Ok, this is not a usual (and by usual I mean the rare post that generally shares a similar topic) type of post that I do. I usually post fandom content because, hey, that’s what I enjoy, but this isn’t that. I want to clarify something.

A lot of the time people say learning is a privilege, and yes, it is. Having the access to the knowledge, getting the chance to get the information is a privilege, yes. But the school system in a lot of countries is not. Waking up in the morning wanting to curl up in a ball under your blanket and cry is not a privilege.

The education system in many countries is seriously flawed to the point where the people who have to endure it (read as ‘the kids who have to go to school day in and day out’) are hurting themselves. They are being hurt, myself included, and this is not an issue that should be taken lightly. Many people are making this point, people who shouldn’t have too, but it a serious issue that needs to be dealt with.

The people in charge of the education system need to do something. If each new generation gets up everyday knowing that today is going to suck, that it is going to hurt, what’s the bloody point?

Wake up.

We are telling you over and over again that something needs to be done. This post is one of many that is most likely going to be ignored; that is going to be breezed over with the usual terrible excuses, but I am going to make it anyway.

School shouldn’t make you want to hurt yourself. It shouldn’t push you to the point of tears. But it does anyway, and that in itself shows that something is deeply wrong. If we keep being ignored things are just going to get worse and that sucks, but maybe if enough of us shout at them then they’ll have to do something. They shouldn’t need to be forced into doing it, but who cares about people mental health when money is being made, right?

Sorry, that was long, but I am sick and tired of being told that going to school is an honour. I know learning in itself is good, and I love it. I love reading and I love the information, but they way they force it on me makes me want to be sick, and I know I’m not the only one. We all come out with a scar or two, sometimes more, and that is so horribly wrong that I can barely put it into words.

This was a long post, I know, but thank you if you bothered to read it. This is unbelievably important to me, and we shouldn’t be going into the future with this shit system, it shouldn’t be forced onto the future generations.

Thank you again, hopefully we’ll get back to my usual fandom-based, very irregularly posted content. Also, sorry if the grammar sucks, I’m unbelievably tired and jet lagged.

Batman and Barry are having a calm–if not even a nice conversation when it happens. They’re walking around the Watchtower, talking about the League’s next mission, and that’s when Barry’s face drops, and points to something ahead of them.

It’s Wally. On one knee. With a small black box in his hand. Dick is in front of him.

They both stop and stare.

Wally is speaking.

“Richard ‘Dick’,” Wally wiggles his eyebrows suggestively, and Barry wants to die, “Grayson-Wayne, will you do me the honors of being my favorite baby-girl for the rest of my life, and marry the Wall-man?”

Barry wants to die. He wants to be dead. He wants to dig a 10-foot hole, and cover himself in the dirt, and stay there forever. He can’t even gauge how his face looks right now, and he does not want to look at Batman. The Bat. The guy who decided to dress up as a Man-Bat, go out, and terrorize the criminals of Gotham as a hobby. And his nephew, his loving, funny, fucking stupid, nephew, Wally, just proposed to Batman’s kid. And called himself the “Wall-man” and called the Batkid his “favorite baby girl.”

Dick just said yes.

Barry was not ready to be related to Batman.

Kenji: *runs into a glass door and knocks himself out*

Ben: *turns around and speedwalks away*

Yaz: isn’t he your boyfriend?

Ben, hissing: shh! lower your voice!

my only gripe with Argylle is that there was a perfectly legitimate and justified (narratively) opportunity to make Henry Cavill and John Cena kiss passionately and nobody took it

Friends. Friends. Make A Little Fishbowl For Your Blog.

Here’s mine! Forest-y setting to go with my usual theme, a night sky to match my current theme, a writing desk for my stories and piles of books for all the old books I love reading. I also put my cat in there, cause he loves bothering me while I write and a glass bowl would do nothing to stop him.
