Wilderness cleans our air, filters our water and provides home for human as well as for wildlife. So it is crucial for humanity, which is already to blame, to bring radical changes today before it’s entire extinction tomorrow. That is my only intention here folks. Morning visit from one of our friends of the Corvid family. We named her Diane and she's about 5 to 6 years old. With a wingspan of 45 to 51" and a mass around 2 to 3 pounds, she's the largest and the heaviest in her species. Quite amazing for a passerine bird right?

And right now she want a chicken egg so we better give it to her.

Traditional old fashion snowshoes are still great for hard-packed mountain trails. But in soft snow, particularly when pulling toboggan, these are the best you can find for wilderness travel away from packed trails.
