I am really loving the morality debate between Cindy and the Guardians

I do get where both are coming from like ideally we shouldn't have to kill abusers, but we do not live in an ideal world unfortunately.

Thank you! I like to think as they are the Guardians. They represent almost everything positive in this world, that's why murder when it would be justified isn't really an option. They had their own struggles although most of them are either not from Earth (Sandy, Bunny) or was a creature instead of human (Tooth).

While Cindy is a Protector. She was human before eventually becoming a cosmic terror. She is a true victim of how justice system operated, her death would've left unpunished and no matter what her mother did, she couldn't avoid/escape from her ex husband from killing her. She knows the world as it is, without wonder, compassion or justice and it let her down multiple times.

Oh this was too good of an opportunity.

“Yes as this sync doesn't happen for anatomy reasons but emotional ones as well. So yes it's possible.”

She stopped counting the hours, the victims of her blade today, which stretched into night. Sometimes closing the lid of horrors, saying she was finished for the day while the word kept taking and taking, threatening to pull her into the abyss she was tightrope walking on.

Last one today. She had said that hours ago. She knew she was late to prevent the act, but this time the child will live and there won't be an another.

She stood in the dark veil of the night, looming the over the soon to be victim, the approaching golden light didn't disturb her the slightest. Though she did retreat into the darkness to investigate why was the Guardian about to pay a visit to the father.

Oh.

The golden glow illuminating her face as she made her presence known.

“I won't be able to siphon his soul out unless I stab him. I can do it quietly, the child needs you more.” no questions asked, straight to business

The thing about dreams was that they revealed a lot, children used dreams to cope with their own reality and escape from awful situations. And tonight he found a young girl struggling with a nightmare, one that felt…too real for it entirely to be made up. A young girl dreamt of her father hitting her and that’s the realization it wasn’t a dream, but a memory.

Seeing the sleeping girl with several bruises and a broken arm of all things, the conclusion was clear. It was not the first time her father had gotten violent, nor would it be the last. First he eased the young girl, giving her a peaceful happy dream tonight, then used her powers to relieve her of any pain. 

Sandy despite what others assumed was not a merciful being, peaceful, kind, and at times forgiving, but mercy from him was rare. Pitch could agree with that sentiment. Drifting into the fathers room, he let the sand whish around him, it wasn’t the normal amount that would let others simply sleep. It was enough to make him stay asleep. The man would die but he would die peacefully, that’s the only kindness he would get. 

He only stops when he notices the other entity in the room, he says nothing as he meets her gaze. No shame, no stepping back, this is exactly what it looks like.
