook”… what are Knight Handbooks?

2K Followers On Tumblr And 30K Subscribers On YouTube! In Celebration, Heres My Story. Not A Rewrite.

Well, for Knights, along with a weapon you can pull from your Mortal Wound, you also have your Handbook! Every Knight has a Handbook with their symbol on it. Like I said, Queen Knights don’t get their own unique personalised symbol, rather they get the default symbol representing all Knights as a species (unfortunate!).

Every Handbook is personalised except for the first couple pages and chapters. The first few pages *always* contain The Rules of Knighthood. One of which is that there Cannot Be Two Queens. But… have these Handbooks with their strict rules on who your friends and enemies are and what you can or cannot do always been a part of the Knights? Or did someone *write* these books for their own purposes? Control?

Handbooks also contain info on how to fight/fence, how to defeat certain entities, anatomy, etc (I’ll figure out more). But, Handbooks also serve as phones! You write something in your handbook for someone else and your writings will appear in *their* handbook! Not sure, but I imagine handbooks can also be used as little sketch hologram projectors (you sketch a map for example or a plan and project it into the air using your book.)

Sidra and Jules may have this giant plot going on around them because they happen to be Queens, but that doesn’t mean they’re not teenagers who want to have fun. A lot of Knights are kids and teenagers and still have their senses of fun, much to the dismay of the serious adult Knights. But they’re all immortal so they’ve got plenty of time to grow up before they hit an age to stop. Being a Knight is tough and scary cause you *could* die at any time in a fight, so adult Knights tend to protect the teens from going out before they’ve trained properly. Queens are not afforded such a luxury and besides, a lot of teen Knights are totally reckless regardless of what the adults say!

So yeah!

That’s an intro to The Knight’s Handbook. I’d love for people to join in like they did with GunnTech and make their own Knights for this, if you feel inspired. It’s kinda like a DTIYS but instead of Draw This In Your Style, it’s… Draw Your Sona for this concept? Working title… /j If you wanna do something, I suppose tag it with “The Knight’s Handbook” with the apostrophe and whatnot, but I do not expect anything, you guys already do so so much 🧡.

Any art or ocs of The Knight’s Handbook will definitely be featured on my next YT vid and I’ll be reblogging (Plus I would love to draw you guys’ ocs, and basically consider them canon since there’s an infinite number of Knights in TKH!)

Thank you for all your support, guys!

Another sketch of Domitius. This time it's another sketch of his spatha and a sketch of his casual outfit. His spatha has his name engraved in the ancient Greek alphabet. Sorry for the freaky bird because I have no idea how to draw birds. Also, this man is a zookeeper now and I love him even more for that lol. But yeah he is kitted out with pockets and pouches for animal snacks and now in modern times spends his free time as an actual zookeeper, or at least a volunteer at a zoo. He loves all the animals he takes care of VERY much.

VERY VERY Rough Sketch Of Domitius

VERY VERY rough sketch of Domitius

As you can see it is a very wonky sketch that I first did on a whiteboard and then traced over and added detail digitally.

But I decided on a few things for his design

1: I decided to go with this style of bronze helmet for him

2: Decided to make bear and rhino designs on his chest plate because those were commonly used in gladiatorial battles.

3: Gave him little snakes on his helmet because I thought it looked cool and went with his animal theme.

4: Drew his spatha with both the wolf and elephant ornaments still happy with this idea.

5: I LOVE the way his pauldrons came out and the lion and tiger designs for both are very simple rn but it gets the idea across.

6: Loving his cape rn, it means I don't have to draw his other arm!!!

So I've Worked Out More Details For Domitius, Above Is A Sketch Of Some Ideas For His Mark And Weapon,
So I've Worked Out More Details For Domitius, Above Is A Sketch Of Some Ideas For His Mark And Weapon,

So I've worked out more details for Domitius, Above is a sketch of some ideas for his mark and weapon, and the other is a basic render of his outfit with pictures from Google and notes.

Backstory:

Before he was imprisoned and forced to become a gladiator he was a horse breeder and before that a soldier. He was specifically an Equites soldier and that is where he learned to use his Spatha as horseback cavalry. After being injured in battle he was discharged from the military and given a small farm. Because of the atrocities he was forced to commit as a soldier he became a pacifist and began breeding horses on his new farm. At first, he only bred workhorses for other farmers and for the occasional merchant but eventually, the Roman Empire soon came knocking.  He was to begin breeding war horses as he was a well-known skilled breeder at this point. He reluctantly agreed not having much of a choice. He felt extremely guilty every time he sent one of his beloved horses off to war knowing they would likely die. After a few years of doing this for the Empire, he decided he had had enough. He couldn't do it anymore. Couldn't send another horse to die. And so he refused to breed another horse for the Roman Empire. The emperor did not take kindly to this and sent his men to capture him. When they couldn't convince him to breed more horses he was imprisoned for disobeying the empire. He was sold as a gladiator slave and then went on to the Colosseum

Outfit and Gear:

He is equipped with a Spatha as his summoned weapon.

His general outfit would consist of a classic gladiator helmet and a gold Cuirass with a galloping horse on the center of his chest. He also has a bad(gr)ass cape for sure. He would of course have some Greaves to protect his legs with leopard engraving on them. He has big Gold Pauldrons with a lion on his right shoulder and a tiger on the left. Nothing special with his shoes just Roman war shoes.

Mark:

His killing blow was dealt by another gladiator and it was a spear to the heart. So his wolf Mark is on his chest directly on top of his heart.

Powers:

As a knight, he gained the ability to speak to animals. This doesn't guarantee that they will listen or obey him but it makes it easier for him to persuade them to help him. He cannot talk to magical creatures only wild “real” ( real as in they exist IRL) animals so lions, elephants, gorillas, etc.

He also has a minor ability to summon treats for his pets basically he has a magical infinite supply of scooby-snacks lol

My TKH OC?

So no art yet since I can't really draw people

BUT that aside I had an idea for a character since you said that people could become knights via saving animals. Basically, Domitius is an older knight who in life was a Roman gladiator. In the Colosseum, he refused to kill any of the beasts and people he was pitted against and was like a beastmaster (Is that the term?) who could basically tame any animal in the wring. He would basically sway any animal in the ring to protect him by feeding them and such (He always had snacks since most of the animals were starved) so any other gladiators in the ring would be attacked by them. If they tried to attack him he would also protect any animal in the ring that was the only time he killed others. After a while, he was killed by the emperor who grew bored of him since he was a pacifist. But by doing so the beasts that were in the wring with him were spared.

His name also means "Having been tamed" "according to some website I found don't quote me on this lol not the most accurate source. I'll look into it more I swear) In reference to the animals he tames.

Basically, his death would have went down like this:

Emperor: "You are just so boring now Domitius. The same old "No I won't kill" every time! I want BLOODSHED! I want something new! It is time for you to go Domitius..."

Emporer: Dramatic thumbs down like in like in Gladiator

Crowd: gasp

Domitius: Shoos off the animals that were protecting him in the arena "Go! Save yourselves. It is my time, my friends. I No longer need your protection" The wolves whine at him. "GO! You must leave me!" The animals reluctantly slink away.

The other gladiators begin to close in on him at the emperor's command and Domitius accepts his fate to save his dear animals from being killed that day. The animals watch sadly as their protect dies but listen to him still.

Then he gets revived as a knight and actually saves his animals or something IDK lol

Still need to work out the details and stuff for him like his mark. But I wanted to get my thoughts down and share his story. Suggestions are welcome and appreciated :D

God Games. Hephastus part

Hes working on something, facing away from Athena. Gets frustrated. Throws it behind him. Athena catches it during her part, fiddles with it a bit, turns it upside down, BAM, it's a lifelike mechanical owl that flutters its wings and cocks its head. Hephaestus takes it back.

"Fine. Release him"

Hephaestus then has that owl on his shoulder at the end in the background of Athena and Zeus fight.

Can we have this please weekend im begging u. Tag anyone who could make this into a wipe or animatic.

Please.

lol I love this

Imagine this.

You’re chilling in your room, probably messing around on your guitar when your dad calls you into the living room.

When you get there you see a number of your family members - mostly your annoying half-siblings but a few more distant realizes, all gathered around arguing. Your dad turns to you and says “your sisters’s best friend is stranded and she wants to go pick him up”

You pause because what? You sister doesn’t really do friends, and you’re pretty sure she broke contract with her last so-called bestie. But sure whatever, you’ve never met the dude.

“And?” You prompt because you could working on a new song right now.

“What are your thoughts?” Your dad asks and oh shit- you don’t even remember this guy’s name and now you have to have an opinion on him???

You’re Apollo from epic the musical btw

DAMN. This is an amazing breakdown that just makes Polites make sense. It never made sense when people would say "Oh he's saying become a pacifist" in Open Arms because he is a literal SOLDIER and he just came from a WAR. Like what?! If he was a pacifist he wouldn't have gone to war in the first place.

But this just makes his whole philosophy make SO MUCH SENSE! He is willing to fight and be violent but he just doesn't expect to have to ALL THE TIME. He gets that there are dangers out there but he also understands that's not always the case.

So is the fandom at large still characterizing "Open Arms" as the ~pacifism~ song or have we gotten past that?

Like, I don't know how keen Polites was for violence as a soldier in the Trojan war, since we meet him after the fact & lose him soon after.

But "Open Arms" doesn't tell us about his capacity for violence. It barely tells us about his thoughts on violence as an option.

The most we can infer from "Full Speed Ahead" and "Open Arms" is that Polites doesn't believe violence is the only option (or the one they should jump to first.)

But that's not even what "Open Arms" is about (not really)

"Open Arms" is about Polites noticing Odysseus' trauma & trying to help his friend heal.

The first lines of the song are:

"I can tell you're getting nervous, so do yourself a service"

Here "nervous" isn't being used to mean "scared" but rather "anxious" or "tense." I think Polites is calling out the fact that Odysseus is going 'fight or flight' mode despite everything being calm/no threat in sight.

He then tells Odysseus to have hope.

"Think of all that we have been through, we'll survive what we get in to"

He then starts to call out Odysseus a bit more explicitly (and notice how Odysseus does not contradict him. After his first [and unconvincing imo] "I"m fine, Polites" Odysseus doesn't speak again until the lotus-eaters show up)

(Btw, if you wanna read my breakdown of Polites & Odysseus' relationship [as explicitly depicted in EPIC], I wrote a post about it here)

"I know that you're tired of the war & bloodshed" <-We the audience also know this: "Will these actions haunt my days/is the price I pay endless pain?" (Plus killing Astyanax messed him up)

"Tell me, is this how we're supposed to live?" <- Must we remain in that kill/be killed mindset, always on alert, always warriors first, men second?

"Look at how you grip your sword, enough said" <- I think we can infer that Polites is either calling out the fact that Odysseus hasn't let go of his sword since they left the ship (aka always in 'warrior mode' aka "is this how we're supposed to live?") OR that Odysseus is white-knuckling his sword, (aka he is nervous/ anxious/stressed about a potential attack despite no visible threats)

Either way, in Polites' eyes, this mentality is detrimental to his friends' mental and/or emotional health.

Then we get to the point where I think the misunderstanding started & ended up overshadowing the rest of the song:

"You can show a person that you trust them, when you stop and lower your guard" <- I think we can take this literally (lower your sword until you actually have need of it) or figuratively (be ~emotionally~ vulnerable by asking for help.)

"This life is amazing, when you greet it with open arms" <- It doesn't have to be "endless pain" Life can be beautiful, but you have to stop closing yourself off/seeing everything as a threat first

Polites is arguing that the world is not always out to get you. Sometimes people are decent. Sometimes they are willing (or want) to help you.

It's a bit of "Try extending your hand in greeting before reaching for your sword" (Not everyone will be friendly, but you won't know if you are aggressive from the get-go.)

And a bit "Life is what you make of it" (if Ody treats every stranger like an enemy, then that is what they'll be.)

"We'll be fine if we're leading from the heart" I talk a bit about this in my response here. TLDR; Odysseus is lying to himself when he says he can "Lead from the heart & see what starts" in "Luck Runs Out" because that is not what he is doing,(and his reward is the windbag betrayal) MEANWHILE he does successfully "lead from the heart" while warding off Circe's advances & it's what saves his men/gains Circe's sympathy.

"No matter the place, we can light up the world, here's how to start" <- Again, life is what you make of it. You can make it a good one; not everything is an enemy/potential threat. Stop being a warrior first & go back to being a man

Of course, this doesnt immediately work, because Odysseus greets the world with his sword when the lotus-eaters show up

(Tbh, I find it hilarious that the lotus-eaters' FIRST word is "Welcome" and Odysseus responds to a Friendly Greeting by drawing his sword)

Like, Odysseus is genuinely seeing a threat here, he IS scared "nervous"

His first words to the lotus-eaters is a demand/warning for them to "stay back" (and both their cute voices [going off audio only] or their canonical fluffy designs tell us these are tiny things. They have no weapons, they haven't indicated any aggression, but Odysseus is so high-strung he sees something he might need to fight anyways)

THIS is what Polites has been refering to. THIS is why he's so concerned about his friend. That is not healthy and Odysseus is buckling under the weight of living in "survival" mode/always being "on"

"My friend, greet the world with open arms" <- this isnt Polites horrified Odysseus is responding with aggression/concerned for the innocent lotus-eaters, THIS is Polites (knowing Odysseus is tired of war & bloodshed) reminding his friend that he doesn't have to put himself through this. There IS another way. These creatures could be friendly, "Maybe they'll share some food, who knows?" Maybe, maybe not, but they won't know until they extend a hand first & ask.

And Odysseus does it by half measures *cough* just like all his actions after "Just a Man"*cough*

He lets the lotus-eaters know of their plight "We're only here for food" and threatens them in the next breath "600 men are waiting/stay back, I'm warning you/my men will turn this place into blazes"

He doesn't even ask for food/help, he simply lets the lotus-eaters know they're searching for food, then immediately piles on three additional threats to make sure they don't try anything.

Then of course the lotus-eaters offer food, but not food they can eat & Odysseus becomes dejected (which I think implies he was [sorta] listening to Polites, or at the very least, is so tired/stressed/wrung-out that he was secretly hoping it could be as easy as Polites claims.)

And Polites tries one more time.

"I'd like to show my friend that kindness is brave" <- I've seen so many people call Polites naive. That his optimism is too extreme/and not fit for the world (or at least the world of EPIC) but i would disagree with this common interpretation as well.

Why is kindness brave? If Polites believed greeting the world with open arms would help them find ONLY friendly strangers (instead of hostile ones or outright foes) then why would kindness be brave. Wouldn't it simply be? After all, what's brave about a sure thing? What's brave about having a get-out-of-danger-free card?

Kindness is brave because sometimes you WILL be met with hostile strangers/foes. But you extend your hand in peace first anyways. You don't know for certain if you will be met with friend or foe. But that does not mean you walk around, one hand on your sword, seeing enemies at every turn. You greet the world with open arms & give strangers the benefit of the doubt first, THEN use force if necessary.

I see Polites' philosophy as similar to Waymond's from EEAAO in that regard.

So Is The Fandom At Large Still Characterizing "Open Arms" As The ~pacifism~ Song Or Have We Gotten Past

Polites, like Waymond, is choosing kindness. Is choosing to be optimistic. Not because he is naive to the ways of the world, but in spite of them. That is how Polites fights against darkness & despair. He is not naive.

When Polites tells the lotus eaters he'd "Like to show my friend that kindness is brave" he knows he's taking a risk. That's why it's brave. He is extending his trust to these creatures in the hopes they'll help/they have no ill intent, BUT being Well Aware he could be met with the latter.

Just because he's optimistic about the outcome doesn't mean he doesnt understand the risk. To refuse to dwell on the negative doesn't mean you're unaware of negative possibilities.

Then Polites reiterates his advice "This life is amazing, when you greet it with open arms" because it doesn't have to all be war & bloodshed & stress. You CAN find goodness in the world, and you'll feel much better if you don't assume everyone & everything is out to get you. And he lets Ody know he's aware of what he's going through/what's upsetting him.

"I seen in your face there is so much guilt inside your heart" <- I genuinely don't know if the crew know Odysseus dropped Astyanax, every time Odysseus references the infant, it's vaguely or as an aside. But even if Polites DOESN'T know Odysseus killed an infant, he still has 10 years of war to draw from (plus the wooden horse/killing sleeping Trojans bit.) Like, Polites is aware of what Odyssues has done, he knows what Odysseus is grappling with. This is not a simple/superficial/naive call for Odysseus to 'cheer up!' Polites knows of the darkness weighing on Odysseus' shoulders & he's telling Odysseus he's allowed to put it behind him.

"So why not replace it, and light up the world" <- He's allowed. It's over. It's behind them. Polites does not want his friend to torment himself forever. Whatever he did, he can move on. He can be a better man that what he was forced to become while at war/Troy (remember, Polites is well aware Odysseus is "tired of the war and bloodshed".)

And how can Odysseus begin to heal from his guit/trauma?

"Greet the world with open arms" <- stop seeing every stranger as a potential enemy/threat. Open yourself up to the possibility that good things happen sometimes. Sometimes, people are kind

"Greet the world with open arms" <- and Odysseus begins to tentatively open himself up to the concept & take Polites' words to heart

"You can relax, my friend" <- you're allowed

Sidenote: I told myself this post would ONLY be about Open Arms (and this ended up being SO Much longer than I anticipated) but I have a few more things to say, so I'll try to be brief.

Warrior of the Mind:

I'm convinced Athena pops in when she does because Odysseus is listening to Polites. He's been eaten by guilt since Astyanax & shyed away from violence in Full Speed Ahead. His nervousness is not very "warrior of the mind" of him. YET Athena doesn't come in to scold Odysseus at any of these points.

It's only when Odysseus sings Polites' chorus back to him, signaling he's opening himself up to the concept of open arms that Athena makes her entrance.

Polyphemus:

I'm not asserting this, but I think the argument can be made that Odysseus checks out the cave because of Polites. Like, either:

A.) He's giving Polites' advice a try here & now by trusting the lotus eaters/that they mean no ill-intent OR

B.) (less likely probaby??) His friendship/affection for Polites is the sort where he wants to please him. Polites is set on trusting the lotus/showing Odyssues "another way" & Odysseus will humor him because it's Polites asking

(Tho obviously the other explanation is that they are just THAT desperate for food & Odysseus doesn't think they have time to go searching for yet another island when this one (the lotus eater one) already turned out to be a bust

Underworld:

I feel like the general consensus for Polites' section of "Underworld" is that Polites died still seeing/believing in the good of the world OR that his dying wish was for Odysseus to chose nonviolence/pacifism???

(But as you can tell from *gestures at this entire post* I don't subscribe to the idea that "Open Arms" is about nonviolence. THEREFORE)

We know Polites last words/action in life was calling for Odysseus. And, imo, Polites' dying wish was for Odysseus to heal. If "Open Arms" is about Polites' calling out Odysseus' stress/trauma & trying to coax Ody to approach life differently so he can start to move on from the horrors of war.

Then that means, in death, Polites is stuck hoping Odysseus heals. Over & Over Polites sings for his friend to let go of his guilt & try to build a life worth living (not just one have to survive in)

And THAT imo is 1000x sadder than a call for pacifism. Because Polites' dying wish doesn't come true. Odysseus' mental/emotional health grows worse & worse. He pushes everyone away in the Ocean Saga, to the point that his crew of 10 years starts to doubt him! He already "can hardly sleep" in the Circe Saga. The Underworld Saga almost destroys him and it only gets worse from there!

In the Underworld Odysseus is confronted with Polites' love for him. His desire for him to get better. His hope for Odysseus to find peace/happiness.

Polites loved him soooo much, his Final Thoughts were concern for his friend. (Then Ody gets to hear from his mom, who loved him so much she died waiting for his return)

No wonder it breaks him.

[Anyways, if you wanna see my (much shorter) post over how the Wisdom Saga basically argues for/confirms Polites' philosophy Was RIGHT, you can find it here]

I am Amira from Gaza🍉. The war destroyed everything I own. I lost my father, my home, my job, and my university. I can't bear any more. Could you please donate or share my story to help protect us 🙏?

Unfortunately, I cannot contribute myself, but I'm willing to spread the word and reblog this. I hope you are able to raise the funds you need and get the help you need, and I am so sorry for your loss.

Another One Thank You.

Another one thank you.

So Zeus here is a Smilodon also more commonly known as a Saber-Toothed Tiger. I chose the Smilodon for him since he is one of the oldest gods and it shows his age since Smilodons are ancient and all, but it also makes him very imposing and scary. He has a mane purely because I say so and why not. His mane is made of clouds and the weather of the clouds is based on his mood. Hence the dark stormy clouds on Beast Mode Zeus below.

Another One Thank You.

Also a small little detail is that he has two sets of fangs since it was recently discovered that Smilodons would keep their baby fangs while growing their big adult fangs to stabilize them :D

Heyyo I Have Another Post And This One Is My Design For Aeolus And The Winions.

Heyyo I have another post and this one is my design for Aeolus and the Winions.

So Aelous is based off of a clouded leopard hence the cloudy spots (Also got super lazy with those that's why they only have 3 lol) and uh cloud tail and hair because wind/sky god you know.

And the Winions welp I was inspired to make them Black-Footed cats by this one line "Sometimes killing is a must!" and since Black-footed cats are the deadliest in the world with a successful hunt rate of 60% and are very smol itty bitties it only made sense to make the Winions black footed cats.

First Post Hooray!! I'm VERY New To Tumblr So If Anybody Has Any Tips To Navigate This Wild Site Lmk

First post hooray!! I'm VERY new to Tumblr so if anybody has any tips to navigate this wild site lmk please.

Just a lil Athena and Telemachus sketch I did a while back. This is supposed to be during We'll Be Fine.

Athena is a Eurasian Lynx and Telemachus is an Aegean Cat.

I chose the lynx for Athena because they are associated with wisdom and she is the wisdom goddess. Eurasian Lynx are also the largest species of lynx and I imagine Athena as a pretty tall/big imposing goddess you know.

Tele on the other hand takes after his father (also an Aegean cat) and basically, it's meant to represent his royal lineage, the royals of Ithaca are Aegean cats. They also are from Greece so boom instant reference to Greece lol. They also just come in the cutest patterns and I have a PERFECT one in mind for tele.
