i think one of the funniest things about the shadow and bone netflix combining sab and soc is that those bitches dont even speak the same language the only crows that speak ravkan are nina and presumably inej kaz speaking to alina is so funny to me bc he doesnt speak ravkan! and she doesnt speak kerch! obviously i understand why for logistical purposes they all speak the same language and i am perfectly willing to suspend my disbelief for the purposes of the show i'm just saying i find it amusing

byler aside, i truly believe that the only way el will have a satisfying/happy ending is if she is single. she has spent her entire life being controls by others. first it was brenner and everyone else at the lab, then it was mike, then it was hopper. the only time we see her truly happy is in season 3 when she goes on the mall trip with max. i think season 4 really made her realize that being with mike is not the best thing for her happiness. i mean, she has mind powers and has killed like 2 dozen people, she doesn't need some suburban 14 year old boy to protect her. so whether byler is endgame or not, i really really hope the duffers let el truly find herself away from the control of others. she has been through so much, she deserves to be happy and fulfilled, surrounded by friends and family. she deserves the chance to discover who she is and who she wants to be.
