Hi Been Following Your Blog For A While Now And I Finally Racked Up The Courage To Ask For A Request.

Hi been following your blog for a while now and I finally racked up the courage to ask for a request.

The new Chrome Glory frame's idle voice line was super cute like Skk just falling asleep and Chrome sing-songing them to wake up or they'll get a cold but skk doesn't absolute fluff.

It however got me thinking Skk is very overworked their character is so hardworking that in Echo Aria they were fading in and out of consciousness but was insisting they were fine.

I'm a sucker for a sickfic or one of those fics where one has to tell the other to go sleep because they can tell their tired or the fics where the other can't sleep and the other soothes them to sleep.

A bit indulgent I know, but they, funny enough also help me sleep because my mind just constantly races. Any one of those scenarios would be cute to read with Chrome either frame.

Thank you for reading.

Being Here with You...

Hi Been Following Your Blog For A While Now And I Finally Racked Up The Courage To Ask For A Request.

Chrome (Archlight) x Commandant/Reader

Summary:

Having caught a fever during a battle you have no choice but to rest. With Chrome, he is here to make sure you recover well enough to head back to the base.

Trudging your way through the battlefield, you noticed your breathing got heavier. you couldn't help but feel your eyes water from your fatigue. 'no,' you said to yourself, 'I must keep moving!'

Sluggishly, you leg felt heavy as you began to fall behind from your team.

"Commandant?" Lucia turned around and asked.

The dizziness began to pick up its momentum, hitting you in waves as you tried to focus on your mission. The rain, at this point, started to pour a little harder.

"I am fine," you managed to speak.

Forcing yourself to push through, you ignored the warnings and concerns from others about your crammed schedule that suddenly arose in your mind. As if now you have finally realised how bad your health has plummeted, with one last step, too weak to support your weight yourself, you came falling down on the muddy ground.

"Commandant!"

*******************

The sky went from dark to light grey as the rain poured heavily, washing the scent of oil and vital fluids away.

"Temperature's reaching 37 degrees," Liv said.

Her hands gently swipe a strand of hair from your forehead. Your clothes have been disposed of near a makeshift campfire, leaving you with your undershirt and shorts.

Lucia had just come back with more firewood and had added them to the fire. In hopes, to dry your clothes as soon as possible.

You shift slightly, head resting on Liv's lap, and you pulled on Lucia and Lee's jacket closer. Trying to suppress the involuntarily cold shivers running through your body.

"How's Commandant?" Lucia asked.

There was a look of worry on Liv's face, "Fever's starting to run high," she said.

"I have used Commandant's comm to request for a medic," Lee said, "They should be here by-"

Suddenly, your comms in his hands began to ring. A new message came through.

Lee accepted the message and proceeded to send it to everyone's inner devices. There was a moment of silence as the group comprehended the message. With a frustrated sigh, he commented, "Group D needs backup... Now is not a good time..."

"I-I could stay with Commandant, while you go..." Liv suggest, although she wasn't confident in this decision.

The two other construct heasitated.

"The location of Group D is by the port on the other side. If anything is happening here, we won't make it in time." Lucia said.

Your comms rung again, it was another backup request from another group. This time they need a support construct.

"This is annoying..." Lee mumbled.

The group went silent, trying to think of solutions. They can't just leave you behind when you were having a fever.

Your comms notification went off again alerting, and hurrying your constructs to make a decision. Thinking hard, Lucia was the first to speak up," Lee said help is on its way, we should stay here until they come."

Her teammates both nodded in agreement.

"Whoever is coming, I hope they will be here soon," Lucia said.

"Well, you are just in luck, Lucia," Lee said as he point at the distance. Still foggy from the downpours, the Grey Ravens were able to make out a silhouette running towards them.

"A medic?" Liv asked.

As the figure approached. The group finally saw who had arrived. Drench in rain, water droplets dropped from his blond hair to his synthetic skin. Chrome came at the right time.

Catching his breath, he places the silver case, which he has been carrying the whole time, on the ground. Kneeling by your side he asked, "How's Commandant?"

"Fever is running high, Commandant has experience a few cold seizures. I have been able to keep the fever in check," Liv reported.

She, along with Chrome's help, moved you away from her lap to the ground. "Do you have any medicine at hand?" She asked Archlight.

Responding with a nod, Chrome went to the silver case and opened it. He took out his neatly folded white overcoat and underneath were medical supplies. Taking out a few bottles of pills, he let Liv inspect them. "Which one do you need? I got your call and hurried my way here. Wanshi couldn't come because he's got a hand full on our end."

"Looks like everyone is stretched tight for this operation," Lee said and got his gun ready, "Since Strike Hawk is here, I am more relief to leave Commandant."

Lucia nodded, "Chrome, do you mind taking care of Commandant while we are gone?"

"Noted," Chrome nodded, "I will send our coordinates to the base camp, so the reinforcements can come to pick us up."

"You have our many thanks," Lucia said. She then turned to you, still weak, as Liv held you up so, Chrome can give you the medication.

"Commandant, please be safe. We will be back," Lucia said and followed Lee to the port.

Carefully, Chrome held the bottle of water against your lip as you drank. After swallowing the pill, both Liv and Chrome placed you back down on the ground.

"As soon as the clothes are dry, put them on Commandant to prevent hypothermia. The most important thing is to keep the chest area warm," Liv instructed, "The medication lasts for about two hours, so please remember to give Commandant another dose then."

"Same dosage?" Chrome asked diligently.

"Yes, this medication tends to be drowsy. So don't overdose." Liv got the other bottle and continued, "These can also work as pain killers, if Commandant is in any pain you can also use these."

"Noted."

Liv gave an assured smile and nodded, "Thank you for doing this, I will be off now."

"Rest assured. I will take care of Commandant." Chrome promised. He watched as Liv ran in the other direction to help the other group.

Now alone with you, Chrome was confident to make sure you can survive out on this battlefield until the rescue team comes.

Resting your head on his lap, he grabbed his white overcoat, since he place it in the briefcase, the clothing was nice and dry. He managed to wrap it around you as your body shivered.

The construct stayed still for a long while as you rest. Eyes diligently survey the surroundings for anything feasible danger, but so far, there was none.

For a moment, he got a little distracted and looked down at you, still lying asleep on his lap. He studied your face since it was the first time he saw you sleeping so peacefully. Your brows were, for once, not furrowed together and your hands weren't fisted tightly.

You slept without a care.

As much as Chrome wanted to let you sleep, he checked the time before his hand gently hover above your face. He remains stoic and quiet. Thinking hard to himself. Staying in this position for a while, he let out a small breath and moved his hand to your shoulder, poking you lightly.

You did not stir.

He poked a little harder.

No reaction.

He tapped on your shoulder harder and you woke.

"Hmmm..." you let out a protest. Your head felt light as you slowly got up.

Groggily looking around, you notice Chrome next to you. Wiping the sleep away from your face, your vision cleared with Archlight in front of you, holding a water bottle and a little pink pill in his other hand.

Confused you looked at Chrome, but he spoke before you could ask him what was going on.

"Oh good you are awake, it's time to take your medicine," he said.

"Medicine?" you asked.

"Do you not know what happened?" Chrome asked.

You shook your head, head still feeling terrible, but it felt much better than before.

"My head hurts... Where are the others?" you asked. As Chrome gestures insisted, you took the pill, popped it in your mouth, and took a swig from the bottle of water.

"They currently placed in different stations as a backup. I am tasked to supervise you before the reinforcements come." Chrome explained.

No matter how thorough his explain was, you didn't quite hear him. Your mind wandering with disoriented thoughts. Your face, still flushed with fever, you spoke, "I got to find them..."

Stubbornly, you fought the fatigue and were about to stand up when Chrome quickly grabbed you and pulled you back down, "Commandant, wait! You are still sick, it is best to stay here and recover than engage in battle."

"I will be fine... I did this before..." you protested.

"No, it's too dangerous." Chrome argued, struggling to pull you back by the arm.

Your brows furrowed, annoyed by the construct's actions. Seeing how much you insisted on leaving, Chrome had no choice but to wrap his arms around you and pull you back down with him.

"Forgive me Commandant, but I must keep you safe," he said sternly. He held you tight as you wiggled about.

Only, for your movements began to slow down. Your protest grew weak and before you know it, you let out a big yawn.

"See?" Chrome spoke softly, "Please take a rest, Commandant."

"..." you went quiet and gave your current situation a thought. You couldn't argue that your eyelids were feeling heavy. Your head was still pounding, and your body was screaming for you to let it take adequate rest.

"...fine, I guess I could take this opportunity to "slack off", like how everyone has been telling me to." you made a dissatisfied look. Looking up, your eyes met with Chrome's, "Just wake me up ten minutes before the reinforcements arrive."

With that, you lay your head against Chrome's chest. Following the rhythm of his breathing; you know it's artificial but you never paid mind. Slowly, you drifted off to your very much-needed slumber. Naturally, you snuggled close to Chrome, finding comfort from his arms holding on to you. somewhat also acting as a mattress or the alike.

This left Archlight in a rather troubling position. What would he suppose to do if he needs to move? Should he wake you up when you are supposed to stay asleep? However, he thought that maybe this isn't so bad.

"Really...what must it take for you to get some rest? " He lets out a defeat sign with a smile. He doesn't mind being your bed, if it means for you to recover and get some rest.

Regardless, shifting his arms securely around you, he adjust his coat to make sure you were warm enough before returning his gaze to survey the area.

Author's notes

As I wrote this, I was thinking should I go for a sick fic or a sleep fic. Then I thought, why not both?

Tbh, I actually haven't done Echos Aria yet. (I also didn't get S Chrome) :/

Maybe, I might get to it in the future.

If it's alright with you, can I request for a Chrome x reader (angst, then fluff)? It depends on you what you want to write. Thank you so much🙇‍♀️🥺

Beginnings

If It's Alright With You, Can I Request For A Chrome X Reader (angst, Then Fluff)? It Depends On You

Chrome x Commandant/reader

Summary:

Being a construct, time was never truly an essences. Their sense of time could be calculated by era; they judge by having endings and new beginnings.

But when it comes to you, Chrome had a hard time maintaining the sense of time.

If It's Alright With You, Can I Request For A Chrome X Reader (angst, Then Fluff)? It Depends On You

Tags: One-shot, bittersweet, Chronic progression (aging and timeline), 2nd Generation, spoilers for interlude, Implied one-sided.

Beginnings are the inevitable that comes after and before endings. To a construct like, Chrome. What defines as a 'Beginning' is simply an era.

In the beginning, his name was Langston Smith. Taken in, by no other than one of the Officers in Babylonia, John Smith.

During that time, Langston strive to be the perfect Smith, a goal that was and still, ingrained into his mind; the sole purpose of his drive. From adolescence into adulthood, he worked hard to achieve this ultimate goal.

Joining the F. O. S Military Command College, to be one of the best Commandants in Babylonia's newly established Commandant and Construct program. It came with a cost, and he failed.

By then, after the failure to meet his father's expectation, Chrome chose the path of becoming a construct. It's the least that he could do to make his father proud.

Thus, the era of Langston Smith ended. His life as a construct, Chrome, began.

Yet, it wasn't an easy path, the turbulence of his journey of being a construct was hard for him. Many didn't take him seriously, his father, 'Mr. Smith' was still monitoring and intervening his way into success.

Til the day that Chrome was assigned to be the Captain of Strike Hawk, has this difficult journey came to an end. His hardship ended with him reaching his own epiphany, as to ask, what does it mean to be himself, Chrome.

With an end of that era, a new beginning began.

For Chrome, he had thought this particular era would be stagnant for a long while.

Working with countless of commandants, this era was rather, in comparison, mundane. You, were no exception.

Just another Commandant, but of an elite status. Although, you have began to make a name for yourself in the base. There were stories about you; this includes Kamui's account and the many achievements that you have done.

To have a chance to work with you, Chrome felt fortunate. The experience gave him insights. Chrome see areas in his leadership skills that were lacking.

His plans always goes disarray at some point with unpredictable variables, Kamui is another problem. His team didn't necessarily achieve the unity that it should.

But, he sees how you communicate with your constructs. How much trust and bond bounded the team together in order to execute the mission so efficiently and flawlessly. This is what makes the Grey Ravens the most elite squad in Babylonia.

The perfect Commandant and Construct team.

A feat that is not easy, and that you had managed to master it.

Deep down, Chrome knew you held something special. He, himself, couldn't help but to fall under your charisma and trust.

Infatuated, his sense of time ceased.

One day he asked, "Commandant, is there something that you always wanted in life?"

You looked at Chrome, a little confused by his question. There was an urge to be playful about it, however, seeing his serious facial expression. You gave your answer a good hard thought.

"Well..." you began, "Mankind has not reclaimed earth back yet... I think winning the war would be a model answer."

Chrome nodded and listened as you continued, "... But, if you were to ask me, personally, I think living a normal life in peace with a family... is a pretty good thing to want. A world with no war, to be with your loved ones."

Your answer was humanistic. Full of raw desire, and Chrome understood that. To you, it might seems like a light hearted matter, but Chrome took your answer to heart. He wanted to help you achieve this dream.

As the days on the battlefield became frequent, and times were growing harder. Chrome never left your side and fought side by side with the Grey Ravens.

Everyday, he sees you and each battle won was a step taken closer to your dream. Everyday, you work hard for the future that you desire, yet as the battles dragged on, your results was slowly in decline.

You smile less. You start to tell less jokes. Whenever you were traversing through a long distance in the battle field, you need to stop for a rest.

When Chrome came up to you to ask you about your well being, looking up to smile at him you replied, "yeah, I am alright..." He would notice small amount of wrinkles forming around your eyes.

The clock within moved forward, yet his remained still.

His mind was still set of your desire, it never occurred to Chrome that your dreams were slowly taking form in another way.

He the heard news about you. You found a person, a life partner to be with. Chrome will admit, it was not the best time to do that, but everyone was happy for you and he figured, he should too.

So, he fought harder. He stood next to you, loyal and devoted. In his eyes you were still the great Commandant of Grey Raven Squad that he adores. Although, he never took the time to notice how much you, and how fast it was, you have changed.

You attend less field work. You no longer have a genuine cheerfulness, for you begin to lose your loved ones. You frequent the medical bay more often. During mornings, you needed to take more supplements and medication. Yet, you still remained in Babylonia, offering your service.

Until, the day you left the base.

The last time, Chrome saw you. He was visiting on behalf of the Babylonia Team. You were already too weak to walk, body frail and face full of wrinkles, your hair were grey.

On the hospital bed, you looked up at the construct.

One's clock was ticking, yet, another was still.

"Commandant, it's been a long while..." Chrome said.

"Chrome! It's good to see you again! No need for formalities, I am not a commandant anymore," despite smiling, Chrome can see you were tired.

A small figure shuffled beside you, and Chrome took notice. He lifted his gaze and saw a little boy seated right across from him. The child's face was beet red, bashful and shy with this stranger talking to his grandparent.

"Haha... you are here at the right time, Chrome. My grandson was just asking me about Babylonia..." You turned to look at your grandson and continued, "he said, he wanted to join one day."

"Is that so... Then I will be looking forward when that day comes," Chrome smiled at the child.

As the conversation continued, there was a pressing question in the back of Chrome's mind.

Giving it a good though, he held the courage and asked, "... Are you happy?"

You looked at Chrome, giving him same expression from years ago.

You were a little confused by his question. There was an urge to be playful about it, however, seeing his serious facial expression, you sighed and giggle.

"Haha... Of course I am!" you replied.

"But..." Chrome said, "Your dream... you said you wanted to-"

Your cheerful voice cut him off, "That was years ago. I have already forgotten about that. Because, those things are already in the past. Now is now. Right now, I am happy." You turned to look at your grandson and gentle patted his head.

Looking at you, the image of you that Chrome saw was still the great Commandant of Grey raven. Young and robust.

However, to hear your answer, as if a switch had turned on, Chrome's sense of time began to tick.

The image turned and suddenly, in front of him was a human that was once a great Commandant. He never realised how little time your era was left.

"Thank you for everything, Chrome."

Just like that, the day after his visit, you slipped away peacefully.

Every era has to end.

***

"Greetings, Strike Hawk. I am your newly assigned commandant," a young man said. He was wearing a commandant uniform and stood straight and tall in front of Chrome and the rest of his team.

Judging from his age and attitude, he had freshly graduated from F. O. S. Now he is taking the duty of a commandant in Babylonia. To get to met Strike Hawk so soon in his career, he must be a top graduate.

"Oh!? We got a newbie?!" Kamui said.

"A commandant?" Wanshi yawned, "... Do we really need to have a babysitter?"

Fluster the young man remain standing straight. Not letting the comments get to him. However, his face turned slightly beet red from the embarrassment. Despite, Kamui and Wanshi poking fun at him, the new commandant was determined to be the perfect commandant for Strike Hawk.

"You know, being part of an elite team is no walk in the park," Wanshi teased.

"I know that. I know there are many great dangers to be part of this team. But, I have a dream..."

This boy looked familiar. As he gave his answer. It sound like yours.

Chrome stay quiet as he listened. While Wanshi and Kamui had fun interrogating the new candidate, Chrome smiled to himself, letting out a sigh he said, "Kamui, Wanshi, now is not the time to ask questions. Hurry up and greet our commandant."

"Yes, Captain." both of them stepped back and replied.

Holding his arm out, Chrome shook the new commandant's hand, "Greetings, I am Chrome. Captain of Strike Hawk. I am looking forward to working with you."

Maybe this is a beginning. A new beginning to an new era.

Author's note:

I personally find it hard to write concepts, but it's a good challenge never the less. :3 I am sorry there isn't much fluff in this. I thought angst + fluff = bittersweet. ;w; which now that I think about it doesn't seem right.

Also, writing this encouraged me to max out his Affection lvl, and oh Boi... 😳😳😳

Singing soothes the heart and mind...

Singing Soothes The Heart And Mind...

When the constructs catch you singing...

Pgr Headcanons

Sometimes you just having nothing important to do, and you figured, it won't hurt to lower your guard for a little while.

And so, you began to hum along a small tune. Your hummed the next melody as soon as the pervious one was finished, and the next thing you knew, you were in a singing trance. Without knowing, a figured walked in...

Watanabe (Nightblade/Astral)

Watanabe only allowed you, the Commandant of Grey Ravens to stay in the Oasis for the time being.

He only left you alone in their HQ meeting room to fetch something.

Alone, you were quietly singing a song leisurely as you wait.

Watanabe walked in, his footsteps were quiet and it didn't alert you.

He was surprised to hear you singing.

Watanabe would tune in and listen. The singing reminded him of his late friend, Bruce.

Watanabe said, "You got a nice voice...". You stopped what you were doing and quickly turned around, a little embrassed.

"Do you sing often?" he asked. You nodded, "when I am bored."

"... there is this song, that I think you would also like." "Really?" "It's a old song... a friend of mine taught me, but I am not good at singing. I simply think it's a waste to not have a good voice to sing a good song."

He basically sang it to you. (Please excuse his voice crack in some areas ;w;).

Sometime later, while you are waiting for your team to arrive, you would start to hum Bruce's song. Soon, you began to quietly sing it.

Watanabe just sat next you and listened. Reminiscing the good old days, while enjoying the way you sing as how the song is meant to be.

Sophia (Sliverfang)

Sophia heard your humming and decided to take a look.

She was curious about the song and enjoyed it. It was different than the ones she listened to in Akidelik.

So, she spoked, "Commandant... what are you singing?"

Her voice scared you, and you jumped. Turning around, you saw Sophia standing by the doorway, looking at you.

You have to explain to her that the songs are basically just songs one would listen to on a music player.

"Oh, so this is Eden's music." Sophia commented.

Sliverfang then proceeds to share her experience with music. It was usually music that the nobles enjoyed, or that Changyu would whistle tunes when he's on the job.

As you both chatted about the topic, Sophia suggested to have a duet. Given, she never really have the time or opportunity to sing.

She wanted to try whistling like Changyu.

And, she enjoys making music with you.

Needless to say, some passerby knocked to ask both of you to keep the noise down.

Lucia (Lotus)

She walked in on you singing a song. It was a simple tune, but she felt soothed by it.

So, whenever Lucia catches you alone and singing, she doesn't speak and just listens.

The more she does this, the more she remembers the tune and soon enough, she can sing the same songs.

Although, Lucia won't sing out loud. It's embarrassing for her, and to her, she only wants to hear you sing.

Because the song and your voice calms her in someway.

Funny thing is, she sees singing as a calming mechanism, if there was a situation in dire need of such, she would sing.

Eg. if a comrade or someone gets frantic or incoherent, Lucia would try to use singing; trying to mimic how you sang, as a way to calm said person or to distract them.

But that's only for the last resort.

"It's not me, it's thanks to Commandant's singing that helped."

Qu (Pavo)

She caught you humming a small tune to yourself, and recongises the song was from the time she played the Guqin.

Qu remained quiet and listened as you hummed. Paying attention to each note and rhythm.

She would genuinely be surprised if you can hum the full song with no mistakes.

The next time you visit Kowloong, Qu would alway think of other new songs to play on the instrument so she can boarden your musical scope.

But she rather teach you how to play the instrument instead. There's nothing better than hearing the tune being played by the unique pitch of the gut strings.

Politely, you declined the offer.

Kamui (Tenebrion)

Having to catch you once while you were quietly singing to yourself, he had been deliberately making rounds to catch you singing again.

The books never talked about that.

He was curious about the act of singing and wanted to know a few songs to try it out.

How do you manipulate your voice like that? Do you need to have a program to make your voice having such a big vocal range?

Kamui brings this topic up while you were hanging out with him. And, you tried to teach him how to sing.

Though, you were curious to see if Kamui can grasp the concept of it.

Which was kind of a mistake on your behalf, because after that, Chrome came up to you and said:

"Commandant, it would be better if this came from you, but Kamui has been singing non stop in the resting quarters."

"... Well, I guess he's having fun?" you replied.

"... It would be, if his shouting sounds more like singing. I have already received a few complaints from others. Please, Commandant, do something about this."
