It Really Is So Hard And Im Sick And Fucking Tired Of Hearing They Look Like Girls Or They Not Speaking
It really is so hard and I’m sick and fucking tired of hearing “they look like girls” or “they not speaking English, how do you know what they are saying?”. Fact #1: Those “girls” are making money and doing BIG BOSS SHIT while you work the drive thru(no offense to any fast food workers). So whose really winning? Fact #2: There’s a thing called SUBTITLES where you can see what people who speak a different language are saying. Fact #3: I wonder if they realize that there’s nothing different between KPOP and Westernized music besides the language difference. Like it’s really getting to the point that I don’t even like to bring up anything that involves KPOP to my family because I get the same negative reaction. Where I’m taken as a joke and not considered “black” because I like them. I’ll be really excited about a new music video or a new episode and I can’t express it because when they ask and I give my response, it’s like I’m getting frowned upon. Funniest thing is that they don’t even know how happy my life has been since I discovered KPOP and how they helped me with some things I’ve been struggling with. They only look at “Oh they speak Korean and blah blah blah” but it’s not just the music it’s everything else too that idols stand for and give that makes me and everyone else fans. They are genuine people who share what they love to do with their fans. If I hadn’t discovered KPOP my life would be nothing. 💓💓💓💓
Being a Black K-pop fan...
Before getting into K-pop as a black girl, I wish I knew that it was going to be frustrating sometimes. There are the people of your race that think you are weird for liking Asian music. They think you should listen to only hip hop and rap. But not the Korean kind, the kind like J.Cole and Young Thug. People shame your taste in music because it is not their preference or in English. If the music is good, why should I i care what language it is in? There are people in general that think because of this, you want to be Asian. That isn’t the case. I want to be black and embrace it. I love being black. In my case, I never even paid attention to South Korea before discovering K-pop. When I finally stumbled across Got 7, I feel like I discovered a whole new language and culture that I was never exposed to. (I hope this doesn’t sound disrespectful?) I became super interested in their pop culture and the Korean language and I wanted to learn it. Isn’t that normal? I wish I knew that some of my favorite celebs were problematic when it comes to touchy subjects such as blackface and culture appropriation. Its hard because I don’t know If i should still love them or drop them, even if it is normal Korean citizens. Non black k-pop fans telling us that we are being too dramatic or they excuse their faves’ actions because they are ignorant of other cultures and ethnicities that isn’t their own. Yes, this can be the case for a lot of koreans but a lot of them also know what they are doing when it comes to these things. It doesn’t affect non-black K-pop fans personally so they let it slide. This is the most frustrating part of it all. It hurts but I stick with it because its all about the music anyways.

UHHHHH SUCH A FUCKING TEASE 🔥🥵🤤 like we can’t get a slip or something
Don’t be shy camera man... point the camera down
I saw someone say this on Twitter “ THEY OPENED THEIR POCKETS BEFORE THEY OPENED THEIR MOUTHS” which means that they didn’t have to tell anyone that they donated because they’re not the type to share what they do for clout or praise. They do it because they genuinely care and they donate to charities and things all the time secretly. But since people were getting so mad because they wanted to know if they donated money or not HERE YOU GO SWEETIE —> 1 M I L L I O N 💜💜 and how much did you donate since you’re so worried about others???? 👀👀 I’m waiting ...........👂🏽

BTS DONATED A GOOD $1 MILLION TO BLACK LIVES MATTER!!
After K-pop titans BTS stated their solidarity with #BlackLivesMatter this week, declaring “we stand together” against racial discrimination, the group and its Korean record label are making a further commitment: BTS and Big Hit Entertainment have donated $1 million to Black Lives Matter, a rep for Big Hit confirms to Variety.
The donation was transferred earlier this week, with Black Lives Matter confirming receipt to Big Hit early on Saturday, June 6. BTS and Big Hit are not expected to comment on the donation; a rep for Black Lives Matter did not immediately respond to Variety’s request for comment.
T.N: $1 MILLION was fully donated to ONE blm organization and it’s the organization that revealed the amount to the media. BTS might have donated more to other organizations, but they always give and help in secret, so we might never know. BTS’ agency revealed in the past that the 7 boys believe that you don’t make donations so you can tell people about it (They don’t see it as a way to brag but to help).
⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ BTS ARMY decided to match BTS’ donation and started the hashtag #MatchAMillion. Since BTS’ announcement on June 7, BTS’ stans already exceeded 447k DOLLARS. You can donate too HERE

BTS’ Suga Breaks Record For Korean Solo Artists On Billboard 200 With “D-2”
BTS member Suga’s solo mixtape “D-2” has set a new record on the Billboard 200!
Under his rapper name Agust D, Suga released “D-2” on May 22 along with a music video for the title track “Daechwita.”
On June 1 (local time), the official Billboard Charts Twitter account revealed that “D-2” had debuted at No. 11 on the Billboard 200 for the week (week ending June 6). With this achievement, Suga breaks the record for the highest ranking on the Billboard 200 by a Korean solo artist. The record was previously held by fellow BTS member RM’s “mono.” which debuted at No. 26 after its release in October 2018. Prior to RM, J-Hope’s 2018 mixtape “Hope World” had the record, debuting at No. 63 and rising to No. 38.
The Billboard 200 is calculated based on physical album sales, streaming equivalent albums (streaming numbers converted into album sales numbers), and track equivalent albums (track download numbers converted into album sales numbers).
Suga’s “D-2” also set a record on the United Kingdom’s Official Albums Chart, debuting at No. 7. The title track “Daechwita” also ranked on the Official Singles Chart” at No. 68.
Congratulations to Suga!
