Legolas always speaks Sindarin either with the most regional semi-Silvan-hybrid accent possible or in a perfect Doriathrin quasi-shakespearian dialect. (So does Thranduil)

After a few days in Rivendell, the hobbits reasonably concluded that the female man is a myth. So much the same for the blond man. Meeting Éowyn was strange
My kid's Legolas and Thranduil Lego headcanons
Okay, so, my kid loves legos and she made herself Legolas and Thranduil out of different legos and I have followed their interactions over a year and these are the best ones:
1. When Legolas is a child (short lego legs) Thranduil decides it's time to put Leggy in the school.
2. Smoll Leggy doesen't like the civilized people, he climbs everywhere, starts fights and pees everywhere. He also tries to set the pool on fire and when it doesen't burn, he pees into the pool.
3. Smoll Leggy get's his first nemesis, Ollie. He doesen't like Ollie eating animals. (although elves does eat meat too)
4. Smoll Leggy sets Ollie's pants on fire. Ollie forgives him and they become friends.
4. Legolas and Ollie starts a fight club behind the school. He beats up a dwarf from neighbor school.
5. Thranduil comes to pick Legolas with his elk (a reindeer from Frozen, pulling a boat) He saws the fight club happening.
6. Thranduil drinks wine and cheers.
I have recorded some of the plays but I laughed so hard they are basically me snorting and giggling. Now the play has evolved Thranduil having a love interest and they have tried to get married multiplie times, but I' not sure...the weddings are usually pretty wild.
They live in a tree house. Thranduil is made of grumpy lego face, blond hair and Dumbledore's body. Legolas is mde of a viking lego and blond hair. There is also Gimli lego with same viking body, short legs and red beard.

Crack AU: Glorfindel is the son of Maglor and his Vanya wife.
This nightmare spawned from a comment conversation with @feanoryen about Glorfy's parentage, and she said something that inspired the horrifying idea that he's the son of Maglor and his (very-technically-semi-barely-canonical) Vanya wife.
Then feanoryen mentioned that, once upon a time, Maglor was in love with proto-Lúthien, Melloth - love flower.
And then Glorfindel is the Lord of the House of the Golden Flower. Laurelótë. Named for both parents, perhaps?
I can even explain how he ended up with Turgon and sundered from Maglor.
After the Poking Debacle (which is what I call the time Náro threatened Nolo), Maglor and his wife became estranged, and Glorfindel (then Laurefindelë, I guess) sided with his mother. Then the Darkening happened, and Glorf wanted to go to Beleriand, but he didn't want to be associated with his father's family, so he traveled with Turucáno. Blood was shed at Alqualondë, and Glorfindel completely disowned himself from his father. Turgon took Glorfindel under his wing.
As for his mother? She stayed in Valinórë - it's explicitly said Elenwë was the only Vanya to go to Endórë.
Maybe he didn't like Maeglin because the mole reminded him too much of Curufin.

Another note from Tolkien, and from this one I hc that the reason Maglor, Finrod and Fingon all played the harp is because they wanted to be sexy. People would look at their pretty hands *for hours*. Bonus points if they aren't the prettiest of their siblings but have the best hands.

Finrod crossing the Helcaraxë
Fighting a mild form of art block with something quick and dirty, aka Findarato crossing the ice (He hasn’t got a hat or a hood, I hear you cry. You would be right, please suspend your disbelief for the sake of DRAMA and hair snapping in the wind.
The crossing is a theme that I find deeply interesting, and I hadn’t painted Finrod before, so here we go <:

My parents - they're very cool and nice and I love them a whole lot
My sister - she's a rat but that's ok because she's very cool too and I love her. Smol me fell asleep when she was born which sad but it's ok because I got very happy when I saw her 😀
My besties - I've known my friends forever and I think it's really cool that we're still friends. I've known one since I was 2, another since I was 5, and another since I was 8 and we're still besties. We act like crackheads together and it's very fun.
My old AIG (basically gifted kid stuff) teacher - she's the one teacher that really made an impact in my life and I love her so much. And now I'm very sad bc I'm taller than her now and I've known her since I was eight....

Because this fandom loves being miserable I'm using this opportunity to remind you all about the fact that Maglor wasn't present during Maedhros' death and probably didn't knew about it for quite some time...
Like just imagine him searching for his brother in the wilds, cause they've kind of lost each other after they reclaimed the Silmarils.
Him thinking that maybe, just maybe, now that the Silmarils are gone they can finally find peace.
Him passing through a small town just to get some supplies and then overhearing the whispers that tell of the once great Lord of Himring that found his end by casting himself in the fire.
Him having his last tiny bit of hope shattered in the middle of a market place in a crowd full of people and yet finally utterly alone...
So, I was thinking about Elwing
(as you do) and about whether or not she abandoned her kids (I will give an opinion when I get to this on the reread)but I realized something: turning away from your kids and running in the opposite direction…
It's a very bird thing to do.
You know, when a predator comes, and mommy bird pretends to have a broken wing and run away, to lead it away from her nest and babies. This thing.
