They Don't Even Use All Those Things. Items That Some People Throw In The Trash (as Soon As It Goes Out
They don't even use all those things. Items that some people throw in the trash (as soon as it goes out of fashion) will be picked up by others, those who are lower. And then you can try to pass it off as something expensive, creating new absurd trends.
And who provides resources for all these unnecessary furniture? right, poor districts.
thinking about this, modern maximalism wherever you go in the capitol. buying a lot of everything and displaying it in your home as a sign of rich ownership, even if all you've got is only a studio apartment. everything in bright colours, repainted often, second hand furniture being a really popular market. trends as circles so people hop onto things from 20 years ago in hopes it becomes the next big hit.
tiny living homes of people wanting to make it, full to the brink with abstract art they don't bother looking at, truly, and books sorted by colours that have never been read. a television far too big holding on a golden sideboard, covered in magazines purchased by a nearby kiosk.
even rich people fill their homes with a ton of decoration, the shapes meaningless reproductions of reproductions, art having lost their meaning.

sorry, but here is my controversial opinion:
I don't get it why most people don't understand the problem of such parallels between Lucy Gray and Katniss. Snow hated Katniss because she reminded him... that erases the whole point of Katniss NOT being the chosen one from her first appearance. No, she's not standing here because Lucy Gray once stood here (especially if someone wants to see Baird as an ancestor). It's not a story of tragic revenge towards Snow. Why does everyone support these ideas, as if the ballad was written before the trilogy and has SUCH meaning.
All these parallels are made for the sake of our nostalgia, good, but not to the detriment of the message of the plot.
I can accept most of opinions that Caesar isn't a good person, UNTIL after a worthy arguments ✨the argument✨ comes up and his name is Lucretius Flickerman.
In general, I don't like the idea of characters' kinship, because "hereditary professions" is a very lazy and simple option. Children do not always follow in the footsteps of their parents for various reasons.
It actually surprises me (although no, it was expected) how quickly everyone around decided that L*cretius was none other than Caesar's father. When I read the ballad, I thought if he was an ancestor, then some kind of weird uncle or grandfather that everyone forgot about (because he was quickly removed). So, if he exists in my version, then he is a local tio bruno (but I love bruno, this is different case), at every mention of which Caesar is embarrassed and cringes, so we don't talk about L*cretius us us us.
And when someone says that Caesar got his entire job and position only as an inheritance from his father, it really disturbs me, because this guy literally did not exist 3 years ago. He's like a bonus. Can't take it as something serious and meaningful idk. I have a feeling that Collins didn't plan to write a prequel at all, don't know why she wrote tbosas in this way((( but that's topic for different conversation.
I love funny weird characters and parrots but it's not the case. I wouldn't have any problems with L*cretius character if his last name wasn't Flickerman.
so now you better give me Petra back 😡
Listen... I don't care about Tattoo, but I really need to get our beloved queen Petra Mede back...

Katniss Everdeen ❤️🩹🌼 I hadn’t drawn her in so many years!! my babygirl since I was 13/14 i love her sm!!
Same thoughts
I want to watch a movie to enjoy the aesthetics and for the sake of returning to the Capitol. Moreover, now they can make a better picture (oh technologies). But at the same time, everything is likely to go wrong again, as this return to the past erases the meaningful things.
Yes, it's after the war, yes it's from the past, but it's still the Capitol. These are the ruins, but of an extravagant and already technologically advanced city of our future. The colors may be muted, but they should be there to become even brighter over time.
movie prediction: visuals are gonna be good, but the story will lack Snow's narcissistic tendencies and be misread. depth not applied, but aesthetics.
