Ugh i'm feeling like my drawing skills have gone a bit to shits lately. Probably because i haven't gotten myself a new "casual" sketchbook and won't allow myself to start the sketchbooks i have already cause i'm saving them for projects i don't feel skilled enough to start yet..sigh.

I need to get a new sketchbook and i need to become faster at digital drawing, but my obsession with trying to make EVERYTHING perfect is standing in my way

Behold! The revised design of the modern harpy! Revised my design from yesterday and realised that the previous post featured the "classic" harpy, the harpy that inhabited the archipelago and lived like a pretty normal vulture. This version is the man-eating, "temptress" of the sea, and the scurvy arial thief, stealer of feasts of the mainland. This is the modern harpy. Found a little friend! I haven't seen a newt around here for years! I've been really worried about the local amphibians this spring as I've seen so few frogs and toads, and so so few clutches of eggs. We've actually got all 4-5 kinds of amphibians located in Norway breeding here around where I grew up.
