Telling cis people that I've somehow internalized vegetarianism as a gendered quality is the funniest thing because I have literally never gotten a response other than "yeah that makes sense here's a funny related story from my own life."

The moral of the story is that some parts of my gender are so weird that it's looped back around to making sense to cis people.

Bertrand Russell and Jonathan Sims are both englishmen who did terrifying things with the power of unrestricted comprehension. In this way they are alike.

counterpoint because parallelism funny:

you will not find a more perfect, cozy darkness in the farthest illuminated corners of our cruel, uncaring world than that with which my heart cradles a love for mathematics. There is no subject more conducive to naive exploration nor endless discursive sharing than mathematics, none more deserving of happy practitioners, and none that provides such power to its enjoyers, provided they are willing to slow down and smell the roses that provide actual understanding. I cannot stress enough how tantamount avoiding math is for our collective sanity, and yet I choose to dance the eternal precipice of madness for where else can I stare into the void with such perfect meaningless clarity? It’s enforced continuation as a requirement in higher education is solely a method by affluent institutions to weed out economic undesirables, which is made all the more inexcusable by how fucking awesome math can be when taught well. And though the morals and virtues of the system that maintains it are in many ways deplorable, I choose to impose a better vision of what math can be on the world around me.

you will not find a more perfect, tar-rich blackness in the ozymandian depths of our extended universe than the blackness festering within my heart for mathematics. there is no subject nearly as devoid of love or compassion, none more thoroughly dedicated to the agony and persecution of innocent minds, none more worthy of scorn, defranchisement, and derision by anyone who is remotely concerned with the maintenance and direction of our educational system and its future. i cannot stress how tantamount the importance of avoiding math is for our collective sanity. its enforced continuation as a requirement in higher education is solely a method by affluent institutions to weed out economic undesirables, and its continued existence is a mere pastiche of the crocodile-tear morals and virtues of a tech industry utterly hellbent on sucking the blood of our children and razing the acres of our labor.

you sound like my little brother. Have a nice day missing the entire frontier of beauty I enjoy.
