“I didn't waste anything.” the voice was still strong but less drowning as the being slowly changed back to the familiar face of the young woman

“You don't have to be strong alone anymore. It, this is also my job. Why I was resurrected in the first place. I don't doubt your abilities ” Cindy sighed, now every part of her back to normal “but don't make me watch you getting hurt. I lost so much already.”

He knew that Cindy was powerful. She was fucking cosmic entity for Christ’s sake. He also knew that she was a vengeful cosmic entity. “They didn’t hurt me that much…” He muttered. Oh, they certainly tried, but while he was not made of stone, his skin was tougher than most people.
