"are you wearing my shirt?" he looks up at me.

he just sat down at the dining table. i was making a sandwich and he had only just woke up.

"yeah is that alright?" i asked with some worry.

"yeah, is fine" he said with some mumble. his mouth full with toast.

"you look cute in it" he smiled up as i stood in front of him, between his legs.

his hands came up to rest on my waist.

"you're so pretty" i kissed his temple.

he pulls me down to sit on his knee. i smiled into his forehead.

"you're the pretty one, my pretty girl" i blush into his neck as he strokes the back of my (his) shirt.

Kate sat next to her fiancé of five hours at the Mindy family's dinner table. Yule stared absently at the centerpiece, not even reacting to her presence. She laid her hand on his.

"Are you alright? Your hands are trembling," she asked quietly.

Her touch shook him from his thoughts. He looked at her and half-smiled. "Y-Yeah, I'm cool." He straightened his back and sat up in the chair. He interlaced his fingers with hers.

"I- I just thought we would have more time," he said. "I would have liked actually marrying you."
