There are important moments that should of been put on screen, and would have made the ship more likeable. I feel that the writers were just trying to bait the watchers, and even that it failed at, I bet fanon has better writing than what was in the show and canon, it’s very disappointing, I’d probably still be disappointed even if I did ship it.

As of the recent volume, I heard and have not watched, that Ruby is suicidal and Yang has other priorities, I think that tells a lot about what was going on. I hate that the fandom is making a joke out of it and not taking the topics of characters mental health seriously, I mean they don’t have to, they could at the very least criticize how Ruby’s feelings were portrayed in the show and how it could be represented better, but some people are being lame and making jokes out of it, which tells you a lot about the fandom. I’m basing it on one side of the fandom I saw, and just thought how sick it is for a certain part of the fandom to come to that conclusion.

I think the problem when it comes to shipping within a group of characters you run the risk of having the couple with in the group, care about each other more than their bond with the group, to the point they prioritize their relationship than their familial bond. It’s more of bro code, do you value your romantic relationships more than you value your friendships and family? It leaves a bitter taste for those who’ve experienced it, on both sides. We are reminded how close we actually weren’t with our friends or how we’ve begun to push away others. The story of Team RWBY doesn’t seem to be the story of unity they have rather how they’d grow as a group, which could be a pain for some viewers, who have to watch the immaturity of the team.

I won’t ever ship this, and I apologize to the friends and a people I admire who do.

Rwby chibi, certain cringe, will they won’t they moments ruined it for me. Also if this ship were to work for me, Ren would have to be more verbal with his thoughts or sometimes read Nora’s mind, please. Nora seems to be ok, I already like her, but we didn’t know Ren reciprocated her feelings until volume 4, but some of Nora’s actions can be a little over the top if we are looking at their relationship in a realistic pov.

Edit: when I said read her mind, I don’t mean with his newfound powers, I want him to get used to reading her without the powers.

I’ve usually had strong and awkward crushes like Nora in a sense, but I feel that Ren’s canon feelings towards her would never happen in reality. Ren might feel particularly disturbed by how Nora acts in Chibi, and I feel he may be to closed off to the regardless if it was RNJR or JNPR. If he’s more cautious about Nora’s and his safety that may explain how closed off too the group he is, but if he actually cared about the group more I’d feel he’d be more vocal about their safety and situations they keep getting themselves in, but you know Ren, he’s all quiet, and I don’t think he really has a good reason, and that being he’s actually constantly scared s***less.

To be honest I ship him with other people, might have to do with how close off he is and the shipping potential. For Nora I love her and most of the time I relate to her, which is not a good thing, because when it comes to relationships, friendships or otherwise, we care too much. When it comes to relating to both of them, sometimes we have a hard time with social cues, and we don’t know how to distance or how to be more affectionate with our friends, and thus sometimes we ruin our relationships or reputation, because of how we express ourselves.
