It was a bright Sunday morning, you had your breakfast in a cafe, cheesecake and green tea. You had to check out the new place you found online. Your new possible roommate was going to show you the place. You booked a cab back home to escape the moon sun. You always believed in making first good impressions so you wanted to change before going. It was all going fine until 12:13. It was a call from the hospital which messed up your near to perfect weekend. You changed your location. Its your boyfriend and you must get as soon as possible. While on the signal you see a florist right beside the footwalk. You check the signal again 2:15. Can you make it? They would love if you brought flowers right.

"I ll come back in a moment" you said to the driver and rushed to the store "a bouquet of blue orchids please hurry". You quickly payed in cash and returned just in time.

You took long strides towards the room no. the nurse told you. You didn't notice anyone along the way hoping you weren't going to collide. That's why you didn't see the eyes which were moving along with your figure envious of the person you were running so hard for. It was a dramatic entry, you Whipped the door open pausing at the patients in front of you. There were 4 beds but you were only looking at the last one. It wasn't only your boyfriend it was the girl who always pounced on him too. She tensed up seeing you straighting her skirt getting up. A guilty look on her face as she puts the stray hair behind her ear and walks out passing by you like that's the most natural thing. You looked at her narrowing your eyes and continued to glare at him as he slept peacefully on the bed.

"excuse me are you his girlfriend?"

The nurse questioned and you wondered if you were now. " um his other girl - I mean the person who he came with said. Could you fill out these forms"? You toke the writing pad from her and left. You didn't want to cry over boys. But you Couldn't help the tears and before you knew it you broke into ugly sobbing. You composed yourself you knew this would happen but your just too fucking naive. You wiped your stray tears away. Voice still cracking you got up seeing her coming back from the hallway.

"I- I know I shouldn't have done but I'm so sorry what happened was-"

You smirked. You weren't going to be the cliché woman who got cheated on.

"hey hey I don't have interest in that. I guess he suits you more than me. And don't get scared of me" you put a hand over her shoulder. Anybody outside would think you're just acting friendly.

"I won't hold a grudge against you guys. I won't stoop as low as yall" you pressed the writing pad against her and threw the bouquet of blue Orchids you brought for him in the trash can beside. Something inside you switched that very moment you saw ' Ily. Get well soon' card fall in the bin. You were done with this. A simple 'I'm breaking up with you' is what he deserves.

You took confident steps as you started stepping out of the hospital floor when you stopped.

*ring ring* you took out your phone from your bad releasing you got late for your appointment.

"hello I'm so sorry something came up I ll be there as soon as possible. Oh um okay okay thank you."

It was the land lady, your roommate was busy today so she was going to come over to show you the apartment instead.

You really weren't in the mood to go but life goes on yeah.

"its nice and cozy right?" the landlady asked and you agreed not an obligatory yes but a real one the place was genuinely cozy and felt nice and warm.

Except the decor was a bit wild. Mismatched. Put together randomly.

"full time hot water ac is working the electricity is included a modern kitchen you ll have complete privacy in your room."

"I like it. I'm considering to move in. However you see I just got fooled I don't want to be again. So please tell me directly Why's the rent low for such an amazing place ? "

The lady nervously chuckled. As being caught.

"the other one in the room next to yours is my nephew. He's a Rapper does music stuff and it disturbs the other so they leave soon. Noise is the only issue."

"Alright. That's fine with me. My neighbours in the old apartment were pretty loud. Members of frat. So anyway I'd like to Make a payment."

The day was indeed tough. After 2 hours of payment and other formalities you came back to the new place you called home. However you shut the door stepping in your room after taking a long look at the interior. You didnt want to make impulsive decisions after a sad break up. You were going to avoid thinking about it as long as you could.

and what would distract your mind more than cleaning (!) You spent the entire day dusting and arranging your stuff in the not large but sufficient enough space. Closing the door you looked at the door on your right. You haven't met your roommate yet. You just hope they aren't inquisitive and nosy. Bonding with someone is the last thing you want to do. Touching the fabric of couch you wondered if they have bad taste or did they just didn't bother to change the ugly pillow cases their aunt put in. It's 5pm right now and though youre initial goal was to get take away you pick up your handbag from the kitchen table you left it on and make your way out.

If shifting into a new place and breaking up in a single day wasn't impulsive enough you were now buying pastel decor for your shared living room. Shared with a rapper you didn't know. Your excuse was not stereotyping that "rappers like dark".

coming back home you start your redecoration. Point to note you still havent had food.

Pulling up a soft blanket you started how your ending the day contrasting to the start of it. You werent that much attachted to him. Got up abruptly sitting down on the kitchen table bringing up a random clean cup you found. Intentions of drinking with your new roommate as a kind welcome gesture long forgotten.

Running a hand through your hair you drank your nth cup of the alcohol in front of you. Rubbing your face as you cried your eyes out for the past one hour you didnt hear the unlocking of the front door. Completely unware of the new company You were sitting facing the living room draging your finger over the brim of the cup tears slowly sliding through your cheeks as you rub them before they can fall off.

Hitting your back to the chair you now lock eyes with a wide eyed handsome guy. Black hoddie. Gold rimless glasses. Side parted hair. Any girl's dream. You raise your eyebrows as he stands still. Thinking he wasnt informed about a new roommate you bow from your seat. Being sober enough to understand you wont balance standing straight.

"Hi. Im your new roomie" you smile loopsided tilting head right wards.

Changbin couldnt believe his eyes. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 were in front of him. In his house. On the same table he has his meals. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 were there . Drinking .Crying. the same feeling from earlier that day hit him again. The feeling of wanting to hug you and tell you ,you were beautiful and caring and didnt deserve an asshole like your ex. he didnt know you nor the jerk. What he knew was that you deserved the world.

Earlier that day.

" hey han. yeah chan's doing better now. But you come quick. I told him We ll switch duties to watch over the old man so you take the night. I need to go home at night. I got a new flat mate today. I told my aunt to take care of it. Alright. See you later. "

As the phone got disconnected Changbin stepped out of the corner he stood in but quickly backed off when he sensed someone hurriedly running past him. Everything seemed to go in slow mo after that. Him looking at your running figure. The brushing of your shoulder to his. You looking over bowing a little "sorry" your timid voice spoke. A strand of your hair getting in your eye. And Changbin almost felt his hand raising and tucking it behind your ear. You stood in front of the same room Changbin was a few minutes prior. Patting your hair you opened the door with a little more energy than needed. Changbin didn't know why he turned green with envy. Especially when you were a complete stranger. He was jealous of the person you ll go to visit now. Him wanting the same care and attention you gave to that every person. Were they that important to you. Was it your best friend? Was it your partner? He prayed it wasn't the latter. His string of thoughts were broken as he focused more on your face the worried expression turning into a morsed one. You went in regardless. He was glad Chan laid in the same room. He'd get to see more of you. As he entered another girl pass by him and he recognised her to be the girlfriend of chan's hospital roommate. And when the nurse said those words he knew what just happened. He witnessed all stages of your break up. The sadness evident on your face when you entered. The given up look you gave to the nurse. You're sobbing after you left. Yes he was with you all throughout. He stood next you wondering how he ll never get the chance to care for you. To show you deserve to be treated right. To hold you tight.

Changbin finally recovered from his previous trance and made way to sit opposite you on the wooden chair.

"hi" he timidly said.

And even though he wants to scream giggle and smile from ear to ear he can't just ignore your tear stained cheeks.

You looked around trying to find another clean glass. "I ll just grab a beer" he said. "I'm sorry I not like this everyday. I don't drink alot too its just..." How do you even talk to him. You don't want your first conversation with your roommate to be so sad and boring. "hey its okay" he said holding your free hand thats placed on the table. Rubbing circles with his thumb. "I just had a bad break up."

"its just a phase, just an experience learn from it and let it pass by."

It was a small sentence but it comforted you. Especially when you looked up at him and he was already looking at you so gently.

Rubbing your wet hands on your pj's you open the door expecting a delivery man? A neighbour? The milkman? Well anyone except a face which put you in horror too shocked to move you froze holding the door half open.

"did you really think you could break up with me over a small text?"

"I - how did you-no why the hell are you here?" you got over the initial shock and quickly turned cold ready to hit the door on his face.

"it was a piece of cake" he raised the hand holding a white bag the letters reading 'cake shop'

You tried to close the door but he was faster quickly obstructing it by his foot

"now" he said with more force

"let's have sweet cake and talk about our sweet relationship" he stepped inside moving to sit on the couch. You pulled the door wide open and pulled the bag to which he retracted a few steps.

Throwing the bag out you demanded

"get the hell out. I don't have anything to talk"

"don't make me the bad man yn let's just talk" he hissed pulling your hand harshly.

You struggled to free yourself off his hold. His grip getting tighter. He cupped your face squishing your cheeks in process. "I like you yn alot. I'm sorry I won't cheat on you again okay?"

You punched his nose and he dropped you. He held his nose as his vision got blurry. You dragged him in an attempt to get him to leave. However he regained hitting your head while you fell to the side." trust me yn! " he barked. You looked up at him disgusted, tears had started swelling. He slowly bend over cupping your face gently. But the loud terrifying silence broke "what the hell is going on?" yelled a familiar voice. You peeked through your ex's side and saw Changbin standing near the door. The confusion on his face disappeared once he saw the tears now rolling down your cheeks. Now face red with anger in a flash your ex was off you now lying beside in pain. Changbin knocked him off. "are you hurt?" he asked, voice full of concern. "who the hell are you? We're a couple we don't need an outsider!" he was about to get up but Changbin hit his stomach and he fell grunting loudly. "you are fucking trespassing the next time I see you here or anywhere near yn I swear you I'll send you to jail!"

"Thank you " you muttered. Rushing

Out of breath. That’s what you felt when you woke up this morning and saw that you were going to be late to work. 

“SHOOT!” you jolted out of bed and sprinted to the bathroom. 

Today was the first day where you would work under your mother to prove to her that you’re worth the CEO position. Your mother was the CEO of Audace, a clothing line competing against other luxury brands such as Gucci, CocoChanel, Versace, Louis Vuitton. Today, you couldn’t afford to be late, so there you were, sloppily throwing makeup on your face in your bathroom. 

“Not today, you’re not gonna ruin this y/n,” you talked to your reflection. 

As soon as you looked as ready as you could be, you rushed out the door of your apartment and into your car. 

“Whatever, I’m already late,” you sighed and as soon as you knew it, you were taking a detour to the coffee shop. 

Parking your car, you shut the door and entered the little coffee shop. It was always your favorite, even though you never drank coffee. The comfort it held, held a soft spot in your heart. 

“Hey Soojin, I’ll have my usual,” you smiled, setting your sunglasses on top of your head, “Oh! And a medium chai for my mom please,” you figured that you could bring her her favorite drink while you were at it.

“Of course, $5.75 please.” 

You swiped your card and stood aside, waiting for your drink. You sat at the nearest table and looked at the little pot of sunflowers sitting in the center. You ran your fingers against the soft petals, but soon your thoughts were interrupted by a call. 

You sighed looking at the contact, “morning, mother.” 

“Why are you late? You were supposed to be here half an hour ago,” she asked. 

“I overslept and made a little detour,” you simply replied. 

“Y/n!” As soon as you heard your name called, you stood up and grabbed both of your drinks. 

You nodded at Soojin to thank her and rushed out of the coffee shop. 

“Well you better be on your way in the next half hour because we have a meeting with our joint company, got it?” Your mother sternly said as you opened the door with your back. 

“Of course! I’m coming right n-HEY! Watch it!!” you yelled. 

You looked down at your stained white blazer and blouse. The iced matcha you were dying to drink was suddenly gone and absorbed into your shirt. It was the first blazer your mother bought you for your first day of working with her. 

“Chill, princess, you were in my way” the man stood in front of you, the nickname he gave you frustrated you even more. 

The man stood tall and confident, he was wearing his own suit and he wore it well, too bad your drink spilled a bit on him.
