Changbin x Reader

After walking through your front door, shrugging off your jacket, and hanging it on the coat rack by your door. You noticed it was much quieter, a contrast to Changbin's typical liveliness he brings when he is home before you. While you tug off your shoes, trying to notice or pick up on any sounds until you hear the faintest sound of water splashing coming from the direction of your and Changbin's room. You slowly started heading towards the bedroom as quietly as possible when you heard Changbin humming a song.
“Changbin?” you spoke softly as you peeked into your bathroom to find Changbin in your bathtub that looked a little small for him, with his damp purple locks clinging to his forehead when he looked up at you like you had caught him red-handed doing something he wasn’t supposed to. You let out a small chuckle as his cheeks started to flush a pink color while he glanced at you before looking back at the tub.
“What?” Changbin mumbled, a small smile spreading across your lips before stepping back into your room. Slipping out of your clothes, you reached for Changbin's oversized shirt. The soft fabric enveloped you as you pulled it on, drowning in its comforting size. Changbin had finished dressing for bed, towel in hand, as you completed your task. His damp hair ruffled under the cloth. Changbin reclined, his arms outstretched beneath the covers. He waited, expectant, for your familiar embrace as sleep beckoned. The bed welcomed your nightly ritual, a dance of comfort and closeness you both cherished. You nuzzled further into his embrace as you breathed in his body wash while sleep took hold of you.
As morning sunlight seeped through the curtains, you tilted your head, digging deeper into the pillow. Before the sweet aroma of pancakes and eggs filled your nose. You huffed and got out of bed, letting out a small wince when your bare feet hit the cold floor. You stumbled towards the kitchen and found Changbin putting pancakes onto a plate, topping them with strawberries, and serving them with eggs. He placed the two plates of food onto the table along with the two cups filled with orange juice.
You cleaned up after breakfast, washing dishes as Changbin embraced you from behind. His lips traced a tender path along your neck and shoulders, leaving a trail of gentle kisses. The morning routine blended seamlessly with affectionate moments, creating a cozy atmosphere in the kitchen.
You felt his warm hands slide into your back pockets as you stood at the sink. Changbin pulled you close, his chest pressing against your back. His gentle humming harmonized with the sound of running water. You rinsed the last dish and turned off the faucet, letting him guide you toward the living room.
Changbin slipped his hand into yours as you walked into the living room. He led you to the couch, where a blanket was already spread out, and you both sat down together. You snuggled into his side, feeling his warmth and comfort. The morning light streamed through the window, casting a warm glow on the room. Changbin selected Han's movie recommendation. As he settled back beside you, your head found its familiar resting place on his shoulder.
While the movie started, you asked, "Isn't this the movie Han suggested last time?" as Changbin pulled you closer, wrapping you up in the throw blanket that was on the back of the couch. "Yeah," Changbin nodded as he rubbed soothing circles on your side under your shirt (his shirt you stole). The opening scenes of the movie played on, and you felt your eyelids growing heavy. Changbin's gentle rubbing on your side made you relax even more. You yawned, and he whispered, "Tired?" in your ear. You nodded, and he adjusted the blanket to keep you cozy. As the movie continued, your eyes drooped, and you drifted off to sleep, lulled by Changbin's soothing touch and the warm morning light.

Birthday Surprise
Happy birthday to Binnie!💕
Pairing: Changbin x Reader, established relationship
Genre: Fluff
Warning: None
{Word Count: 660}
Afterswiftly sending a text to Chan, asking him to distract Changbin for a crucial hour, you, Felix, and Han sprang into action, busily adding the final decorations in the living room and kitchen, transforming the space into a festive haven for Changbin's surprise birthday party. The clock was ticking, and every minute counted as you worked together to create an unforgettable celebration.
After meticulously baking Changbin's cake, you elaborately decorated it with vibrant colors and ornate designs, making it a true masterpiece. You then carefully placed it on the dining room table, which was set with a beautiful tablecloth and adorned with festive candles. Next, you hung up a bright, shimmering streamer that read "Happy Birthday Binnie!!" in bold, cursive letters above the threshold of the kitchen and dining room, creating a joyful and celebratory atmosphere. The streamer fluttered gently in the air, its vibrant colors catching the light and adding to the excitement of the special day. As you stepped back to admire your handiwork, you couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and satisfaction, knowing that you had created a truly special and memorable birthday setting for Changbin.
After receiving a text from Chan saying that they are heading up to the apartment now, you, Felix and Han turned off all the light and quickly hid in your hiding spot. Before long you heard jingling of Changbin's keys in the keyhole.
When Changbin stepped into the apartment, the stillness hit him like a punch to the gut. He scanned the dimly lit room, his eyes straining to adjust to the darkness that seemed to swallow everything in its path. The silence was oppressive, a heavy blanket that suffocated the space, making him wonder why the apartment felt like a tomb.
Just as he took a few more steps into the apartment, he jumps slight when the lights suddenly come and a bunch of voices shout "Happy Birthday Binnie!,"
He turned his head to the side, his eyes widening in surprise as he took in the festive scene before him. Han and Felix, grinning from ear to ear, wore bright birthday hats adorned with colorful streamers and glittery decorations. His gaze then shifted to you, beaming up at him with a radiant smile, proudly holding a vibrant cake that screamed "Happy Birthday Binnie" in bold, sugary letters. The cake itself was a masterpiece, with swirling patterns of blue and red frosting and a cluster of candles lit up like tiny stars. The air was electric with excitement and anticipation, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still as he took it all in.
As the night progresses further into ChangbinThe sounds of cheering and chatter filled the air as Han and Felix high-fived each other, clearly thrilled with the success of their surprise. You handed Binnie a gift wrapped in shiny paper, a small card attached to the top with a bright pink ribbon. Binnie's eyes sparkled with curiosity as he took the gift, his fingers tracing the edges of the paper. Meanwhile, Felix began snapping photos with his phone, capturing the joy and excitement of the moment. As Binnie started to unwrap the gift, the room fell silent once more, everyone waiting with bated breath to see his reaction.
Binnie's eyes widened as he tore off the wrapping paper, revealing a sleek, black guitar. He gasped, his face lighting up with pure delight. Han and Felix grinned at each other, relieved their hard work had paid off. The camera shutter clicked away as Felix captured the perfect shot. Binnie's fingers trembled with excitement as he held the guitar, his eyes fixed on the intricate design etched onto its body.
A few hours later after everyone left, Changbin held you in his arms as you both sat on the couch. Changbin thought of how lucky he is to have you do this for him even though he didn't ask as he gazed down at your sleep form.

Our little angel
"Special goodnight kisses"
Changbin x Female reader
→ Warnings: Corruption kink, Daddy dd/lg, nipple play, dry humping, praising, implied poly!skz.
→ A/N:
If you like my work please feel free to reblog with some related hashtags as it helps a lot for the algorithm!
I would like to inform you that I now have a ko-fi so if you'd like to tip me for my work, you're more than welcome to do so!
It was past midnight, past your bedtime, but you couldn't really fall asleep.
Every night they would tuck you to bed and pass one by one to give you your goodnight kiss before you fall asleep, but tonight one of them was missing.
You heard a gentle knock on the door before seeing it slightly open with Changbin's head popping behind it.
You practically jumped from your excitement and relief thinking he had forgotten you.
He approached your bed and sat beside you cupping your face softly smiling pulling you closer to him to kiss your lips gently.
You smiled back looking up at him with puppy eyes driving him insane every time.
"I really thought daddy forgot my goodnight kiss!" You complained with a pout.
He chuckled as he rested his back on the bed headboard and softly picked you up to place you on his lap.
"I would never forget my baby girl" he reassured you caressing your face softly "I just wanted to make sure I'll have time to show you something without getting interrupted" he whispered in your ear making your whole body shiver.
Changbin was quick to notice your nipples popping up through your think tank top making his desire grow wanting to fulfill all of the fantasies he had with you.
"W-what does daddy Binnie want to show me?" You asked him with your voice trembling with excitement and anticipation. You weren't sure what he wanted to show you or what he wanted to do next, but deep down you were sure you would like it.
"I want to show my baby some special goodnight kisses" he whispered again next to your ear nibbling on it as you squeezed your thighs together.
He laid you on your back and climbed on top of you as he stared a bit at your figure.
You felt so vulnerable underneath him, you were literally a white canvas to him, so unaware of what was going on but looking up at his eyes you were feeling ready to be explored.
Changbin started lifting up your shirt until your breasts were exposed to him.He kept staring at the masterpiece in front of him biting his lip as you kept breathing heavily not sure what to do.
You felt so exposed but you didn't really care.
Changbin carefully leaned down and started leaving small kisses around the skin of your nipples making your breath hitch.
"D-daddy... The rules" you shut your eyes tightly trying to remind him that what he was doing was against the rules that all of you had set in this relationship, but at the same time you would hope he wouldn't listen to you.
"But kissing is fine by the rules, right?" He asked you and you nodded hesitantly even though you were pretty sure that this wouldn't be okay with your other daddies.
Changbin kissed your nipple making you moan softly and grip his shoulders.
That was enough for him to have the green light he needed so he started sucking on your nipple as his fingers were teasing the other one.
"D-daddy this made me tingly!" You whined and Changbin smiled softly removing his sweats to stay with his boxers getting between your legs.
"Go on! Hump daddy like a good girl" he said as he started sucking on your other nipple.
You arched your hips grinding against his bulge furiously, as the feeling of Changbin's lips around your nipple kept making you more and more needy, trying to catch some friction.
He kept sucking and biting gently each of your nipples alternatively as your grinds became harder and harder.
"Daddy!" You squirmed underneath him before cumming in your panties gripping tightly your bedsheets with one hand and his shoulder with the other one.
You kept grinding letting your clothed folds slide against Changbin's tip.
"FUCK— Y/N!" Changbin moaned your name loudly as he started cumming in his boxers, as soon as he felt your folds giving him even the tiniest idea of what your hole would feel like.
He started rubbing your sides softly to help you relax before caressing your hair.
"You are such a good girl for daddy princess" he whispered with his finger caressing your cheek smiling.
You blushed and smiled back at him.
"Thank you daddy! I liked special goodnight kisses a lot!"
He chuckled and lean down to give one last peck to each of your nipples before lowering your shirt.
"Then I will give them to you every night! But you have to promise daddy Binnie that this will be our little secret okay?"
You nodded excitedly, as you noticed him getting up reaching to your drawer.
He pulled out a new pair of panties as he sat at the edge of the bed next to you.
"Up" he said and you arched your hips as he hooked his fingers to your panties removing them and replacing them with a clean pair.
You smiled and blushed once again.
"I love it when daddy is taking care of me!" You said getting up hugging him tightly.
"Of course baby! You are my only princess!" He said pecking your lips "Now you have to sleep baby, it's pretty late" he said as he laid you on the bed fixing the pillow under your head.
You gave him a pout looking up at him and he sighed rolling his eyes.
"Okay, fine, daddy will sleep with you tonight" he said getting on the empty spot beside you wrapping his arms around your waist spooning you.
You clapped your hands in excitement pecking his lips as you rested your head on his shoulder slowly drifting to sleep.

✨ Imagine (Changbin) ✨
Brain rote about Changbin having such a huuuugggeee crush on a married staff member :(
When you first joined he was a little confused you looked so young so sweet and absolutely gorgeous
Which was weird, because of the fact they usually hire older people or males around them so there wouldn't be any interests or crushes for the boys, Binnie always thought it was stupid but now he kinda understand it.
He doesn't know why his heart breaks a little when he heard you're married he hasn't even spoken two words to you yet...
But soon enough you were on tour with him he felt comfortable with you always smiling but his smile always fell when he saw the ring on your finger
One day while both of you were talking you kept talking about how you used to work 3 jobs to be able to pay for everything and how greatful you are to work with JYP and stary kids
Which made Changbin's blood boil a little not once in this conversation have you mentioned your husband, not once have you mentioned him helping out or anything what kind of man was he?! Not even helping his sweet little wife with groceries
"if you were mine I would have never made you suffer like that" your eyes widen looking at him, he didn't mean to say that out loud he really didn't before he was about to apologize you gave him a sad smile
"well men like you would never go for women like me" you chuckled sadly "besides I would get kicked out of this job for conflict of interest... " you're friend waves you over to do some editing and you stood up quickly saying bye to Changbin
Changbin thinks he screwed up this was going to be awkward between you, but he really can't help it you're everything he's looking for, why the hell do you have to be married...
While Binnie is hollowing in sorrow your heart kept racing thinking about Seo Changbin's word, did he mean it? Does he like you?
Should you have really lied in the interview and siad you were married?!

I'm almost back which means ✨SKZ Hybrid AUs✨
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
So imagine you work with a hybrid shelter who finds stray hybrids and gives them a new home and a family, you are one of the best people there and you had worked with many tough and complicated cases, so whenever they have trouble with a hybrid they call you to deal with it.
It isn't new to you, to get a call at 3 am because your coworkers can't deal with a difficult hybrid, it was almost a daily occurrence
And tonight was no exception, you got a call about a really, really, really injured but violent hybrid, so you did your normal routine packed a bag full of meat, put on some scent blockers to not smell threatening even put on a soft fluffy oversized sweater to look even less threatening
You went over there and your breath hitched there he was with blood all over him growling and snapping his Teath at anyone who dared get too close to him
At this point everyone were staying back too afraid of the "violent" hybrid
One guy got too close and ended up on the ground with his arm gushing blood, after that everyone backed away but still surrounded the Hybrid so he wouldn't be able to escape, they meant well but all it did was scare the hybrid even more
But you noticed it
You noticed it when the Hybrid hurt the guy, when they snapped their Teath and bite down on that guy's arm
You noticed how his eyes widened, you noticed how he pulled back and put his back flat against the wall, you noticed how he regretted it and how his ears went flat on his head.
But then he got angry again, or more like scared? So you stepped in, and as soon as the hybrid noticed, he glared and growled at you, but you didn't move, never breaking eye contact, your colleagues started yelling at you to get away before you ended up dead.
And just then, the hybrid lunged, but stopped just inches away from your face, the large male looking puzzled that you didn't flinch or back away or make a sound
Instead you just sat down you sat down right in front of the hybrid, who backed away, planting himself on the wall again
"Look at you, then look at me, do you really think I could hurt you?" you whispered in the softest of voices. The hybrid scowl never left his face, but he looked curious.
"Even though you're terribly injured, you hurt a perfectly healthy man because you're too strong," the glare was immediately replaced by regret as he caught the eyes of the man he'd hurt.
"No one here blames you, you've probably been through terrible things, you have every right to lash out and not trust anyone," you started to comfort him, now the big scary hybrid looked even more broken.
Eyes looking confused a pretty frown on his bloody face looking around ears flat on his head tail between his legs
"Listen, I know you won't believe me, but I'm not here to hurt you, no one here is" "So listen, I know you're smart, you're badly injured, so how about you come with me to the hospital to get help - or if you really think you can manage on your own, I'll tell everyone to leave you alone"
The Hybrid's eyes widened and you could feel your colleagues disagreeing with what you were saying.
"It's your choice, either you come with us to help you recover, or we leave and come back when we get a call about you again" The Hybrid looked at you, then at the men, and held up two fingers, and your heart broke.
the Hybrid was telling you that he had decided that you should leave him alone instead of going to the hospital, so you nodded and told everyone to get back in their car, some started to shout at you but then they did as they were told and it was only you and the Hybrid who were left.
The Hybrid looked hella confused, but immediately retreated in fear as you reached back into your bag and handed him a bag of meat, "If you're going to stay on the streets, you need to eat first".
With that you put the bag on the ground in front of the Hybrid and turned your back, you heard the bag being grabbed, when you turned around the Hybrid was closer now and looking at you
You tilted your head "you need something pretty boy" the reaction was almost immediately eyes widen comically before a blush made his way to his face, he took out one hamburger you packed and put it infront of you before dashing away.
You smiled you truly believe that there were no evil or "violent" hybrids out there, they were only like that because of the humans that treated them like toys for their enjoyment
You hope that when you get the next call about a certain "violent hybrid" It wouldn't be too late...

marred marriage | seo changbin
pairing: husband! seo changbin x gold digger! fem! reader
genre: marriage au, suggestive smut (18+)
synopsis: being so anal about commitments yet choosing to be stuck in a marriage is very confusing for you
warning(s): infidelity, crude language, sexual content (minors dni), mutual masturbation, pet names (darling, baby, babe), lowkey kinda toxic lmao 🫠
word count: 2k
You’ve come home late multiple nights a week without your husband questioning it and you are quite sure that he knows what you are up to.
It was quite obvious too. The engagement and wedding bands both absent from your ring finger. Cheap cologne lingering on your clothes. Wine red bruises blooming on your neck and collarbone.
The week after you got married to Changbin, you continued your lifestyle at bars and clubs as if you were still single. In your book, you were still single and still ready to mingle. After all, you only married your husband for his money and not for love.
Changbin is a workaholic working in the finance sector. He practically lives and breathes numbers. Other than the gym, nothing much happens in his personal life. But he is getting to that age when marriage is always asked in conversation. Many people ranging from his family, friends and coworkers had been urging him to finally settle. He decided that it was time. The man didn’t care for who he ends up with. Just as long as he gets settled.
The big problem is, no one seems to want to stick around for the long run. His dates would end up with the other person just not being interested in him or they have some commitment issues or they just want a quick fuck. The longer this went on, the more desperate Changbin got. He just wanted someone who was willing to stay. Fuck, love is not even the thing Changbin is looking for. Just someone who is willing to stick with him. And he is willing to provide too.
Fun is what you enjoy. Bars, clubs, casinos, speakeasies, fucking around with multiple people at the same time. You have absolutely no desire in staying in a committed relationship. Those were booooring to you. Having fun with different people in the ungodly hours of the night keeps you alive. It was fun. Relationships were not fun.
Your dates never lasted to second ones and it was only Changbin you were willing to give another date. Who wouldn’t want to bag a guy who works at finance?
It wasn’t until the fourth date where you were starting to show disinterest at him. He started bringing up marriage. YUCK. Right when you got up to leave, he grabs on to your wrist. His hold was firm yet not enough to hurt you.
You can sense the desperation from his eyes. “Please just please… I’ll provide for you. You can still live your life. I don’t care what you do. Just marry me… please.”
And here you are now. Changbin’s high rise condo is located at the heart of the city’s downtown. You are nursing a glass of wine on your hand while the other is holding your phone as you complain to your friend on the other side of the screen.
“I mean don’t get me wrong. I love him for his money but I just hate being tied to this marriage.” You take another small sip of wine.
Unbeknownst to you, your husband was eavesdropping on this conversation since it started. You haven’t noticed that his bedroom door was ever so slightly ajar, making it easier to listen in. It was also helpful you had your phone on speaker mode.
“Girl. There are lots of other women out there who would kill to be in your position. He lets you fuck around while still giving you money.”
“Actually. He doesn’t know I’ve been fucking around. Or maybe he does I don’t know. He did say he doesn’t give a fuck about what I do with my life so I’ll take it. But at the same time. You know me. I hate commitments.”
And Changbin does give no fucks if you sleep around or not. It’s what you feel about this marriage that he worries about. Well granted he did kinda coerce you into giving in with his money but he just didn’t want you to leave. He needed another way for you to stay.
Later that night, you were getting dolled up to meet a Tinder date at a hotel. You cover your dress with a trench coat. Just as you were about to head out. You spot your husband sitting on the sofa.
“Going out somewhere tonight, darling?” He gives you a smile. Had it not been for that darling you would have thought this question had no underlying intent.
“I was gonna go meet up with Stacy at this new Thai restaurant that just opened,” you lie.
“Is that so?” He knew it was bullshit.
“I uhm…I thought you would be working tonight?”
Changbin took a gulp of scotch before answering. “Took the night off.” Which was not a lie. He genuinely needed a rest. But he also had plans for you.
“O-kay. I’ll be heading out now,” you say as you opened the door.
That’s when he dropped the big gun. “I don’t care who you sleep around with because baby, at the end of the day, you come back to this home. You come back to me.” You turn around with him giving you the biggest smirk on his face.
You closed the door and took a step forward to him. “Excuse me?”
“You heard me.”
“Shut up.” You gulp. What is your husband on?
Changbin finished his glass of scotch, placing it on the coffee table along with his glasses. Now that you think about it, you haven’t seen him without glasses even after the wedding and well… he looks hot. Why is your husband hot?
He wanted to tease you. He wanted to fluster you and it’s working well so far. “You say that you hate his marriage but you never do anything to end it. You enjoy this life babe. You need me,” he says, as a matter of fact.
“I don’t need you…” Now your face was all tinged in pink. Changbin has always been nonchalant when it comes to your marriage but now, he definitely isn’t acting that way.
“Oh yeah? You don’t need me?” He crossed his arms making his biceps more pronounced. He is definitely teasing you now that you see through him. But what’s frustrating is you don’t understand what’s the point of this thing he is doing. Well. Two can play this game.
“Well. I definitely don’t need you for sex,” you retorted with a smug grin on your face.
“Are you saying that because you’re horny and wanna have sex right now?”
“What?! No! I’m just stating facts okay.”
“Hmm whatever floats your boat Y/N.” And he leaves to go back to his room.
What the hell just happened? Why was he teasing you all of a sudden? He doesn’t care, right? Why did he look so goddamn attractive while flustering you? All these questions swirling in your head like a tornado. Gosh! You needed a glass of water and a moment to compose yourself. You sent a text to your date that you were going to be late.
You needed time to clear your thoughts. But as soon as you were ready to go out of the door again, you heard noises coming from Changbin’s bedroom.
Per your principles, you shouldn’t be giving two shits for your husband. But your curiosity betrayed you and your principles. His door was slightly open and you can hear him moan your name like it’s all he’s ever known. Your hands didn’t hesitate to betray your principles as they push his door open. Curiosity killed the cat because why was he splayed out naked on his bed, moaning your name repeatedly while his hand was on his fat cock? His face contorts from pleasure to that akin to mischief.
Honestly, Changbin thought it wasn’t gonna work. He completely expected you were going to continue with that date. But you were here. His wife was here in his room.
He clears out his throat. “I thought you said you didn’t need me for sex?”
“You think so highly of yourself,” you scoff as you take off your trench coat. ”I’m not gonna fuck you okay.” You slide off your body fitting dress, revealing a pink, lacy lingerie meant for your date tonight. Fuck now you have to cancel out on him. Changbin lets out a whistle as he eye fucks your delicious curves. He can’t help but salivate at the way the lingerie compliments your body. He knew this show wasn’t originally intended for him but can’t he have a little fun with his wife? Technically you are his. And he is yours. The rings and documents prove it.
You slide the lacy panties on the side to give him a better view of your pussy. Softly and gently, you start stimulating your clit with your fingers. As you slide a finger in, you can feel how sopping wet your husband made you despite him not even giving you a single touch. That’s how it’s supposed to be between married couples, right? Satiating each other’s needs. But you hate it. You hate him making you feel this good. You can’t help but drown in this heavenly pleasure. What’s worse is that none of your hookups has ever made you feel this way.
Changbin starts stroking his cock once again. Beads of precum were leaking from his tip. God he was also wet. His face, all red and drenched in sweat. His pecks and torso drenched in sweat. He’s not like anyone you have slept with. He’s fucking beautiful, and you can’t help but speed the movement of your finger inside you, making you let out the most shameless, loud whines.
As if your husband wasn’t any better than you. Changbin’s moans are your new, delicious addiction. You never knew he could sound this delectable. To be fair, you didn’t want to be intimate with him whether physical or emotional in any sort of way but this… this is what you have been missing out on in the past almost nine months.
“Y/N—FUCK!” Him saying your name in such a lewd manner drives you crazy that it makes you insert another finger inside your cunt. You observe him speeding up his movement and the bliss he feels is almost palpable.
“Fuck Binnie keep moaning out my name like that!” you reciprocate as you keep hitting that one spot that drives you insane.
Your husband was not fairing any better. He spread his legs out more as if you’re not already basking in his naked beauty. His hips thrusting the air, wishing he was balls deep in your cunt and that your bodies were pressed against each other but alas this will do for now.
“Come with me?” he asks with pleading eyes.
“Y-yes Binnie!”
Grunts and whimpers float about Changbin’s room as hands work in tandem to pleasure each other despite the lack of contact. The sounds you both make got only louder as you both are reaching the precipice of euphoria.
“F-fuuuck!”
“S-shit shit SHIT!”
You squirted on his carpet and his cum landing on his bedsheet.
Both of you were panting heavily. Changbin keeps his gaze on you while you shyly looked away. What. Have. You. Done. What have you done?
Coming with your husband that’s what. But it’s not illegal or morally wrong, no? In fact, it more than heavily encouraged for married couples to come together.
Your life is a sitcom for all the choices you have made. And this is one of them. You weren’t supposed to have feelings for Changbin, which is once again in accordance to your principles. But fuck your principles when you’re starting to want him. To crave him.
“I uhm I’ll clean up your carpet. Let me get fixed up first,” you say as you pick up your dress and coat. He nods and you exit his room. Your back is immediately met on the other side of his door and you slide down to sit and contemplate your choices.
Shit well that wasn’t supposed to happen at all. You can’t possibly be having feelings for your husband even if it’s just lust. Lust is already potent enough and what more if you fall deeper for him. But it’s not even a matter of if but rather when you fall deeper for him. What. The. Fuck.
You realize that you are utterly fucked.
A/N: Hello! I finally got around to writing once again after 3 months! 😭 Honestly, I planned on immediately writing something after my summer class but it was just so hard getting back into the groove. But I’m so happy I got to post again. I hope you were able to enjoy this read as I enjoyed writing it 😊 Also, I’m considering having a part 2 for this fic so let me know if you are interested in it! Have a great day!!! :D
King of My Heart
Pairing: Seo Changbin x reader
Genre: Fluff, suggestive
Word Count: 4.1k
Author's Note: Today's song of the day is King of My Heart by Taylor Swift...I can't believe this is the first fic I've written since May this year! Excuse the massive Changbin brainrot that took hold while I was writing. Or don't, I don't mind.
-------------------------------------------------
“Come on, please?”
You meet your best friend’s eyes through the mirror, her expression desperate and pleading. You roll your eyes.
“Why would I want to go to a rooftop party when I could stay home, watch a movie and eat ice cream?” You raise an eyebrow, daring her to tell you that staying in is a bad idea.
“Because there will be cute boys? I’m sure Hyunjin has cute friends, he’s bound to with the way that he looks,” she sighs dreamily.
You can’t help laughing at your best friend Roxanne’s giant crush on your mutual friend. Well, acquaintance was maybe a better term…the two of you had only met Hwang Hyunjin once at a work event that Roxanne had invited you to so she wouldn’t be alone. Here you were, two weeks later, and Hyunjin had mentioned that he was throwing a rooftop party before the weather got too cold.
Roxanne’s full on pouting now, big puppy eyes batting her eyelashes at you.
“...fine.”
She squeals, wrapping her arms around you and hops up and down excitedly.
“YAY!! Now we need to figure out what you’re wearing, because you are not showing up like that,” she gestures to your toothpaste stained sweatpants.
“Hey!! I can take back my answer, you know,” you grumble, trying to rub the stain off.
“I know, but you won’t, you love me too much!” she singsongs, pulling you towards your closet.
—---------------------------------------------
An hour and a half later, you find yourself climbing the last set of stairs up to Hyunjin’s rooftop. As you open the door, your mouth falls open slightly, looking over at Roxanne with wide eyes.
Hyunjin has fairy lights everywhere, tables full of snacks and drinks, and there’s even a mirrorball sending silver shimmers across the roof everytime it catches any of the lights. Music is playing loudly, but not so loud that you can’t think, and the skyline looks gorgeous.
“Okay, this was worth it,” you murmur to your friend as she laughs at your expression.
“And just think, you haven’t even seen any of the cute boys! Speaking of…” It’s her turn to go wide eyed as Hyunjin makes his way over to the two of you, pulling Roxanne into a side hug.
“Hey, glad you could make it! You’re Roxanne’s best friend, right?” You nod, smiling at the fact that he remembered you. “Well welcome, food and drinks are over there…beware the punch, Minho made it REALLY strong, but if that’s your thing, be my guest,” he laughs, eyes sparkling as he makes eye contact with Roxanne. “If you need anything, come find me and let me know. Otherwise enjoy!” As he moves to walk away, some form of nonverbal communication happens between him and your best friend and she moves to follow behind him, turning to you.
“Will you be okay? I know you didn’t want to come originally.” She looks uncertain, bouncing from one foot to the other. You nod emphatically, shooing her away towards the black haired man that had just left. She smiles and slips away into the crowd of people, leaving you to wander towards the outskirts of the party.
You’re truly content to linger here, people watching. You see Roxanne and Hyunjin dancing goofily to some song put on by the DJ, also one of Hyunjin’s friends. The sight makes you smile, though you can feel a small pit open up in your stomach that makes you look away. The feeling has nothing to do with Roxanne or Hyunjin…rather just a stinging reminder of your last relationship. 3 years, what feels like wasted. You used to look like your best friend, smiling and laughing at silly jokes, not afraid to look dumb in front of strangers, eyes sparkling. That was until your ex-boyfriend broke things off, simply stating that he had fallen out of love with you. Nothing that you did, nothing you could have done, just…nothing.
That was about 6 months ago, and if you were being honest with yourself, you had avoided social outings to avoid seeing other couples. It made you feel awful to get upset over seeing your best friend happy, but you couldn’t help the way you felt, right? Right? The night air sweeps across your bare legs, making you shiver and bringing you back into the present. You decide to make your way to the drink table, pouring beer into a plastic cup after seeing the only other option was Minho’s punch. You take your drink back to the outskirts of the party, this time choosing to look out over the cityscape. You’re nursing the beer painfully slowly, slightly grimacing every time you take a sip over the taste. It’s strange, you think to yourself…there are thousands of other people in the city, all living their lives separately but also interconnected by the fact that they live in the same place.
“...come here often?” A low voice asks close to your ear, causing you to drop your cup in surprise. As it hits the ground, two hands wrap themselves around your waist, unceremoniously pulling you away from the lukewarm liquid now splashing everywhere.
“Are you okay?” the same low voice asks, prompting you to turn and see a man about your age with short black hair, standing a couple inches shorter than you.
“Yeah, I’m fine I think,” you look down at your outfit, miraculously beer-free other than a couple of errant droplets on your boots. The stranger follows your gaze, noticing the liquid. He holds up a finger to you, runs off and reappears a second later with napkins in his hand. He then kneels on the ground, sopping up the remains of your drink.
“You don’t have to…it’s not-” you start, feeling extremely awkward that someone you don’t know is cleaning your shoes.
“It’s not a big deal, I made you spill so it’s only fair that I clean up the mess I caused,” he looks up with a smile. “You probably will still want to run over it with a damp cloth when you get home because it’ll be sticky, but you should be set for the rest of the party.” He stands up again, dusting dirt off his knees. “I’m Changbin, by the way. I would re-ask if you come here often, but we see how well that went over the first time. Also I would remember seeing someone as pretty as you before,” his smile reappears even wider as he reaches a hand out to you, which you grab and shake.
“Thanks for…for cleaning my boots, I guess,” you stammer, not really sure how to respond.
“No problem,” he responds, unfazed by your awkwardness. “What were you doing over here alone? Are you okay?” His brow furrows in concern.
“No, I just…I mean, I’m fine! Parties just aren’t my thing really. Well, not lately anyway. My friend asked me to come,” you finish lamely, running your hands through your hair.
“You’re a good friend then,” Changbin says matter of factly. “Can I join you? I just needed a break from dancing.” It’s then you notice his flushed cheeks, sweat dampening his brow. He’s got his shirt sleeves rolled and pushed up, where they strain against his arm muscles that you didn’t pay attention to before. You nod.
The two of you are silent for a moment, looking out at the city again, the wind gently ruffling your hair.
“Isn’t it weird to think there are thousands of humans in this city, just living their lives separately? But then we’re all connected because we all live here?” Changbin’s voice breaks the silence. You turn to him, mouth open.
“What?! You cannot tell me that that isn’t weird!” he exclaims.
“That’s literally what I was thinking right before you came up and talked to me,” you breathe, not believing what you’re hearing.
“No way, that’s so cool!” Changbin laughs, the end turning into a little giggle which in turn makes you laugh. “I know you’re not laughing at me right now…” his eyes narrow at you, though the smile remains on his face.
“...your laugh is cute,” you murmur quietly, knowing that you’re turning red as you say it out loud.
“I’m sorry, what was that?” Changbin cups a hand around his ear, leaning towards you as if to hear you better. “My ass is cute? How forward of you, we just met!”
You burn an even darker crimson. “I said your laugh is cute!!” Your voice is raised, almost as loud as the music.
“I know, I’m just messing with you. I do have a cute ass though,” he giggles again, making you laugh as well. “Dance with me.” Your eyebrows shoot up.
“I don’t-”
“Please? I made you spill your drink, let me make it up to you. Dance with me, and I’ll get you another drink. You don’t even have to talk to me anymore after that if you don’t want to.” He looks at you, eyes sparkling…it may be the drinks that you’re sure he’s had, but he seems serious.
“Fine.”
“Yes!!” he pumps his fist triumphantly, then grabs your hand, slotting his fingers between yours to lead you through the crowd to the dancefloor.
A song is fading as you make your way to an empty spot, with the DJ hitting play on a familiar tune as Changbin spins you around.
“I LOVE THIS SONG!!” you exclaim, more energetically than you had felt all night. Changbin’s eyes light up as he sees you let loose, not caring what anyone thinks as you jump up and down. You’re impressed as well, he dances much better than you expected, and surprisingly knows how to move his hips.
One song turns into five, the drink forgotten and the two of you are screaming lyrics at the top of your lungs while dancing. The DJ suddenly switches the mood, lowering the lights and starting a slow song.
“The party must be ending soon,” you breathe heavily, exhausted from dancing.
“Yeah,” Changbin agrees, his hand moving up to rub the back of his neck. He almost looks shy. “Do you wanna…dance still?” He holds out his hand to you.
To your own surprise, you take his offer and step closer to him. He gently places his hands on your waist and you loosely place yours around his neck. The two of you sway in place quietly, occasionally with Changbin spinning you out and bringing you back to him. Towards the end of the song, he spins you out and tugs you back slightly too roughly, your hands crashing into his chest. His hands tighten around your back to steady you, bringing you even closer to him.
“You okay?” he breathes, worry clouding his vision. All you can manage is a noise that is in the affirmative, entirely too distracted by the hard planes of his chest underneath his shirt.
“Are you sure?” His head is cocked to the side, not sure that he believes you.
“You must workout a lot,” you blurt out, unable to stop yourself.
He laughs loudly. “I do, actually. Meet Jut and Dae.” He flexes his chest muscles as he says this, making them jump underneath your hands. You pull your hands away quickly, embarrassed. “Hey, you’re okay…don’t be embarrassed, I worked hard on my body, I don’t mind you pointing it out,” he reassures you. As you make eye contact, he gives you a small smirk.
The smirk fades as the song does, and he suddenly looks embarrassed himself. “Would you maybe want to go to the gym with me sometime?” he asks.
“I haven’t worked out in months, I don’t know…”
“You don’t have to work out if you don’t want to, you can just watch the gun show if you want.” The smirk is back, and you can tell he’s not being serious.
“I’d like to see Jut and Dae in action, yeah,” you finally respond, shocked at your own boldness.
The smirk becomes a full-blown smile. “It’s a date,” he whispers in your ear and walks away, just as Roxanne comes bounding up to you.
“There you are, I’ve been looking for you! Let’s go home, I can give you all the gossip on the way there.” You smile and nod, following her towards the stairs. You look back towards the party, but Changbin is nowhere to be seen.
—-----------------------------------------------------------
On the twenty minute walk home, Roxanne regaled you with all of the drama between her and Hyunjin…it wasn’t really that dramatic, she just enjoyed being dramatic. Fair, seeing as she and Hyunjin both worked for a fine arts collective. It basically boiled down to them casually dating and seeing where things went, but based on her story and your own intuition, you sensed that it probably wouldn’t be long until they were official.
“So how was your night?” Roxanne prods, both figuratively and literally poking her finger into your side as you approach your apartment complex.
“It was fine, I’m glad you had fun,” you smile tiredly. Your friend raises an eyebrow at you, preparing to poke you again.
“I saw you with some guy, who was he? You looked like you were having a good time…”
“Yeah, I was. His name’s Changbin.”
“Ooh, he’s one of Hyunjin’s friends!! He’s a cutie…and he’s super buff,” Roxanne whistles.
“...I noticed,” you laugh. “I have a gym date with him next week.”
“WHAT?!” You swear if she had a drink, it would have been spit all over you.
Your eyes darken. “Is it that hard to believe that I have a date?”
“No, I mean, just…after what happened, I-I’m happy for you! Hyunjin speaks really highly of him, so he must be a good guy. I want to know all the details!”
You nod while yawning, bidding her goodbye at your door.
—-------------------------------------------------
The next week or so passes by without much to report, just work as usual. You’d realized that you and Changbin hadn’t exchanged numbers at the party, which was disappointing…but you barely knew him. You’d get over it. That is until the Thursday after the party, you get a message to come to the front desk of your office for a delivery.
Weird. You hadn’t ordered any supplies, and you had brought your lunch from home today. You walk to the front, only to be met with the receptionist holding out a humongous bouquet of flowers towards you.
You take them from her, flabbergasted at the blooms in front of you as you walk them back to your desk. You place them down, searching around the large amount of daisies in multiple hues for a card of some kind. You finally find one, dragging out a small notecard.
‘I forgot to get your number at the party, so I asked Hyunjin for help to get these to you. I hope you’re having an amazing week, here’s my number if you still want a ticket to the gun show this weekend. ;) -XO, Changbin’
You smile at Changbin’s phone number scrawled messily underneath his message, pulling out your phone to text him thank you for the flowers. Your phone pings with a reply message a few minutes later.
Changbin (3:27 PM): You’re very welcome, I’m just glad they got to the right place! Woulda been embarrassing if Hyunjin pranked me. Do you still want to go to the gym with me, then?
Y/N (3:30 PM): Absolutely! When were you thinking?
Changbin (3:41 PM): Saturday morning, 10AM? We can go for lunch afterwards if you want as well, my treat!
Y/N (3:50 PM): Sounds perfect, see you then!
—----------------------------------------
Saturday morning arrives in no time, and you’re attempting to pack a gym bag that makes sense. It would make more sense if you knew where you were going after your workout.
A dress? Maybe too fancy. A romper? The whole bathroom situation of it all makes you shake your head no. You eventually settle on a pair of jeans and a flowy tank top, hurriedly shoving toiletries and shoes in the bag as well before looking at yourself in the mirror. Black leggings and a sporty tank, your hair thrown up into a messy topknot. Barely any makeup because you’re working out. You’re not sure how you feel about the look, but you’re about to be sweaty so you shrug at yourself and head out the door.
Changbin is waiting for you outside the gym, holding the door open as you approach. “After you, madam,” he smiles, ushering you inside.
He leads you to the weights area and explains his circuit plan to you. “I figure I can spot you when you lift, and my buddy Chan can spot me if I need it.” He gestures over to one of the trainers across the room. “After we go through a couple of sets, we can do cardio…I’ll probably run on the treadmill, but you can do whatever you prefer. Sound good?” You nod, following him over to the bench press. Oh good, the thing you’ll probably be the worst at, considering your arms have the strength of a chicken’s. An already cooked chicken. You sit and slide yourself under the bar and Changbin stands behind you. From this angle, you can see just how massive his chest and arms are. You can’t help but get flustered as he helps you lift the bare bar off the rack, gently coaching you through a set. You then switch places, watching him in awe lift 150 lbs while his friend Chan spots him.
The date continues with him showing you around the gym, spotting you, correcting your form with light touches to your back and waist when needed. Though innocent, every time his hand brushes across your body it feels like fire.
“Time for cardio!” Changbin crows, oblivious to you watching him do squats. You snap out of your reverie, following him to the opposite side of the gym, collecting your Kindle out of your bag on the way. “I’m probably gonna run 2-3 miles and then I’ll come find you, okay?” He trots a few machines over to a treadmill while you climb onto an elliptical and open the book you had been reading. You glance over to him, only to see him waving goofily at you as he gets the treadmill going up to the speed he wants. You turn back to your book, getting easily engrossed as you start exercising.
-------------------------------------
“...must be really good if you didn’t hear me calling your name three times.”
Your eyes dart up to Changbin, who’s standing in front of your machine, eyes sparkling with mirth.
“Sorry, I just…yeah, it is good,” you laugh sheepishly, slowing down and stepping off the elliptical.
“What is it?” he asks, lifting your Kindle off the machine, his eyes starting to scan the page before you can reach out to stop him. You just stand there, watching his eyes go wider as they make their way line by line down the page.
He lets out a low whistle. “Wow babe, if you were into this kind of stuff you just had to tell me,” he says with a wink.
“That’s rich coming from someone whose ears are as red as a stop sign right now,” you laugh. Changbin’s eyes scrunch up as he lets out a barking laugh.
“Fine, you caught me…but don’t think I’ll forget that you read smut while you’re working out.”
It’s your turn to wink at him.
“Oh, I’m counting on it.”
—---------------------------------------------
Lunch is delicious-Changbin takes you to get sushi, and your outfit is the perfect balance between nice and casual. He walks you to your apartment afterwards, leaning in to give you a hug goodbye. You surprise him by landing a kiss on his cheek.
“Thanks for a really nice date, I had a great time,” you beam.
“Anytime, I had a great time too…and I mean anytime. Like, would you be interested in a second date?” Changbin’s ears have gone red again.
“What did you have in mind?” you tease him.
“Maybe we could go to a bookstore or something since you like to read? And a walk at sunset afterwards?”
It feels like your heart could just burst…you step closer to him, breath fanning out over his mouth. It’s so unlike you to be this open with your feelings this early, but Changbin just makes things easy.
“Is that a yes?” He asks, wide eyes searching yours as you move seemingly closer. You tease your lips over his, barely touching, until he surges forward, capturing your mouth with his own. You break apart after a few moments, breathless.
Your eyes are slightly hooded as you make eye contact again, nodding your head. “That’s a yes, loverboy.” He smiles into the kiss as you move forward connecting your mouths again. It’s not long before he’s mouthing at your jawline and onto your neck, moving his way towards your exposed collarbone.
“You’re so pretty, you know that?” he breathes into your skin between kisses. Your back now against your door, caution thrown to the wind and you don’t care if any of your neighbors see you. “So…pretty…” You’re almost positive you’ll have marks on your collarbone in the morning for the world to see. Changbin’s hands have been on your waist this whole time, sending searing heat through your whole body, and he moves them now towards your ass, squeezing somehow roughly and gently at the same time. You let out a small moan that he swallows as he reconnects his mouth to yours. The moan becomes a yelp as you feel him lift you completely off the ground into his arms with little to no struggle. “Let me take care of you, beautiful,” he murmurs into your ear, sending goosebumps up and down your body.
You lean back slightly, your eyes connecting with his hazy, lust-filled ones. “Changbin, we shouldn’t…I can’t…” You see realization dawn across his face.
“I mean let me take care of you in every way.” He whispers it, like it’s a secret. “I want to spend time with you, cook with you, send you flowers just because it’s a Tuesday. Will you let me?”
“You already sent me flowers, silly.” The smile on his face is so pretty as he looks at you, it makes your heart ache.
“Yeah, but that was a Thursday, not a Tuesday.” He’s smug as he stares up at you, still supported by his arms and the door. “So what do you say?”
“I say…you should let me down before someone sees us,” you laugh.
“You didn’t seem to care about that too much a few minutes ago, now did you, pretty?” His eyes twinkle mischievously as he leans forward, peppering a few kisses across your jawline. His touch makes you sigh almost instantaneously and you lean your forehead against his.
“I will not confirm nor deny that fact,” you laugh, his mouth connecting with yours again.
“Let me take care of you the way you deserve…like a queen.” You hum contentedly as he kisses you, sliding you down the door and back on your feet.
“Does that make you a king?” you smile.
“Only if I’m king of your heart,” he flexes his bicep, and you can’t help but giggle at his silliness.
“Your laugh is cute,” he states matter-of-factly, calling back to the night you first met.
“Yeah? Well your ass is cute,” you smirk, reaching behind him to give it a smack.
“Hey!! That’s my line!” he pouts good-naturedly as you lean in to kiss his cheek.
“Goodnight, Changbin,” you smile coquettishly, unlocking your door and slowly making your way inside your apartment.
“Hey-” he places his hand inside the doorframe, stopping it from completely closing. “I mean it, I want to treat you like you deserve. In every way.” You lean your head against the door, smiling dopily at his statement. “...and when I say every way, if you ever want to try whatever that fairy prince was doing in your book, all I’m saying is I’m down.” He lifts his hands in an ‘I surrender’ posture. You laugh, which causes him to break down in a fit of giggles.
“We’ll see, Romeo…we’ll see.” He pumps his fist in triumph at your answer, leaning forward through the door frame for one last kiss that he sighs into as he draws away. You watch as he starts to descend the staircase of your complex, looking back over his shoulder to look at you one last time before he leaves.
“Goodnight, my queen.”
And with that, he’s gone…and you can’t wait until you see him again.

Christmas Tree Farm
Pairing: Seo Changbin x reader
Genre: Christmas fluff
Word Count: 1.2k
Author's Note: Just a fluffy little piece for Christmas! This is technically a sequel to King of My Heart, but you can read it as a standalone as well.
-------------------------------------------------
“Go away,” you murmur at the insistent buzzing tormenting you. Instead of listening to you, it grows even more insistent and louder.
“I said go away!!” You pick up your pillow, only to shove it on top of your head. Even through all the layers, you hear a deep grunt beside you as a heavy weight falls over your side. You whine in protest, but the buzzing sound finally stops.
You sigh in relief, not bothering to remove the pillow, instead content to fall back asleep with it as an extra layer. The peace doesn’t last for long, as the end of the pillow lifts up, letting light into your cocoon. You squint blearily towards it, seeing the outline of your boyfriend’s face lit up like a halo.
“Binnie, no…whyyyyy,” you protest, but a smirk plays across his pouty lips as he wraps his arms around you, dragging you closer to him and the daylight that you wish would just go away.
“Becauseeeee,” he giggles into your neck, planting soft kisses along the way. “Someone said they wanted to pick out a Christmas tree today, did they not?”
“Well that was before this exhausting week happened, and we didn’t go to bed till like 3am last night,” you whine.
“Hmm…I wonder why that was,” Changbin replies, raising an eyebrow at you as he rolls you over, your knees now straddling across his hips. You can see his eyes darken momentarily as you both remember what distraction kept you up so late.
“Okay…worth it, would repeat, 10/10 would recommend…but still! It’s so cold outside, and it’s so warm in here, and cozy…why would I not want to curl up with my cute, sexy boyfriend in bed?” You lean down, planting a slow, soft kiss on his lips.
As he draws back, he sighs and runs a gentle hand across your cheek. “You make a good argument, but I want to go to the Christmas tree farm with my gorgeous, sexy girlfriend. Tell you what, we go get the tree, decorate it, and then we can cuddle and watch a movie later.” Your eyebrow raises in question. “Nightmare Before Christmas?” You nod happily at his suggestion, rolling off the bed, suddenly filled with excitement.
—-------------------------------------------
A couple of hours later, you’re pulling into the parking lot of a Christmas tree farm a little ways out of the city. You can’t help grinning as you look over at your boyfriend, dressed in a cozy sweater, scarf, and glasses…it just might be one of your favorite looks on him.
“...what?” he asks nervously. Whoops, you must have been staring longer than you thought.
“Nothing, you just look handsome, that’s all.” You lean in, landing a peck on the tip of his nose. He scrunches it in response, smiling at you.
“Thanks, pretty.” He holds out his gloved hand for you to take, leading you towards the many rows of fir trees in front of you.
—-------------------------------
On the 5th row, you think you’ve found the one. About 6.5 feet tall, not too wide, and no bare spots.
“This will look so good in the living room!” you squeal, clapping your hands. Changbin nods emphatically, agreeing with you.
With help from the staff at the farm, Changbin is able to tie the tree to the top of the car. “Wanna explore before we go home? I saw that they had snacks and a craft fair as well.” It’s your turn to nod, and you grab his hand and lead the way to an indoor section of the farm. As soon as you enter, your senses are overwhelmed in the best way. There’s plush seating by several fireplaces lining the walls, you can smell cider and baked goods, and kids are excitedly yelling while they run around.
You both take off your gloves, and as Changbin reaches to take your hand again, he squeezes it. You look over to see him grinning at you. “Where to first?” you ask.
“I think I might die if I don’t have some cider, it smells so good,” he laughs, pulling you towards the nearest booth selling the beverage. After paying, he hands you a cup, the other finding your empty hand again.
The two of you wander around the craft fair booths, admiring homemade toys, quilts, and jams. You even pick one out for Changbin’s mom as a gift, seeing as you’re visiting for the holidays in a week or so. “She’ll love it,” he smiles, kissing your forehead. “Just like she loves you.” Your face grows hot at the statement, but you’re pleased nevertheless.
After wandering around for a while, the two of you find yourselves sinking into a velvet couch in front of a fireplace. Your head rests on Changbin’s shoulder, and you let out a contented sigh.
“Penny for your thoughts?” he asks, kissing the crown of your head.
“I’m happy we came to get the tree…thanks for convincing me.” You look up at him, smiling.
“I mean, you drive a hard bargain…tomorrow, I’m definitely staying in bed with you to cuddle…and maybe some other things.” He winks at you as you swat at his arm, which causes him to laugh squeakily.
“Seriously…this is so nice. It just feels cozy, like home. Mostly cause I’m here with you.” Changbin opens his mouth to respond, but nothing comes out. You can see that his ears have turned a deep shade of red, almost matching your sweater.
All he can manage to do is lean forward and begin pressing soft kisses over your face and the crown of your head, ending with a longer, more insistent one on your lips. You can feel him smiling into the kiss, which makes you smile as well. As you lean back to break away, he simply chases you into the corner of the couch, his hand finding purchase on the nape of your neck, his fingers in your hair as he continues kissing you.
“Binnie, we’re in public!” you hiss, though he can tell you’re not too upset by the look you give him.
“You didn’t care too much about that after our first date, now, did you?” He wiggles his eyebrows and laughs.
“That was at my apartment, this is in public public!” You’re becoming a little frazzled, and he tucks an errant strand of hair behind your ear.
“Look up, pretty.” You follow his gaze up towards the ceiling, where you see mistletoe hanging from a Victorian style streetlamp that the farm has used for decor. At this, you can’t help but start to giggle.
“Well, in that case…” You lean forward again, connecting your lips with his, nipping lightly at his bottom lip. His hands find your waist, squeezing for a second before letting you go. Luckily, everyone around you had been too wrapped up in their own holiday festivities to notice your PDA.
“I’m really glad I met you at that party all those months ago…even though I made you spill beer on your shoes,” Changbin murmurs against your hair, back in the cuddled up position you had started in. “You feel like home to me too.”
You sit in comfortable silence for a while, listening to the crackle of the fireplace and the hum of the people around you.
“Should we get going and get the tree home? I wouldn’t want you to miss out on your spooky Christmas movie fix. I’ll even make you dinner, how’s that sound?”
“Amazing. I love you, Binnie.” You two don’t say this too often, though you know it to be true.
“Love you more, pretty.”

Part of Your World
Pairing: merman!Changbin x reader
Genre: Fluff, small amounts of angst
Word Count: 8.6k
Warnings: Mildly suggestive, brief mentions of blood/pain
Author's Note: Song of the day is Part of Your World from The Little Mermaid! Here it is @bluejutdae, the merman Binnie fic that no one asked for...but in all seriousness, this was so fun to write and I have a soft spot in my heart for this Binnie.
------------------------------------------
The waves lap against the shoreline, the dull roar of the ocean echoing off the rocks. You breathe deeply and let out a giant sigh. This. This was what you needed…time alone, time off, time out. A break to reset your mind, rethink your goals, and time to figure out where to go next.
Stress had been eating away at you for entirely too long. You weren’t quite happy with your job, but you didn’t know what you wanted to do instead. You had made friends but not any that felt truly significant in your life. Your parents had graciously lent you their beach house, the one you had spent every summer growing up going to. Even in the two days since you had arrived, you had already felt more clear headed. Each day was the same-wake up without an alarm, make a cup of coffee, read on the porch, walk along the beach, make lunch, read some more (on the beach) and then relax on the couch until dinnertime.
You had arrived at the ‘read on the beach’ portion of your day yet again, which maybe was your favorite. You had picked a lighthearted romance to accompany you today, which felt only appropriate for your surroundings. The beach was quiet this afternoon…probably because you had come in the off season, the weather not quite warm enough for bathing suits yet. Nevertheless, you were excited to start your new book and enjoy the sounds of the ocean in the background. After a few chapters, you find yourself nodding off in your chair due to just how relaxed you are.
You wake to the sound of the surf crashing against an outcropping of rocks not too far away from you. The book you’re reading falls to the sand as you stand up, squinting down at your watch to see what time it is. 7:43 already?! Sure enough, on the horizon you can see the sun starting to dip beyond where the skyline meets the water. As you’re looking out, you suddenly see a flash of something that almost looks metallic glinting in the waning sunlight, just beyond the outcropping of rocks. You move forward until you’re on the edge of the shoreline. Maybe you made it up…what would be reflecting sunlight like that at this time of day? Right before you give up and head back to your house, you see it again. Something reflecting the sun, brighter than the top of the water.
This time, you start to walk out towards the object. Maybe someone lost something valuable and you could retrieve it and help them out. Before long, you’re up to your waist in the water, your shorts waterlogged. Undeterred, you go further, and before long, you’re treading water near the outcropping of rocks, looking for whatever this mysterious object is…but you see nothing. You swim around to the other side of the rocks…still nothing. By this time, the sun has crept most of the way beyond the horizon and you’re starting to shiver. You had worn a sweatshirt to keep warm from the occasional breeze, and it’s become heavy with water and is starting to irritate your skin. As you turn to swim back towards the shore, your body suddenly is lifted up by a wave and on the way down, you scrape your arm against the rocks. You gasp in pain, pulling it towards you to see how badly you’re hurt. What you don’t see is another wave coming your way. It pulls you up again and crashes down, pushing you under the water. You fight to make your way back to the surface, but the force of the wave leaves it unclear which way is up. You twist your body around, finally gaining traction, when there it is again…a metallic glint of something, this time under the water. And…it almost looks…pink? That’s the last thought you have as the current slams your body into the rocks and you float into unconsciousness.
—-------------------------------------
You wake with a start, coughing violently and spitting out what feels like liters of water. Your lungs and throat burn from all the salt and it’s difficult to catch your breath for a minute or two. You eventually sit up and notice it’s now completely dark outside. How long have you been unconscious? As you sit trying to gather yourself, you hear what sounds like faint humming coming from the water…more specifically, from the outcropping of rocks. You get to your feet unsteadily, warily walking towards the water, but not close enough to touch the water. It’s definitely humming…and it sounds like a man’s voice? You can’t make out the words, if there even are any…and just as your feet are starting to touch the edge of the ocean, you hear a large splash directly behind where you know the rocks end. It’s too dark to see anything, but you take that as your cue to gather your items, go back to your house, and go to bed.
You sleep later than you have in a while after your scare, and you spend the next few days avoiding the beach. You have no idea what you heard (surely there was not a person humming in the middle of the night?), and the giant splash also remains a mystery. Maybe it’s better to just forget about what happened. Maybe you should just move on…so you decide to finally brave the beach again, this time staying away from the water and sticking to your beach chair to read.
The afternoon goes by uneventfully, and you’re about halfway through your book when you get a couple of notifications on your phone. You pull the device from your bag and see a text from your friend Caroline asking how your mini-vacation is going. You smile to yourself as you pull up the other notification, and your smile immediately drops as you see a weather alert for an incoming storm that is supposed to have high speed winds and the potential to develop into a tornado.
You start to put everything back into your bag to leave when you notice another figure further down the beach. As the figure draws closer, you see it’s a man that seems to be around your age, maybe a little younger. He’s dressed in oversized clothes, a holey white shirt almost reaching the knees of his equally holey black pants. He looks lost in the clothes more than seeming it’s a look he’s trying to achieve, and as he comes closer, you see that his face also looks lost. You debate asking if he needs any help, but before you decide one way or another, he notices you and heads your way.
You smile tentatively as he draws closer. “Are you okay?” you ask.
“...me?”
“Well, I don’t see anyone else wandering down the beach. You know it’s about to storm, right?”
“I didn’t know, exactly…but I kinda figured. The clouds don’t look too happy,” he replies, brushing his damp bangs out of his eyes.
“Are you lost or something?” The man’s eyebrows raise to meet his hair, eyes going wide.
“Kind of…it’s a long story. One that you probably wouldn’t believe most of anyway,” he says, shyly rubbing the back of his neck.
You cross your arms over your chest, unimpressed. “Try me.” He grins in return, the smile lighting up his whole face.
“I would, but I’m a little more worried about where I’m going to wait out this storm.” The man grimaces as the sky, as if on cue, starts to drop large raindrops onto the sand.
You could invite this stranger into your home to wait out the storm…but he’s a stranger. But it would be cruel to leave him in a storm, right? Before you have time to think any more, the raindrops become more steady, leaving cold rivulets down both of your arms.
“What’s your name?” you ask.
“Changbin. Yours?”
You tell Changbin your name in return, and just as you begin to ask if he wants to wait out the storm with you, the rain turns into a full=--out downpour.
“Follow me!” you yell over the storm, quickly grabbing your bag, slinging it over your shoulder and breaking into a jog towards your house.
Changbin struggles behind you. Not only is his clothing slowing him down with how baggy it is, but he’s running as if…as if he’s never run a day in his life, you notice. It’s baffling to you, but without thinking, you reach back for his hand to make sure he’s able to keep up with you and knows where to go.
The two of you arrive soaked on your porch, dripping everywhere. You dig around in a storage box for towels and you hand him one. Changbin watches you as you place the towel around your shoulders and quietly copies you as you wring out your shirt and try to dry your hair. This baffles you as well…how does an adult man not know how to run properly, and then needs prompting to dry off with a towel? Nevertheless, you unlock the front door and go inside, with him following closely behind you.
“You’re not like a serial killer or something, right?” you suddenly blurt, turning to face Changbin. He lets out a giggle and shakes his head at you.
“I have never killed anything or anyone in my life, and I wasn’t planning on starting anytime soon.” You let out a relieved laugh, though you aren’t completely sure about him yet.
You show him to the guest room and tell him you’re going to change clothes and that he can do the same, just borrowing some of your brother’s old clothes.
You both emerge a few minutes later, you in a pair of sweatpants and an oversized t-shirt, Changbin in gym shorts and a black tee that almost looks too tight as it hugs his very defined chest. Not that you noticed or anything. Ahem.
He follows you this time to the living room and you motion for him to sit on the couch as you go into the kitchen and make the two of you a cup of tea. Just as you hand him a mug and sit down beside him, there’s a bright flash of lightning and following that, the power promptly goes out.
Without warning, Changbin grasps at your hand, nervously gripping it. Your other hand reaches for his wrist and pats gently, reassuring him.
“Changbin, it’s fine, it’s just the power. I have some candles somewhere around here…let me find them.”
He says nothing in reply, but his grip doesn’t ease.
“...that requires you to let go of my hand,” you say gently. Changbin clears his throat and lets out a nervous chuckle.
“Sorry about that.”
“It’s okay…I’ll be right back.”
You get up and feel around for your side table that has a drawer, knowing there are candles inside. After bumping your hip into both an armchair and another table, Changbin loudly protesting that you should just come back and sit down to stop from hurting yourself, you finally find the correct table and gather a few candles along with a lighter. You place them around the room, putting the last one on the table in front of the couch. As the light illuminates his face, you notice Changbin looking amazed. He slides from the couch onto his knees, face even with the candle.
“What, have you never seen a candle before?” you laugh, but he shakes his head slowly, eyes still trained on the flame in front of him. He suddenly seems to realize what he’s admitted, looking up and locking eyes with you.
“Who are you? What’s your story I won’t believe?” you muse aloud, half to yourself.
Changbin stands and situates himself back onto the couch and pats the seat beside him.
“I think you’re going to want to sit for this…”
—--------------------------------------
“So you’re telling me…you’re a merman?!” you whisper-yell, though no one is around to hear you except Changbin. He nods.
“And you’re a human because…?”
“Because my brother found a spellbook, and he wanted to help ‘cause he knew that I’d always been fascinated by the human world, so he cast a spell and now I’m human. That’s why I was wearing those clothes when you found me.”
You sit, mouth slightly ajar from all the information you’re trying to process at once.
“What are the parameters of the spell then? Aren’t you supposed to give up your voice or something?” Changbin cocks his head at you, looking like a confused dog.
“Why would I have to give up my voice, how would that be helpful?” You wave off his question impatiently, motioning for him to continue explaining.
“The problem is, I don’t know what the parameters are…and neither did Hyunjin when he did the spell. He’s not exactly a sea witch or anything. So I guess I’m just making the best of it while I can…I want to experience everything that I can!” He gets louder as he gets more excited until it looks like he’s about to bounce out of his seat. It makes you smile.
“Well…for starters, you can stay here in my brother’s room. Unless you figured out something else?” Changbin gives a small shake of his head. “I don’t know how good of a tour guide to humanity I’ll be, but I can try.” His smile makes his eyes crinkle.
“I’ll repay you by teaching you how to swim properly,” he chuckles.
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Oh, um…well…I kind of saw you the other day. You almost died!” he exclaims, hands gesticulating wildly. “You need to be a strong enough swimmer to save your own life.”
“You mean the day I passed out and washed up on shore? Wait a minute…was that you?!” Changbin nods sheepishly. “I went out in the water because I saw you! Your tail! It was reflecting the sunset so beautifully…” A blotchy flush starts to work its way up his neck towards his face.
“But you almost died! Forget my tail…”
“Did the current wash me back up onto shore? I don’t remember anything until I woke up on the beach,” you muse, trying to recall what might have happened.
Changbin shakes his head again. “I…I grabbed you once you fell unconscious and pulled you back onto land,” he says quietly. “I couldn’t watch you die, no matter what any of my brothers say about the human world.”
Before you’re fully aware of what your own body is doing, you find yourself on the couch beside him enveloping him in a hug. His arms find their way around you, mirroring your actions.
“Thank you,” you whisper, tears collecting on your lash line. He pulls you in even closer somehow, his warmth burning through your clothes.
“Hey, hey…no crying! You’re here, right? I told you, I wasn’t going to let someone die on my watch. Especially not a girl as pretty as you,” he laughs. You look up at him, and you can feel heat emanating from your face that has nothing to do with the hug. “But like I said…I’m teaching you how to swim properly so I don’t have to worry about you when I’m not around.” You give a small nod, wiping the remnants of your tears away.
—--------------------------------
And so the days pass, Changbin staying with you and learning bit by bit about the human world. You take him grocery shopping, introduce him to ice cream, and show him everything you find comforting about the small town you used to vacation in. You point out the community theater you used to perform summer musicals in, go to the local coffee shop to get your favorite vanilla latte (Changbin finds that he is partial to their hazelnut latte), and take walks along the shoreline at sunset. It’s on one of these walks that you find yourself asking him more about his brothers.
“Chan is the oldest, and he acts like it…super mature, super dependable. Minho’s a little older than me, but he’s kinda off in his own world. Loves animals. Then Hyunjin is next after me, he’s the one who turned me human. Jisung is the next youngest, he’s always hanging out with Minho. He’s very talented at music. Felix is the literal embodiment of sunshine and bubbles, you’d love him, everyone does. Seungmin is a menace, but very funny. And Jeongin’s the baby, but we all know he’s the one who’s really in charge.” You laugh at this, enjoying watching him explain his family dynamics. “What about you?”
“What about me?”
“What’s your family like?” Changbin is so earnest, it takes you aback.
“I mean, nothing that exciting. I’m decently close with my parents, and I have a younger sister. We don’t talk all the time, but we don’t not get along. There’s not much to say.”
“So why are you here then? At your summer house…alone?” You stop walking and he does the same, still looking at you.
“Work’s been…hard. Not even the job itself, but I just moved again and I’m still getting used to everything. I needed a break, so I came here. Where everything is familiar. Well, it was until you came along.” You nudge his shoulder playfully, but he looks thoughtful.
“Did I ruin your break?” he asks.
“What? No, no, of course not!” You shake your head vehemently.
“You can tell me if I did…I am staying in your house and taking up an awful lot of your time.”
You shake your head again. “No, really, it’s fine…honestly, you’ve made it better. If I had been alone the whole time, I would have gotten way too into my head and it would have been a mess. I’ve enjoyed showing you what it’s like to be a human…well, at least what it’s like to live my life.”
“I love it! Your life is so…cozy? I’m not sure that’s the right word, but it feels so comfortable being with you.” He’s not sure what comes over him, but Changbin reaches out and grabs your hand, motioning you to continue your walk. You start walking again as the sun dips behind the horizon, but his hand remains with yours.
“You know, I don’t normally let strange men into my house.” He laughs. “But I’m glad I invited you in during that storm…I’ve felt comfortable too.” You squeeze his hand, and he returns the gesture.
The moon is almost full, illuminating the beach as you walk. In the distance, Changbin notices a building looming large. “What’s that?” he asks, gesturing with your intertwined hands. You follow the gesture with your eyes, realizing what it is even in the dark.
“Oh, that’s the sea turtle center! They do a lot of work during the summer, the turtles come and lay their eggs a little further down the beach. They’re actually throwing their annual charity ball in a week or so to raise funds for their summer season.”
Changbin’s eyes go wide with excitement, almost sparkling in the moonlight.
“What?” you laugh. He reaches and grabs your other hand, turning you to face him fully.
“Can we go? Are we allowed to?” You can’t think of a reason why not, so you nod. His excitement is palpable as a smile takes over his face and he shakes your hands back and forth.
“I’m so excited for you to teach me how to dance!”
—----------------------------------------------
And that’s how you find yourself in your dining room a week later, table and chairs pushed to the side to make a temporary dance floor. Changbin has one hand around your waist, the other grasped in yours. You’d been teaching him how to ballroom dance for the past hour, starting with a simple box step and working your way up to a waltz.
“The timing of this feels so weird,” he laughs as the two of you step together. You giggle as you fall off balance and out of step with the 1-2-3 timing.
“It does at first, but when you get it right, it feels like you’re floating across the floor,” you sigh dreamily. “The closest we’ll get to flying.”
A soft smile works its way onto Changbin’s face, and he repositions himself to start the dance again, pulling you even closer to him than before.
“Let’s try again,” he says.
“Are you sure? We’ve been at this for an hour, we can take a break.”
He squeezes your hip gently in response. “I’m sure…I want to fly with you.”
Your head falls to his shoulder at this remark, hiding your face from him. “Are you okay? Did I do something wrong?” His voice rumbles through his chest, the vibrations making their way to where your forehead meets his shirt. You shake your head, still hiding your face. “Look at me…please?” he pleads, voice laden with the beginnings of worry.
You lift your head slowly, your eyes finally meeting his gaze.
“You’re okay?” You nod. “Why did you react that way?” You swallow nervously, picking at your fingernails. You can practically feel your face getting blotchy with embarrassment.
“What you said…that’s why I reacted that way.” Changbin raises an eyebrow, still not quite comprehending. “It’s…it’s the most romantic thing anyone’s ever said to me. And I’ve only just met you.” Your breath hitches at the realization, and you’re shocked by the sudden tears swimming in your eyes.
“Hey, hey…there’s no need to cry, pretty,” he places his hands gently on the sides of your face, rubbing his thumb where an errant tear had escaped your lash line. His kindness causes more tears to make their way down your cheeks and he simply stands there in the silence with you, wiping them away as they come. After a few minutes, he tentatively reaches for your hand and brings you over to the couch, where he lays a blanket over you once you’ve sat down.
You start to protest, but he quiets you by telling you he’ll be right back. He pads off to the kitchen and returns ten minutes later with a mug of hot chocolate that he extends to you. “Be careful, it’s hot,” he warns, gently placing it into your open hands.
You look at the swirling mini marshmallows that are floating on the steaming chocolate and turn to Changbin who has sat down next to you. At the questioning look on your face, he turns playfully indignant. “Hey! I made not have ever made hot chocolate before, but I can read instructions!” You laugh, and he moves his arm around your shoulder drawing him into his warmth. “Is this okay?” He looks nervous as he searches your face for any sign of impending tears. You nod, adjusting to become more comfortable to show him that you’re fine.
Changbin draws the blanket around the both of you and turns the tv on to start a movie. You can’t help but laugh as you see that he’s chosen The Little Mermaid. Your laughter doubles as you watch the faces of disbelief that he makes throughout the movie, with loud exclamations about how life underwater is nothing like what is being portrayed.
“It’s a movie, Binnie,” you insist, still giggling.
“Huh?” He looks over at you, eyes wide.
“It’s a movie, I said.”
“No, I know that…what did you call me?”
You sit up cautiously. “...Binnie? Is that okay?” It’s your turn to be nervous. You’d never called him that, but it had just slipped out.
“I love it,” he smiles, the fullness of it crinkling his eyes into half moons. You breathe a sigh of relief, sinking back into the warmth of his hold.
Between the hot chocolate, blanket, and Changbin’s body heat, you find yourself nodding off towards the end of the movie. Changbin notices and starts drawing shapes on your arm with his thumb, hoping to further soothe you into slumber…and it works.
He smiles down at you folded into the crook of his arm, deep breaths reassuring him that you were getting the rest you needed. He cautiously leans down, careful not to disturb you, and places a gentle kiss on the top of your head. You smell like coconut and the ocean, which makes him smile.
“You deserve to be told romantic things every day,” he murmurs into the crown of your head. “Every single day.”
—--------------------------------------------
You wake to the sunrise, still on the couch, vaguely remembering that you must have fallen asleep during the movie you were watching the night before. You stretch your legs out from where they were curled into your side and realize that you are still snuggled into Changbin’s side, except his head is now on top of yours from whenever he eventually fell asleep as well. You can’t help but smile to yourself as you slowly attempt to disentangle yourself from the man next to you. Just as you think you’re going to make your escape, he lets out a muffled whine and tightens his grip around you, forcing the side of your face into his chest. You laugh, reaching your hand to slowly draw shapes on his side.
“Binnie…” you murmur softly, tracing your fingers up and down his torso. Nothing. “Binnie…” you try again, this time a little louder. As your hand hits his waist again, he twitches and his eyes snap open.
“Stop, that tickles!” he whines, burying his face into your hair.
“Good morning to you too, sleepyhead,” you laugh, but stop the movements of your hand.
“That’s rich coming from you, the one who fell asleep right before the end of the movie.” Changbin gently disentangles himself from you, and you can see him playfully roll his eyes as he stretches his arms above his head, a sliver of his stomach showing beneath his black shirt. Not that you noticed or anything.
“What time is it, anyway?” he asks. You squint over at the clock across the room.
“7:05.” He groans.
“It’s too early…why did you wake me up?” You laugh in response.
“The sun woke me up, take it up with Mother Nature.” He rolls his eyes again, but a smile plays across his features.
“Well, since we’re up, it’s a perfect time for you to learn to swim properly!” He reaches for your hand as he stands up, yanking you up with him. He’s a little forceful, making you reach out and stabilize yourself-with both your hands splayed across his chest.
“Little forward this morning, are we?” he wriggles his eyebrows suggestively, causing you to break out in a fit of giggles.
“Something like that,” you concede, reaching out to sweep an errant curl off his forehead. Changbin’s eyes soften as you do so, mapping out every detail of your expression.
“You’re really pretty. You know that, right?” He tilts his head, looking at you.
“Changbin, I literally look like I just got dragged through a bush backwards, but I appreciate you trying to be nice.”
“I’m not being nice…I’m being blunt, if anything,” he muses, still cataloging your face. Though his eyes have also started to roam the rest of your body as well.
“My hair is a rat’s nest, my makeup is smeared from falling asleep…and I think I have dried drool on the corner of my mouth?!” you realize in horror, trying to wipe your face clean.
Changbin grabs your hand and stops it mid-motion, then takes over himself. Wipes the corner of your mouth with his thumb, moving to gently swipe under your eyes where your mascara has flaked. You can feel the heat emanating from your face, burning with embarrassment.
“No need to be embarrassed, pretty.” You duck your head, feeling called out. “Look at me.” You raise your head to look at Changbin again. “You are really pretty. Always. But I think this might be my favorite.” He smiles shyly at you.
“Why?” you whisper.
“Because…because you’re rested. Because you’re taking care of yourself. Because I think I might be the only person that gets to see you like this.” You nod almost imperceptibly, confirming his statement. His smile grows and he gently holds your face between his hands.
“Can I kiss you?” The tips of his ears are red as he asks the question, searching your eyes hopefully. You lean closer, your breath fanning across his full lips.
“I’d like that,” you breathe, and before you can move any further, Changbin has closed the space between you, lips slotting over yours.
You sigh into the kiss, and you can feel Changbin’s smile in return as he moves his hands from your face to your waist, squeezing and drawing you closer to himself.
What starts as very sweet and tentative quickly becomes more urgent, with your hands tangled in his curls, his moving under your shirt. A sigh escapes your lips as you feel his thumbs ghost the undersides of your breasts, and he takes the opportunity to slot his tongue into your mouth, which you welcome.
After a few moments, you both come up for air and Changbin breaks into a fit of laughter.
“What’s so funny?”
“Nothing really…it’s just that I never could have predicted this would happen when I got turned into a human. I’m really gonna have to thank Hyunjin the next time I see him, huh?”
This causes you to join in his laughter, and you pull him close again to land a soft kiss on his nose.
“I guess you have to. After you introduce me, of course. Also…I believe I was promised a swimming lesson?”
“Ah yes, an excuse to see me half naked.” Changbin rolls his eyes and you swat his chest playfully. “You’ll get your swimming lesson after breakfast, can’t have you passing out on me again.” He grabs your hand, intertwining your fingers and pulling you towards the kitchen.
“One sunrise special coming up!”
—-----------------------------------------
And that’s how you end up spending most of the day in the ocean with Changbin. Your swimming skills aren’t quite as bad as he thought (you did get thrown into a rock by a wave, after all), but he’s still able to adjust your form on several different strokes. Even when you’re not doing much, it seems like he’s able to find some way to have his hand ghost along your lower back…or he finds an excuse to sweep strands of wet hair behind your ear…or he’s tightening the strings of your swimsuit ‘just in case’.
Once you notice your fingers starting to get wrinkly, the two of you collapse onto towels on the shore. You’re silent for a while, content to rest in each others’ presence. Then something you’ve been thinking about for a while escapes your lips.
“Don’t you miss your brothers?”
Changbin turns to face you, his lips forming a small pout. “Sure I do. I mean, I don’t miss Seungmin teasing me all the time or Chan’s terrible dad jokes, but generally I do miss them…yeah.”
“I’m sorry,” you whisper, studying his expression as his brow furrows.
“Why are you sorry? You haven’t done anything wrong, lovely.” He reaches his hand towards you, making a grabby motion until you reach out and intertwine your fingers with his.
“I dunno…I just feel bad that I can’t do anything to fix it or help. Maybe I should’ve been helping you research how to turn back into a merman or something, instead I’ve just been taking up all your time with silly things like dancing and swimming and showing you around town,” you huff.
“I’ve loved doing those things with you. I can’t believe all the things I used to just see in books, or from far away, I’ve gotten to do. With you.” You smile at the pink tinting his cheeks. “I get to go to a ball with you in a few days…it’ll be like that story you told me about, what was it again?”
“You mean Cinderella?” you laugh, and he nods excitedly.
“You just gotta promise not to run away at midnight and turn into a pumpkin, or whatever it was.” He leans up onto his forearms, scooting himself closer to you. “Can you do that?”
“I can’t make any promises about what happens if I’m up that late past my bedtime, Binnie.” He huffs out a laugh before swooping in for a quick peck to your lips.
“Fine, fine. I can’t wait to see you in your dress…I just know you’re going to be the most beautiful person there.” Changbin’s eyes are sparkling as he looks at you, and it makes you feel gooey inside.
“We’ll see about that.”
—-------------------------------------------
“...I told you, gorgeous.” Changbin lets out a low whistle as you come out of your bedroom and into the living room where he’s waiting. He’s wearing a three piece navy suit to match your floor length sparkly navy gown.
“You look amazing too,” you reply. “So handsome.” You run your hands over his lapel and then down his arms, stopping to squeeze his biceps. “Be careful, you might rip your jacket,” you smirk.
“Hands off, ma’am…this is a classy affair.” You dissolve into a fit of giggles and Changbin tries to keep a straight face but fails miserably, his own squeaky giggles echoing your own. Once the two of you collect yourselves, he offers his arm to you and you gladly accept.
Though it’s not far, you end up driving to the conservation center to save your feet from walking any more in heels than they need to. As you enter the ballroom, you gasp. They’ve outdone themselves with the decorations-the ceiling is full of twinkling lights wrapped through gauze, there are multiple tables laden with appetizers, desserts, and drinks, and the dancefloor is massive. As you walk towards an empty table, a waiter walks by and offers the two of you champagne, which you take happily. You claim two spaces and turn to see Changbin’s eyes grow wide as he sips his drink.
“It’s so…bubbly!” He exclaims, and you laugh at his expression.
“I guess you’ve never had alcohol before, huh?” He shakes his head. “It’ll make you a little lightheaded if you don’t eat anything, let’s grab some food.”
The two of you walk over to one of the many food tables, and Changbin starts loading down his plate with at least one of everything, multiple if he thinks something looks especially good. He notices you being more careful with your choices and raises his brow in confusion.
“Why aren’t you trying anything else? It all looks so good!” He lifts his own plate toward you as evidence.
“This dress is already tight, I don’t want to be bloated and it shows…or worst case, I rip a seam or something.” Your face blanches at the thought.
Changbin immediately grabs your hand and steers you back toward your table. Once you’ve taken a seat, he starts putting items from his plate onto a fork and holds it up to you.
“Try it,” he pleads with puppy dog eyes. You begrudgingly obey and he gently places the food in your mouth. It’s some sort of quiche tartlet with ham you think…or maybe bacon. Either way, it’s delicious and you can’t help the moan that escapes your lips at the taste. Changbin’s eyes light up at your delight. “See, it’s so good! I told you!”
You spend the next ten to fifteen minutes sharing Changbin’s plate with him. He takes a bite, then insists that you take the next…until you’ve had tartlets, sliders, trifles, assorted crackers with cheeses and jams, and they’re all unbelievably delicious.
“Full?” he asks, and you nod, feeling sated. “Good. You’ve got a little bit of jam…just there…” He leans in and meets your mouth with his, swiping his tongue gently over your lower lip. As he moves back, you notice his eyes have darkened. “Delicious,” he smirks as he leans into his chair. As if suddenly remembering something, he sits up closer to you and reaches over to run his hands down your sides, his mouth hovering close to your ear. “This dress shows every last curve on your body, and I love it…I’m just jealous I’m not the only one who gets to see it.”
Before you can even think to reply, he’s moved to stand by your side, holding a hand out towards you.
“May I have this dance?”
—-----------------------------------------
For having just learned to dance, Changbin is impressive. He’s able to lead you successfully through a few opening dances, and freestyles hilariously (though still on beat). The night is full of champagne bubbles, stolen kisses, and soft laughter.
You feel truly content for the first time in a long time as you slow dance, your forehead tilted and touching Changbin’s. “How are you real?” you breathe out without thinking.
“I could ask the same of you, you know.” He places a gentle kiss on your temple and sways with you on the dancefloor.
You swallow thickly as you lift your eyes to meet his. “What happens…what happens when you go back?” Changbin’s brow furrows as he considers your question.
“Maybe I don’t go back,” his answer is tentative, searching for your response. Your eyes grow wide.
“You-you want to stay human?”
Before he can answer, there’s a commotion across the room. You try to see what’s happening, even reaching up on your tiptoes, but just as a lanky figure with black hair comes into view, a silky voice travels from the stranger to the two of you, making goosebumps erupt across your skin.
“Hello, brother.”
—---------------------------------------
“Hyunjin?! What’re you-how are you-you’re here?!” Changbin splutters in disbelief. The stranger, who you now know is his brother, merely nods with a small smile on his face.
Changbin closes the space with the taller man and envelopes him in a hug that makes Hyunjin wince before he gently extracts himself. “How are you here?” Changbin repeats, still wide eyed.
“Same as you, brother. I made myself into a human…you were surprisingly hard to track down tonight.” Hyunjin walks towards the conservation center’s balcony, away from the crowd and you and Changbin follow.
“Why were you looking for me?” Hyunjin crosses his arms over his chest and raises a brow at his older brother’s question.
“Did you really not think I would find you eventually? Did you plan on being a human forever?” A snide laugh escapes Hyunjin’s lips at his own question.
At this, Changbin crosses his arms over his chest matching the man before him. “And what if I did?” Your eyes grow wide at his response and you step towards him, reaching for his hand. As Changbin firmly intertwines your fingers, Hyunjin follows the motion with his eyes, a smirk taking over his features.
“Ah yes…this must be the reason you think you could stay human.” Hyunjin cocks his head to the side, appraising you. “I suppose she is rather pretty,” he admits, reaching out and tucking a loose hair behind your ear.
Changbin steps forward, angling himself between you and Hyunjin. “Don’t touch her.”
Hyunjin huffs out a laugh. “And what are you going to do to stop me? I’m the one who turned you into a human in the first place…you wouldn’t have even met her if it wasn’t for me.” His voice is dripping with derision as he looks over the two of you.
“What happened to you? The brother I know would never act like this.” Changbin sounds disappointed, and you can hear the sadness behind his words.
“The brother you know? You were always so happy to be in your own little world, daydreaming about the human world, being so close with Chan…do you even know why I agreed to help you turn into a human?” You see Changbin swallow thickly as he shakes his head. Hyunjin rolls his eyes. “Of course you don’t.”
Hyunjin gazes out at the shoreline from the edge of the balcony and lets out a giant sigh. “It’s because of the compass. It’s always been about the compass.”
“What compass?” you ask, the first words you’ve spoken since Hyunjin’s arrival. He cuts a quick glance to you and then goes back to staring at the water.
“Since Chan is the oldest, he has a compass. It’s the only thing we have related to our parents, it’s a magical relic of sorts…it can help you realize whatever your heart’s desire is. Dreams. Anyway, Chan refuses to use it, says he has his heart’s desire already, whatever that is. At some point, it would pass down to the other brothers. I knew Minho had no interest in it, he’s happy to live life the way he is. Which meant dear Changbin here was next in line.”
You look over at Changbin, and his expression is stormy. You squeeze his hand reassuringly, which seems to ground him. He steps a little closer to you and kisses your temple and runs his thumb over the back of your hand.
“How sweet.” Hyunjin’s voice is void of emotion as he watches the exchange. “As I was saying, he was in the way of me getting the compass. So I decided to offer him something he couldn’t say no to-a chance at being human. I knew he couldn’t resist, especially after he saved you…he wouldn’t shut up about it. I had picked up enough magic from studying how the compass worked to figure it out. And here we are.”
Changbin’s voice is shaky and small when he finally speaks. “So you tricked and manipulated me. Why are you here now, then? I’m sure you wouldn’t be here if you hadn’t gotten your hands on what you wanted.”
A small smile works its way onto Hyunjin’s face, one that looks like it actually may have some small sliver of kindness. “I did get what I wanted, actually. I convinced Chan to give it to me once he realized you were missing…I told him I would find you and bring you back. And here I am. I may have manipulated you, brother, but I would never leave you stranded. Pretty girl or not, you belong with us. As a merman.”
Hyunjin’s hands start to glow faintly, a turquoise that grows brighter as he begins to motion towards Changbin.
“Wait, we need to talk about this-Hyunjin, don’t-” Changbin protests, but Hyunjin doesn’t even seem to hear him. The glow has traveled from his hands and is making its way up his arms, and he almost seems to be in some sort of trance. Changbin notices as well, and moves towards his brother, reaching to grab his hands.
You move without thinking, stepping in front of Changbin and grasping Hyunjin’s hands. The turquoise glow slowly transfers from Hyunjin’s body to yours…but instead of traveling up your arms, it flows down towards your legs and feet. It feels like a million needles piercing through your skin and into your bones, and you let out an involuntary scream. The noise seems to break through Hyunjin’s trance, and his eyes widen in shock. He tries to remove his hands from yours, but they won’t budge.
“I-I can’t let go! Changbin, help!” All traces of bravado are gone from Hyunjin’s face, almost making him look like a small child. Changbin rushes behind his brother and wraps his hands around Hyunjin’s arms and pulls, but even with his added strength nothing happens.
You’ve collapsed to your knees at this point, pained whimpers escaping you every few seconds, tears streaming down your face from the pain. Changbin is on the verge of tears himsef, but he’s too afraid to touch you for fear of making things worse.
“Please just hold on…please. We’ll figure out how to fix this. We will. Promise.” His voice is small and scared, and it makes you cry even harder.
“I’m so sorry, I was just trying to help…I thought he was going to hurt you,” you hiccup. Just as you think you won’t be able to handle any more pain, the glow fades and you fully collapse onto the balcony floor. Changbin immediately rushes to you, cradling your upper half in his arms, alternating between running his hand over your hair and wiping away your tears.
“What did you do?!” he demands of Hyunjin, eyes full of fury. Hyunjin stares blankly down at the two of you in shock and just shakes his head.
Changbin turns to you as he stands, holding out a hand to help you up. “Let’s get you home, hmm?” His eyes are soft as he looks down at you. You reach up to grasp his hand, and as your fingers graze his, the needle feeling is back, but this time in your lungs.
“Binnie, I can’t…I can’t…it hurts…” you wheeze, gasping and holding your chest.
He drops to his knees immediately, hands flying to cup your face. “What hurts? What is it?” Changbin starts frantically checking you for injuries…your head, arms, torso…nothing. Until he reaches your legs. He gathers the fabric of your dress in his hands to check your legs and a shaky gasp leaves his lips. You look down and any amount of air you’d been able to gather in your lungs leaves.
Where your legs should be, there is a navy blue tail. A mermaid tail.
Changbin looks up at you, his mouth open in shock. “You’re…you…you can’t breathe!” he realizes, jumping up to his feet and rounding on Hyunjin. “What did you DO TO HER?!” he bellows this time. Before Hyunjin has a chance to answer, there’s a loud crack.
You look up, still gasping and only able to draw small breaths. Blood is pouring down Hyunjin’s face-Changbin has broken his nose. You’re suddenly being picked up-Changbin is carrying you to the ocean at a jog. Once you reach the shoreline, he slows as he wades out into the water with you. Once you’re submerged up to your chest, you gasp in a large breath…the feeling of stabbing needles is gone, and you’re able to regulate your breathing.
“Are you okay?” Changbin whispers, eyes wide.
You nod as the waves lap against your arms. “I always wanted to be a mermaid when I was little.” Changbin lets out a choked laugh at your response.
“Well, for what it’s worth, your tail is also very pretty…I’ve never seen a navy blue one.” You bury your face in the crook of his neck at the compliment. “You’re getting embarrassed? After you were turned into a mermaid?! You’re awfully calm for someone who should be panicking…” You lean back in his arms, and notice he seems to be the one panicking.
You shrug. “I’m with you. Why would I panic?” you say simply. Tears gather and spill onto his cheeks.
“What did I ever do to deserve you?” he murmurs into your hair.
“Nothing. I chose you. And you deserve to be chosen.”
Changbin smiles and gently lowers you into the water, still holding your hands as he leads you out to deeper waters where you can swim comfortably.
“I choose you too. Mermaid or human,” he smiles, and you smile back. “But…we should probably figure out a way to turn you back. Your family will miss you too much.”
“...I think I can help with that.” A small voice reaches the two of you, and you look back to see Hyunjin slowly wading towards you.
“I think you’ve done quite enough for a whole lifetime, don’t you?” Changbin spits harshly, and Hyunjin flinches as he reaches you.
“I have…but I think I know how this can be fixed. And not with my magic.”
Changbin raises a brow, skeptical. “Let him talk,” you urge, laying a gentle hand on Changbin’s arm.
“Thanks.” Hyunjin sends a small smile your way. “I think I know how to fix this. No magic…well, none of mine anyway.”
“So whose, then? Chan? We are not bringing him into this…though I’m sure he’d love to know what you’ve been up to.”
“Not mine, not Chan’s…yours.”
“What do you mean, mine? I don’t have any magic, you know that!” Changbin’s voice raises with each sentence, more and more exasperated.
“I think you might with the compass,” Hyunjin says simply. “I know before you weren’t that interested in it, but I think that maybe has changed.” He looks over at you knowingly, and holds out his hand to his brother.
Changbin reaches out and Hyunjin drops a small brass compass into his hand.
“How does it work?”
“As far as I’ve figured out, it’s almost like all those fairytales we read when we were kids. You just need to close your eyes and think about whatever your heart’s desire is.”
Changbin looks at you with worry clouding his face. “What if it doesn’t work?” he whispers.
“What if it does?” You cup his cheeks in your hands and meet his lips with yours.
He smiles softly at you. “No matter what…I love you.” You gasp and he laughs. “Are you really that surprised?”
“I guess not,” you laugh, capturing his lips in another kiss.
“Ahem,” Hyunjin interrupts you, motioning towards the compass in Changbin’s hands.
“Right…I guess I’ll see you on the other side then.” Changbin closes his eyes and furrows his brow in concentration. There is silence for a moment, then the compass starts spinning, slowly at first, then furiously.
You exchange a nervous glance with Hyunjin, and when you look back at Changbin, there is a golden glow emitting from the compass as it continues to spin. As you watch, the glow gets brighter and brighter, until you have to cover your face and turn away.
After a few moments, the glow dies down enough for you to look back at Changbin. He opens his eyes tentatively. “Are you okay?” he asks, and you nod. “Your tail?” You lean back to float on your back, and to your surprise, your feet breach the surface of the water instead of the tail that was there a minute before. A huge smile breaks across Changbin’s face and he leans back as well, his feet next to yours.
At the sight, he pulls them back under him, spluttering as he accidentally swallows water in surprise. “I still have feet!” he manages to get out between coughs.
“What did you think about?” Hyunjin asks.
“I just thought about things being the way they should be.” Changbin’s voice is laced with confusion. “I figured it would turn her back into a human, but I thought I would be a merman again too.”
“Maybe you should be human. With her.” Hyunjin smiles, gesturing to you. Changbin’s eyes follow the motion and light up when he meets your eyes.
“I mean, I kinda hoped…but I didn’t want to try my luck or anything.” You’re smiling so hard it’s hurting your cheeks, even though you have tears running down your face.
“I get to keep you…I was so scared I was going to eventually lose you,” you confess. Changbin closes the gap between you, grabbing your hand and leading you to shallower water where he proceeds to lift and spin you in his arms.
“You’re never getting rid of me now,” he smirks and you giggle into the kiss he lands on your mouth as he gently places you back on the sand.
You wrap your arms around Changbin and sway slowly with him under the light of the stars.
“I’m so happy I get to be with you. For as long as you’ll have me.” Changbin smiles at your statement, burying his head in your neck and placing a gentle kiss on your shoulder. “Also, I forgot to tell you earlier…”
He raises his head and looks at you curiously.
“...I love you too.”

Stray kids family as an actual family
⚝fic type: headcannon (comedy/crack)
⚝genre/contains: a rundown of the kinds of relatives you will encounter at a typical family gathering, except it’s stray kids
⚝word count: 1.5k
⚝A/N: hi hi! if you’ve ever been to a large family gathering you’ll probably relate to one of these, no matter where you're from haha. did these from jeongin -> chan instead of the usual order to spice things up (◠‿◕) p.s: this is just for giggles so don't take it too seriously. enjoy!
。Yang Jeongin*゚
Grandma Jeongin has two modes, and she will be interrogating you either way.
Most of the time she’s talking about other family members while she cooks or cleans up the kitchen. Jeongin knows who is most likely to get married next, who will never get married, who’s about to get a divorce and even which of your cousins is at loggerheads with their respective bosses.
Whether she ends up being right about her crazy notions or not, she does not care. Jeongin will always have something to talk about, no matter how controversial it may be.
If you’re in the kitchen, then it seems you must automatically join in on these speculations. Better play it up, because it’ll distract her from putting you on dish duty- and get you early access to whatever she’s cooking up (a storm piece of cake).
“Help your grandmother,” she’ll grumble, if she figures she won’t get much out of you. “Kids these days. When I was your age I didn’t have to be asked. You’ll never find a spouse with this behaviour.”
At other times, your favourite granny is sweet once she’s been sated by her 4th cup of tea. Or a cup of soda, on days she’s feeling ‘adventurous and bold’. Jeongin will spontaneously call you over and ask you who your girlfriend or boyfriend is now. Jeongin wants to know what you’ve been doing with your whole life, but all in good faith haha.
Grandma Jeongin will also be commenting on your fashion choices and giving you rather outdated skincare tips on how to age gracefully like her.
。Kim Seungmin*゚
The cousin you’re always being compared to, academically or otherwise. Seungmin is 100% that overachiever who is constantly being praised by all your uncles and aunts who think the world of him.
It’s hard not to be jealous or annoyed when your parents compare you to your genius cousin and ask you unbelievable questions. “Why can’t you get A’s like Seungmin?”
No matter what you’ve done in your life, it seems Seungmin has outdone you lmao. He’s the golden child who can do no wrong and you just have to live with it.
In spite of the pressure to be perfect, Seungmin is still really fun to be around. He’ll also do your homework/projects for you if you ask nicely enough.
(Who are we kidding, this is Kim Seungmin. You’ll probably have to cough up some cash haha.)
。Lee Felix*゚
The fun cousin. Now, one person like this is enough to survive a family gathering.
Felix is the cousin who you need to show up. He’s the person who actually makes family gatherings tolerable. Like, if Felix doesn’t pull up then everyone is kind of bored.
He’s everyone’s favourite cousin; you can count on him to make those boring dinners interesting, and be your crime partner in the event you and your cousins plan to sneak out- distracting you guys’ parents with detailed stories of how he managed to win 63 medals in ‘taekwondaur’.
He’s the adults’ favourite, too. When you were children, and needed to send someone to ask for permission to game/watch TV, he was for sure the one appointed- because no one can say no to him.
When your grandmother is interrogating you and you can’t think of an exit plan, this cousin will charmingly swoop in and save your ass.In any kind of familial sticky situation, Felix has got your back.
。Han Jisung*゚
Han was probably forced to come lmfao. He was most likely threatened by his parents because they’re tired of being asked where their son is and why he won’t visit.
Jisung is that relative you see once in a blue moon. You’re not quite sure what side of the family he’s from, but you are somehow related. You barely know anything about this guy- what he does for a living, or if he’s been to college… Han Jisung is quite the mystery.
He’s the person that shows up late, leaves early, and is really just there for the food. You don’t really blame him, though; family gatherings can be exhausting. It’s understandable that some people would rather just bypass as many of them as possible.
Your other relatives will call him antisocial because he’s mostly on his phone, but he’s really just trying to avoid being spotted (and probed) by Grandma Jeongin- or Auntie Lee Know, who you’ll meet further down this post haha. Someone like Felix might manage to rope him into making conversation here and there, but Jisung’s interest widely remains at large.
Jisung disappears from the feast as quietly as he came in, and it takes a while for anyone to notice his absence. With his ability to remain evasive, Han might as well be a spy bahah.
。Hwang Hyunjin*゚
The rich aunt who lives abroad and only comes to visit every three or four years. All the kids love her because she comes loaded with presents for everyone. She’s super fun to be around because she’s got this carefree nature that’s simply infectious. Hyunjin just oozes rich auntie vibes. I mean, did you see him in that 5-star trailer?! Definitely the one who’s been supplying Grandma Jeongin with her collection of eccentric footwear.
Since she’s not around much she doesn’t know what you like, and will give you enough money to buy yourself something nice. Aunt Hyunjin will also come through for you in any financial trial you might be going through. You need a new computer? She’s on it. Rent is due and you’re in a tight spot? Aunt Hyunie to the rescue!
Of course, quality family time cannot be substituted with money, no matter the amount. But hey, if Hyunjin wants to slap a fat wad of cash in your hand, you’re not complaining…
。Seo Changbin*゚
The relative who can’t stop gushing over how big you’ve grown. Whether you’re 15 or 28, you’ll have to endure his speculations over how it was ‘just the other day’ when he was changing your diapers, and look at you now. Once he’s had a drink or two, Changbin does not hesitate to dish out super embarrassing stories of you as a child.
Nevertheless, Changbin is really fun to be around. He’s present at most family gatherings and more or less keeps them happening.
Changbin is also that uncle who’s trying to help everyone get their lives in order lmfao. You’d easily mistake him for a life coach or fitness guru with the way he’s spewing out tips on how to live a healthier lifestyle every 15 minutes. His advice is valid, sure, but you’re really just trying to enjoy your food, you know?
“You shouldn’t be drinking that. Don’t you know coca cola can be used as a toilet cleaner?! And you’re still willingly ingesting it…” He’d say, shaking his head in disappointment.
。Lee Know*゚
The nosy aunt.
Auntie Lee Know will sidle up to you with an offering of cookies or potato chips while she not-so-subtly pries into your dating life. Given the chance, she can turn any encounter you have into the possible beginning of a romantic trope. You tell her someone was glaring at you on the bus? Strangers to lovers. Your classmate keeps gloating over the fact that they beat you in a recent exam? Academic rivals to lovers.
For all its worth, Auntie Lee Know is a fantastic cook and the thought of her beef wellington gets you through most interrogations.
If Auntie Lee Know isn’t grilling you, then she is most definitely gossiping in the kitchen with Granny Jeongin about you and everyone else. Those two are a force to reckon with when put together. And there is really no escaping them when they get their hands on you. Like, you literally can never win, this auntie wants to know it all.
Auntie Lee Know also acts as the kitchen’s bodyguard, keeping out hungry relatives (mostly her brother, Changbin) until Jeongin is done cooking. Beware, she’s armed with a wooden spoon and she sure as hell knows how to use it!
。Bang Chan*゚
That foive-year-old kid you find sleeping in your bed when you sneak away to your room for some quiet time.
If you’ve ever hosted a family gathering at your house, you’ll know what I’m talking about.
Sometimes you just need a moment to pull away from everything, and what better solace than your bedroom? Of course, you do not expect to find someone’s kid lying on your bed, and drooling on your pillow.
Going back into the fray to enquire who’s baby it is would only beat the purpose of your sneaking away, and additionally show your room to unnecessary people who might decide it’s the perfect place to lay down their babies too!
And you are not trying to run a day-care here.
Chan would also be that one kid who keeps asking if you have games on your phone. RIP your peace of mind if he finds out you’ve got Pokémon on there.
You can’t find it in you to get mad at him, though. After all, it’s not his fault that his slightly irresponsible parents left him in your room.
⚝A/N: Thank you for reading! As a present for making it to the end, here’s visual proof of Lee Know being the nosy aunt that he is jksbdiskancdg 💀 I hope they film skz family 3 this year, sigh... need to know if Chan is secretly Seungmin's son. Anyways, remember to reblog and share your thoughts with me if you enjoyed ʕノ•ᴥ•ʔノ

Changbin: muscular man, dark hair, dark look.
Binnie: small, cute, tiny boy, g(idle) fan. ฅ^._.^ฅ
You knew the Binnie side of Changbin. When he saw you he immediately softened. You could tell he had a soft place in his heart for you. There was just something special about you. The way your eyes lit up when you looked at him. The man you used to reassure him when something went wrong.
How long had you known him? Since elementry school. You shared snacks with each other. You played on the swing, wonderful moments. He also had a jealous side for you. You were very beautiful, so it was no wonder that many others wanted you. Definitely very big boys, like Yeonjun.
Changbin remained loyal to you, the only girl who was allowed to touch him was you. You were allowed to hug him and pinch his cheeks. You were his girl, even though you weren't his girl. He was one of your friends and you were very close, but still nothing happened between you. There were of course tense moments that made you dream of each other.
♡₊˚ 🦢・₊✧╔═══════☆♡☆═══════╗♡₊˚ 🦢・₊✧
You were at university. Because you wanted to earn some money, you also started doing a small job. You were a bartender at a quite popular café.
“Hello Y/N.” Changbin squeezed.
He was just so cute, even though he acted so tough sometimes.
'Hello Binnie, what are you up to?'
'Nothing special, just walking around. When is your shift done?'
'In an hour.'
'Okay, you don't leave this café without me, in an hour, so at 8pm, I am back here.'
'Okay Binnie, I'll wait for you at the door, outside.'
'Outside?! That's why to dangerous for a precious lady like you.'
Your heart jumped, a precious lady. If it came out of his mouth, it had added value.
'Okay, I will wait inside the café.'
'Okay.'
There was silence between the two of you for a moment. You just looked at each other through gritted teeth.
'Okay, I am going to get back to work.'
“Okay, bye Y/N!”
he walked at the door and waved before he went off. Those little moments made your job better.
You looked at the clock all the time. A lot of people showed up this evening and you were already afraid that your boss wasn't going to let you go. Luckily Hanni showed up.
“Hey Y/N.”
she had a milkshake in her hands. She still had a 5 minute break.
"Ahh, Hanni you're back."
'Did you miss me?'
"Yes, sorely missed." you said sarcastic.
"I have a milkshake."
"I see, wow."
'A tasty milkshake, for a fantastic break.'
'Hanni, your break is less than 4 minutes away.'
"A long 4 minutes to annoy you."
'You have a talent, you shouldn't try too hard yourself.'
"Not funny, just so you know."
"It wasn't meant to be funny."
She was swirling her milkshake in front of you the whole time. She annoyed you for the whole 4 minutes. Those 4 minutes lasted like 4 hours, but it was Hanni, your best friend. She had the privilege to do this. When the clock struck 8pm, you turned to Hanni.
"Ahh, have fun, so much fun, for the next hour."
she stuck her tongue out.
Immediately when you wanted to walk to the door, Changbin walked in.
'Ahh there is my princess. How was it?'
'Hanni irritated me all the time.'
"You mean that girl over there?"
he pointed to a girl who was laughing strangely the whole time. He gave her a small wave.
"Yep, that's her, but okay, let's go?"
“Okay, let's walk around a bit. Through the park perhaps? The Cherry Tree's are beautifull this time of year.'
'Okay.' your little smile melted changbin's heart.
The two of you were walking close together through the large park. There weren't that many people in the park. The lanterns gave it a romantic atmosphere. There was even a bridge with locks, where you could write your and your loved one's initials. You bet half of those locks had already parted.
"So... are you seeing anyone?"
You calmly turned your faces to Binnie, his eyes were filled with excitement. He was a bit nervous.
'Why?'
"Just to ask."
"Right now, I don't see anyone."
'Good.' he said silently.
'You?'
"Oh, no, no."
'Why not?'
"I want to save myself for someone special."
"Oh, me too."
'Really?'
"Yes, I know there's someone out there for me, so I don't want to mess around with others."
'Someone special, someone you want to be with all your life.'
'Yes. That person exists for everyone.'
"Like a soulmate?"
"Yes, you can call it that."
'Do you know a person who could be that for you? Just to ask. You shouldn't answer it if you don't want to.'
'I know a person who I have a certain feeling about.'
'A good feeling?'
'Yes, a special feeling. Every time I look into his eyes, butterflies come up.'
Changbin suddenly stopped. He turned and focused his eyes on yours. Like you said, every time you looked at him, butterflies came up. He saw you stiffen a bit.
"Do you want to go to the bridge, perhaps?"
'Uhh yes of course.'
You walked to the bridge together. The silence that was between you wasn't awkward, it itself felt...peaceful.
There was a bench there and you two sat together. The wind gently blew your hair back. Changbin looked at you from the corner of his eye. Everything was beautiful about you. You made this place more beautiful with your presence. You also looked at him from the corner of your eye. It was calm, you heard the sound of the leaves falling from the trees. Changbin sat closer to you. So close that you could feel his muscular arms.
He wanted to put his arm around your waist, but he had a doubt. He didn't want to make you uncomfortable. You saw his hands waver. You gently took his hand and placed it on your waist. You pulled him closer to you. He was momentarily surprised that this really happened, with the most beautiful girl. You rested your head on his shoulder and stayed that way until he turned his face and looked down to where you were laying on his shoulder. You looked from his eyes to his lips and vice versa.
His face moved a little closer to yours. He loved your eyes, he could keep looking into them. Your lips touched, it may have been brief, but you felt love. It was soft, you could say the perfect first kiss. Changbin looked at you, to make sure you wanted this too, you definitely wanted this. Your lips touched again, this time Binnie wasn't shy. He pulled you into his arms. You opened your mouth a little more so his tongue could slip in. It was a romantic make-out session. You wanted to keep going, but you also had to be able to breathe. You came apart panting. Your faces were both red. You let the wind cool your faces.
"You know, I brought a lock."
'At the front of the bridge?'
'Do you want to?'
"Of course Binnie."
You each scratched your initials on the lock. He opened the lock with a small key. He attached it to the bridge.
"Can I have the key?" you asked him.
"You've always had the key to my heart."
He gave the key to you. You didn't hesitate, you turned around and threw the key into the water.
"This lock will stay here forever."
Binnie couldn't resist anymore, he brought you back in for a deep kiss. You wrapped your arms around his kiss, deepening the kiss. His arms held you tight...

"Oh god! Why would you- I'm so sorry boys" you said.
"Seriously Y/n? Why would you apologise? We came here at our own will" Felix said, as he followed you carrying a box, while you followed Jeongin and Changbin who carried a bigbox to your bedroom space. "You guys rarely get days off and when you did get this boy came himself and brought you guys here" you said throwing a Chimmy plushie at Changbin who easily caught it. "Really Y/n more that an off day, what we need is a normal day and there's literally nothing I'd do than help around a house." Jeongin assured. And you smiled.
"C'mon babe! don't worry! They volunteered to help when I said I would" Changbin said. It's okay and you know that but it didn't help that you still felt guilty for making them work. "Y/n? Where do we put these paintings?" Felix asked. "I don't know how about that wall?" You asked him, he nodde and said "yeah but lets put this one on that side it will look good with the couch there" he said and you smiled and nodded.
"This is why I brought him" Changbin said and picked up a box with I.n to take them to the bedroom. "You help Felix with the drawing room and we'll set up the bed okay?” he said before planting a kiss to your forehead and walking off. You watched him walk away, muscles all flexed and his cake moving in perfect beats. "Ahm?" You heard Felix clear his throat with a mischievous grin and you threw a pillow at him.

1 hours later
Most of the drawing room was unpacked. Changbin and I.n were done setting up the bedroom apart from your closet which you told Changbin that you'll do yourself later. You walked to the big box for one of the couches and tried to push it towards the drawing room but it won't budge. "You, hold this" Changbin gave you a beanbag to place it at the space you planned to do "let your strong baby do the heavy work" he said, wiggling his eyebrows and winking. "Can you guys work more and flirt less" Felix grumbled as I.n said a small "ew". With ease Changbin picked up the box you couldn't even move and placed it on the drawing room area. You and I.n helped him put the things in place as Felix adjusted the positions. The three of you have been working since 7am in the morning and by 4pm you were done with most of the things apart. From the Kitchen and your closet, you told them you'd do that later too, to which Changbin said "Yeah we'll set this up later tomorrow morning, it's okay guys" and you looked at him, you didn't know he had plans to stay over. You guys ordered food and sat down at your new coffee table and couch with some starbucks Binnie had just got out and brought. Soon the pizza came and you dug in. Felix was telling you some juicy details about their recent stage performance practices and you were laughing at I.n imitating his hyungs along with an annoyed Changbin who tried to scold him but stopped when he saw you laugh. He admired the way you laughed and got so well with his members that were basically his family. Felix smiled seeing the way Changbin looked at you, he knew his friend was down bad and he was glad cause he knew so were you. You laughed so bad you put your head in Changbin's shoulder for support. "He really does that?" You asked I.n when he explained how Hyunjin makes weird noises while sleeping and Changbin said "You don't believe us? Then I'll film it for you next time" as he laughed and imitated the poor boy who didn't even know, he was being roasted. After you thank them for the 105th time that day and them assuring it's fine Felix and Jeongin left. Changbin was already off to shower as said he'd be quick. You stood on your balcony admiring the new view. Soon you felt two arms around your waist and the smell of your body-wash. "You're done?" You asked, as you felt his arms tighten and a kiss was planted on your shoulder. "With the shower? Yes. With you? Nope" he said and you didn't have to look at him to know that he was smirking as he placed another kiss on your neck and another one above it. "Binnie, can I go and shower first?" You told him and he whined a bit before letting you go and mumbled a be quick. He waited in the bedroom messing with his phone as you walked into the shower. You took around 10 minutes and walked out to the room being strangely quiet and just as you thought you found Changbin in deep sleep on his side of the bed that you had decided earlier that day. You couldn't help but smile and how cute your boyfriend was, yes he was a big strong man, but inside he was one of the cutest and most beautiful people you've seen. He never frets to state what he thinks he's right and always supports you no matter what, he tries his level best to understand you and protect you. And gosh did you love him. You switched on the night lamp and switched off the lights, and cuddled into your man as even you started drifting to sleep.

"Can we stop playing this game, Felix?" You question. You're tired now, of all the chasing, the never getting together, the compliments and then the insults, the fights and then hugging and pretending that it never happened.
"What game?" He questions back, tilting his head slightly to the side with that stupid innocent smile of his that made you fall for him in the first place. When you didn't know it was fake, that is. (inspired by this drabble I wrote)
PAIRING: Lee Felix x Reader (ft. Slight Changbin x Reader)
GENRE: Song-inspired fic (psycho- red velvet) (and inspired by dlc mv! Felix for some reason)
WORD COUNT: 1.2k
WARNINGS: Suggestive themes, contains dark themes like toxic relationships, manipulation, love bombing, possessiveness, jealousy and more. (I mean have you the heard the song this is inspired from?) If any of these themes make you uncomfortable, do not continue reading.
SYNOPSIS: You and Felix are in a very weird and strange relationship. If you can even call it a 'relationship' that is.
"Will you atleast hear me out!?" You almost shouted as soon as you entered his apartment. "Felix!" You hold his wrist to stop him from walking away as his back is to you. He turns around to look you into eyes and his eyes are so cold. He snatches his wrist from your hold without another word. "Oh my God, can you atleast stop ignoring me?" You finally shout now, no longer able to contain yourself.
"What do you want?" He asks in an irritated tone, whirling around to face you again.
"Just hear me out." You try to say calmly again.
"And why the fuck should I do that, huh?" He walks towards you at a fast pace and you back off until you're against the wall, with him directly in front of you, his gaze sharp. "I don't want to hear how you almost fucked your ex while I wasn't here." He said in a low voice harshly. Coming even closer to your face.
"He isn't my ex. And I didn't almost fuck him." You reply.
"Just because you tell a fucking lie, doesn't make it true."
"I'm not lying."
"What else explains you almost sitting in his lap while touching and staring at his lips like a pathetic bitch who has never kissed anyone?" He sounded so mean and condescending and you knew it was intentional. You didn't know if it made it better or worse though.
You gritted your teeth at his tone but tried to remain rational and calm to give him the explanation of what actually happened but fuck, if wasn't he making it difficult as hell. "He got into a fight and busted his lip. I was just helping him clean that up as any good friend would."
"Friend." He scoffed after repeating the word. "Last I remembered you didn't just fuck your friends multiple times?"
"That was so long ago and 4 times isn't multiple times. And you should be the last person talking about fucking your friends."
"Care to repeat that?" He whispered while dropping his already low voice, lower. All the while making unflinching eye contact with you.
"I said, you should be the last person talking about fucking your friends."
"Gosh you really need to be disciplined, don't you? Acting like a fucking brat." He groaned. "And don't try to turn this around on me when you were the one who was caught almost cheating."
You scoffed at that. "What cheating really though, Felix? Last time I checked we weren't dating."
"Don't you dare bring that up at this time." He whispered and you could feel his breath on your lips.
"It's not my fault you're an insecure, paranoid and jealous asshole who thinks me even looking at other people is cheating. Atleast with my friends I don't have to walk on eggshells from the fear of making them upset over the most inconsequential of things."
"Oh so I not enough for you? Is that it?" He did a 180 on his attitude. Again. Now the whispers, the low voice and the sharp eyes were replaced with hushed mumbles, higher voice and the 'sad' eyes. "Is Changbin just so much better than me? Are you gonna leave me for someone else too?" He started talking so fast now, like he was getting anxious or something. Keyword: like. You had been with him long enough to know that Lee Felix did not show any emotion he didn't want to. Every smile, every frown, every expression was planned. As it had been from the very start. And when you finally realised that, it had been too late. You just weren't able to look away from his eyes now.
You sighed before saying what you had countless times in the past. "No, Lix. I'm not going to leave you okay? Just let this go now. And if you don't mind, maybe don't accuse me of cheating in the future when you know damn well I can't."
"Do you want to?" He questioned with a sharp tilt of his head.
"Want to what?"
"Cheat." He looked at you like he was fucking detective and not a dancer, analysing your every little move to see how you would respond.
"For fuck's sake, Felix! No I don't, alright!? You're the only person I want to be with, so now can you stop this?" You shivered from his gaze. Looking like he was so amused and just loving all of this. Like he did all this just to hear these exact words come out of your mouth. You were sure there was a trace of a smirk on his face. And you knew, for a moment, he had dropped his planned expression. Letting you see just what he wanted all along.
He sighed and snaked his arms around your waist. Burying his unfairly beautiful face into your hair while hugging you. Holding you so delicately. You wrap your arms around his neck in return.
"I'm so so sorry. I just messed up again, didn't I? I'm not perfect for you and I could never be. I shouldn't have said all that mean stuff to you, you know I didn't mean it, right? Right?" He asks again when you don't reply.
You roll your eyes, thankful for the fact that he can't see your face right now or he'd start another one of these acts. "Right, of course Felix, I know you didn't." You play with the fluffy blonde hair at his nape
"You still love me right?"
"Of course I do.
"You're not gonna say it?" Now he was just playing. Atleast he had calmed down now. You weren't in the position to ask for more after you almost kissed Changbin. You didn't like lying to him, but he sure loved it. Because he always knew when you were lying. Even now, you could feel it.
"I love you, Lix" Finally something you didn't have to lie about.
"I love you too, love" Love. The only word which had any meaning between you two at this point. Atleast you knew whenever he called you that, he was being geniune. No more games. He pecked your lips while smiling, his eyes turning into half crescent moons for the first and only time that night.
"Although i still have to discipline you for talking to me like that." He whispered lowly in your ear before going to kiss your neck softly. You were sure your neck was going to be littered with love bites now and you'll have to wear your turtleneck tomorrow while he'll question 'why is that? Do you not want other people to know that?' And you'll have to reply that it would awkward and embarrassing if others noticed. But that was a headache for tomorrow. For now you'll let yourself enjoy his soft fingers dipping lower and lower down your waist. Well atleast you get to have amazing sex out of all this. Although that was always a given when it came to Felix.
"I'll make sure that you are reminded of the taste of my lips every fucking time you even think of kissing another person. Let me remind you, who you really belong to."
Yeah you definitely were in a very weird and strange 'relationship'.

“Every time I go back home my mother incessantly tries to set me up with her friends daughters, even their nieces. No matter how many times I tell her that I want to find love on my own, she just still pushes. I was so tired of it, I just blurted out I have a girlfriend.”
He looked tired, honestly. Him asking you out to a late night coffee run, you weren’t expecting to meet up with him looking so exhausted. He was always busy and the others always told him he looked tired but this seemed different, but you guessed this made sense now.
You sip your coffe nodding along to his words, setting it down on the metal table, leaning back to give him your full attention. “Ok, well why me?”
“She knows of you in our friend circle, but she’s never met you or seen us together. I panicked and you were the first person I thought of. Being friends already I figured it’d be the easiest sell.”
The antsy leg bounces unde the table weren’t lost on you. Agitation wouldn’t be the right word for the look hardened on his face. You could see it clear as day though, he wasn’t one to mask his feelings or insecurities.
“Fair enough.” Because it did make sense to some extent. If it was one of the other girls that hung around occasionally, you wouldn’t bet money on their acting abilities. Or honestly their inability to not have a crush on him. Most of them, as annoying as they were, were just around clinging like flies to hot trash. Trying almost anything to get the boys to notice him, Changbin being the easiest sell as he was the richest friend in the group. Or at least he had the richest parents, you had pointed out once to the caddy bunch. They made some comment about being the only male in the family and blah blah blah. You had walked away without saying anything at that point, you didn’t see a point in listening anymore.
“She started asking me all these questions about how we met, so I just told her we met through Minho, which is the truth, but then she demanded for me to bring you home this summer. So now I’m sitting in a deep dark whole that I dug for myself that I’m really hoping you’d help me out of…I’ll even pay you for it…” His eyes squeeze shut, creating crows feet around them, hands coming up in a praying nature, bottom lip coming out in a pout. Putting on his best pitiful show.
He really didn’t need to beg so hard, but it was cute. “Ok. I’ll help.”
“You’ll come home with me?” He sounded almost shocked, did he really think you’d protest to helping a friend?
“Yea. No one should be forced into anything. I feel bad enough for you.” You laugh at him, keeping a light air around you. You did feel bad for him, relationships were hard already but add on a pressure cooker of a mother and who knows what someone would be willing to do to release it.
Knowing Changbin and being close to Changbin were two different things. You had hung out within groups but never alone, until tonight. However, you had never felt uncomfortable around him or unsettled. It seemed easy enough, and if you had to act with PDA, it definitely didn’t help that he was attractive. Not someone you’d usually find yourself drawn to, but maybe you’d get to see a new side to the rich, muscle man.
“Seriously?!” His eyes light up, as he reaches his hand across the table to yours. “Thank you, thank you, so much. I’ll definitely repay you for everything!”
“However.” You try to mask your smile behind a mask of seriousness. “We are going to have to set up boundaries, those of PDA.”
You use your head to gesture to his large hands still enveloping your smaller one. Not that you had a real problem with it, it was warm in the cool night air.
He chuckles nervously, “Yea, we don’t want anyone feeling uncomfortable…”, pulling his hands back from you.
“That goes both ways.” You genuine smile returning. “How are you generally in relationships and around your friends and parents?”
Finding out the logistics before hand would be a better idea than going in blinde. Especially as your normal reaction to things is keeping space between you and other people. Be that mentally or physically. You don’t want to recoil suddenly if he went to hold you hand infront of his parents. That would put an end to your show rather quickly.
“Hm-” He stares off, slightly behind you in contemplation. “Well I would say I am slightly on the clingier side. I like to hold hands, cuddling or just be touching in general. I’m very open to letting everyone know I’m with someone, I tend to be possessive in that sense. Normally I’d use pet names too. But i’ve never brought someone home so I’m not really sure how I’d be. My guess would be probably the same.”
You mull over his words carefully, factoring in your ability to act with him.
“Ok, Well I’m comfortable with the PDA level. I can accept clingy.” You coo at him. Who knew muscles had such a cute needy side. “Do you have a pet name you want to be called or can I wing it?”
“You can wing it. I don’t mind, I tend to use baby for my partners.”
“Baby it is.” You stand up, grabbing your coffee off the table. “Well shall we go create some evidence?”
“Evidence?” He eyes you suspiciously.
“Yep. Lets take some photos of us, plus I can use one as my lockscreen”
“That’s a cute idea! I want one too.” He exclaims clambering to his feet to join you in your walk down the street. He catches up with you rather quickly, which doesnt surprise you at all. But his next words do catch you off guard. “Should we practice?”
“Practice?”
His hand slides down your exposed wrist, fingers slotting between yours to intertwine your hands. Lifting your joined hands up for you to get a good view of them.
“Practice.” Something about that look he gives you makes you want to wipe that smirk off his face. If he thinks he can beat you in the cheekiness department, he is utterly wrong.
“Then how about kissing? Do we ignore that or should we practice?”
The innocence in your voice is lost behind the sounds of him chocking, followed by your hysterical laughing. Neither of you letting go of eachother, creating fake memories for the trip to come.
🌊☀️🌊☀️
“Nervous?”
“Yes and no.” You explain. “On one hand if it doesn’t go well, its not the end of the world because were not actually together. On the other, it’ll be a really awkward homecoming for you if this doesn’t work.”
“Fair points. Just be yourself, with a little bit of me.”
You roll your eyes at him, turning to look out the window. The drive was 4 hours overall, which you had spent 3 hours just talking and getting to know eachother, flushing out details like; how long have you been official, were exactly you met, first dates, etc. Obvious questions anyone might ask. Somehow you started talking about your childhoods and siblings, turning to various ex’s. Leading you to mention that your last relationship failed because of toxicity, but he allowed you to ghost over it. Not wanting to dwell or talk about it. You may be having to fake being vulnerable, but there was no way you’d actually show it now.
8 minutes left of your journey in the comfort of his slightly sporty highly expensive car with your own personal chauffeur, 4 hours was a breeze.
And just like you assumed, when he pulled up to the beach house his parents and sister were waiting out front for the two of you. Their eagerness to meet you was overwhelming but you held it together well. Open arms for hugging, warm welcomes and benign ushered inside to chat about the detaisl they were dying to know.
How remarkably easy it was to walk around on a tour with his hand in yours, luggage moved to your shared room for the nights you’ll be staying. His mother making a fuss about you two needing to share a bed because no matter where she would set up Changbin she knew her son would sneak back to you. Remarks she made, making you turn an eye to his, although he dodged eye contact very well.
Physical contact you both had made sure you were accustomed to, so even without thinking you would seek eachother out. Small kisses here and there, pecks on the cheek or forehead. His favourite place to keep his hand you found was on your lower back. So trip through the small town with his mother, also meant a large amount of teasing from her. His need to hold onto you continuously, she’d laugh at, pester him about being possessive and smitten with you.
Which is exactly what you both had planned. So shockingly convincing you were, it became comfortable. Easy. His warmth was contagious.
Not only his, but his whole family. From baking in the kitchen with his mother, to discussing with his dad about his favourite starwars movie in the franchise, to going out on lunch dates with his older sister talking about her drama filled work place and the guy she had a crush on in the office.
Watching him interacting with his family on calm nights like this, started making you think of things that were no longer possible. What it would be like to have someone like him love you, have his family love you.
Thinking back to last summer, the idea of dating again seemed like eons away. Leaving one toxic relationship behind you didn’t want to let yourself become that comfortable again. Setting yourself away on a shelf, adorned with forgotten trinkets of other peoples pasts.
Maybe that’s why you didn’t know how to act in a healthy relationship. Letting him set up his boundaries and agreeing with them meant he wouldn’t know that you were broken in a way. The unrelenting bluntness and over communication made some relationships weaker, but on another hand made many stronger.
Minho knew everything you went through with your ex, his uncompromising support for you to make your own choices, but also his need to scold you when you were being careless flourished your mere ‘childhood friends’ title to best friends. Over the years, no matter what friends you each made he kept your secrets adn you kept his.
But maybe it was time to share them with someone new. You’d never felt so welcome and at home with a partner before. It would be easy to get swept away by his parents and sister, swept out to sea from high tide, until when? You’d find yourself buried under the think sand, suffocating to feel this love again?
In this moment, you wouldnt let yourself dwell on anything.
A ping from a phone set down next to you grabs your attention. Changbins screen lights up with text notification.
“My love,” You call out, catching his attention. “Your friend messaged you about tonight.”
He doesnt hesitate in bounding over to you, settling down next to you, arm resting behind you on the back of the couch. He unlocks his phone, opening the text nodding at it before angling the phone for you to see.
You read it over quickly, before his mother observes “Are you two planning to go out tonight?”
“Just him” You smile at her, but continue explaining as she looks a little irritated with her son. “He’s going to have a drink with his old friends while I take advantage of the jacuzzi tub in his bathroom.”
“She’s been eyeing it for a while now.” He leans over to land a gentle kiss on your temple, a soft smile forms on your face.
“Alright…” She says unsure, but drops it nevertheless.
🌊☀️🌊☀️
They’d been out for a few hours now, going to their favourite club when they were younger. It was a little closer to town, so they had carpooled together. You had waved at them when they left, and he remembers thinking how at ease he would be if this relationship were real.
Now he’s many drinks in, and a few of them are tipsier then others. Him being one of the drunker ones.
“So when are we gonna meet this girlfriend of yours Bin?” His friend remarks, raising his voice to be heard over the loud music playing.
“How bout right now.” He shouts back, struggling to pull out his phone from his back pocket whilst still sitting on it.
“Man it’s 3 in the morning, you think she’s gonna be awake?” His other friend leans closer to him, making sure he doesn’t fall off his chair as he fights his jeans.
“Mhm!” Finally managing to rescue his phone from its compounds he carefully calls your num ber. It only takes a few rings before it connects. He smirks to himself, he knew you’d be awake.
“BABY!” Shouts gleefully into the phone.
An airy chuckle comes through the receiver.
“Yes my love?” Your warm sound already making him feel sleepy.
“Would you be able to pick me up from the club? I don wanna take a taxi.” His words slightly slur, but he fights through the fog of the alcohol. A pout forms on his lips, one he forgets that you can’t see.
“Where are your keys?”
“On my gym bag” He sings, knowing he’s won.
“Do you want me to come get you now?”
“Yesssss pleassssssse” Now there’s no hiding his sleepiness.
“Be there soon.”
“Yay!” Cheering he hangs up, turning to his friends.
“There you go! Now you’ll get to see how beautiful and amazing she is.” Turning serious. “Now none of you go falling for her, she’s taken”
He doesn’t wait for them to respond, instead he clambers to his feet to push his way through the crowd to make it outside. You were coming to get him, he wanted to be there. He was excited to see you again, even though it hadn’t been that long since he left you behind he had already begun to miss you the moment they drove away.
His friends follow him through the mass, making sure he doesn’t stumble too far to hurt himself. Or anyone else for that matter.
His body vibrates in impatience and delight when he sees his car pulling up.
“BABY! You’re here.” He shouts gleefully as he slings himself onto you in a too tight embrace as soon as you step up on the curb. He pulls back just to pout at you and look down at your clothes. “But why do you have to look so cute?”
You had dropped your book and slipped into the closest things you could find, that wasn’t your pjs, which at the time you had grabbed one of his shirt’s and a pair of your jean shorts. Your hair in a messy ponytail tail with your glasses still on your face, you couldn’t help but smile at his cuteness.
Ruffling his hair you coo at him “cmon you drunk, lets get you home.”
“Here, we can help.” Two of his friends attempt to pry him off of you and usher him into the car.
“I want bed and cuddles” he whines as you break contact.
“You know what would get you bed and cuddles faster? If you weren’t so drunk” you laugh at his plight.
“Hi y/n, I’m Wooyoung.” A hand comes out for you to shake. “Sorry for the lousy first meeting.”
“Honestly it’s ok, it’s still nice to meet you Wooyoung”
The gir standing behind himl snubs her nose at you but you pay her no mind as the other two guys come round the car also giving their introductions, to then point out the female and drop her name. You only nod at her.
You hear a scuffle behind you as changbin starts to re-emerge from his seat, trying to make another break for you. The males run round to stop him.
Heels click next to you. Something grateing about the voice makes your skin feel icky. “He let’s you drive his car.”
That was definitely a statement, not a question. But still you felt a tug to answer.
“Sometimes.” You smile watching the men fight, before turning to her “have a good night”
“Changbin! If you want bed and cuddles you need to get into the car.” You tell him sternly.
He gives you a goofy smile before giving a “goodnight guys” and disappearing into the car.
“Have a good night y/n, it was nice meeting you again.”
“You guys as well. Hopefully I’ll see you soon.” A smile once again before climbing into the drivers seat and heading towards the beach house.
🌊☀️🌊☀️
“Remind me not to drink that much again.” Changbin groans, rolling over holding his head in pain.
“I don’t know, you were pretty cute.” You mock contemplation, tapping your chin with your finger in consideration. Sitting on the edge of your shared bed, you’re already dressed and ready for the day. You had graciously let him sleep in a little longer before waking him up.
“I was what?” He shoots you a look from his hiding spot.
“You heard me. If I had known you were like that I would have drank with you guys more often.” The smirk on your face might as well be permanently plastered there. This was something you weren’t going to forget easily.
“What did I do?”
You don’t answer, walking across the room to pick up his phone. You unlock it, clicking on the video that Wooyoung sent him before tossing it onto the bed next to him. He scrambles to reach it, sitting up to watch carefully. Forgetting about the pain he was just in.
“Did I actually demand bed and cuddles from you?”
“The whole drive home.” You laugh evilly, heading out the door. “Now get dressed my love, your mother said brunch is ready.”
You hear a muffled mumble from behind you, but you don’t bother to check on it. You head down for food.
Halfway through food, he gets a call. Quickly leaving to answer it, leaving you and his mother and sister to continue eating and chatting. It doesn’t take him long to return. Hand on your back, but talking to the group.
“Dad wants me to go with him to the office today.” He sighs dejectively. He eyes you meekly, you’re unsure if he’s upset because of the hangover or he wanted to stay with you. You didn’t do much throughout the day anyways. You liked reading while listening to the waves, sometimes zoning out at the view even.
“Oh ok, I’ll stay here and help with the set up for tonight.” You smile up at him. Purposefully setting the question aside for later when it would be just the two of you again.
The at end summer party his family threw every year was tonight. They invited all their friends and their families to it. Changbin mentioned he hated it the most as that’s when his mother would stop her subtle hints at setting him up and blatantly attempt to arrange dates for him. This time thankfully he had you, so he could actually enjoy the night.
“Are you sure?” His puppy dog pout comes back, you can’t help but laugh, reaching up to kiss him ont he cheek in hopes of cheering up.
“I’d love to have her help.” His mother sings from the other side of the table. “We’ll be alright.”
“I can take her shopping later to pick out a dress for tonight!” His sister speaks up.
“Noona, you don’t have to.” He tries to derail.
“Of course I dont, but I want to spend some quality time with my sister-in-law!” She squeaks happily, putting on an overdramatic show just to annoy her brother.
“Upgraded already?” Changbin chimes, giving you a pointed look. “Did you put my family under a spell or something? Why do they love you so much?”
Both of you break into matching smiles. He gives you a quick peck on the lips, before turning to leave the room.
Your smile doesn’t recede when you watch his back as he leaves, turning back to food you find his sister and his mother beaming at you.
Excited giggles and chatter from the other two about the party when they decide to stop staring at you.
🌊☀️🌊☀️
“Are you positive that this is necessary?” You call out from the dressing room.
You had tried on countless dresses, creating your own fashion show when you’d unveil them to her. But each time them seeming not quite right to either of you.
“You can’t wear my brothers shirts forever.” She calls back.
“Says you.” You mumble, still loud enough for her to hear. You can make out her faint laughter through the door.
“Ok, last one then we’ll head home.” You dont react in time to her flinging the bottom of a dress over your door onto your head. You can’t stop yourself from outright laughing at her eagerness.
“Fine.”
Hanging the dress up on the hook you can now take a moment to look at it. A periwinkle empire waist full length dress, full flowy skirt bottom, with a shimmer of silver over the thin strap. Huh, something about this one pulls you in. You don’t realize your staring at it for so long until you hear her ask.
“Is it on?”
“Uh, one more minute.”
You slide the soft over your skin, the complimenting colour to you skin tone giving you a slight glow. Somehow out of the million dress you’ve tried on this one seems to fit perfectly. The zipper glides up, creating a snug but comfortable fit.
“Ready!” You call out.
Stepping out you don’t wait to look at her reaction. Spinning around to look at yourself in the mirror, your eyes widen.
“This one.” You sigh.
“This one.” She smiles at you in the reflection.
🌊☀️🌊☀️
“You look….” He scans the dress, to your hair and makeup. A light glow on your skin, his sister insisted on. Spending the evening getting ready with her allowed you to surprise him with the look for tonight. “...amazing,”
“Thank you. You’re looking very handsome in this look. I think I like it.” You tease, eyeing him up and down dramatically. And he did, the black slacks and white button up loosley buttoned was definitely a good look for him. Slightly snug in all the right places, biceps and thighs to be exact. Both equally impressive.
“Oh we like it hm?” He teases back. Maye you should reevaluate your ‘type’.
“Mm, might need to request we go to parties like this more often.” You laugh at the idea.
“Then lets get this party over with and I’m all yours to stare at.” His chuckle comes out genuine as he grabs your hand and leads you down the stairs.
When entering the party area Wooyoung makes himself known to the two of you. Hurriedly you make your way over, joining the large group there. Introductions of more of their oldtime friends turns to introductions to uncles and aunts and other family friends and at one point you think your head is about to start spinning with how many people you’ve just met in such a short time.
Even then, the smile on your face never wavers. Nor does his.
Eventually you find yourself in a conversation with his dad on the couch with an uncle of his and a family friend. You weren’t a huge fan of heels so you ending up opting to sit down with his father as he continued talking to his friends.
But like the whole trip here, your time without him was short. Your phone vibrates in your hand.
You give him a cheeky smirk before leaning over to tell his father where you were going and excusing yourseslf. You meet eachother at the back door. Heels left behind on the porch, hands intertwined you begin walking down the beach towards the water.
“Couldn’t stay away huh?” You tease, the breeze off the water feeling like bliss through your hair. It was starting to get a little too warm in the crowded house.
“You seemed to be having fun though, talking to other people…” You catch the accusation in his words.
“Jealous of your own dad?” You pry farther.
“Yes. Jealous of anyone who gets to spend time with you.” Once again his infamous pout appears. This pout would be the death of you.
The cutest muscle man you’d ever seen. One you’d been allowed to see close up and personal for what feels like forever but also only a moment in time.
“Confession time” He stills your walk when you reach the waters edge.
“I think I’ve been forgetting that all of this is fake.” He holds up your hands to look at them, and how perfectly they fit together. Slowly he lets go, dropping them and takes a step away.
You take a deep breath, before taking a few steps into the cool night water. Honesty and communication had always been your thing, the two of you. Easy reading others and their needs but also able to talk about what you wanted openly. Maybe that’s what made this work.
“You’re not the only one.” You admit, feeling the water rise and fall with the ebbing tide.
“What do we do?” He whispers, you turn to face him still on the beach. “I don’t know if I can go back….. I don’t want to go back.”
“Then, it sounds like we only have one option.” It all made sense, but then again nothing made sense. You didn’t have to think with Changbin, you just had to be. “We stop lying. Stop pretending. We stop faking.”
He takes hesitant steps into the water. Standing in front of you. “From now on, its real? Every moment, every kiss, every word, every touch. All real?”
Letting his words sink you, you think about what he’s asking.
“It’s already been real for me.”
You see the realization dawn on him. Cups your face and kisses you. Kisses you for all the kisses that contained the lies you told together.
“And I’ll be taking my payment in kisses please.” You manage between an onslaught of kisses and giggles. His arms wrapping around you keeping you close to him, the light in his eyes igniting into something more mischievous.
“I can think of another way for payment if you’ll accept it.”
You pretend to mull it over before hungrily kissing him, your tongue slipping into his mouth. A moan esapes him when you push him further to then pull away.
“From you? Payment accepted.” You give him a peck before pushing against his chest and running up the beach towards the house. Hell catch up quickly, you know that for a fact, but you also know he knows exactly where you’re headed. To his bedroom. The first night of you being together, no longer liars but two people loving eachother.
In the warmth of the truth.
